This is a village based love story. Doctor Madhumitha comes to her fathers's village to postpone her unwanted marriage. There she meets her aunt's son sakthi, a farmer. They both begin to fall in love. Madhu, realizing that their love will bring problems in sakthi's family and tries to leave the village. Knowing this, sakthi marries her at an unexpected time during the temple festival. Story unfolds the consequences after the marriage, and how they reunite their families.
