I was so excited to see that we are finally getting Ronan's story. He really called to me when I read about him in the prior series. He wasn't in it that much but I knew I wanted his story. Then...nothing. When the newsletter came out that she was ready for Ronan to come out I was so thrilled. I couldn't wait to see who she put him with.

At first, I wasn't sure if Chloe was the right one but that only lasted a few pages. I love Chloe. She's funny, sweet, and her own person. You can't help but want the best for her. I love her little side job. She's my kind of woman.

You'll totally love Ronan. He's done all he could to change his life around but to be honest he wasn't that bad of a kid. Even when he does the right thing he gets blamed for doing the wrong. I kinda don't blame him for moving away from the old neighborhood. Of course, I don't think he needed to move so far away and it's good that he's back.

These two don't have it easy when they come together. Chloe knew more about what she wanted from Ronan but she had to deal with a mother who hated him. Ronan spent a ton of the book trying to ignore his feelings for both his family and Chloe. Of course, this is a romance so he can't do either.

You'll really enjoy both Ronan and Chloe. Their relationship starts off rocky and with a ton of baggage but it smooths out by the end and we get their happy ending. There is also a mystery within the book about the Doyle father that isn't yet answered but we get a start on it. I'm sure we will learn more with the next book.

It's wonderful to be introduced to a new family and I can't wait to read all their stories. Do yourself a favor and read first the O'Leary's and then For Your Love series. I think you'll enjoy both series very much.

Schroeder has built this wonderful tight knit Irish Catholic neighborhood in Chicago. This is the third family, with a gaggle of kids, and the characters come to play a cameo role sometimes. If you’ve read the series you might remember the Doyle family, dad went missing years ago and the kids seemed to be the rough ones of the neighborhood. We get Ronan Doyle and Chloe McCarthy, another neighborhood kid. They grew up together, survived crushes on and off, but never really pursued anything until Ronan came back for the 20th anniversary of his dad’s disappearance. This book was not just about the two of them becoming more than a hook up but a mystery. Ronan and his brother are determined to solve the mystery of Michael Doyle’s disappearance and Chloe is helping. I was kept on my toes with the very sexy interludes and the twists and turns of the investigation. The Doyle’s are a large family and if each one gets a book this is going to be another wonderful series. I received my copy through Netgalley and have provided my review voluntarily.

"Chloe lay in bed, her head on Ronan's chest, stroking his pecs. She really didn't think she'd be able to stand." (queue the steamy face emoji)

This was a good read and a solid start to a series. Being part Irish myself, I appreciated the worldbuilding, which had a tight-knit Catholic Irish community with just about everything one would expect from that setting. The characters are believable, the romance arcs are well written, and it has plenty of steam along with plenty of excitement as the plot unfolds. I personally didn't expect the mystery element, but it was a pleasant surprise and made for a fun plot.

If you're looking to delve into a world of great characters, mystery, and plenty of romance, I highly recommend getting into this series.

When Ronan’s family vanished with no explanation it left a hole in his life and the lives of his family. Years later the questions still remain, he needs answers, and he believes that Chloe may the one person who can help him get them.

Although Chloe had feelings for him as a teenager, she thought that he would feel the same way. She has always done what was expected of her however when Ronan asks a favor of her, the favor she asks of him will change everything.

Ronan is determined to protect Chloe from everyone and everything and that includes himself, but Chloe knows what she wants and is determined to get the truth and her man.

This is the first in a new series, and this is Ronan and Chloe’s story.
Chloe has a huge crush on Ronan in high school, and he has returned home to seek answers about his missing father, while Chloe’s job gives him access to the information he needs.
This is a good story which is easy to read, with family, friendships, emotions, fake dating, mystery, challenges, friends-with-benefits, a tad angst, humor, witty banter, romance, and love, which leads to an enjoyable page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this author whose work I recommend.

Great start to a new series. The Doyle family story and the siblings relationships are a pleasure to read and I loved Ronan and Chloe. It’s a little bit of cliffhanger but still a HEA. Truthfully I can’t quite put my finger on what exactly made it so enjoyable but it was. I would definitely recommend adding it to your TBR list. Looking forward to all the siblings’ books!

This was read thanks to NetGalley.

This is a book that IMO it's perfect for those who want to start to read romance, it's a story with romance in it but isn't really the main plot, the author sets the main couple on the same neighborhood, trying to resolve a mystery and as the story develops so does their love, it's highly enjoyable. That's why i say that is good for those who want to get into romance and are afraid of getting to much love.

Apparently this book is the start of new series with character from a previous series, I say apparently because it didn't feel like that for me, which is good, usually with following up series, one often feels lost, that didn't happened to me.

The Doyle patriarch disappeared 20 years ago. The 7 children decided it was time to find out what happened. I could not get into the book from the start. I made it about 3 chapters in and gave up. I skipped to the last 3 chapters and found I had not missed anything. The person they thought could help them had died. By the time I got to the epilogue I realized they were not going to find out in this book. Since there are 7 kids, I assume the mystery will be a 7 book series. I actually do not care as the book was boring. This was my first book by Shannyn Schroeder and will be my last.

This is the first book in the Doyle family series. I was intrigued by this Irish family and mystery surrounding Ronan's dad. Ronan is back in town and he wants the answers of what happened to his dad. He also has the temptation of Chloe. She is nothing like the girl he remembers from the neighborhood. Chloe is grown up and finally living life her way. That includes flirting with yummy brooding Ronan. After reading this I'm even more intrigued going in. I can't wait to read the next book because now I'm invested like Doyle family.
