I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE!!!! AND IT’S WORTH TO WAIT 😍😍😍 IT’S MORE AMAZING THAN I THOUGHT 🥺🥺 THE HEROINE FALL FIRST THEN THE HERO FALL HARDER, AND WHEN I MEAN HARDER, IT’S OVER THE TOP FOR HIM❤️❤️❤️

I was screaming excitement when I read the book cause I WAITED FOR TWO YEARS!!! THE AUTHOR AKA ONE OF MY FAVE REALLY DID A GREAT JOB WITH THIS STORY😭 AND I’M DON’T EVEN GET ARC FOR THIS…. BUT I STILL LOVE IT 😆😆😍

If you never read from this author, it comes with a lot of triggers and tragic story from the characters even the main ones. But this one, the tragic story comes from the hero only and not too bad like his friends tho… Just in case you are wondering about it. If you want to skip the brutal past of the hero’s pov then you can do that too cause i do that to avoid being in tears 😅 But thankfully this LOVE STORY OF THIS COUPLE is safe and not fvcked up tho. So the past from the hero can be brutal, they’re enemies can be brutal, the family can be crazy, BUT THE COUPLE HERE STAYS ROMANTIC AND SAFE ❤️❤️
And this book is not a light one… It’s a bit dark love story… BUT NOT TOO DARK THO.
SO the couple have been great friends since they were kids. Like childhood friends and their family are close friends too since they were very young… Even their grandparents are close friends too… SO THE FRIENDSHIP IS LEGIT NO JOKE WITH THE WHOLE FAMILY. KEEP THAT IN MIND😂 So the hero didn’t really pay attention to the heroine like that because he thought they can’t just be… And the heroine deserve someone better than him because the whole family can’t agree on them… BUT THE HEROINE because she grow up with him and always talks to him and always counting on him in many ways, SHE FALL FIRST… And he always there for her when she needed him so she fall first. But the hero didn’t fall first for her because of the family friendship situation… And also the heroine’s big brother is the hero’s first best friend ever. So that also made him don’t want to fall for her and don’t want to like her… BUT THE HEROINE really fall for him and like him since she was a teenager… Of course as a teenager and they’re age difference is like more than 10 years, the heroine have to see the hero grow up too and knows about him being a manwhor3. BUT THANK GOODNESS the hero never actually really show all of them in front of the heroine! She only hear stories and photographs but no s3xtape just in case you’re asking. And everyone in the family knows it too… BUT rest assured the hero immediately stopped that when the heroine kissed him one time. One time! And he immediately stopped all of that FOR YEARS… He didn’t actually say how many years to be exact but he said many times “IT’S BEEN YEARS” HIS BEEN CELIBATE AND WAITING FOR THE HEROINE… SO THAT’S THE BEST! 😆 SO THIS IS THE HISTORY OF THEM IN THE BEGINNING OF THE FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN THEM AND FAMILY…

So after the heroine kissed the hero one time only (no s3x) just kissing him for the first time. He told her to go away and she immediately goes away physically like literally to another country for 3 years i think, but it’s definitely more than a year. Both was single, they never went on a date with anyone EVER. Both was actually focusing on carrier especially for the heroine… The hero was also busy on that but more busy thinking about the heroine non stop… Even tho is just one kiss, the hero never forget it and can’t stop thinking about her. It actually haunts him every single day he said… Then one day the heroine have to come back to the hometown where her family lives because she finished her degree and her father needed her to be with them… She’s come back and the hero is even more into her, drawn to her, needed her more than ever now that she’s in town where he can always see her… And since she came back, everything change….

Not more! Cause some other books some of the heroes friends or family will talked about that many times so thankfully this one is not like that! what i really love the most about the heroine is that she really runs away and just completely ignores the hero IMMEDIATELY when he reject the kiss. Just goes away without looking back!!! “One rejection was enough, thank you very much. Types of book that I’m looking for: SAFE, safe all the way from the beginning till the end🥵 No cheating, no unnecessary childish drama. Not too much OW DRAMA cause they are loud and annoying lol. NO to still having feelings about a ex especially wants go get back together tf no. NO to friends with benefits and still seeing other people type of sh*t. NO to hero or heroine who said i love you and have been obsessed but still likes to fvck around yeah big NO to that sh*t. NOOO to still married or still in a relationship with someone else while liking the main character, yeah they have to be single since the beginning. NOOO to a long separation and have someone else they have s3x with during the separation. NOO to too many times of separation and breaking up sh*t. NOO to toxic narcissistic characters.
I preferred the characters are loyal to the core, over the top possessive heroes since the beginning and never stops, main characters have unique jobs or talents, the hero adores and obsessed with the heroine so much, the hero fell harder for the heroine and don’t want let her go and fight for her. Types of book that I’m looking for: SAFE, safe all the way from the beginning till the end🥵 No cheating, no unnecessary childish drama. Not too much OW DRAMA cause they are loud and annoying lol. NO to still having feelings about a ex especially wants go get back together tf no. NO to friends with benefits and still seeing other people type of sh*t. NO to hero or heroine who said i love you and have been obsessed but still likes to fvck around yeah big NO to that sh*t. NOOO to still married or still in a relationship with someone else while liking the main character, yeah they have to be single since the beginning. NOOO to a long separation and have someone else they have s3x with during the separation. NOO to too many times of separation and breaking up sh*t. NOO to toxic narcissistic characters.
I preferred the characters are loyal to the core, over the top possessive heroes since the beginning and never stops, main characters have unique jobs or talents, the hero adores and obsessed with the heroine so much, the hero fell harder for the heroine and don’t want let her go and fight for her. And most importantly EPILOGUE AND ESPECIALLY THE DECADES LATER SCENE…. HAPPY ENDING IS A MUST. Chemistry is a must too 🙏🏼

Y después de tanto esperar por la historia de Florian y Jimena, por fin lo terminé.
Debo decir que la señora Mason lo volvió a hacer, logró engancharme nuevamente de principio a fin.
Me gustó mucho como plasmó a Jimena, quien tuvo sus momentos oscuros como cualquier ser humano.
Como siempre, sufrí con la parte oscura de la historia. Lo que le pasó a Florian siendo un niño fue atroz.
Me encanta cuando aparecen personajes de otros libros. (Madman, de mis personajes favoritos)

Florian’s Bride checkmarks all of my favorite tropes - dark romance, big brother’s best friend, forbidden romance, and age gap. Adding in all of the intrigue, the original storyline, and the interestingly unique characters, this is a book that kept me up all night as I could not put it down!
Florian is member of the Four Dark Horsemen - billionaire friends that are tethered together by childhood, tragedy, and dark extracurricular activities. A little unhinged, these powerful men thrive in a world of chaos. Florian is perhaps the most surprising Horseman of all as he comes across as the playboy and more lighthearted than the others. However, things are not always as they seem and I loved how Jimena was able to peel back those many layers to reveal a man that has overcome adversity and is obsessive and possessive of the woman who thawed his hardened heart.
Jimena is a breath of fresh air. She is 11 years younger than Florian, but he has always held her heart. A relationship with him is forbidden and yet that didn’t prevent her from developing feelings for him. I really enjoyed learning more about her character as well as her role in the Cortez family. She is the younger sister of the Horseman Santiago (from Santiago’s Conquest) and the author does a beautiful job developing her character and in showing the reader just how growing up in the Cortez family affected her. Together, Jimena and Florian are dynamite but as you can imagine, their road to HEA is full of obstacles that are both inside and outside of their social circle. There are many moving parts and I love how the author wove everything together to give the reader such an enjoyable reading experience.
Because I have devoured every single one of this author’s books, I was able to somewhat deduce the big twist early on, yet there were several other revelations that kept me on my toes. Even having my suspicions about one of the turning points in the story, the author excelled in plotting out these well thought-out twists which made the book a suspenseful read. I thoroughly enjoyed witnessing the dynamic among the Four Horsemen and learning about how they came to be and how their bonds evolved over time. I was even entertained friendship & even some humorous banter between Florian’s & Jimena’s fathers. Florian’s Bride is dark romance, but not as dark as her previous books. I was thrilled with all of the action, suspense, steam, and romance and I could not help but fall in love with both Florian and Jimena. If you have enjoyed any of this author’s other books, I highly recommend Florian’s Bride!

**Recommended to read the other books in the series before**
Jimena and Florian have been family friends for years. Though there is an age gap of ~12ish years? He’s the best friend of her brother but she’s been in love with him for years. At one point they kiss when’s she’s 18 and then leaves for awhile. Nothing happens until she returns and then she falls pregnant which starts a huge war between the families.
This book took me a couple of weeks to read lol. I was looking forward to it for soooo long but it just fell flat. I included specifically what I disliked below. I still gave it two stars because I really enjoy the overall series. Jimena wasn’t awful and neither was Florian but when you’ve read the other books and the writing style is so similar it’s hard to keep reading on because..been there done that.. I did really like the epilogue though.
What I disliked:
- cringy dialogue
- Unclimatic pregnancy reveal
- Very similar to the other books with certain parts/dialogue
- Time jumps weren’t super clear between chapters at times
- The more you use thunder for dramatics the less effective it will be later on. This tactic is used in EVERY book within the series
- a lot of time jumps and missing important parts/information
- Seemed like writing was rushed and not very fleshed out
- Ending fight was too easy between characters
- I don’t understand why so many books by this author involve se*ual assault or abuse against children. I get that it adds more depth to plots but I feel like you can do that with so many other storylines. It’s so repetitive and heartbreaking to read over and over.

No saben lo mucho que esperaba esta historia, desde el libro de Santiago que sabíamos todo lo que ocurre con estos dos, moría y cada vez que leí más de ellos en otras historias me desesperaba por saber más de ellos, y por fin pude leerlo y no saben lo mucho que me gustó y lo disfruté.
Me encanto mucho la fuerza de Jimena, a pesar de todo el problema con su familia con Florian siempre fue fuerte y se daba su lugar, para mí de las mejores protagonista que tiene Mason.
Florian uff que puedo decir de ese hombre, aunque al inicio estaba menso por como trataba a Jimena mejoro y me encanta que siempre la protegió y estaba al pendiente de ella.
Una de las cosas que hizo que el libro fuera superior fue el drama que me la autora metio, uff, yo me la pasé bomba, todo lo que pasó entre Jacob y Lucian yo lo ameeee, la historia de la niñez me dió en mi cora 🥺💔
Todo lo de este libro me gustó mucho, yo no quería que se acabará, cuando lo termine me dejó un vacío, sentí que le faltaron hojas por qué yo quería seguir con más, además cuando lo termine quería volver a leerlo y eso solo me ha pasado con el de Zack King, así que para mí eso lo hizo muy bueno.
Pd: la verdad habia pensado en bajar la calificación por dos escenas que no aparecen pero se mencionan una en otro libro de la autora y otro en este mismo libro, me hubiera gustado que las contarán pero lo puedo dejar pasar 🙂↕️🫶🏻

Jimena siempre ha estado enamorada de Florian, el mejor amigo de su hermano. En una fiesta lo acaba besando y huye después de ser rechazada. Tiempo después se reencuentran y pasan cositas.
Es un libro muy emocional, te hace sentir mucho. Creo que pocas historias me han hecho rabiar tanto, no por que la historia sea mala, aunque después voy a ir a quejarme de algunas cosillas, sino por los villanos. Los TW nunca podrían haberme preparado para la crudeza de algunas escenas.
Lo único malo malo del libro (para mí) es el drama innecesario que se crea alrededor de la relación de los personajes. Esto de considerarlo un romance prohibido está alto pasado de moda. Me da demasiado cringe como se ESFUERZAN en crear un conflicto. ¿Me vas a decir que no confías en tu mejor amigo (o sobrino en caso del padre) para tu hermana/hija? ¿Ese tío con el que te has criado codo con codo? AL QUE HAS CASI CRIADO, EN EL CASO DEL PUTO PADRE DE LOS COJONES. QUE ES EL HIJO DE TU MEJOR AMIGOOOOOOO

Such mixed feelings on this one. I love Mason's writing, I faithfully read her novels. But I was disappointed in Florian's book. I felt like this was a Bro-mance filled full of unnecessary flashbacks and a gateway book to introduce other characters for new novels. I didn't feel like Florian and Jimena were given the story they deserved or that was built up over the previous 3 books. However, I do love them and what we were given was hot, funny, and romantic. I just wish the whole book was dedicated to their story.

“Florian’s Bride” is Book 4 of the Four Dark Horsemen Series with tropes of the age gap, a brother’s best friend, and a secret/surprise pregnancy. Jimena has been in love with Florian forever, and they hook up under unique circumstances, which results in a surprise pregnancy. She tries to talk to him about it, but he gives her more than the cold shoulder several times. What she doesn’t know is he is trying to protect her. The story has several well-written spice scenes.
The book can be read standalone. I have not read the other three books. I usually don’t have a problem picking up on a story even if it’s not a standalone—I tend to hop around a lot in series, but I did have challenges with “Florian’s Bride” on the front end of the story. ✨ARC Review 📚✨
Florian & Jimena 🖤 This is the last book of a series, I believe it can be read as a standalone as I did not read the first 3 books beforehand. I will definitely be going back to read them now that I’ve read this one. This book follows Jimena and he love for Florian, her brothers best friend. Florian is dealing with childhood trauma and someone who is targeting not only his family but him directly. He refuses to claim Jimena as his women even after the secret between them, he wants to keep her safe which means he denies his love for her. The book has some of my favorite tropes; age gap, brothers best friend, morally grey MMC, forbidden love and most people’s least favorite surprise/secret pregnancy. Definitely recommend picking it up, as well as the rest of the series that I will be going back to read.

Florian & Jimena 🖤 This is the last book of a series, I believe it can be read as a standalone as I did not read the first 3 books beforehand. I will definitely be going back to read them now that I’ve read this one. This book follows Jimena and he love for Florian, her brothers best friend. Florian is dealing with childhood trauma and someone who is targeting not only his family but him directly. He refuses to claim Jimena as his women even after the secret between them, he wants to keep her safe which means he denies his love for her. The book has some of my favorite tropes; age gap, brothers best friend, morally grey MMC, forbidden love and most people’s least favorite surprise/secret pregnancy. Definitely recommend picking it up, as well as the rest of the series that I will be going back to read.

4.5 I was happy to see Florian and Jimena get their story. The Four Dark Horseman series is one that has taken the reader on a journey with each and every story. Some may consider it a bromance because it begins as children and continues into adulthood among the four main characters of the Four Horseman. This story brought the series full circle in that it not only dealt with the age gap coupling of Jimena and Florian, but all the fall out associated with Jimena being the younger sister of his best friend. The story had plenty of drama, suspense and angst as Florian and Jimena navigate their future as lovers, marriage and becoming parents.
Florian's psychopathic tendencies were finely tuned in this story. The darkness of his childhood and youth was replaced with the true love of a woman and the light that she brought to their relationship. He learned that true love is something far more powerful than the darkness that had enveloped him. I enjoyed how the author ended this series and how each of the four Horseman put aside their differences and united once and for all.
They came together and celebrated everything they had been and everything they had become with the addition of wives that loved them and children that knew them as "daddy".

I received this book as an arc .. It loved this read it had all my favorite tropes dark romance , age gap ,big brothers best friend 😏!! This book is a series and I did not read the other books within the series !! I will say it was still very easy to pick up and understand what was going on !!

This book was a good ending to this series. I didn't quite connect to Florian as I would have liked to but I want to go back and finish this series when I have time. Overall good story though.

Too much packed into a single book

“Too much or not enough” were the first words I used to describe the book to my husband.
The opening chapter set this tone and it continued throughout the story. I LOVED the concept, the general premise, all the elements & subplots that were included, and was so excited to dive into this book. So much of the actual writing was clear and descriptive.
But either the author needed to pull out some of the subplots or extend this into 2 books with the opening chapter (word-for-word repeated later on) as a cliffhanger ending - because everything was touched upon, but nothing felt clearly, fully, or succinctly developed.
We learn right up front of Florian's darker tendencies and it's often implied those are a strong motivator and theme through the book, but it's then glossed over in the early chapters, just entirely forgotten in the middle, and then kind of pulled back to the front at the end of the story. We learn of the tragedy that shaped Florian, but that line of thought or discussion is haphazardly fleshed out in bits and pieces, a few flashbacks, but not at seemingly useful plot line intersections. It’s more of an OBTW. There’s hints of Florian’s artistic mastery of jewelry making and knowledge of gemology, but again, it feels like a thrown-in detail. I would love to have see Florian’s dual-personality more clearly described and his “extracurricular activities” shown more prevalently. There’s a LOT of repetitive dialogue between the Four Dark Horseman (the 4 best friends of this series who each have their own stories)
Similarly the emotional trauma our FMC, Jimena, has experienced is entirely ghostlit - both to Jimena and the reader. Her parents literally can’t remember what her favorite cake is to have at her homecoming & instead serve that of her older, self-absorbed brother whom they all tiptoe around. Ironically, he’s not even expected to be at her homecoming. (This is also shared very early in the story, so no spoiler here!) And as an FMC, she just exists. What does she even DO in life - other than sit around and spend money? There’s hints she plays harp. Suggestions she has artistic talent. But there’s no mention of what she actually DOES as a 20 year old young woman. Philanthropy? Volunteer work? Business? The story takes place over roughly 5 months (excluding flashbacks to childhood) so we would expect to see her do something, anything. Her family is in the top 1% of the top 1%, so she must have something useful to provide to the family dynasty - powerful families typically have high, educational standards for their children and not just to be pretty. Instead, Jimena just exists. Her reconciliation with her parents is summed up with them just vocalizing their love for her and that’s it.
So we have a jewelry designing, multi-billionaire, cereal 💀er (kind of) MMC and a look-pretty, naive but does-nothing with her life except travel around and go to the spa 20 year-old FMC who thinks she’s seduced and gotten pregnant by the the 11-years-older (sort of) best friend of her brother she’s always had a crush on. Add in the threads of mafia, hints of secret societies, jewelry dynasties, mentions of DV, SA, child @büse, and more, but none of them get deep enough treatment to be impactful, and you get a story that’s “right there” on the border of “this could be epic” and I kept waiting for it to tip over that edge.
I'd definitely recommend the book to the folks who want to finish the series. And I'd definitely reread the book if it were extended into a duet and the story filled in more. It's soooo close to gush-over-worthy!

Well, this one was was a good read. The male characters in this book were way more dramatic than the usual fmcs lol. I cringed a bit while reading some of the scenes between the four horsemen. Idk why horsemen, maybe it was explained in the earlier books considering I jumped to this book without reading the previous ones.
The hero was obsessed with the heroine since the moment she kissed him. At first he was all in lust with her but then all of the sudden he said he loved her, when a couple pages ago he said no love? Okayyyy…. Moving on…. Jimena could be irrational and childish at times but considering she was only 19 20 years old, I could let it pass, sure.
There were some flashbacks on Florian’s side, from he was 5,6,11,18 and there was a scene that explained about his past trauma when he was kidnapped and assaulted, thankfully nothing too explicit but still implied and it just disgusted me how it actually happened in real life somewhere. Some people just had to die a slow painful death.
I empathized with Jimena’s feelings towards her parents and brother. Felt like she always came second when her brother was involved. Somehow I could relate to it.
The twist was good for me, usually I could predict twists pretty easily, maybe ‘I was too distracted while reading this so I couldn’t guess who the bad guy was, idk.
Overall a good book to pass time. The ending was quite nice. The angst about their relationship felt a little too OTT for me but other than that, an enjoyable read for sure.

Ok now let's talk about this baby. This book was a rollercoaster of emotions. Fear, love, laugh, hate, sexual tension, happiness and more. The author really did a good job with the emotions, everything was well put in place and I felt like i was directly in the book witch doesn't happen bery often.
The author also did an amazing job with incorporate the horrible past of Florian. It wasn't too much at one time. We had pieces from time to time and I think it's a good idea since it was literally hell for him. After everything he's been thought, Florian find some kind of peace at first with his brothers then after with the love and help of Jimena who loved him since day one. The chapter in question made me cry a little, but also when she's feeling more like a burden to her parents than a daughter was just so sad, because it was understandable and i related to her fear. It was so sad but I think it was necessary to the story for every characters. It made them realize everyone has a place in this big and crazy family.
The love between Jimena and Florian is just to pure for this world. You have a man who literally killed bad peoples and on the other hand you have a princess stuck in her own battles. The fact that they never judge each other for their past mistakes or their past in general show how much they loved each other and that it was real and beautiful. They were made for each other.
The link between the four dark horsemen was EPIC and SENSATIONAL!!!! I mean their friendship and loyalty was so emotional and so real. Even in darkness or difficulties they were loyal to each other!!
Overall the atmosphere all along my reading was so good and I couldn't put it down, and I loved how everything was portrayed. It felt very authentic. So yes I loved this book and how everything was written, the author did a remarkable job and yes I highly recommend this book. I haven't read the first 3 books but I definitely will!

I read this as a standalone, as the tropes are right up my street and sounded perfect for me. Now I wish I'd read the other books in the series because although this was fine to read as a standalone, I want all the details on the other Horsemen.
The Horsemen have a dark history steeped in trauma that they've bonded over; they've all grown up together as a family, and for some of the characters, that's why the relationship between Florian and Jemina is so wrong, because in their eyes, he's watched her grow up, and so they make it scandalous, even comparing Florian to some of the people the Horsemen hunt down and take out (think trafficking rings and child abusers), which was a bitterly low blow that they do eventually get over.
"Compared to the other dark four brides, I knew about his nature all along, but somehow our love story ended up being the most forbidden of all."
Jimena is a light in the world of darkness where the Horsemen live. There are some truly emotional moments, especially when Jimena talks about how she feels having grown up in the shadows. Together, she and Florian are a perfect balance, and she brings out the good in him; he's so protective and possessive over her and his child, which gives him something positive to focus on, but sometimes his need to protect doesn't come across that way, and it seems more like he's ashamed of or abandoned her.
Some fantastic twists and turns keep you guessing and wondering if the happy couple will get their happy ending and what the cost will be. Everything from blackmail and forced marriage to kidnapping. It was right up there with the drama, and I loved it!
My absolute favourite part of the whole book, though, has to be Grandpa Atlas. What a character! He might be old, but he was full of it. And the group text conversations made me chuckle too, adding a bit of light-hearted banter to a dark and gritty story.

I have been waiting for Jimena & Florian's story because out of all the main characters, their story sounded so mysterious and angsty. This book had a lot of dark elements, Florian's past was so painful and when Jimena expressed what she truly felt to her family, that chapter made me cry too. Their chemistry was amazing and I could see that they were always meant to be because by the way Florian cared about Jimena, it was obvious that what they felt for each other was deep and real. Apart from that, there were a lot of fun and dramatic moments too with the entire lot of all these characters and it made the book come alive even more! It was implied in the last book that when Florian & Jimena's relationship will come to light, his relationship with all the three friends will suffer especially because they'll have to pick and chose sides and I was so scared of that happening but I must admit that, the entire scenario was handled very well. Overall, this book was unputdownable and I loved how the bonding between the dark four was portrayed. There were so many emotional and heartwarming moments between all four of them and their family members which was really engrossing. I felt like the ending was abrupt, though the epilogue made up for it. I can't wait to see what's coming next by the author because there were some characters in this book that have definitely caught my attention and I hope what I'm thinking will come true 👀

This is the fourth book in the Four Dark Horsemen Series. It is a dark brother's best friend, forbidden, age gap, romance. It is also one that you want to read. I will warn you that you will not be able to put this book down once you pick it up. Florian of course is a member of the Four Dark Horsemen. These guys are all tied together because they grew up together. They all lived though some serious tragedies and they all belong to the Four Dark Horsemen. We can't forget that these mean love their dark extracurricular activities. Florian is a little different from the others that we have read about. He is more lighthearted. He has a playboy side to him that I just adored. However, things are not always what they seem. Jimena is eleven year younger than him and he is also her big brother's very best friend. She has always had a crush on Florian and no one has ever caught her eye or swayed her from the way she feels about him. I loved how once things changed with them that she was able to peel back the layers of him and we got to see so many sides of him. You can't help but fall so in love with him. We can't forget that there are two powerful family's here and she has a role in the Cortez family. She is after all Santiago's younger sister. I love how all these family's were connected. This book is so good and you are going to fall so in love with these two and maybe be on the edge of your seat a time or two.

After finished reading this book, and I have to say, it left me feeling frustrated. The double standards were glaring: why does the woman always need to be a virgin while the hero isn't? The female protagonist was a meek and weak character without a backbone, making it impossible for me to connect with her. She was indecisive and insecure, which only added to my annoyance.

The romance felt overly dramatic and cringeworthy. The group chat between Lucian, Jacob, and Atlas in the later chapters was particularly cringey; they sounded more like teenagers than adults.
The climax and ending were predictable and lacked any real excitement. However, the epilogue was a redeeming part, set nine years in the future. It was cute to see everyone get their happy ending with a bunch of kids—though seriously, that's a lot of kids between all of them.Overall, this book felt like just another over-the-top romance that left me cringing more than swooning.

This is the book I've been waiting for! We finally get to delve in to Florian and Jimena's story, which we've been teased with in the other Dark Horsemen books and it doesn't disappoint. The chemistry, intrigue and angst that comes with this and really any V.F. Mason story are fantastic. Florian has watched Jimena grow up, supporting her when her parents and brother weren't always able to. He cared for her, but as one would a family member. However, once she kissed him when she turned 18, she became his obsession, but he couldn't let her know, for all sorts of reasons which I can't go into because of spoilers.
Tropes include age gap, forbidden love, brother's best friend, and dark hero. This story isn't as dark as many of Mason's books, but our hero is definitely in the morally gray zone and there are scenes from the past that contain abuse, references to sex trafficking, kidnapping, and torture. Florian's Bride is the final book in the Four Dark Horsemen series that spans the timelines of the other books, but is a standalone in a huge interconnected world that encompasses several of the author's series.
