Love New Zealand #3

Night and Day

Rate this book
She lives on the other side of the world. He doesn’t go beyond the corner store.

TV producer Mia is torn between her work ambition and passion for songwriting. Facing a huge career choice, she embarks on a round-the-world trip to find answers. Soul searching turns into a nightmare when she’s robbed. Stuck in New Zealand with only a guitar on her back, she calls the one local she can think of: an editor she once hired via email.

Izzy spends his days in his basement, working on an ambitious film project. His family wants him back on the dating scene, but Izzy prefers imaginary realms to real people. He’ll join the living when he’s reached his creative goals. Probably.

When Izzy’s solitude is crashed by a woman in trouble, he can’t resist the call to help. Having a fleeting visitor gives him an idea – a fake relationship with Mia will get his family off his back. In return, he’ll be a good host (nothing more) and show her New Zealand is not a crime-infested hellhole. He’ll just have to ignore the instant attraction and creative sparks that fly when they're in the same room, or boat, or… cave.

Their chance encounter changes everything, but how could it ever work? Mia’s whole life waits for her in Helsinki, while Izzy struggles to leave his basement. They’re night and day. Unworkable.

Opposites attract, but how far would you go for love?

---
This is a steamy romantic comedy, featuring:

A bearded, passionate caveman with a heart of gold
Late-night duets and a totally healthy music obsession
Fake dating
Glowworm caves
Riverboat sexy times
African Grey parrot called Casanova who fires out pickup lines
Summer heat and snowflakes (yes, in the same book!)

**Content warnings**
- past suicide
- anxiety / mental health

There is no cheating in this story :)

Enni Amanda is a Finnish–New Zealand rom-com author who writes warm, funny love stories with real-life bite.

She immigrated from Finland to New Zealand in 2006 and promptly fell in love with the scenery, the people, and the strange thrill of not having to defrost a car every morning. After years spent studying filmmaking, running a film festival, and zig-zagging between two countries that really should be closer together, she discovered screenwriting, which eventually led to writing books (a slippery slope).

These days she lives in the Waikato (close to the rolling hills of the Shire), raising two energetic boys, designing things, and writing books while heroically avoiding housework.

I would firstly just like to say a huge thank you to the author who very kindly forwarded me a beta copy of her book, for my Kindle, in return for my honest feedback and review.

Right from the very beginning of this book I was absolutely loving this story and knew it had wonderful potential.
Mia and Izzy are really lovely characters, written really well, albeit both with their own sets of problems but to me that just made them that bit more human. It was also great to have the main male lead as the most vulnerable and damaged one who also needs fixing and I loved how they both helped each other to overcome their insecurities. I absolutely fell in love with the gorgeous Izzy right from the very start. He was extremely socially anxious and would much rather keep to himself but when he first met Mia something inside him changed and out came his alpha male!!
I also really enjoyed learning all the differences between New Zealand and Finland and all the places that they visited in New Zealand were wonderful and the way in which it was beautifully written I could honestly imagine myself being there.
Night and Day is full of amazing playlists, emotions, romance and funny moments and I absolutely enjoyed every single second of it!
This book had the most perfect ending and I am so glad that I read it. It was the kind of book that swallows you up whole and all that you can think about is the characters and story and they start to become like real people - amazing!
Enni has a wonderful, descriptive writing style and Night And Day was very well written, very emotional.
It was a brilliant five-star read and I would easily award it many more stars if I could!! I will definitely be coming back for more from this author and I cannot wait!!

3.5 First of all thank you so much to the author for sending me a signed copy of this 🥺🫶🏼

We follow Mia, a Finnish TV producer as she takes a break from work and travels to New Zealand. While she’s there she gets robbed and decides to contact the only local she knows - an editor she hired via email and asks him for help. There’s so much to enjoy in here - fake dating, glow-worm caves, guitar jam sessions, playlists and two lovable and vulnerable main characters

This book was such a cute romcom and I really liked it! I have to say it took me a while to get into it but once the fake dating (one of my favorite tropes ever) started and I started to feel their connection between each other I liked it more

I really like the characters both as individuals and together but I have to say for me Izzy really stood out and I feel like a lot of people can see themselves in him, just the way he’s talking about going to public places and overall being an introvert - it can be so hard sometimes. He’s such a cinnamon roll hero and I always love those. Their relationship was so cute and wholesome and I love the creative spark that was between the two of them, I always love reading about musicians in books and that special bond between the main characters

This is the 3rd and final part of the love New Zealand series but can be read as a standalone! Ive read the whole series but this is one is definitely my favorite<3

First off let me start this off by saying a huge thank you to the author, for sending me an ARC!☺️

The story follows Mia, a Finnish TV producer who has to make some very important decisions regarding her career and relationship. She decides to take a break and travel the world to find herself. While in New Zealand she gets robbed, so she contacts the only local she knows, an editor she hired via email, and asks for help.

Whew! This book is the definition of a cute rom-com! It captured my interest from the first chapter and it was super easy to follow the story. Even though it’s in 3rd person (and usually i don’t go for that) I loved it because it is dual POV. Plus fake dating might or might not be my favorite trope👀
I connected with the characters but especially with Izzy, because i’m a hardcore introvert myself✌🏻Seeing him describe the feelings he felt going to public places was so familiar and I felt understood/ seen😅
The relationship between Mia and Izzy is so wholesome and I couldn’t get enough of their little adventures. From the jamming out sessions, to glow worm caves and boat rides, everything felt like a fairytale. They share a healthy relationship and I feel like they truly complete and bring out the best version of each other.
The only thing I wasn’t fond of is that it felt a bit rushed in the beginning but I guess that’s the point of the story. To recognize something magical the moment it comes into your life and know right away that you have to fight for it💫

P.S. Casanova stole the show🦜🤍

Enni Amanda combines two of my favourite themes, music and travel in her sweet, heartfelt, slow-burn #romcom NIGHT AND DAY and I am here for it all 🥰 ⁣

There's so much to enjoy... fake dating, glow-worm caves, a cheeky African Grey parrot, guitar jam sessions and sweet Spotify playlists (the equivalent of a mixtape/CD in my day!) but at the heart of this #feelgood romance are two lovable, vulnerable and relatable main characters. Izzy is your bearded cinnamon roll hero - a creative, musical introvert who you just want to hug and Mia is a sensitive soul seeking more out of life and love. ⁣

I enjoyed how Mia and Izzy's connection deepened genuinely as they slowly let each other in. Their chemistry was amazing and they really complemented each other, bringing out a more confident and stronger version of themselves. ⁣

I was engaged from the very first page with Enni Amanda's immersive writing, loved that we got dual POVs and the accompanying playlist with a song written by the author's sister (how amazing is that!?!) was an excellent touch. ⁣

#NightAndDay can easily be read as a standalone, it's the 3rd book in the series and I enjoyed it without having read the previous books - though I'll definitely be going back and reading the rest of the series. ⁣

@enniamanda reminds us how beautiful falling in love can be and I look forward to reading more from her. If you're looking to satisfy your wanderlust with a bit of #armchairtravel and escape with a heartwarming romance then I'd recommend picking up #NightAndDay ⁣

Thanks to Enni Amanda for providing an eARC for review.

What a great story by author Enni Amanda! She just keeps getting better and better!

Mia has been on a solo travel adventure around the world, trying to decide whether or not she’ll accept an important job with her boyfriend’s startup company back in Finland. When she arrives in New Zealand she takes a brief moment to close her eyes for a rare prayer and is robbed of everything but the guitar she’s carrying. She’s left with nothing and no way to contact anyone she knows for help. (Ugh! Reality! Everything is programmed in our phones these days so we don’t memorize numbers.) She finds a way to reach out to a guy named Isaiah from New Zealand that she had worked with, and he jumps in to save the day! He might look scary after hiding away in his basement working on his passion project for too long, but he’s got a heart of gold. Izzy gives Mia a place to stay (at his place,) and helps her get all she needs. These two seem like opposites, but can’t help being drawn to each other. They bond over music and creative outlets, and have honest conversations. They even bond over fake dating to ease the pressure from Izzy’s family that wishes he’d get out and date. But it doesn’t feel very fake. Too bad Mia will go home which is so far away. Could anything ever work out for them?

I loved the dynamics between the main characters. Mia is a bit out of sorts as she finds herself totally dependent on the kindness of a stranger and still unsure of her future plans with her job or boyfriend. She’s surprised to find how much she enjoys playing music and really being seen for who she is by Izzy. His tough exterior covers his sensitive and caring nature. He’s struggled after someone he loved committed suicide and has increasingly retreated into his work in his basement. I liked how these opposites helped each other open up to parts of themselves that they had closed off. And their chemistry is great! (Steamy parts.)

The side characters are also delightful. Izzy’s roommate, Deke, and his talking parrot add fun banter! Izzy’s family and their concern for him add dimension and sweet situations, too. The settings of beautiful New Zealand and snowy Finland are great backdrops for the story. Enni has said the Finnish are self deprecating, so she doesn’t make her Finland sound nearly as inviting as New Zealand. 🤣 But I’d love a trip to NZ!

Some deep issues are addressed and the characters do some soul searching, but there are plenty of light, fun and sweet parts to keep the book on more of a feel good level.

Such a great book! Lots of great balance - comforting, yet challenging; sweet and also spicy; reserved as well as revealing; and funny but with great depth. Kind of like the hot and cold of New Zealand and Finland - we get the best of both worlds. I really enjoyed escaping into this novel! And I appreciated that I felt like I got a bit of a peek into this author’s world - places she loves, things that interest her; and the musical connection of the song her sister wrote and the playlist was a beautiful addition that helped really transport me into the story.
Beautiful work, Enni!

- Thankful to the author for the gift of an ARC. This is my honest review given on my own accord.

- 4.5⭐️ rounded up. Truly such a wonderful effort! I wish this Indie author writing in a language that isn’t her native tongue had more editing help, but I was better prepared for some differences this time since I’ve read her work before.

A romance worthy of pure wanderlust, Night and Day by Enni Amanda will have readers pining for love and adventure as Mia and Izzy find themselves and each other just by taking that first step outside of their comfort zone.

Before making a life altering decision, Mia left her homeland and traveled around the world, seeking answers and inspiration. But on her last stop in Auckland, Mia was robbed, losing everything except the guitar on her back and the stick of gum in her pocket. With only one former business contact in all of New Zealand that she could turn to, Mia calls Izzy. Izzy, who hasn't left his basement much since tragedy struck five years ago. Izzy, who still drops everything to drive ninety minutes from Hamilton to Auckland to pick up a Finnish stranger. The longer they spend together, the more they learn to let go of their pasts. And the longer they spend together, the deeper their feelings grow for each other. As Izzy and Mia discover what truly makes them happy in life, they learn that the thing that makes them most happy is each other....

Night and Day was such a sweet, swoony, slow-burn romance. As someone who has traveled around the world, I immediately related to Mia and her wanderlust. And as someone who was constantly paranoid she would lose her baggage, I completely felt Mia's loss and anguish over being robbed while at her most vulnerable.

While I haven't experienced quite the same level of loss that Izzy has, I thought his past was relatable and completely understandable. Amanda did an excellent job at having Izzy's past shape his character without being too over the top or in your face and making the overall plot too gloomy or depressing.

I loved these two main characters together. I thought it was pretty obvious early on that these two connected with each other, even while Mia felt helpless and Izzy was busy being a tall, dark, and quiet grump. They worked so well on the page together, and I could not wait for them to finally admit their feelings and get together.

There was so much character growth throughout this novel. Right from the beginning, Mia found herself with nothing left to lose except herself. And she ended up trusting Izzy enough to risk losing that as well, making for such a beautiful romance. Izzy had been so antisocial for so long that he really had to put it all on the line in order to be with Mia. He was such a silently courageous character, and I loved him for it.

In Night and Day, readers will find a sweet, slow-burn romance (with eventual spice), some amazing secondary characters, and an inspired sense of wanderlust that will keep you turning the pages for more adventure.

Night and Day by Enni Amanda is a hilarious, slow-burn, opposites attract, fake dating rom-com. Told from 3rd person (which isn’t my favorite) this cute, steamy story was relatively easy to follow and I loved getting an insight into the thoughts of both characters.

I absolutely adored both Izzy and Mia’s characters. From Izzy’s introverted, socially anxious nature to Mia’s desire to see the world; both had characteristics I relate to and see in myself. The way their relationship developed was so realistically awkward, yet super cute. These two had an undeniable connection and from the first page it was easy to see how these two characters were perfect for each other.

I loved the references Enni Amanda included to romance novels. And the plot was so refreshingly unique. Mia gets robbed in New Zealand and the only person she knows is Izzy, the bearded introvert, someone she briefly worked with months ago.

All in all, I absolutely loved this book and I love when there are book playlists; to top it off the book playlist was *chef’s kiss*.

Mia, traveling and avoiding her lackluster boyfriend, gets stuck in New Zealand and turns to the only person she (kinda) knows in the country. Izzy, who’s been working from home and rarely leaves, takes Mia in and the two bond over music and an undeniable mutual attraction. ⁣Fake dating and undeniable chemistry ensue!!

This was 𝙨𝙪𝙘𝙝 an adorable read!! Also, immediately had me wanting to book a flight for New Zealand. One of my favorite things was how both Mia and Izzy were in need of healing or finding something. The way they vibe over music and creative pursuits had me falling for these two so quickly. The characters felt so genuine, I could not help but like Mia, Izzy, and the entire cast of side characters so so so much. ⁣

⭐️ Favorite Quote ⭐️ ⁣

“‘I haven’t laughed like that in ages,’ she admitted. ‘Like I’d forgotten how to be silly. But here, it feels easier. Must be some kind of 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝙕𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙘.’”⁣

all in all- please pick up this rom com! this was such a sweet read. i loved the characters and the growth we see from both of them. i promise this book will leave you smiling AND purchasing a ticket on the next flight to New Zealand 😂❤️✈️

4.5 stars. Love story with a unique premise: Mia from Finland and Izzy from New Zealand worked together briefly, online only, from their respective countries. When Mia has a big decision to make, career-wise, she decides to travel around the world, seeing if there is something more than the constant striving for career advancement. While praying for enlightenment, outside a church with her eyes closed, she is robbed of all her belongings except a beat-up old guitar, leaving her stranded and penniless in a foreign country. Calling the one person she knows in the entire country, Izzy, she throws herself on his mercy, accepting his help, his funds, and maybe his love? Izzy has his own issues, working for a suicide prevention group and not really leaving his house so much… Both of these sympathetic characters are musicians, singing and writing beautiful music together.
This book is the third in a series, but it definitely stands alone.
There is also a Spotify channel that is a soundtrack for this book, with one song written by the author’s sister.
I received this book at no charge from Enni Amanda, but all opinions are my own.

An absolute delight to read!

This is the first book I have read by this author after seeing her books all over IG! I'm so glad that I started with this book.

I love when a book starts with a problem first - in this case Mia (our Finnish Goddess) is robbed and left to fend for herself in New Zealand. No phone, no money, no clothes. Predicament? YES.
I enjoyed that Mia used her connection with Izzy and this is really where things get interesting.
There's a wonderful tension between these two that had me gripping my device waiting to scream "PLEASE, JUST GET IT ON!" I loved both of these people and how deep each one connected with the other. That all encompassing love that so many of us look for; this is what Izzy and Mia have.

Too bad there are some blocks in the way that keep them apart. *insert dramatic music*

While both readers have loss to deal with, they really work to heal these pieces together.
You were never broken. You got a little bit lost, and now you found your way back.

There were some incredible quotes in this book and memorable scenes where Izzy blew my mind with creative & romantic things he did for Mia.

Can I please have Izzy as my boyfriend?

I'd absolutely read a little drabble on these two, updating us on their happenings.

Thank you to the author, Enni Amanda, for the ARC copy.

I found myself in the tears that Mia couldn’t cry. It was a joy to read how these two fragile and vulnerable people found each other and themselves. I have known men just like Izzy - big brawny New Zealanders, creative, insecure, gentle, introverted. I loved that he did not go all alpha-male, but behaved like a person I could relate to. Mia, though called an ice queen, is a sweetly sensitive soul who just needed to be with someone who accepted her instead of heaping clenched bum expectations on her. (the pursed lips disapproval is called cats' bum in Oz). There were a few little typos. Not many. received as a complimentary copy from the author in return for an honest review.

This is the first book that I have read by Enni Amanda and let me say that I am glad I discovered her work! This book is written in 3rd person which is not always my favorite but it worked so well for this book!

We meet Mia (h) at the beginning of the story where she is at a real crosswords in her life. She reaches out to Izzy (H), whom she only knows through limited virtual work contact, for help with her current situation. Izzy comes to Mia's rescue and we are immediately swept into their love story.

Izzy is a character whom we do not often see in books. He suffers from anxiety and prefers to be in his own little world creating amazing things. It was so refreshing to see this type of character.

Mia is at a true crossword with her life and head to New Zealand in hopes to find her true self. Izzy is critical in helping Mia found who she truly is, what she truly wants, and what she truly deserves out of life.

If you are looking for a well written rom com with excellent secondary characters, a hilarious parrot, and an evident testament of love, I STRONGLY recommend this book!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This book was a pure treasure to read. It’s about two people, Mia who lives in Finland and Izzy who lives in New Zealand, who had worked together on line, but had never met in person. Mia decided to take a multi-stop vacation before making her decision regarding her future. After being robbed of all her belongings (except her guitar), she finds herself at the police station and has to reach out to Izzy to borrow enough money to replace her passport and be able to return home to Finland. That’s her intention, but Izzy offers so much more. This book has everything! Beautiful music, wonderful characters, laughter and tears (be aware this is an adult story with some physicality if you will). I truly enjoyed this book from beginning to end, and absolutely love this author’s writing style. I highly recommend this book.

I received an advance copy of this book from the author for writing an honest review.

Destination: love

Absolutely loved the almost instant attraction between Izzy and Mia, which developed at the perfect pace towards their first kiss. Izzy so wanted to do right by Mia, and was the most gorgeous kind of flawed. Night and Day is easily my favourite Enni Amanda novel.

Can't wait to read more about Deke and Casanova, Enni!

I received this book as an ARC from the author & enjoyed every minute of this book. If you are looking for a sweet rom-com style book with a light sprinkling of spice, lovable characters, travel/adventure & a story with its own playlist, you need to read this. I loved the characters, and their journey to self discovery & love so much. This book has a lot of the romance tropes we all know and love, like fake dating, found family, etc. This is a must for romance book readers!

This was such a cute romace story. Kinda slowburn and I was worried it was gonna be cheating, but thank lord it wasn’t. Mia was doing a lot of soul searching in this book and was trying to find what she is meant to do in life. Izzy and Mia are total opposites, but in my opinion they compliment each other perfectly. All the things Izzy did for Mia in this book is out of this world and I hope to find my own Izzy one day🥰
The description of the environment was really well done. And I loved to read a book that was partly set in Finland!
If you like the fake dating trope this is a book for you!
Overall a really lovely book🤍

Well, I think by now you all know just how much I love Enni Amanda.
I am at the start of my fictional love affair with every single book Enni writes.
Enni captures you from the first page until the very last word. The queen of chick-lit 👑📖

Again, we meet two beautifully imperfect people that radiate warmth, likability and a genuine realness, making it easy for the reader to become attached to them, rooting for the elusive happily ever after.

Izzy is my dream man. Big, rugged and a little rough around the edges, but all that hides a sensitive, broken soul.
Mia is a pocket rocket in comparison to Izzy. She is petite and feisty with a tough exterior, but like Izzy, that’s not the real her. Mia is lost, metaphorically and literally, until Izzy comes to her rescue.
Their bond is almost instantly undeniable. They understand each other in ways no one else does like they have both found their missing puzzle piece.

Not only is there more amazing flanter (flirty banter), passion and some of the most fairytale-like scenes (glow worms for one), but the addition of the gorgeous Deke and Casanova, his parrot. I know most will love Casanova, but I love Deke the most. There is just something so wholesome and innocent about him with a delicious amount of cheekiness.

Again, Izzy and Mia’s story weaves beautifully with books 1 & 2. Reuniting us with the cast of characters we have previously fallen in love with, but fear not, you can easily read Night & Day as a standalone.

As you can tell, music features heavily in this book and so it comes as no surprise to find there is a Spotify Playlist ..

Search Night & Day - Enni Amanda

And check out the first song - Under My Spell (Seherazade) is actually written by Enni’s equally talented sister, Aini @aini.music
So don’t forget to check out her beautiful song 🎵 ♥️

Finally, thank you to the fantastic Enni Amanda for the arc ebook. I LOVE the Love New Zealand series, and you now have a fan for life.

Yes, I’m quite aware that I’ve just jumped straight in at Book 3 in a series by a new-to-me-author. If you happen to be named Lucy, I can feel you twitching from here *smirks*.

I just couldn’t help myself *shrugs*. The cover may have caught my attention first, but the blurb called to the little hopeless-romantic loving person living inside of me. That last statement has to remain strictly between us though, got it? I’m a crotchety cynical auld wummin in RL… *snorts* Gotta keep up appearances *winks*.

However… this story hit me right in the feels! Add in the music playlist that accompanies the story and my emotions went into overdrive.

Is it possible to fall in love in 5 days? Well, it only took me a couple of hours to fall in love with Izzy and Mia. While both are closed off emotionally to different degrees, it was Izzy that captured my heart (and *coughs* other unmentionable places!) straight away. Izzy may have helped Mia to begin with, but it’s Mia that brings light back into Izzy’s life. Together they just spark!

Prepare for the slow burn, peeps! I think I’m turning into some sort of masochist (steady!) but the build-up, aka torture, was SO worth it. *whispers* Even if I did think I was intruding on something I shouldn’t have been due to the emotional intensity. (I swear this isn’t a challenge on how many times I can use the word emotional!) How is it possible for one man to say so much without saying a word?! Those eyes… *sighs*

Night and Day is a story about finding yourself. Even if that means travelling 10,000 miles around the world or being brave and finally letting someone see the parts of you you’ve kept hidden for so long.

Love and music are universal.

I just finished reading Night and Day by Enni Amanda and my heart is still a flutter. What a perfect little romance filled with music, hope and healing.

This is the first book I've read by Enni Amanda. Not only did she have me falling in love with Izzy but with New Zealand too. I have read a ton of romance this year and I would easily put this on my top 10 list.

When always in control Mia gets robbed within minutes of her arrival to New Zealand she is left with no phone, no passport and no money in a foreign land. To say the least she is totally f'd until she remembers that she actually knows(well kinda sorta knows) a local. Isaiah McCarthy or Izzy is a bit of a recluse who spends most of his time working locked up in the basement flat of his house. When a past client from months ago calls on him for help he drops everything to come to the rescue. What happens when these two opposites are forced from the security of their practiced live? One thoroughly enjoyable read!

This was third book in a series but easily reads as a standalone.

I am so grateful to Enni Amanda and BookSirens for giving me an ARC of this book. I am giving this review voluntarily.

Night and Day by Enni Amanda (releases April 1st)
—💜What you’ll get: opposites attract, fake dating, damsel in distress, insta-love (swipe for summary)
—🌶Spice level: a lot of longing, heats up about 70% of the way through, spicy scenes are shorter but open door

“She was so fair that her hair and skin glowed against the navy blue sheets like the moon in the sky. A creature of the north. He’d captured a woman who didn’t belong in this land, and he wanted to lock the doors and trap her forever. But he couldn’t keep her any more than he could bottle sunshine.”

This was a really cute love story ☺️ I enjoyed reading Mia and Izzy’s whirlwind romance from strangers, to friends, to lovers. I loved seeing Mia open up Izzy to the world again and, in turn, Izzy open Mia up to her true self. The characters are silly, fun, and feel like real people. The pining and angst certainly builds throughout this story up to a boiling point where you are so thrilled it finally boils over! It takes a while, but some people enjoy that 😉 And you know I love a big, gruff MMC!

Side note: I loved Deke, the roommate, and his parrot Casanova. They were adorable and charming side characters.

TWs: past suicide, anxiety, explicit scenes, and the sister of the FMC is pregnant and has a baby. It’s not a lot of the book and you can skip over it without losing the meaning of the story.

Night and Day is one of those books you need to pick up and read when you are feeling a bit lost and in need of a hug.
Mia arrives in New Zealand , and shortly after is robbed of her handbag and suitcase. She is in despair but manages to contact a work colleague Izzy through an internet cafe .
Izzy takes Mia to his home and promises to help her to get her passport and sort out clothes etc.
Enni Amanda's latest book takes the reader into the lives of these two vulnerable young people and it becomes apparent both have issues in their lives which cause them stress. They are both talented and find they are drawing strength from each other to reach out and broaden their horizons . Mia finds the New Zealand bush and landscape inspires her to write another song which Izzy can provide the music , at the same time she encourages him to write a book .
Night and Day is an easy read and will be enjoyed by anyone who likes a romance novel
Thanks to the author for an e-copy to read and review.

I was excited to read an advance copy of Night & Day after really enjoying the first two books in this series. It can definitely be read as a stand alone, but I did love Mac, Shasa, & Lilla popping up (there’s even a Marnie, Jason, & baby mention!)
I read the book straight through on a plane ride, & really enjoyed it. It’s a well written story with such likable characters. I know I was smiling over my Kindle, & needed a Kleenex a time or two. My husband looked over @ one point & said, “must be a good one.” That says it all.
I think we’ve all been Mia @ least once in our lives. Meeting a big crossroad. Having a big decision to make, & wanting to escape it all & find a true calling. Izzy is such a complicated character, & it’s so interesting having his character, & what shaped him, revealed a bit @ a time. Their unexpected draw to each other is heartwarming, even as you know it’s headed for a bumpy path.
I really don’t want to be done with this world! Maybe a book about Deke & his cheeky bird?
I received an advance copy via BookSirens & am gladly leaving this voluntary review.

Hello Fellow Readers

I'd like to start this post by saying Thank you to @enniAuthor for an ARC of this wonderful story.

Please note, this book contains the following Trigger Warnings
Suicide
Anxiety and
Mental Health

The story follows Mia, who is from Finland, she is on her travels around the world whilst trying to figure her life out. She is in the middle of deciding whether or not to take a position in a job or making something else out of her life when she meets the Gorgeous Izzy (isaiah) who she has worked with virtually before in her line of work.

They go on a journey of self discovery and connect well throughout the story.

I really liked this book, everything about it was just incredible. The writing technique, the contrast between Finland and New Zealand. The characters were wonderful and their journey together was just so lovely to read.

Going back to when I mentioned the writing technique. It was all well written and the sensitive topics were touched and spoke about lightly. They were wrote about in a sensitive manner.

Thank you so much for reading my review. I appreciate your support.

The story
Mia lands in New Zealand and is standing in front of a church. She closes her eyes and says a small prayer about the choices she needs to make. When she opens her eyes, her handbag and suitcase are missing and the thief is getting into a car rushing away. At the police station reporting the crime, the thought of a women’s shelter or night in a cell seems less appealing than contacting the only person she knows in New Zealand, Isiah, a reclusive video editor that she has dealt with on email from her home and job in Finland.

My thoughts
I so enjoyed the first two books in this series but I think this third one is simply gorgeous. I love the contrast between Mia’s petite blonde Finnish-ness to Izzy’s large, dark, New Zealand-ness. She has been travelling the world, he is hanging out in his basement, never even leaving to go to the supermarket. She believes her work colleagues nicknaming her an Ice Princess, he is full of emotion. Slowly the walls and awkwardness between them are broken down and they find common ground in creativity, caring about each other and finding the magic around them in the few days that Mia is in country. Enni’s writing is filled with beautiful words and special music. I loved the special Spotify playlist that accompanies the story ❤️

What a delightful story—kudos to the author! Tall, dark and big Izzy has a great heart that he's kept hidden in his basement for years. There, he immersed himself in his work while nursing his aching heart. It takes a damsel in distress—Mia is his total opposite—to draw him out of his "cave". Izzy is so generous with his time, money and hospitality that Mia cannot help but be drawn to him. Add in his eccentric roommate Deke and the irresistible African-Grey parrot aptly named Casanova, and you have a wonderful page-turner of a story. I loved how the author describes the Finnish people with such self-deprecating humour. The but-clenching image is stuck in my head—the horrors!
What I loved about this story is the cast of vulnerable characters, the descriptions of both countries that make you feel as if you are there; and the same goes for the music.
This is the third book by this author that I've read and I look forward to more from her.
