I was eighteen when he stole me from my perfect little world; where I had friends and family and a future of a good happy life ahead. I had everything any eighteen-year-old girl would ever hope for but he took it all from me at once.

Now stuck in the confines of his fortress of a home all I can do is wait for my father to come to rescue me. But I know there’s nothing he can do to save me from this monster. No matter how many of his powerful contacts he would put to use.

My captor is a powerful man and a monster who would stop at nothing until he gets what he want. He is ruthless and has violated me in every possible way. I should hate him, I really should and maybe I do, but the feeling is not strong enough to resist the obvious chemistry we share.

How can I be drawn to this monster when all he has done to me is hurt me? How can I like his touch when none of it had been consensual? I’m I falling in love with my captor or is my captivity driving me crazy?

A true dark romance.

“ Love sees no reason or rhyme. When you love and hate a person at the same time, you need to decide which matters far more.”

While I have read so many mafia romances but this story is far different. The story is intense & it starts gripping you after few chapters. Once you are into it, the suspense & the thick tension wraps up your mind completely. While it looks like a revenge story but truth is yet to be unraveled. I never expected this story to be a cliffhanger but alas it is…

Samrat- The male protagonist. I could neither hate him nor love. There is some mystery around him which is still hidden and that will make you wait for the sequel of this book. Mahika- the female protagonist looks feeble & broken in this book but I am sure she would give a tough stand to Samrat in the next book. There is a lot more to the story which is beyond this part 1 and I can’t wait to read it completely.

The narration is of international standards & when ever I read Sparsha’s books it feels like I am reading an author who excels is dark captive romance. I loved the narration & intensity with which the story moves. Waiting for the sequel desperately.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ to Sparsha as always.

As a devoted reader of dark crime thrillers, I seldom venture into the realm of romance novels. However, when I stumbled upon Sparsha Kadri's Wrongfully His, a dark Mafia romance, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and give it a try. In doing so, I sought to experience something different yet reminiscent of my preferred genre.

Wrongfully His follows the familiar trope of a Mafia mob boss kidnapping an innocent damsel, a theme commonly found in Mafia romance novels. The central character, Mahika, is an 18-year-old daughter of Mumbai's top cop. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she becomes the captive of Samrat Oberoi, a member of a wealthy Mafia cartel in Mumbai. The portrayal of the Mafia cartels within the story draws parallels with American, Italian and Russian cartels operating in New York.

Kadri's novel delves deep into the world of dark romance with mature themes, and it is evident that the author has a firm grasp of this genre. The book expertly captures the gritty atmosphere and chilling intimate tension between the two protagonists. The author's writing style is engaging and evocative, keeping readers on the edge of their seats throughout the story.

It is worth noting, however, that Wrongfully His may not be suitable for those seeking light-hearted, passionate romance. The non-traditional theme and the dark undertones of the plot may make some readers uncomfortable. Many wouldn't like the concept of the heroine falling for her captor or the non consensual romance. Nevertheless, for those who enjoy delving into the depths of twisted relationships and complex power dynamics, this book offers a gripping and unconventional love story.

Not only did Mahika feel that it was like a plot of a movie where a girl gets kidnapped by a dark hero and is forced to get married but I too felt like watching a movie because author Sparsh Kadri’s narration is just like visual imagery.

How can someone's life take such a dark turn just like that? Even I kept thinking about it till I complete almost 50% of the chapter because the mystery was kept on for the most part of the book.

Was it a tradition in the family of this kidnapper or was it a biggest mistake ever made by him. But for sure he was the devil who had cruelly stolen her from her paradise and then dragged her to his world but still she longed for his touch and got aroused by his tenderness. He was the master of her universe despite the humiliation he had put her through.

OMG I enjoyed every bit of it, the arousal, the temptation, the mystery, the surprise, I was mesmerised by the story and I am desperate to know more. I believe she is the hip-hop generation's beloved author and most compelling storyteller who delivers a powerful story about love and loyalty, strength and family.

The writing of this story is great ,detailed and articulate, I can’t wait to get to the next book, don’t take my word just like that read for ur self.

Wrongfully His - The Mafia Brides Syndicate book 1 @Sparsha Kadri

The dark romance always has arrogance, anger, lust, force, power and submission. But this story has much more to it. Yes that's what wrongfully his has done to my prospective. A very well scripted, love hate romance with a motive behind and a powerful Mafia syndicate to deal with.

Mahika 18 year old, daughter of DIG Mumbai is abducted from her safe abode by the king of syndicate Mafia. Everything happened so sudden that she couldn't understand the turn her life took. Now she is caged into a beautiful castle where she has everything but not her heart n will.

Who is this man who has kidnapped her??? What's the motive behind this abduction??? Will she ever be able to come out of it??? Will she ever gather the courage to go against her abductor???

The way the plot is build-up gives you hell lot of reasons to read the book in one set, also the flow of the sequences are planned really well, you will be curious though out for many reasons and to get answers to many questions, so pickup this read only when you could finish it in one go n not torture yourself to read in bits and pieces.

The only daughter of the DIG of the Mumbai Police Abhimanyu Valia was kidnapped from their residence and was still missing.

When Mahika opened her eyes she thought it was a dream, it wasn’t a usual kidnapping like shown in movies. She was being kept in a secured fortress with all the luxuries and fancy clothes. Her captor had kidnapped her, brought her here against her will and god knows what else he wanted from her but she felt an urge whenever he touched her or came near her. This feeling that was blooming inside her was wrong and unusual. This ridiculously sexy man definitely did not need money as he seemed rich and powerful.

Then what did he want?

The beginning was quite similar to Fifty shades of grey but then the story had a twist. Of course, some of our fantasies we can explore with ease, however, for those that may be more complicated to manifest into reality, you can explore with this book.

I have read Sparsh Kadri’s books before and I must say she is an amazing writer. What “turns on” is her story. I just loved this read and would like to recommend it further.

There is just something thrilling reading about mafia romance books that may include any romance stories featuring Made Men, mafia families, or anyone tied to the mafia world.

Wrongfully His ( Book #1 ): The Mafia Brides Syndicate Series by author Sparsha Kadri is one such type of the books that revolves around a hero or family involved with organized crime.

While all mafia romance books deal with some aspect of organized crime, this book had several other common themes that readers will find within a mafia romance novel.

Being kidnapped from her home, Mahika, our main female protagonist is taken by a monster who is not only her enemy but also ruthless and rules without any mercy.

A mafia romance book without an alpha male at its helm is not supposedly a romance at all, and in this regard, the book aces as it has the perfect domineering alpha who would stop nothing at what he wants.

Now is the love that Mahika feels for her captor true and genuine or is it Stockholm Syndrome remains the question to be seen in the book and is the plot.
