आदिवासी जन-जीवन पर मँडराते सभ्यता-प्रेषित ख़तरों को पहचानना, सीधे-सरल ढंग से उन्हें शब्दों में अंकित करना और नागर केन्द्रों से जंगलों-पहाड़ों की तरफ़ बढ़ते विकास की आक्रामक मुद्राओं का सशक्त प्रतिवाद गढ़ना जसिंता केरकेट्टा की कविताओं की विशेषताएँ रही हैं। उनकी कविताएँ अपनी सहज और संवादपरक मुद्रा में आदिवासी समाज की पीड़ाओं को समग्रता के साथ हम तक पहुँचाती रही हैं।

2016 में पहला काव्य-संग्रह “अंगोर” का हिन्दी-जर्मन संस्करण “Glut”, जर्मनी से प्रकाशित। 2018 में पहला काव्य-संग्रह “अंगोर” का हिन्दी-इतालवी “Brace” इटली से प्रकाशित। 2020 में पहला काव्य-संग्रह ‘अंगोर’ हिंदी-फ्रैंच में ‘ANGOR’ नाम से फ्रांस से प्रकाशित। 2018 में दूसरा काव्य-संग्रह ‘जड़ों की ज़मीन’ हिंदी-अंग्रेजी में भारतीय ज्ञानपीठ से प्रकाशित। हिंदी-जर्मन में ‘Tiefe Wurzeln’ नाम से द्रौपदी वेरलाग, जर्मनी से प्रकाशित । 2014 में आदिवासियों के स्थानीय संघर्ष पर उनकी एक रिपोर्ट पर उन्हें एशिया इंडिजिनस पीपुल्स पैक्ट, थाईलैंड द्वारा इंडिजिनस वॉयस ऑफ एशिया का रिक्गनिशन अवॉर्ड। 2014 में विश्व आदिवासी दिवस पर झारखंड इंडिजिनस पीपुल्स फोरम द्वारा सम्मानित। 2014 में ही उन्हें बतौर स्वतन्त्र पत्रकार प्रतिष्ठित यूएनडीपी फेलोशिप। 2014 में छोटानागपुर सांस्कृतिक संघ द्वारा “प्रेरणा सम्मान”। 2015 में रविशंकर उपाध्याय स्मृतियुवा कविता-पुरस्कार। 2017 में प्रभात ख़बर अख़बार द्वारा अपराजिता सम्मान। 2016 में जर्मनी की यात्रा। जर्मनी के कई युनिवर्सिटी और शहरों में एकल कविता पाठ और आदिवासी मुद्दों पर चर्चा। 2017 में आदिवासी विस्डम विषयक सेमिनार, हैमबर्ग युनिवर्सिटी, जर्मनी में कविता पाठ। 2018 में जर्मनी, स्विट्जरलैंड, आस्ट्रिया और इटली के कई युनिवर्सिटी में कविता पाठ और भारत में आदिवासियों की स्थति पर अपनी बात रखी। 2020 में अमेरिका में हार्वर्ड यूनिवर्सिटी द्वारा आयोजित 'हार्वर्ड इंडिया कन्फ्रेंस' में स्वतंत्र पत्रकारिता और पर्यावरण पर अपनी बात रखी। मिनिसोटा में विद्यार्थियों से संवाद और कविता पाठ। 2020 में फ्रांस का दौरा। पेरिस में कविता पाठ और संवाद।

These are poems of hills and rivers and jungles. And of course these are about people within those spaces, people who belong to those hills and rivers and jungles, and these belongings are mutual.
Then there are governments and civilised persons and authorities and... well, the people are uprooted and brutalised and... all in the name of development and governance. It's easy to brand them maoists and shoot them, burn their villages and... Still, they survive and they survive with their roots.
These poems talk of their survival and their roots, their customs and their hills and rivers and jungles, in a language which is simple, direct, brutal, ungarnished.
You can find them and feel them.

Essential reading in the present times. Jecinta is one of the best contemporary Hindi poets in the country. In this collection of poems, she fearlessly addresses establishment, nature, exploitation, patriarchy and many such powerful themes which we need to talk about more of in these times.
