The mind may forget, but the heart always remembers…
Natalia Costa doesn’t know what caused her car to careen off Lake Shore Drive. The crash didn’t take her life, but it did take her job, her home, and three months of her memory. When a picture of a handsome stranger sparks a familiar feeling, Natalia is certain this mystery man can help her fill in the blanks.
Luther Gannon likes being a loner, even if his Good Hope neighbors don’t. Experience has taught him that getting close to people often ends in heartbreak. While it’s nearly impossible to live privately in the close-knit community, Luther has managed to keep his painful past out of the public eye--until Natalia Costa turns up in the town square.
Luther never dreamed he would see Natalia again, not after the way their short-lived relationship had ended. He can’t ignore her plea for help or his desire for a second chance with Natalia. But even if Luther can help her remember their past, how will he explain the one night he has been trying to forget?

Can Luke help Natalia put the pieces of her life back together, and show her that love is worth a second chance? This was one of the best contemporary romances I read in a long time. I’ve always loved Cindy Kirk’s writing, and this story is an example of why. Even though Good Hope is a fictional place, it’s a place I wish existed. The characters are friendly and supportive, they work together to help people in trouble, and they believe in love. It’s the way that are world should be. The romance between Natalia and Luthor was rekindled slowly. Even though they had some obstacles, I wanted them to succeed, and was satisfied with the happy ending. I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it.
I always love returning to Good Hope - it is one of my favorite fictional towns. This book focuses on two newcomers. First, there is Luther, who works from his beautiful home and kind of isolates himself from being TOO involved with the people of Good Hope. And Natalia, who comes seeking Luther in hopes that he'll help her recover some months of memory she lost after a terrible car accident.
I liked how the couple related to each other and also how they started establishing friendships in the community. I also liked the mystery of what happened in Natalia's past. That wasn't fully resolved, although the ending was satisfying. But I will hope to see a few more details in the future books :)
I received an ARC of this book from Cindy Kirk and the publisher in exchange for my opinions.
This is another addition of the Good Hope Series, but with a little bit of suspense. I immediately became immersed in the story and read it quite quickly. I was constantly asking myself what next? If you love the authors books as much as I do you will love this story! She still continues to include many of the beloved characters who reside in Good Hope which always brings the story to life! I received an advanced reader copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it.
I loved the characters and storyline in this book. Slightly aggravated that one of the mysteries in the book didn’t get wrapped up by the end, but I hope it does in the next book.

This is another beautiful written novel by Cindy Kirk. Remember Me in Good Hope is #18 of this series. This book can be read as a stand alone, or in succession, if you are like me and love a series of books. I love a series novels as I find I get completely lost & immersed in the characters lives. This book is set in the beautiful village of Good Hope, Wisconsin, it tells the story if the lives of the resident’s of Good Hope. Each character is unique, with a wide variety of ages. One of my favourite characters throughout this series being Gladys Bertholf. The main characters of this book are Natalia Costa & Luther Gannon, both fabulous additions to this series.
Remember Me in Good Hope is quite a spiritual novel, reminding us that through facing challenges & continuing to to learn & grow, we can become the best version of ourselves. We need to believe in ourselves, then we can achieve anything. New beginnings is a chance to live that dream life you have always wanted. I loved many quotes throughout this book, especially “through adversity we grow and become the best version of ourself”, also “without dark, we’d never see the stars”. It reminds us that we are not alone. We will always be supported spiritually & guided through challenges. Anything is possible as long as we have faith. As I am avid fan of all things spiritual, this book especially touched my soul.
Natalia has been involved in a road traffic accident in which she sustained a brain trauma & has now lost part of her memory. Prior to her accident, Natalia had been a workaholic. She lived & worked in Detroit, working 60+ hours per week as a PA for Randal, CEO of Harcourt Mortgage. She was a very loyal member of staff & had considered Randal & her co-workers to be family, as sadly she doesn’t have any family of her own. Natalia has no recollection of the night of the accident, nor does she have any memory of the 3 months leading up to the night of her accident. She finds a photo of herself & Luther at a fundraising gala. This photo stirs up something in Natalia. A feeling that Luther might be able to help her regain some, if not all, of her lost memory. Natalia visits Good Hope with the intention of finding Luther & hopefully “find” herself.
This book is beautifully written, with lots of twists & turns. A book for escapism set in a beautiful village with a small community of spirited residents. Reading this book, I got lost in their lives. I could clearly imagine & picture on my minds eye the beautiful scenery in Good Hope. Pure bliss, a book of escapism, I could practically immerse myself into the lives of the characters. I cannot wait for book #19!
Two new characters have arrived to Good Hope and I loved the characters. Enter Natalie Costa a hard working individual that works for a well known company, Harcourt Mortgage, in the Detroit area where she has put her heart and soul into for many years. That is until she is involved in a car accident that has no explanation as to how it happened. Putting Natalie into the hospital, she is finally released with memory issues that has affected the previous three months before the accident. She does go back to work where the CEO of the company, Randal, shows her concern whether she is gaining her memory back. But the concern comes to a halt when he lets her go due to not bouncing back as fast as he thought she should have. With no job and still no memory Natalie comes up with trying to find the one person that might be able to help her with those missing months of her memory. The clue she found was the person that she was dating casually during the missing months, Luther Gannon, who was part of the Gannon Financial Corporation who ended up involved with the mortgage company Natalie had worked at where they lost millions of dollars. The clue leads her to a small town in Wisconsin where she got in a car and headed that way. Luther needed to get away from the day to day office life while continuing to work with the company remotely. He found the small town of Good Hope the perfect place in which he could do that. It did not take long before he was so comfortable with the town that he impulsively bought some land and had a house built without truly knowing how long he was staying. To Luther’s surprise and while attending one of the many community festivals in the town square, he runs up on Natalie, who is already making friends with some of the couples that make up Good Hope. Once Luther and Natalie get to themselves and she explains her reasoning of being there, Luther agrees to help her attempt to gain back the missing memory. Natalie accepts Luther’s generous offer to stay at his home with more than enough room for both of them. As the weeks go by Luther and Natalie get closer and she slowly starts regaining her memory. Keeping it to themselves, they both realize that their feelings are growing for each other. Luther, though, has a concern that if Natalie remembers how their relationship ended that she won’t want to have anything to do with him. Can the two of them gain a life together in Good Hope and get through the past which tore them apart previously? Will they have a future together and with all the other couples there in town? Once again author Cindy Kirk has created a story that has endings that has answers to our questions. I received an advanced reader copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it.
This is another great addition to the Good Hope series. Good Hope, Wisconsin has become a town that I would like to make my hometown. The people care about one another and they have many activities and occasions that bring the community together. I enjoyed the escape of the latest in this series.
In this story we have two newcomers to Good Hope. Natalia Costa has left Detroit after losing her job due to her boss, Randal Harcourt, not being pleased with the fact that she is taking longer to recuperate from a bad accident that left her in a coma for three days. She is not able to work the grueling hours that she had prior to her accident. She goes to Good Hope to meet up with a former friend and see if she can get her memory back for the 3 months prior to the accident. She was hoping she would be able to close the three month gap in her memory and feel whole again.
Luther Gannon also moved to Good Hope from Detroit. Luther and Natalia had previously dated in Detroit and Natalia was now hoping that Luther could fill in the missing pieces of her memory. However, their relationship ended on a bad note for which Natalia has no memory of. There was a scandal that would soon hit Harcourt Mortgage which was the company that Natalia had been employed by. This was a scandal that would cost Gannon Financial Corporation millions because of the lines of credit that they extended to Harcourt Mortgage. Gannon Financial was owned by Luther’s family.
Luther and Natalia’s friendship is rekindled and the attraction is still very strong between the couple. Luther offers to let Natalia stay at his home as there were very little accommodations available at that time. Natalia was able to meet many of the residents of Good Hope and make friends to surround herself with and she wanted friends who truly cared about her and not just about what she could do for them. Friends like that had been nonexistent in her life while living in Detroit.
As Natalia’s memory slowly comes back, her friendship with Luther blossoms and they find themselves falling in love. This was such an enjoyable second chance romance. I highly recommend you sit back and enjoy this sweet romance that has a little bit of angst and a lot of love. I’m looking forward to coming back to Good Hope to follow up on all the interesting characters that I have come to know and love! I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am happy to voluntarily review it.
Good Hope is the best place to run away. Natalia realizes her whole life is changing and feels lost she heads to Good Hope hoping to find herself. Natalia was in a car accident and can't remember 3 months of her life. She tries to go back to her old life, but she just isn't that person anymore. Believing that if she can figure out those last 3 months she might be able to put her life and herself back together. She finds a photo of a man she dated and decides to track him down. Luther is looking for a change and buys and builds a home in Good Hope. He doesn't want to be part of the community or get involved, but he soon realizes that might not be possible in a place like Good Hope. When Natalia shows up in Good Hope with a story about not remembering dating him or the last 3 months, he doesn't know what to believe. He really liked Natalia, but she was married to her job and very loyal to a deceitful man. Luther decides that this is second chance to be with a woman who he really liked and he wasn't going to mess it up. So he agrees to not only help Natalia, but also let her live with him. While Natalia remembers a few things here and there what she really finds is real friends, a community she wants to be part of and a man she believes she could love for the rest of her life. There is no going back to the old workaholic life she had. Natalia makes up her mind with or without Luther (though she would rather it be with him), she was going to make a new life for herself in Good Hope! We are slowly spiraling away from the main Bloom sisters this series started with. But with each new book we meed new and wonderful characters. I really enjoyed this book. There is a great mystery building on what really happened to Natalia on the night of her car accident. Will we ever truly know??? I guess I'll be back for the next book to see if Natalia and Luther show up. Good Hope is a small town you never know who might make an appearance. I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it.
Natalia Costa awakens after a three- day coma to find her life has gone sideways. She is recovering from a serious car accident; her car skidded off the road and hit a tree. She’s lost three months of her life—and she has no recollection of why she was driving on Lakeshore Road. A photograph taken of Natalia and Luther Gannon is her only clue to her past. Cindy Kirk writes a compelling story for Natalia and Luther. The attraction between the couple sizzles and the slow burn romance unfolded perfectly. Natalia’s desire to regain her memory and to understand why she and Luther ended their relationship drives the storyline. Natalia is an intelligent, career driven personality—she has no family or friends as work consumed her. She’s at a cross roads—she’s lost three months of time, her job and her home—and she’s frightened. Luther Gannon has relocated to from Detroit to Good Hope to expand his family’s business holdings. Luther is a dynamic character-his compassion and desire to help Natalia combined with his strong work ethic captivated me. The author provides both Luther and Natalia a do-over. Loved that the couple became immersed in the Good Hope community and realized the importance of friendships and community. Cindy Kirk creates appealing, complex characters—each one plays an important role in the Good Hope community. Loved catching up with Izzie, Theo, Ruby, Katherine and Gladys. As Natalia remembers bits and pieces of her memory, she tries to reconcile her past with her present, while Luther realizes that he can also make different choices. I loved the pairing of this couple – their romance and the heartfelt, emotional conversations—it worked for me. The elements of danger and suspense incorporated into the well-paced storyline added to my enjoyment of the novel. Remember Me In Good Hope is the perfect beach read—pick up a copy and enjoy your visit to Good Hope!
I am a huge fan of the small town of Good Hope. I have found the people who live there are warm and welcoming. Every book in this series had introduced me to a place that would be the perfect small town in which to live. I think I might even be able to forget that there would be cold and snow if I lived there. Natalia has come to Good Hope to help find the answers to some big questions. She was in a terrible auto accident and went into a coma. When she came out of her coma, she found that she had lost her memory of the accident as well as the past 3 months. And when she was fired by a boss who said that she was a part of the company family, she felt that she had lost so much and had not idea why things were happening as they were. Luther was a man who Natalia had dated. In her vague memories, Natalia remembers him with a sense of good feelings. Since he is in Good Hope, that is where Natalia goes to find answers. Natalia and Luther are both nice people who attempt to help recreate her memories and see what develops. Bits of memory do appear every now and then. But there are still more questions than answers in Natalia’s life. I think I would have liked this story more if there had been actual solutions to some of the business questions. I am a fan of mysteries, but I do want mysteries to be solved. I liked being able to revisit people in Good Hope. I liked Natalia and Luther. But, to be honest this story did not have the depth that I generally find in Good Hope books. It may have simply been me. I know that going to Good Hope has always been one of the best trips this reader could take. So, this book was nice, but not as wonderful as I normally expect. I received the book from the author in the hope of me writing a fair and honest review. I am voluntarily writing this review. All opinions are completely my own.
I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. Welcome back to Good Hope under some very unusual circumstances. Natalia Costa was in a bad car accident that caused her to have amnesia for the three months of her life leading up to the accident. Due to the accident, she also got fired from the company that she gave her all to. Her co-workers whom she considered family also walked away. With nothing but a picture of Luther Gannon, she decided to head to Good Hope for a visit.
Luther Gannon visited Good Hope to get away from the family business after making a mistake that could cause the business to lose millions. During his visit, Luther decided to build a house. Instead of selling the house right away, Luther moved in to contemplate his next move.
Luther and Natalia dated for three months. Seeing a picture of them together gave Natalia warm feelings. She decided that Luther might be the person to help her get her memory back. Each have a lot to overcome. Most importantly figuring out how two people that were completely devoted to their careers can navigate the hometown feel in Good Hope. The town of Good Hope instantly swallows them in. Natalia has to figure out who she really is without work. Luther has to figure out how to keep Natalia from finding out the true reason why they broke up. Feelings abound as these two spend time together to get Natalia’s memories back.
Will Natalia forgive Luther when she learns the truth? Can Luther forget that Natalia worked for the company that could lose millions for his company? Readers will fall in love with this couple and hope that they make a home together in Good Hope. This sweet town is everything you could want in a town. I enjoy going back there every time.
****3 stars**** The book starts off giving the reader a bit of a mystery and a different start from the other books in the Good Hope series. Unfortunately again when the main characters already have a connection having the other characters that live in Good Hope try and set them up or interfere in what is already there felt off. Natalia acts too friendly from the get go with Luther and that doesn’t align with having no memory of the time with Luther. I can see maybe feeling things but to act on it just was a bit too much for me. Luther as a character was I feel too trusting with the whole situation although I did like that the author did address this in the book. Luther's mention of being asked several times to attend church and his not wanting to attend and yet still essentially feeling forced to go. Yes he found a message but I would have preferred it to not feel like the characters were forced. Loved the intimate relationship that happened though in the second half of the book when they were doing the challenge. The reason for why they accident happened would be mentioned here and there yet became an important piece. Idk that part felt off.
*** I received an advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest opinion of the book*** 1 star off because it felt like a part of the story that was introduced wasnt fully explored so why delve so much into it in the beginning. 1 star off because the other characters were written to be too pushy. Gladys is the regular pushy character but to have other characters also push was off. Felt like they changed .

Remember Me in Good Hope is the eighteenth in the Good Hope series but can be read as a stand alone although I suggest reading the previous stories to give you a little insight to other characters that pop up throughout the story. This is a story of a second chance at romance and a fresh start to a new type of lifestyle. Natalia Costa was a workaholic who had little time for anything else but then a car accident has changed everything for her. She is now without a job, a home and three months of her memory. Struggling to regain her memory leads her to Good Hope and an old flame, Luther Gannon. Luther is a loner, workaholic and prefers limiting his time interacting with his new town and residents. He is shocked when he sees Natalia at a local festival and even more shocked when she says she is there to see him. Learning of her struggles, he agrees to help her and hopes she won't recall the real reason they broke up. As the two spend time together, their attraction rekindles and grows stronger but when more memories come to light both must learn to follow what is in their heart. Seeing Natalia's delight in the different events has Luther changing his perspective of life in Good Hope. This is a wonderfully written story with all the feelings and heart of a small town that everyone wants to visit or move to. The characters are delightful, quirky and fun loving.
I received an advanced reader copy from the publisher but all thoughts and feelings are my own.
Natalia was involved in a terrible car crash. She lost three months of her memory and comes to Good Hope in search of Luther, whom she has a picture of and hopes may be a key to helping her unlock the lost months leading into her accident.
This was a good story, although a little underwhelming this time around as we return to Good hope. Natalia and Luther seem a little too comfortable with each other considering Natalia has lost most memories of the time right before her accident, including her time with Luther when they both lived in Detroit. On the surface, this was a a sweet story of trust and building on a feeling of knowing someone without really knowing them, but it still left me a bit underwhelmed. The story itself is a quick read and as we are continually introduced to more characters, I look forward to who we meet in the next book. I was left with a sense of the story not quite being complete because I expected more details or some type of resolution in terms of Natalia's former employer and his dealings with Luther as well. It is possible this will be forthcoming as a detail dropped in a new story. Overall a pleasant read and a nice diversion in Good Hope, simply not my favorite. I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it. The opinions and thoughts are mine and mine alone.
Oh Good Hope, how I love visiting! I so wish this was a real place, I would move there in heartbeat. As usual, this book was filled with coziness, fun neighbors, and small town happenings.
This was a sweet second chance romance, with a little mystery thrown in. We start with Natalia in the hospital finding out she has been in a car accident and now cannot remember the last 3 months. I thought this take on amnesia was different than I've read before, and really enjoyed it. Why did her car go off the road? What's going on with her work? Why was she suddenly fired? So many mysteries and questions!
Luther and Natalia have a past relationship, that ended with them each saying things they now regret. Luther promises to help Natalia and along the way, those feelings come back. I loved watching them come together and find their way.
I was left with a couple questions still at the end, which is unusual for Good Hope books, but I still found the story enjoyable. I love that past characters are sprinkled in and we get to visit with them through others eyes.
I look forward to the next book in the series!

Returning to Good Hope is always a huge treat for me. Revisiting familiar characters and catching up on how they are doing is always very heartwarming.
This current story in the Good Hope series is all about Natalia and Luther. Natalia has a car accident and essentially, her life. She comes across Luther's picture and it sparks a memory. Faint and fleeting, but a memory, nonetheless.
Luther has made the choice to set himself apart from the tightly knit community of Good Hope - he is a loner, self contained and just not a fan of being part of the community. There is a connection between Luther and Natalia and the story begins when Natalia seeks Luther out; just so she can remember. This is a huge surprise and definitely throws Luther off for a loop.
The story is beautifully written, as I have come to expect from Cindy's books. It is a story about how remembering and finding a new, unexpected life. It is accepting change as a path to happiness. Natalia and Luther were fated, but Luther's resistance and Natalia's memory issues make finding their joy challenging and interesting.
At the end of the day, this pair is a great addition to the community of Good Hope, and I cannot wait to read about their future, and know more about the going-ons at my favorite community of Good Hope!
A welcome return to Good Hope, it felt like catching up with old friends and meeting new ones! I loved hearing about how life was treating our well loved characters and was eager to learn about the new couple in this instalment.
We meet Natalia who has been in a car accident and lost her memory of the last 3 months. She is headed to Good Hope, hoping that she will remember. She knew Luther from before and hopes that he will be able to help het but what she doesn't remember is that she and Luther did not have an amicable ending.
However Luther promises to help Natalia and realises that the feelings are still there. He is worried though that Natalia will remember what he said to her to end things. But Natalia has changed and she realises that she also has feelings for Luther.
So whilst the romance seems easy, there is the mystery of the car crash. As her memory starts to return we learn about what really happened............
I can't wait for another instalment in Good Hope!

“I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it.” Returning to Good Hope even after all of the previous books, still feels fresh & always leaves me wanting me. Remember Me in Good Hope was no exception. This book focuses on two newer characters to Good Hope - Luther & Natalia. Luther lives in Good Hope but stays in his own world & house as to not get too involved with the citizens of Good Hope. Natalia is an out of towner that comes looking for Luther in the hope that he can help her. She was in a serious car accident & has lost three months of her memory that she is hoping Luther can help her recover. What starts out as exes with a past turns to real friendship & then love. The path to love isn't without its obstacles but Luther & Natalia whether the storm & come out the other side as their better selves. Once again I got lost in Ms Kirk's 18th Good Hope book always wanting to know what happens next. If this is your first Good hope, enjoy as it can be read as a standalone novel but I highly recommend reading the others in the series.
Luther Gannon has been in Good Hope for awhile . He lives in a big mansion that many of the community is enthralled by. He is someone who keeps to himself and not too many people know much about him. Natalia Costa has had a car accident that resulted in her having a mini amnesia where the last three months she cannot remember what has happened to her. Through going through her photos she finds one of her and Luther and decides to seek him out to see if he can trigger her memory back. So begins this story of two souls who once dated finding their way back to each other through challenging circumstances. As Natalia tries to figure out the various memories and thoughts in her mind she wrestles with what she has found out about herself and Luther and wonder if these issues would stop their budding romance. It was a treat as always getting back into reading about the lovely people in Good Hope and while falling in love with Luther and Natalia we get catch up of some of our famous other couples. Was giving an arc by the author.
I have read all of the Good Hope series and I have enjoyed every book in the series!! This one did not disappoint!!
It is a story of two people who came from Michigan- at different times. They met in Michigan, had a brief romance and parted ways. The story is of Luther and Natalia. Both were “married” to their jobs back in Michigan and had no extra time for a relationship.
Natalia has a horrible accident and suffers from a head injury that affects her memories. She cannot remember the last 3 months before the accident. She gets fired from her job and has no ties to Michigan.
She finds a picture of her and Luther and it sparks something. She drives to Good Hope and asks Luther for help with restoring her memories that she has lost. He agrees to help her and the relationship quickly blossoms from there.
Of course there are some twists and turns to their story but it was a quick and enjoyable read.
As always Ms. Kirk includes the other residents of Good Hope in the story so you can stay connected to all the past characters from the book series which I love!
Second chances get complicated when Natalia remembers little about her former relationship with Luther, but hopes by seeking him out, he can give her some insight on her life before the accident that caused her short-term memory lapse.
When the two fell in love the first time, there were reasons for the chemistry. But why the break-up?
With Natalia in town, they both become involved in the community and realize Good Hope is a wonderful place to live. They each embark on a journey of self-discovery…together. And each begins to understand that the other is an integral part of piecing together the puzzle of their lives. They fall in love…again…as they string together clues to explain the reason for Natalia’s memory loss.
Can their new, second time around love withstand the secrets that destroyed their first relationship? A sweet rebuilding of two individual lives that bring them back together as a forever couple, with, of course, the help from the wonderful folks who live in Good Hope.
I was given this book by the publisher in exchange for an unbiased review.
I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it. It seems ages since we visited Good Hope and this book doesn’t disappoint. This follows the story of Luther and Natalia. These to me are new characters, although Luther has been mentioned before when he bought a piece of land from Cade. Natalia suffers a car crash resulting in the loss of her memory for the three months prior to the accident. During those three months she briefly dated Luther but has no memory of dating him. After six months her crooked boss fires her so she travels to Good Hope to see Luther and try and regain some memories. The spark between them is still there and as their relationship progresses, she does regain some memories. This is a beautiful story about second chances. My only disappointment although minor was the end still left unanswered questions from Natalia’s previous life, mainly wanting to know if her old boss got his comeuppance. Love the Good Hope series and cannot wait for the next one.
Memory loss gives a second chance for happiness! This is about Natalia and Luther. The story starts off with Natalia in the hospital after a car accident and she doesn’t remember anything three months prior to the accident or where she was going. Of course, she was told that it would come back to her eventually. Luther and she had some dates back in those months that she doesn’t remember much, but she comes across a picture of him and her and she figures that he may be the answer she needs to remember things. She loses the job that she has sacrificed so much for and when she recovers realizes why that was. The story is great – Luther keeps a secret from her and because of it things get rocky between them but more than anything after she realizes what happens she has to determine can she change and stay in Good Hope and will Luther do the same as they are so devoted to their careers. The story is great but the question of the wreck still remains unanswered - will we learn more about this in the next story?
Natalia is very loyal to her boss to the point of working crazy hours for him. Sometimes loyalty can blind us to serious flaws that shouldn’t be ignored. Luther discovers, after a couple of months of dating Natalia, just how deep that loyalty runs and makes the mistake of calling her out on it. Fast forward six months where we find Natalia on Luther’s doorstep in Good Hope with no memory of the few months they dated. Don’t you just love do overs? Luther is given a second chance to right the wrong with Natalia and hopefully move forward to a promising life for both…together! With the help of Izzie and Theo Holbrook, Hadley and David Chapin, Shelby Walters, and, of course, the posse, Gladys, Katherine, and Ruby resistance is futile and success is imminent! I also noticed a little unrest with Gladys so I’m sure Cindy will reveal what that is soon! Remember Me in Good Hope is a must read and well worth it as Cindy Kirk hits another home run! I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it.
Good Hope is a fictional town that everyone hopes to live in. This small town is the perfect setting for the latest book, Remember Me in Good Hope (Book 18 of the Good Hope series). Natalia arrives in Good Hope looking for answers after an auto accident that had left her in a coma. Upon awakening from the coma, Natalia discovered she had no memory of her accident or the prior three months. One thing Natalia did remember was Luther. So, since he was in Good Hope, she went there looking for answers. When she arrives, Luther is surprised to see her but is even more surprised to learn she has suffered from amnesia.
Luther works with Natalia trying to help her recreate some of her past and her memories to try to help her regain the memories that she had lost. As Natalia and Luther grow closer together, she remembers what happened the night of her accident. She also remembers why Luther and she broke up. Want to know what happens? You need to read the book!
I received an advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest opinion of the book
I had fun reconnecting with all the people I have read about in Good Hope and where they are now.
Seeing the town through the eyes of Natalia and Luther was like coming home and sharing in the essence of the sweet community in Good Hope.
The trust between people is the essential part of a relationship. Luther and Natalia had a lot against them from dealing with her past employer, Randal. I can’t imagine how hard it was to have no memory and then start getting pieces back but not knowing how they fit.
I am glad Natalia is able to have a better life away from so much work. Life is about balance and they were having fun getting to know one another and visiting special places and people in Good Hope.
Is this the last book in the Good Hope series. I hope not. I want to know what is happening with Gladys. What was going on with her?
I am glad I was able to read an advanced copy from the publisher for me to voluntarily review.
Welcome back to Good Hope! I am a huge fan of all the Good Hope books and love getting to "catch up" with previous characters in each new book - this book did not disappoint! It could be read as a stand-alone but then you would miss all the insights to the fun characters!
As for the story - I'm hoping this was a transition book because too much was left "open ended", from Natalia's mystery to Gladys, and even the pitcher who bowed out unexpectedly. Although I finished the book days ago, I keep feeling like I haven't finished and there is more to read - I don't like that feeling after finishing a book. The overall story of the romance between Luther and Natalia felt a little flat, their story did not have the depth that I generally find in Good Hope books but overall it was an enjoyable read. I look forward to more Good Hope stories!
I received an advanced reader copy of this book from the publisher for a honest review.
Natalia and Luther were just starting to get to know each other when they had a disagreement about her blind faith in her employer and broke up. Fast forward 6 months and she is in Good Hope, let go from her job, out of her corporate apartment and looking to fill 3 months of memories. She had been in a single car accident and lost the previous 3 months, which included the time she spent with Luther. She saw a picture of the two of them at a gala, and she just knew that he could help her remember. Off she goes to Good Hope and tells Luther her problem and he wants to help. Of course they grow closer, she finds out that he suspected that Natalia may have been in cahoots with her former employer and she feels that he won’t trust her.
All ends well, as it is a sweet romance. Bedroom door is closed. Great read and a real feel good book. "I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it."
I love Good Hope stories and the author mixed it up a little by deviating slightly from the usual formula. There is still a happy ending but in this installment involves some relative newcomers to the town and there is an element of suspense and mystery that aren't usually a part of this series.
I was excited for the mystery and potential danger so I was not impressed by how that part of the plot ended as it felt like a waste of good potential. But our characters found love and that is what matters most.
I liked that Gladys took a break from formal matchmaking in this installment yet we still got to see plenty of her and got a hint of some of her personal drama.
As always, I am left satisfied and ready for the next book in the series.
I receive a complimentary copy and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
Natalia Costa comes to Good Hope after a car accident that costs her some of her memory. She finds Luther Gannon, someone she had previously dated when they both lived in Michigan and hopes that he can help her fill in the blanks.
A great story about second chances and how to change things. Many people do not get the opportunity to re-invent themselves in a new community, but both Natalia and Luther are given this chance and together they make the most of it, especially finding love.
A younger generation of Good Hope citizens are now being spotlighted, with appearances by some favorites like Gladys the matchmaker and her cohorts Ruby and Katherine, Izzie, and the Chapin siblings. We are also taken to many places we have visited before in Good Hope like Rakes Farm but new places were highlighted in this book.
