4 stars.
Honestly this is only barely a MC romance, it’s more of a billionaire, fake fiancé kind of thing because Drake is less interested in club life.
But I liked it.
It was really sweet

Innocent by Addison Jane was a quick but engaging MC story featuring Cassidy and Drake. Cassidy is back in Boston, her hometown, after fleeing an abusive ex-boyfriend. Drake is currently split between his CEO suit-and-tie business side in Boston and his leather-cut biker side in Nevada. As Cassidy is low on funds and Drake accidently leaves his wallet in the car, Cassidy ropes him into a fake-engagement con to score free drinks at the bar where they had just met. After unintentionally going viral for their engagement, Cassidy's ex finds her at her new job and threatens her life yet again.

What follows is a whirlwind romance between Cassidy and Drake as they navigate their newly publicized fake engagement while also exploring their genuine growing feelings for each other. While they are "fake" engaged, everyone in their real lives knows they didn't mean to go viral so it doesn't quite fall under the fake-dating trope. The spice was pretty damn good and the mouth on Drake was something else. Check out my highlights for an example 😜 Drake very quickly became intensely protective over Cassie and was willing to go to whatever lengths to ensure his safety. There were many on page scenes of abuse so please check TW.

The pacing was pretty good and even though this story only spans a few weeks (other than the time jump in the beginning), it doesn't feel too insta-lovey for me. Cassidy and Drake both fall for each other and support each other in finding and following their true passions. There's a great message in here about staying true to yourself and trusting others. Overall a very well flushed out story, especially for one that's ~270 pages.

I discovered Addison Jane back in February 2020 when I read the first two books in her Phoenix Club Girl Diaries series, and I was so impressed with her world building and plot and character development that I immediately went back and downloaded everything I could get my hands on from her! Back then, she’d only written the first book in this series, Irrevocable, and I was giddy with anticipation for more! Well, I lost track of her until I saw that on her social media, by accident, that Innocent was coming soon and she’d published Illusive as well already! Let the backlist binging begin!

All of that is to say that I have missed these connected worlds that Addison has created, and I hope she not only continues with the Exiled but also branches out to Boston as well!

I loved the connection that Drake and Cassidy had! The writing was so spectacular that from the very beginning, I felt this sense of kismet with them. Their chemistry was explosive, and their personalities meshed incredibly well. It was a joy to read their journey and even though Cassidy’s circumstances were a bit predictable, they made the story captivating and a page-turner. Their relationship and growing understanding of one another that stole the show for me, the rest was noise LOL I mean obviously it wasn’t bad noise but I’m sure you feel me when I say because their growth as a couple and individuals was enthralling, everything else just didn’t matter one way or the other!

Anywho, these are my 2 cents on not just this story, but this author’s talent. Don’t spend them all at once :)

Cassidy had rescued herself from hell, and while she's a strong beautiful soul, there are some scars left over that kept her from her sister because of shame. She's worked hard to restart her life, and her absolute passion for flowers really left me with a smile on my face. Drake is a member of The Exiled Eight MC out of Vegas, but he's torn between his family & the business he built into a billion dollar business, and it's when he's in Boston for his business that he comes across Cassidy. Their first meeting was absolutely fantastic, and there's no doubt fate played a hand in it all as they connected from the jump so the new journey was on. She helped him see some things clearly that he was struggling with while he freed her up even more, and their sexy times were delicious! Of course her past doesn't want to stay in the past so there were a lot of twists & excitement as she had to rise one more time, but this time, she had Drake in her corner. To see their journey, you'll have to hit those one click buttons as you simply can't go wrong with Addison Jane! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Never disappoints.

Addison never disappoints in giving me a little of everything and wrapping it up perfectly in the end, leaving me utterly satisfied.

Cassidy and Drake had great chemistry from the beginning, but they moved quickly due to unforseen circumstances.

Cassidy has experienced the worst in men and, after escaping that life, had no intentions of being anyone's victim again. She was sweet with a lot of love to give, but she was also guarded and wary of the unknown for good reason.

Drake is a deliciously delightful package wrapped up in lethal and a suit. It's legit the best of both worlds. My man straddled the line of two worlds for as long as he could avoid the conversation. The funny thing was that he was made for both, and everyone could see it. He didn't have to choose. He thought before he acted (in most cases). He was patient and kind, but of course, he has that dominant bossy side courtesy of his daddy.

Despite it being a very turbulent beginning... I really loved how easily they fit one another. The chemistry is great. The connection that grew was undeniable and only fortified through everything they endured.
I really enjoyed them together.

Of course, as well as our main characters, we get some delightful old faces and some new. The story paced really well, and all the characters worked perfectly. I laughed, ranted and whooped at the book along the way and finished feeling very content in their HEA. I can't wait for what's next!.

It was really hard to not like Cassie from the start, to root for her to get away, to see her living a life with no fear, to just wanting to help a guy get a drink. She definitely got lucky with the last one. Cassie and Drake had some great chemistry and I loved how they went for it unabashedly. I hated that Cassie snuck out, I wanted more for them.

I was so happy when Cassie's friend tracked down Drake when she needed help. Would she been ok without, probably, but money does talk and when you have someone powerful standing by your side, things tends to be easier and Cassie needed that.

I loved Cassie getting a glimpse at Drake's life in Las Vegas, definitely a different side of him, but she fit in perfectly! I hated how the trip ended, in more than one way. Loved that Drake knew he had people in both cities that had his back and they did what they could to make sure there was no more threats to Cassie. It was great to see the way that they were starting their lives together, with all the support at their backs.

Innocent is book three in the Exiled Eight Series. This is an Insta-lust, MC, billionaire romance. The story focuses on Drake and Cassidy.

Drake is protective, smart, business savvy, loyal, and likes control. He has his vulnerable moments as well. He lets doubt take over when it comes to the future and tries to navigate life as an MC member in Vegas and businessman in Boston. He's holding back, worried about making the wrong decision and letting the past dictate the what if's.

Cassidy is fun, mischievous, witty, passionate, strong, and a survivor. She's been through hell and back and has been able to move forward, though her past keeps coming back to haunt her. She never gives up and never quits fighting for the life she deserves, which is admirable.

Cassidy and Drake had a unique way of meeting which blossomed into a sweet relationship. Their journey was complicated, angsty, with action and drama, but also full of so much love and support. We meet some new characters that I am guessing we will see in the future, perhaps in a spin off series. I was a little disappointed that we didn't get any Dakota, especially when Rip was around. I would have liked to see her interact with Cassidy. Overall it was another enjoyable read by Addison.

Absolutely loved this book you've done it again 5 stars.
This read is full of steamy scenes, laugh out loud moments and drama with my favourite MC the Exiled Eight world.

Drake is struggling with finding a balance between his true passion as CEO of the family's building company with it's expansion into Boston and the MC life he grew up.

Cassidy has finally escaped her abusive ex and has spent the last 6 months rebuilding her life until she appears in the tabloids with Drake and her past comes back to haunt her.

Gotta love millionaire bikers

Let me see if I can express this the right way...
I was a bit disappointed with Drake's story. Knowing him since books 1 and 2, I had high expectations for him. I imagined him working hard to get some lady's attention. He had it easy with Cassie. She just fell from the sky and they liked each other right away. Easy...
HOWEVER... I loooved Cassie's story. The struggles, the pain, finding such a perfect man after her loser ex, the crazy plot twists... Wow!!!
And I must add (again) that I'm all for millionaire bikers. Bring on the LV suits and the Gucci hoodies. 😍

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

I escaped a brutal past. Created a life I loved. But when your fake proposal with your one night stand ends up plastered all over the internet, suddenly you're right back where you started. This is the story of Cassidy and Drake. Drake is the oldest son of Huntsman and he is a man trying his best to find the balance between the two things he loves to do. He is the CEO of a billion dollar company and a member of the Exiled Eight MC. Cassidy is a woman who has not had the easiest life and has had to take matters into her own hand to try and build a better life for herself. These two just so happen to meet in the most random way and a fake proposal that spreads like wildfire on the internet. What they never saw coming was the feelings that will develop between them and Drake becoming a the one who falls first and turns into a protective alpha male that you are absolutely love. But Cassidy is certainly a fiery woman who is determined to take her life back when things from her past begin to invade it. I can't tell you much more about this story and not ruin something. Full of twists and turns that will keep you on your toes and reading well into the night, this is a book you do not want to miss.

Book three from The Exiled Eight MC series doesn’t primarily focus on the MC itself, instead the focus is on Drake the oldest son of Huntsman, president of the MC. As well as being a patched member of the MC Drake’s the CEO of a billion dollar company, he’s a successful, passionate businessman with a protective streak when it comes to those he cares about. Whilst in Boston for business, Drake finds himself in a bar without his wallet on him which unexpectedly leads him to leaving said bar at the end of the night with a fiancee in tow. Drake and his new ‘fiancee’ Cassie have an incredible connection and they end up going back to his hotel room where things get rather hot and steamy between the pair. News of Drake’s engagement, which was in-fact all a ruse in order to get free drinks for himself and Cassie hits the headlines, and for Cassie that’s bad news as it puts her in the spotlight alerting her abusive ex-partner to her whereabouts, bringing him back into her life, albeit rather briefly but enough to cause some serious upset, causing more problems for Cassie, ultimately putting her life in more danger, however Drake has her back and when Cassie’s situation escalates his protective streak goes into overdrive as he does all he can, along with some help from the MC, to rescue her from harm's way. There’s drama, action and some pretty intense scenes as Drake and Cassie’s journey towards a happily ever after reaches its conclusion.

Addison Jane has gifted readers with an exciting and captivating storyline. I'm just loving this series, and Innocent has been a fantastic addition to it, one I couldn’t put down and has left me desperate for more

Innocent is Drakes & Cassies Story & is book 3 in The Exiled Eight MC Series.

I really enjoyed this book. I was unsure how I would feel about this series at first because its not your typical MC romance, BUT Addison Jane brought together the tropes flawlessly. Innocent includes a good dose of suspense, MC, fake fiancé, protective alpha male and the billionaire CEO tropes. Drake is Huntsmans oldest son who has taken over the family construction business, but is struggling to commit to a move permanently to Boston to run the business. Cassie moved back to Boston after escaping a extremely toxic and abusive relationship & is determined to get her life back. They meet randomly at a bar & in order to get free drinks Cassies sets him up to fake propose unknowing that he is a billionaire. Jane did a fantastic job of not making this a insta love situation, but there is this instant connection that pulls them together. When the media splashes the news of their engagement on every surface Cassies past quickly catches up with her & as Drakes overprotective alpha gets kicked into overdrive he realizes there is more he would like to explore with Cassie. Drake will do anything to keep her safe & with the help of his family they are able to get her out of harms way. On the journey to Drake & Cassies HEA you get a good dose of suspense, drama, action, and some as well.

I think this is a perfect series for someone dipping their toes in the MC world. This books can be read as a standalone, but it is enjoyed more if you read the first 2 books first. Illusive is book 2 & is one of my all-time favorite books so I had high standards for this book and it met them all.

This story about Cassidy and Drake, one of the Vegas The Exiled Eight MC and a successful businessman, has you experiencing every emotion possible from fear to anticipation, anger to excitement, sadness to happiness and everything in between.

My heart went out to Cassidy but at the same time I admire her strength and determination. She has a fun sense of humour and once relaxed enough her free spirit just roars free. Drake is such a fantastic character, yes he is a gorgeous guy, but he is also a strong and loyal man who cares deeply for his friends and family. His respect for women, reinforced by Huntsman—his father, is second to none and it’s these qualities that make him stand out. The chemistry between Cassidy and Drake is super charged and could light up the sky with one spark. They are great together and show each other how they care in many different ways.

The drama and action is intense in a few scenes, mainly concerning Cassidy, even so, it gradually builds up to a rip snorting crescendo that really does have you speed reading to find out what happens. The anticipation and excitement is incredibly mind blowing.

The ending is absolutely sensational and perfect for this story. Actually, everything in this book is terrific with great balance—the darker elements are sprinkled with lighter ones, fabulous characters sweep you along in the story, as well as, evil ones that you would gladly knock out with a piece of four by two and the storyline is interesting and you sure do go on an adventure—one I couldn’t put down.

Nobody writes an MC romance quite like Addison Jane, Innocent was intoxicating, it was laced with tragedy, it has danger, it was hot, but most importantly, it was exhilarating from start to finish.

Innocent has all the drama and unique undercurrent that comes only from an MC romance. Still, Ms Jane puts an entirely new spin on Drake, the son of the President of the MC by taking the focus away from the MC and bringing in a new dynamic that of Drake the businessman. The latter has taken the construction side of the club and made it into a billionaire-dollar business.

However, Drake never forgets where he comes from, splitting his time between L. A where the club is, and Boston where he is spending most of his time, is becoming difficult, and a hard decision needs to be made, one he wasn't prepared to do, but when he meets Cassidy at a bar, and the pair hit it off all that is about to change. I loved Cassidy's bright smile, the way through all that she went through at the hands of her ex-boyfriend she still smiles and her love for flowers and how they have helped her was just a great piece of writing. Drake totally had the swoon factor, and the way he and Cassidy connected both physically and mentally was a joy to see unfold, but Cassidy's past is about to reappear, and it will take Drake the MC and friends to keep their heads when tragedy strikes.

The Exiled Eight MC has been an electrifying series so far, and I can't wait for what comes next from this talented author.

Another Awesome Story

Loved Drake and Cassie's story. She was on the run from an abusive relationship where her ex almost killed her. She was in a bar in Boston when in walked Drake. He was dealing with a bad day and just realized he left his wallet and phone in the SUV with his driver. Cassie strikes up a conversation and the next thing he knows he's picking up the ring she dropped on the floor. He's kneeling in front of her and she pretends he proposed. This led to congratulations from those in the bar to them getting free drinks. From there she buys him pizza from the business down the street and one thing leads to another and she ends up going home with him. The attraction for both of them is undeniable and when he tracks her down a couple days later he's astonished to find the flower shop where she works destroyed, Cassie hurt and a dead man. Her ex found her, started beating her and in self defense she kills him. Turns out she isn't out of danger because her ex's brother is now threatening to kill her and he almost succeeds. You get pulled into the story from the first chapter.

A definite must read

I was intrigued by these characters when they were initially introduced in the Club Girls Diary series (which I would highly recommend reading!!!), and even more when I read the first two books in this series. I was thrilled to see a new release for this series, and hope that there will be many more to come. This story had wonderful characters, humor, drama, angst, suspense, and intriguing twists and turns that will have you hooked from the start. There were heartbreaking situations, emotional turmoil, but in the end, the HEA they fought for and won made everything worth it. It's certainly not a story that you'll want to miss!
I would highly recommend reading the Club Girls Diary series, both of them, prior to beginning this one. It's not necessary to do so, however it is where Huntsman and the Exiled Eight MC are initially introduced, and there is one story that also includes this family. All of the stories are absolutely fantastic, and will have you hooked from the start.
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

This is the third book in this incredible series, and this is Drake and Cassidy’s journey. Drake is Huntsman’s son, and he is a CEO is a billion-dollar company, as well as being an MC member, and he splits his time between the two. Cassidy is strong, fun, witty, resilient, and a survivor, who has escaped from an abusive ex, and she is loving the love she now has. When Drake and Cassidy meet in a bar, the tabloids put an end to her peaceful life, and her past is back to haunt her. The chemistry between these two is combustible and undeniable. This is a well written emotional roller coaster, which is action packed, and is raw, gritty, and has angst, loyalty, humor, witty banter, family, friendships, drama, suspense, danger, twists, intrigue, tension, and love, which leads to an addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend for all MC lovers.

TW: abusive relationship flashbacks (FMC) and violence against FMC in present (NOT love interest)

First off, again thank you again to to GiveMeBooks PR for this free ARC copy of Innocent. They provided me with books 1 and 2 in this series in preparation for this release, and I was so happy when this one hit my kindle!

Innocent follows Drake, Huntsman’s oldest son, as he navigates finding a balance between his two lives: being a member, and son, in the Exiled Eight MC and being a CEO of a billion dollar company. And we also have Cassidy, a women who is took matters into her own hands to build a better life for herself. They meet at random and from that meeting on, the story takes off. Also, the spice was *chef’s kiss* and probably my favorite out of the three in the series so far.

We have a fake proposal, a growly protective alpha male who falls first, and a fiery heroine who is determined to take her life back when it starts to show up again. I have to say I was worried that the initial meeting between Cassie and Drake would turn into insta-love BUT I was pleasantly surprised how Addison was able to pace the relationship throughout the rest of the book and storyline.

This was another fun and thrilling installment in the Exiled Eight MC series AND there is more to come. If you like MC Romance with a billionaire twist, then I suggest you give this one a try!

Did I drop everything to read on release? Yes, yes I did.

This is the story of Cassidy and Drake, and seriously I couldn't have loved the meet cute between them anymore. It had me laughing and swooning all at the same time.
Drake, the oldest son of Huntsman (club president) is trying to find a balance between the two things he loves most, being a CEO billionaire and a patched member of The Exiled Eight MC.
And...
Cassidy is a fiery and determined woman trying to forget her painful past and live the life she has always wanted. But what will happen when her past demons resurface? Will Drake be able to keep her safe?
What a ride! Innocent may not be a typical MC story, as the club is not the sole story focus. However, they do play important roles throughout. And..... gosh do I love the members of The Exiled Eight MC.

Did I love and devour this addition to the Exiled Eight MC series? I most certainly did.
But.... As I don't want to drop any spoilers all I will say is that this story is riddled with humour, suspense, action, steam, love, family, swoony moments, twists and turns, a little angst and a whole lot of protective alpha-ness.

So grab a spot on the edge of your seat and enjoy the ride!
I can't wait for more of this series!

Innocent is the third title in the Exiled Eight series and features Drake the eldest son of Huntsman.
Drake and Cassidy have and immediate connection that is intense. Their chemistry is undeniable and their story emotional and steamy.
Cassidy is a strong, resilient young woman, who is driven and determined to escape her past. She has a love for flowers and is witty, fun, and passionate.
Drake is and intelligent, protective, and savvy businessman and CEO of a billion-dollar company who is torn between love and loyalty. Whilst he loves his family and is loyal to the Exiled Eight MC, he’s also incredibly passionate about architecture and construction and driven and determined to take his company further.
Their story is engaging from beginning to end with plenty of action and drama and I will be eagerly awaiting the next addition to this captivating series.

This starts off as a classic romcom meet-cute fake-engagement between a Bad Boy Billionaire CEO with a unique edge and backstory and a domestic abuse survivor not a year out of her own private hell but starting to regain her joy for life in finding a passion for floral communication and her own identity as an emissary of the tongue tied.
This isn’t one of the best of its kind -partly due to the overwhelming amount of trope cliches linked to ALL tropes applicable- but it’s far from the worst either.

As an audiobook I’d enjoyed it even more with a different male narrator though. Alexander Cendese has a tendency to read every sentence as if it ends in at least one exclamation mark. His uniquely enthusiastic snark works for some characters but not all, and unfortunately, this was a case of the latter.

Insta Love , MC , Billionaire, off the charts chemistry, dark , raw , gritty, emotionally charged , heartbreaking , fun , sexy , witty , tragic ,non stop action, twists and turns , family , friendships, drama , suspense, danger , love , romance, possessive alphas and kickass heroines , unforgettable and unputdownable. Innocent by Addison Jane is the perfect combination of all of the above and more . I typically don’t read a ton of MC Romances but from the moment I came across Addison Janes ( The Exiled eight ) well to say I am very quickly becoming a huge fan of this trope would definitely be a understatement. Cassidy and Drakes emotional love story was seriously one of the best I’ve read in a very long time

I have been waiting for Drake's story! Addison Jane once again brings her A game! I always know I'm not going to want to put the book down once I start reading.
Drake has always had a hard time letting anyone get close to him. His past and being the CEO to a billion dollar company doesn't make it easy to trust in love. He has been a playboy and I knew it would take a very special woman to turn his head for good. Cassidy is definitely that woman! She has been through her own hell and is strong enough to stand at Drake's side. When her past comes back to get her Drake shows her what a man is supposed to do. I love the chemistry between these characters! I can't wait to read the next Exiled Eight MC book!!

two sides of the same coin

Dynamic characters and dramatic storyline. This book came together from a joke and a little flirting but just built and built. Our hero had two sides but didn’t know how to handle the repercussions of this but that’s where our heroine helps him. Our heroine is fighting a loosing battle and that’s where the hero steps up. This was an amazing story to follow but does have some triggers so read the blur. I think everyone can read as like with the rest of the series it might be set in the MC but it’s not heavy on the MC side. I also think best read in order. Can’t wait for the next book

I loved this story. It’s not a typical MC romance where the focus is on the MC. Instead it’s how the MC is a part of Drake no matter what, how they’re his family but he can spread his wings too. Cassie and Drake are far from innocent when they get together. In fact it’s pretty steamy. Cassie may be struggling coming out of an abusive relationship but she proves just how brave and strong she is in spite of her past. Their banter rivals Dakota and Rip for me and I didn’t think any couple would come close. I can’t wait for more to come in this series.

Drake and Cassidy’s story draws you in from the very first page. The chemistry and connection these characters have is intense and one that you will feel deep under your skin. A story about passion, love, family and friendship. It is action packed, gritty and at times heartbreaking. The emotions that flow throughout their story takes you on one hell of a ride that will at times leave you breathless. A story that wraps itself around you and has you feeling every moment and every word as these two turn something fake into something oh so real.

I’m not sure I have to words to do this book justice. Cassidy is trying to put her life back together after escaping an abusive relationship. Drake is MC royalty and torn between the love of his club and the love of his business. Together they find their way through to their happily ever after, but not without some bumps (or land mines more accurately) along the way. The ending though is what did me in. It was so sweet and I just can’t wait for more.
