Asher and Siobhan are giving off sparks behind the scenes, leaving their audience in want of more in this debut novella from Willa Drew. Because, what’s not to love about a bold woman who is unashamedly true to herself, and a certain movie star with a dazzling smile and heart of gold?
This was a quick and easy read featuring many well-loved tropes—including the brothers best friend and age-gap—and a fun bonus incorporated with the chapter breaks and paparazzi headlines to add that extra Hollywood touch. Ash and Siobhan were fun and so cute together, and I loved the Irish detailings worked into the story. My heart gave a little flutter every time that beautiful nickname, Réiltín, passed Ash’s lips. And her little star tattoo to match? Drew has nailed it with all these personal little touches!
While I personally felt the ending felt incomplete and I would have liked to see a bit more in concluding this story, there was no doubt Drew is a duo of talented writers who know how to hook a reader with their strong, and oh so sweet, relatable characters.
Thank you to the authors for the advanced copy. I am leaving my honest review voluntarily. 3.5 ⭐️
Star Struck was such a fast, cute read! I opened it thinking I'd get some reading in and didn't stop until I finished.
This celebrity romance brings together tidbits of Irish culture, the glamour of LA, and the second chance / brother's best friend tropes in such a sweet, fun way.
I love the personality of our leading lady, in particular, and found the couple's chemistry endearing and cute.
Overall, it was a fast, fun read but I wish there were more. I wanted to see their past and presents unfold a little more on page. But there are more books to come in this world, so perhaps I will get my wish one day.
3.5/5 Stars. I received an ARC of this book to facilitate my voluntary, honest review.
While attending an event to support her friend, Siobhan runs into the film star and tabloid darling Asher Menken. Asher doesn’t (at first) recognize his best friend’s little sister. As it happens, she’s not so little anymore.
As the authors explain it, this is how they rose to the Wattpad challenge, ‘the busy romantic’s five-minute read’. Having created Siobhan as a side character in earlier books, they decided to give her a story of her own.
I hadn’t yet met Siobhan before this novella but I’m glad to meet her now. She was fun and admirably confident. Asher was a sweetheart. He was so earnest that I immediately liked him. Two of them were very cute together.
All in all, a quick read that left me wanting more. Fair warning : closed-door and I’d classify the ending as hfn.

Many thanks to Booksprout and the author for providing me with a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
This was the perfect sweet quick read. I love brother’s best friend and age gap tropes so this was right up my ally. Siobhan and Ash have known each other since she was 9 but they haven’t seen each other in years. Sparks fly when they literally run into each other.
The characters are well written and I wouldn’t change anything about them. The book was paced well and worked as a quick read. This is perfect if you love hallmark movies, it is a very sweet read.
I can’t wait to find out what comes next for Ash and Siobhan.
I received an advanced reader copy (ARC) of this novel in exchange for an honest review. All opinions of this novel are my own and I am voluntarily leaving this review. “All in one piece, no thanks to you.” Asher and Siobhan are reunited after many years when they literally run into one another in a bathroom at a gala. Helping Siobhan up from the floor causes sparks to fly that only one of them knew ever existed. Asher, newly divorced, is on the market. Could Siobhan fit into Asher’s movie star lifestyle, or would the paparazzi tear her apart? Star Struck is the first novel in the Star series written by Willa Drew. This novel is full of fun, flirty, loveable characters: Asher with his move star smile and “I don’t care what you think” attitude and Siobhan with her sassy personality, body art, and colored hair that frequently matches her panties. Each chapter is written in the perspective of either Asher or Siobhan. I thoroughly enjoyed this style of writing. It aided in the understanding of how each character was feeling in particular situations within the novel. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and read it from front to back in one sitting. I do feel that it ended abruptly and left me with more questions than resolution. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a quick afternoon read that enjoys miscommunication tropes. I look forward to reading book two in hopes to discover more about Asher and Siobhan’s possible future together.
Absolutely, brilliant work , the story is genius and it flows fluently Maria Fernandez interviews Asher, ( all eyes are speculating about the missing person who is usually on his arm , his ex Layla )as he is part of the Starlight Foundation Ceremony thanks to his agent Jackson, it’s a good partnership and the perfect platform to introduce his new production company….When he is literally chased down by a stalker to the bathrooms, Asher/ Ash Menken and Siobhan/ Reiltin Casey meet up again in the oddest way , priceless! She is his best friend Owen’s little sister. The Casey farm holds fond memories for the young Ash visiting his friend Owen . There’s a beautiful connection to Siobhan he’s carried with him for years thanks to her stalwart belief in him even from a young age . Their relationship blossoms despite obstacles . It’s a very well written story that has me Starstruck with its pure penmanship. Good characters , relatable relationship background and very immersive description leading to a compelling read from start to finish . I read an arc of this book and my review is voluntary and my own words
As a quick novella following two people reconnecting again later in life, this was a fun read. The title is very literal, which was a great way to force the two into speaking again. There are interesting family dynamics at play, particularly because the FMC Siobhan hasn’t returned home in a bit because her parents don’t respect her life choices. However, it’s wonderful to see her stick up for herself and stop stifling her own joy just to please her family. I wouldn’t mind seeing a second novella continuing to follow the couple in life, especially because of Asher’s current time in the spotlight and how they work through those challenges together.
This is the prequel to Siobhan and Asher's story. Asher is Siobhan's brother's best friend and she has had a teenage crush on him. When they accidentally bump into each other at a gala in LA there is an instant attraction between them. A fun story with lots of laughs, her Irish family and trying to dodge the media with a heartwarming love story among the chaos.

Absolutely loved this story of Ash and Shioban. They knew each other when they were younger and she was a kid, but all grown up Shioban is hotter and more than Ash can handle. She’s feisty, sexy, and everything that he was missing from his first marriage. I wish there would’ve been more to the story though. Because I really enjoyed these characters. I do recommend reading it though. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The story simply drew me in with its complexity. There is a TON of steam mixed in with a deeper plot and two characters who belong together even if takes them a bit to figure that part out.

this was a cute romance novella, it worked great for a Hollywood star romance. It kept my interest and I enjoyed going through this journey with the two leads. I look forward to read more from Willa Drew.

This is book one in the Falling for the Movie Star Series. This story is an older man younger woman brother's best friend celebrity short romance. This book is a good read.

the story started off so strong and had me quite invested but then it became way too rushed with everything happening at once, and i completely lost the connection between Siobhan and Ash
This was a pretty fun book. Siobhan and Ash were a cute couple and I really enjoyed reading about them. I'm looking forward the next book in the series. I was gifted a copy.
Found on SYKD. Story was pretty interesting, but the ending was really abrupt and I felt like there could’ve been more to it instead of all the extra content at the end for other characters.
This was a good, quick read about falling in love with your teen crush. Even though Asher is 10 years older, Siobhan and him give into their attraction to one another. There are some funny moments with her large Irish family and with him dodging the paparazzi.
Loving someone famous comes with its pitfalls. Siobhan is a great character. Strong and bold. Asher is sweet despite his fame. This is a fun start to their story.
This was a fun and short read! Explicit language and implied/innuendo, but still pretty clean. Great book! Loved the characters and their romance ❤️ I loved the relationship between Siobhan’s family and her love interest.
