After Three Divisions, I devoured Two Forces. It picks up right after book 1, and has the same unrelenting pace. The stakes are higher, the romance builds and the sexy times are super hot! What more can a girl ask for??
The character arcs are executed beautifully and the RH romantic elements to me seemed very believable and endearing. This series is my first venture in the RH sub-genre and I can say, no regrets so far.
I’m still very solidly on team Aiden and Ty (not that there should be any divisions, they’re slowly moving towards being one whole unit which is very exciting to me). But I just can’t get enough of them too. Barrett is too sweet for me but I’m glad he’s there and Preston is a sulky gentle giant – can’t wait to see how he will be when his walls finally come crashing down.

I loved this book and I think it was a bit darker than first book. After first book cliffy I wanted to know what will happen next. And I got my answers. Sophie and guys had to work together if they wanted to survive. Working together wasn't always that easy because guys didn't trust each other. They tried their best because of Sophie. She was the reason why they wanted to stay as a group.

"You have to want this as much as I do, Sophie, because, once we go there, I'll be in love with you," I whisper against her lips, bearing my soul to her.

That moment was perfect and I was suprised about who he was. But I think it made sense that it would be him. Can't wait to read next book.

An ARC was provided in exhange for an honest review.

Um, WOW. Holy crap, where do I even begin?!!

Aiden and Ty still remain my favorite boys, but I’m so so SO proud of Preston’s growth in this. I expected him to be the slow burn of the decade and not come around to accept his feelings for Sophie until the last minute. Safe to say I was very happy to see he proved me wrong. Barrett, too!

This book takes on a much darker tone than Three Divisions as you dive deeper into the plot. There are some extremely sensitive topics covered in this so please heed the warning. However, I loved this sequel! There’s plenty of super hot moments between Sophie and her boys which will leave you panting and parched. There are parts that will have you on the edge of your seat and others that will leave you anxious and terrified to turn the page. For starters, THAT ENDING!!

I can’t wait for book three!

Diving deeper into the mystery that is Crescentwood, we are thrown into a much darker side of the town and our girl and her guys find themselves right in the middle of it all.

Sophie is showing us just how strong she is and how well the five of them work as a team even if they don't all like it. My heart was racing through many moments in this book and not just for the steamy scenes, there is so much action that at some points I didn't know how they were all going to get out of the sticky situations they found themselves in. I couldn't stop reading and when I finally got to the end I felt like screaming for more!

This book was magnificent. It is book 2 in a series, and I loved the first one but I love this one even more.

Two forces had so many elements that I crave in books. Relationship building was on point, with each of the characters developing further in this book, and we get insight not only into Sophie, but each of the men she's involved with as well.
There's steam, and love, and overprotective men.
My favorite thing about this book? How dark it was. You know from book one that there's some bad stuff going on in that town, but in Two Forces, R.A. Smyth delves into the dark and twisted deviant behaviours of the villains, and I couldn't get enough. It is beautifully written, with great word choice and descriptions, but not so much that you lose interest or find it overwhelming. I'm so impressed, and I can't wait for the rest of the plot to unfold.

Book two did not disappoint I am in love with ty and aiden definitely my favorite of her guys and second is Barrett also love his totally spies obsession throwback to when I was a kid Preston is getting there for me. I love how Barrett, Preston both owned up to there mistakes in there own ways and how sophie is holding her own when she is being disrespected

Amazing intrigue

The leather-bound boys from the wrong side of the tracks and the privileged guys -- so different, yet so alike -- are back in this suspense-filled story with a confident heroine. Enemies to lovers tension as characters investigate this crime world for their own respective interests, eventually uniting in this why-choose story, and there are so many tentacles of connection, so many discoveries to be realized.

Again, I was a big fan of the guys in this book, different, but mirrored across financial lines and with a confident heroine, and some true wicked villains in the storyline too. As drama unfolded, the chemistry abounded between the main characters creating some steamy scenes. Interestingly, antiheroes turned into heroes, and even though I prefer consistency in traits especially in bad boys, the sweeter main characters also worked for the storyline. For my reading, just a bit too much of a slow burn for my tastes as it was depicted overly descriptive and thereby unnecessarily prolonging the pace.

Still, I really enjoyed this tale; the intrigue was exceptional as well as the character development. Looking forward to book 3.

Wasn't this an absolutely epic dark addition to this amazing series by a newish author. I really love how dark and bloodsoaked this series is and the strength Sophie has as she faces up to all these men who want to use her for their own dark terrible needs. She has gathered herself a group of 4 guys that have fallen for her and who will protect her in anyway they can. I can't wait to see them all finally confront their enemies and take down the evil group. I really recommend you give this series a read and see if the darkness calls out to your soul as it has done to mine.

Well I thought the first book in this series was good. Then along comes this cracker of a second!!

Not for the faint of heart. As we delve deeper into what's happening in crescentwood the tone definitely gets darker. Do heed the trigger warnings, this isn't all hearts and roses. There are horrible things going on in this little town and our little band find themselves right in the middle of it. but right alongside that we get to see Sophie grow in both strength and in her ability to ask for what she wants.

The characters really make this series, the depth of feeling they invoke is incredible and I found myself more than once cheering on Sophie or cursing one of the guys for being an idiot. I love that the guys aren't all friends before they met Sophie, it brings a brilliant dynamic between them. As for the steam? Hot hot hot!!

Now I really really REALLY! need book three....

SPECTACULAR, No words to describe this 2nd installment.
Things are heating up in Crescentwood. Sophie, Aiden,Tyler, Preston, and Barrett have decided the best course of action is to put their feelings aside and group together to figure out how to take down the Criminal Organizations AKA the one-percenters..This book was amazing in all aspects. There is absolutley nothing I would change. From Sophie really deciding what she wants to the guys also making decisions on what they want. I loved the scenes with the different couples, the way the author portrayed those times was some of the best stuff yet. I loved that in those times it shows Sophie just really letting her womaness rule, being cared for, letting her guard down and just being in the moment..I literally could not put it down.
This book showed alot of incredibly hard, tough, scary times for all of them. It was action-packed and I was there for it..A page-turner for sure. There were a lot of moments where I was scared and worried for Sophie and the guys. How they were going to get out of the situations they found themselves in?..I was on the edge of my seat. When a book is so detailed with every scene down to the smallest detail, and meticulously done to the point of being able to visualize what it looks like, that is when i know the book is a masterpiece. Thats what did it to me/for me?..You can almost smell the trees, see the warehouse, feel the emotions in the air...The cliffhanger was not as rough compared to the last one(thank-goodness) but still is leaving me on edge as to what might happen in the last book. This whole series is incredible. Its well-written, steamy, dark, but all in all it makes you root for the characters. Emotions are high. Will they overcome this test of all tests to be able to live their lives. These 5 broken people deserve to glue their pieces back together. I know im rooting for them. What I also love so much too, is that the group is not just all of the sudden a happy group with no issues...Its real, and its deciding that Sophie is worth it and coming together for her, but also shows that it takes work. Its not going to be unicorns and rainbows all the time. Thats when a book has my heart, The realness, the heartache, the walls coming down..Its a beautiful process to watch. And that, is what a good book is supposed to be..
A must read, a great second book. EVERYONE NEEDS TO READ THIS...It does have some triggers so please read any warnings. Thank you RA SMYTH for another great one!

Lord help me just when I thought this story couldn’t get any crazier R.A Smyth goes and delivered me us Two Forces. If you thought Kirk was was crazy in book 1 well his level of crazy elevated by 100. We get to see so much growth between Sophie and all four of the guys but we also get to see some great growth between all four of the guys. The guys all have finally accepted that none of them are leaving Sophie’s side and their ultimate goals are to keep her safe and take down but job Kirk. This story is not for the faint at heart because there were definitely some moments where my heart was in my throat having tears streaming down my face and my soul was a bit crushed especially when it comes to Sophie but despite what she has to go through she is still me badass babe who would sacrifice herself to keep her guys safe. There are still so many twists and turns through out this whole book and some questions we get answers for and as the story progresses I still have so many more. I was completely engaged from beginning to end and now I’m really in need for the conclusion.

Wow! I am completely and utterly addicted to this story! The plot entices you in from the first page, it's so full of suspense, danger, action and even humour, it really is a well rounded book that grips you immediately!
Sophie is determined, independent and yet still very vulnerable, but she really does have this inner strength.....no wonder the guys can't stay away from her! As for the guys, they are so very different, i can see why Sophie finds it impossible to pick between them! I don't know how she holds herself together given everything she goes through in this book, i lost count of how many times my heart was in my mouth wondering what was going to happen to these characters.....danger literally lurks around every corner for them and i just don't know how they can fight back!

This story is seriously brilliant and i recommend to anyone who loves a dark, action filled romance full of angst, steamy sex scenes and characters you cant help but fall in love with!
I am still amazed that this is only the second book by this author !? It really is an amazing read!

Once again i am left reeling at the ending, gutted i now have to wait for the next book! What will happen to these characters? Will they survive and what will their relationships look like when its all over? So very excited for more!!!

I received an ARC from the author and this is my honest review.

This is is one of those books that you seriously don't want to ever end. It was even better then the first. If you have read the first book, then you understand how much of an accomplishment that is. If you have not read the first book yet then stop reading this review and get on it. You will not regret it.

This one was amazing I can't stop reading I needed to know what happen next. The character development in this book was perfect and so much needed. I really love that Sophie didn't have sex with Preston so fast they took their time and I really like that because he hurt her a lot so he had to gain her trust to be with her. Also Thank god that he didn't slept with Meghan I hate when they love or like the FMC but have sex with other women. Can we just take a moment and enjoy Ty and Aiden Sandwish OMFG that was hot. I enjoy the a lot all of the twist and turns but omg Kurt is a Psyco he need help ASAP 🤣. The development of the plot was very interesting I was like omg what is going to happen next. Also can we talk about Sweet Sweet Barrett ❤ he have my heart he really love Sophie and he is doing everythin he can to show her that he loves her. Im starting to like Oliver and Im concern that I will like him too much and then I would like him to be in the harem well I have to wait. Either way he seems like a very "goodguy" at least he is helping them. I really like Sophie's character although her childhood was not the best she try to see the better in things she is a very real and solid character. Another amazing thing I love how amazing you write the inclution of Barrett and Preston in the harem it was so easy a not a big deal no jelousy only acceptance. I hate when all of the guys are compiting against each other. Ty and Aiden were very mature about it the main focus is Sophie not them. That was amazing thank you for that. ❤ Oh I almost forgot the almost rape scene was very well written and clean and the aftermath was very raw and real all of the emotion that were put on that part of the scene were amazing.

Overall I will say this one was better that the first book well done is a 5 stars from me. It have the right amount of sex and plot so you have a solid plot and a side of sex LOL 😅
Thank you very much for the opportunity of the ARC I was very happy that I got it I was going crazy because I wanted to read the second book ASAP so yeah Thank you so much.

Two Forces is the second book in Crescentwood series. Without spoiling much, like I've said in my previous review for book #1, the story takes a dark turn, even more so in the second installment. Those of you who can't/won't read about triggering topics might want to stay clear because there are some graphic scenes not suitable for the faint of heart. That being said, as a dark romance super fan, I loved the direction this series took, as I was expecting it to be just another bully highschool rh, but author R.A. Smyth managed to make it into something else. That being said, as much as I love a dark and graphic novel, some of the twists were a little predictable.

The character growth is definitely a high point. Douchebags Preston and Barret were considerably more likable, as they work together with Sophie, Ty and Aiden while trying to accept their feelings for the FMC - and the fact that she has two other boyfriends they cannot stand. Ty and Aiden on the other hand were amazing, the things they have to do and endure can make some readers question if they deserve a happy ending, but at the end of the day they need to survive and protect Sophie the best they can, even if it means taking part in bad shit, things that eat them away from the inside out. Ty and Aiden specifically had a bloody path to follow since they were kids, and neither of them can ever forget the cruelty thrown their way. Thankfully, they found Sophie, and she helps all four guys to feel the light again.

Unfortunately, it's not all sunshines and rainbows. Second book had the same editing problems as the first, and I dare say it was a little worst in this one. It doesn't make it unreadable, but can definitely put off some readers.

Overall, a great series that can be improved further, and I look forward to reading the next one.
4.5/5 stars.

Couldn't put this one down from start to end I was hooked

Wow. This is a perfect example of why even if the first book of a series doesn't immediately draw me in, I will still give book 2 a chance. Yes I struggled thru the first half of book 1, but if I had given up and skipped reading book 2, I would gave missed out on an amazing book. This book hooked me at the beginning and the plot twists that I was able to see coming before they were actually revealed still shocked me.

There was one particular scene I struggled with. I did understand why she needed that bit of revenge, but it was still hard to justify her actions knowing how she had similarly experienced the same thing. When the bullied becomes a bully it walks a very fine line for me, but I do realize that it is sometimes a necessity to show others you will not tolerate being used as a doormat. I will also warn that the epilogue of this book is extremely disturbing and graphic so if you are triggered by blood this may not be a great choice to read.

Yes still some minor editing issues, but a definite improvement in the writing style from book 1. I always appreciate authors who are able to constructively look at the first book in a series and can see where things could have been better. And then actually work to make those style changes in the next book.
I'm anxious to read the final book at the end of April to see how their story wraps up. I definitely recommend you give this new author a chance.

If I was speechless with the first book, I don't know how to describe this one. This book was one of those wickedly good page-turners. You don't want to finish the book, but at the same time, you can't stop reading. It's full of suspense, danger, secrets, action.

Everything starts getting darker and darker as we go deeper into all the lies and horrible secrets that surround Crescenttwood; after a series of events, Sophie, Tyler, Aiden, and Preston realise they need to work as a team if they want to get to the bottom of all the secrets.

In this second book, we get a more determined Sophie; she knows what she wants, and she shows us how strong she truly is. Preston was always a mystery, never showing any emotions, but he's slowly showing more of himself and his emotions towards Sophie.

I loved the character development for each one of them throughout the book. Getting multiple points of views in the book really helps you understand each one of them and the unique relationship they have between all of them.

I can't wait to see how R. A. Smyth will blow my mind with the third book; I recommend it to anyone who loves a dark, action-filled romance full of angst. It does have some triggers, so make sure you read the warnings!!

Crescentwood is addicting

Look, I stalked my way into R. A. Smyth’s good graces. I’m not ashamed, I’m not regretful, I’m not sorry. I stalked right in there and put myself in her world.
I loved Three Divisions so much and I couldn’t put it down. And when I tell you that Three Divisions laid all the base work so that Two Forces could shine, I mean it.
Two Forces is fast paced, eventful, and keeps you on your toes.

“You have to want this as much as I do, Sophie, because, once we go there, I’ll be in love with you,” I whisper against her lips, bearing my soul to her.”
— Two Forces: Crescentwood 2 by R.A. Smyth

I still claim Barrett. He’s still mine, but these other guys are quickly winning my heart. But still, I want you to know, I claimed Barrett long ago, he’s mine.
This book really has you falling for the other guys and Preston *sigh* kind of broke my heart and made it so much better all at the same time.
Sophie continues to show a strength that I’m not sure if ever have after the crap storm that’s rained down on her.
I’m dying to find out what happens next!

This series is getting better by the book

This is a dark Rh with some possible triggers.
Book two of the Cresentwood books and I’m so happy that the cliffhanger we were left on at the end of book one was picked up straight away! I’m not sure I would have coped having to wait ages to find out. I loved seeing the guys relationships with Sophie change in this book. They’re all finally on one side and fiercely protective of Sophie. I’m so happy that a certain guy finally gave in and got his head together and made a move! Then since I’m apparently a glutton for punishment this book also has a pretty huge cliff. I love that Sophie’s Irish side was referenced more in this one, some phrases and mentions of her accent rather than it being overlooked. I need more of her friendship with Mia too! But I also kinda want to see what her psycho stalker does next, cause while he’s totally deranged, I’m all for his taking care of someone else I didn’t like.
Onto book three where I’m hoping that things get even more heated and Kirk gets his comeuppance.

Blown away

Honestly, I can’t believe this is this author’s debut series. She writes like a seasoned pro. This book from start to finish has kept me at the edge of my seat, blood pumping vigorously, heart battering itself crazily against my rib cage. Basically, it gave me anxiety, but like in the best of ways. I was terrified for these characters like they were my friends or blood relatives that’s how utterly and completely immersed I was in this story. Like will they survive ? What’s going to happen next? Your girl was on edge. Sophie is amazing, I’ve mentioned this in my last review. She may not be physically strong but her mental fortitude and emotional strength is unmatched and has aided her very well in survival . Not only that I adore her guys, they are amazing. I was a little worried about Preston, the dude rubbed me the wrong way, but he definitely makes up for it in this book. Also can I give this author kudos for not blindsiding us with the most painful cliffhanger in history. I am very much satisfied at where this book ended off and can’t wait to read the next one. Read this series you will not be disappointed.

Keeps getting better!

This book picks up right where the first book ended. There is a lot more dark themes in this book. I definitely had a hard time reading a couple scenes but it makes it easier to want Sophie and her guys to
take down the bad guys.

This book had some action and we found out more about Kirk and the Feral Beast. But mostly it was about Sophie’s relationships with the guys. Her, Tyler and Aiden are fully committed to each other. Seeing Aiden’s softer side when he is with Sophie is heartwarming. We learn about Tyler’s past and how he got caught in the feral beasts. Barrett is trying to prove to Sophie his feelings for her are real and make up for how he treated her before. We also see his jealous side with Sophie being with Aiden and Tyler. Preston still annoyed me until the end of the book. He kept trying to hide his feelings and was mostly broody and quite. All the guys showed they care about Sophie and will do anything to protect her.

Sophie is still as tough as before and is determined to find out what secrets are happening in Crestwood. She doesn’t let the guys hold her back even when it is dangerous. I can’t wait to find out what Kirk’s ultimate plan is and see how Sophie, Tyler, Preston, Aiden, and Barrett plan to stop him. Also that last chapter gave me some serious chills.

When Sophie’s Mother dies, the 17 year old is pulled to live with her Father in America. Her whole world has turned upside down, but going from being poor to rich is nothing compared to the dangerous world she found herself in. With the help of four boys, Aiden, Tyler, Barret, and Preston, can they take down the 6 richest families in America, and the cruel gang that threatens all their lives?

The first two books in this series are soooooo good. For those of you that are fans of Tate James’ and J. Bree’s books- you will enjoy this dark reverse harem series. The characters are broken and bad-ass! The heroine is definitely not weak, and she makes the ones who bullied her repent too! Which is always a pet peeve of mine. Definitely a must read!

4.5 ⭐️

Buckle up readers for this fast spaced ride.

Picking up right where Book 1 ended, this book doesn’t slow down til the cliffhanger ending. And what an ending it is. Though I will say not super surprised by it.

Sophie is still in “Stepford City” where dark secrets abound. Her relationship continues with Aiden and Tyler and grows with Barrett and Preston. And these contain what you expect: lots and lots of heat, angst, humor and joy.

Loved the interaction between Sophie and the guys. I wanted to punch other characters who were just viscous and downright creepy with her.

More secrets are revealed about the town and her father and his friends.

I don’t even know what to write .... I thought I knew where we were going and we drove off a cliff

The ending, sweet Jesus! I knew a certain character was a little evil but not a total psychopath 🤯 did I message RA and scream about the ending? Yes, I did. I regret nothing. I need book 3!

As this is RH, I love all the men for different reasons but Preston is really working his way into my heart. I want to slap him, hug him, punch him and then kiss him.

You think you know how twisted this town and it’s people are but that’s only the surface.

I love this deliciously fucked up series.

This Crescentwood number two, Two Forces continues the story of Sophie, Aiden, Tyler, Preston and Barrett. It is an amazing story and holds your attention from the first page. It has something for everyone; steamy, villains, strong main female character, drool worthy men and drama. The character development is well rounded and exciting, you really love these people. I love books when you hear what the guys are thinking. If you enjoy slow burn, action filled romance and dark themes then this is the story for you. I highly recommend it. There are some triggers so beware. I can't wait to see what the next book brings.

I just...wow! I have so many things that I wanna ask about, Like Oliver! Is he going to become a person of interest ? someone in book two had lots his damn mind. The "Barbies" need to find Jesus or some sort of deity cause they have no moral compass. I think I have to just admit that I am unashamedly invested in this series. The absolute best aspect I have to say though, is that the riding was on point! The Bain of my existence is hating a book you loved because you succumbed to a case of dyslexia or illiteracy during the book. This just cemented my obsession with this series...ah, le sigh!R.A. I thought book 1 of this series was amazing, book 2 not only picks up where we left off but amped everything up. More danger, more heat, more revelations. Sophie is put through the ringer in this one, not only is she in put through some situations no one should have to experience but so do our guys! I am so impressed with the growth if all of the characters in this book. Ty and Aiden continue to be the solid support Sophie needs and Preston and Bennett step up to the bat and hit it out of the park. I am not going to lie, Aiden was solidly my favorite since book 1 but now I am torn. Might I say, without spoilers-PRESTON!!!! Way to go.

Wow. Just wow. I received an ARC for book one, but after that cliffhanger, I had no choice but to immediately dive into the second book and boy am I glad I did.

Things are being thrown at Sophie and the guys from all sides in this one. It’s great to see everyone starting to get along, but it’s hilarious to see when personalities clash and the guys all tolerating one another.

Again, the author has done an amazing job of making the characters and world feel so real and human. I felt like I went on this epic journey with them. I laughed out loud, my heart broke, I celebrated their wins with them. I feel like I’ve been on a rollarcoaster of emotions.

Yet another cliffy (although thankfully nowhere near as bad as the first). I’m definitely left dying to know what comes next for these guys and how they are going to get through everything! I desperately need the next book now. This author has become a one-click author for me, her world building and character development are totally on point.

Great addition

Recently discovered this author, and so glad I did ! The first book in this series was great , and this follow up was just as good ( if not better ) can not wait for book 3 , there’s a cliffhanger but it’s not too brutal , and the story was fab , characters well rounded ( though I personally want more background on the guys , they are still well rounded and realistic) the world building is definitely good , and the action keeps you guessing , well worth the read !

Wowzers!! I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars! I am OBSESSED!! I wanted to be reading this book every spare second I had!
This book picks up right where the first book leaves off and it is intense!! And the suspense doesn’t let up throughout the entire book! What a fast-paced, thrilling, steamy, dark read! It’s everything I love all rolled into one epic book! I’m equal parts excited to start book 3 and sad because as much as I absolutely need to know what happens next, I just don’t ever want this series to end!
Absolutely amazing!
