The is a short story that takes place after The Barbarian Before Christmas. Claire, Georgie, and Asha want Elly to feel welcome in the tribe, so they make her some gifts :)

Review Summary

Really short but super sweet story, about the women of Croatoan village making a gift for Elly, to help her feel welcome. It’s not a big story, but I did get a little teary at how happy Elly was to receive a gift, and how amazing such a simple act is for her. I would say, in future I’d love to see other characters feature instead of Claire on the short stories, since I think we’ve seen her POV a few times already, but I’ve got no complaints regarding this story.

Aff pensei que a história era sobre Claire, foi decepcionante ver que era sobre Elly. Me chame de vadia amargurada, eu não suporto a personalidade de Elly. Sei que ela sofreu muito e blablabla, mas pessoas como ela me cansam. Gosto de pessoas gentis, mas corajosas também como Georgie. Elly... apenas não.

Por que tanta gente gosta tanto desse casal? Era a oportunidade perfeita de explorar mais o relacionamento de Claire e Everen. Everen é tão gentil e doce e coitado nunca aparece.

Dios, me siento cruel pero pienso exactamente como Asha JAJAJAKA si Elly se ve horrible, se ve horrible.

Entiendo por qué, y realmente simpatizo mucho con su personaje, pero hombre, ahora ya puede ser bonita sin temor, así que veo bien que se lo hagan ver con esos regalos. Quizás Elly nunca consiga ser igual que las demás, o simplemente nunca nació para ser sociable pese a sus traumas, pero al menos así puede ser más bonita para su compañero también (?)

This was a beautiful story of sisterhood. The females have decided Elly could use a make over, then decide that’s too aggressive, and just decide to make her a few things to help her present her best self. After an all nighter they’ve made the perfects gifts and it’s just really sweet while still being a little judgey.

A beautiful short story! It's about Claire, Georgie, Asha, and Kemli, making welcoming gifts for sweet, shy Elly.

Claire had a thoughtful idea to give gifts to Elly, especially at that time, when her clothes and hair... weren't nice. The start of a beautiful friendship and how Elly will start to open up, not only with Bek.
