First love! Who can forget it, few are lucky to find their love yet many just yearn. Homecoming is a second chance romance and almost a medical romance.
Homecoming is the love story of Krish and Sanaya as they fall in love at first sight. It is the story of young love and quick tempers. How we ourselves become our worse enemy in a fit of anger.
She is a rich, spoilt brat. A typical product of a broken home and he is the son of the house help. Their chemistry is undeniable and the youngsters embark on a love affair knowing that the parents would object.
The problems, however, are self-created as the young lovers find themselves on opposite sides of an argument. The rash decisions and anger fuel their separation even as they wish to be together. Ego adds fuel to fire leading to their breakup.
While Sanaya moves to another country Krish forgets the memories of their time spent together. They are one of the lucky ones as they get a second chance at their first love. When she returns and that’s one of the reasons for the title of the book, the other you have to read and find out. The last thing she expects is to find is love. She is a doctor and her parents want her to help Krish remember while she feels helpless considering she never stopped loving him. What happens next and what role does his fiancé play? You have to read it to find out.
Rubina writes with her heart and her books will touch yours. Each book has a deep message of love and a clash of relations.
Homecoming works as a fast, short read with a rollercoaster of emotions. Young love and angst balanced with reason and wisdom.
This is a quick read that is perfect for an instant dose of romance.
As the title suggests, Homecoming is an easy breezy romance of two teenagers, Sanaya and Krish,, caught up in family issues and fell apart. It took 12years for the mist to settle and the reunion to happen. The story is usual with the fair share of ups and downs in their relationship. The title seems apt as Sanaya returns home after 12 long years and faces the situation head on. The book has a beautiful and refreshing cover depicting the beauty of Sanaya’s hometown. The story flows smoothly with two beautifully portrayed characters Sanaya and Krish. Other characters don’t have much to do and say in the story. The language is simple and comprehensible. The book is a light-hearted, weekend read and will leave you with a smile on your face.
A sweet story of a girl coming home to her family. The plot is simple and the story flows effortlessly. The characters are realistic and relatable. Many emotions have been described in the book. I loved the story and enjoyed it immensely and finished it in one sitting. Will there be a sequel, Minx’s story?
A short sweet entertaining love story filled with emotions of love, heartbreak and second chances. Amidst all these the author has tried to challenge so many stereotypes. Kudos to the author
Homecoming is a sweet cozy contemporary novel that follows Sanya and Krish who were once deeply in love with each other but something happened and they drifted apart. My review :
The beginning was very nice and It made me curious to know more about Sanaya's story.
Narration was up to the point. Language is easily understandable.
Sanaya's past and her present life is narrated very well.
Title is apt. Cover was very beautiful. The story is set in Kerala. Author has described the beauty of Kerala very well.
I liked the story. The concept was something new.
It is not a typical love story. But has more to it.
I missed Rubina being absent of the writing scene for a while and now, with this new book she showed once again her quality as a writer. A beautiful and unputdownable book. By my rating scale this book deserves a 7/10.
This book is very beautiful and story is so intriguing.it is very intresting read which took you to joyride of Kerala. Some scenes are written very beautifully and I liked them. One day his father married to Tina, Shayna doesn't like all this and go abroad. When she returned there are lot of things that she got to know and met Krish. Very simple story written with so precision that you gonna love it. The Story… When two souls are given a second chance they must walk on the path of denial and pain. Meet Sanaya and Krish in Homecoming. Who says love is without complications? Especially when the one you love so deeply suddenly becomes a part of your family in a way you had not even dreamt of.
If you like reading romance books than I guess you will like it. There is nothing unusual in this book but reading about love makes you go with the flow, atleast for me it does. Sanaya and Krish are madly in love with each other but what happens that makes Sanaya go away and return only after 12 years. Thus the name of the book. I liked the pace of the story but could have worked on cover a bit more. Nonetheless romance readers will like it. 3.5🌟
Homecoming is a sweet love story with complications but ending happily. Story is interesting and entertaining till the end, written in simple language. It's about Sanaya coming back home after 12 years to make peace with her father, step mother and inturn gets back her love Krish. All the other characters revolve around these two characters. Why she left home, her troubled relationship with her dad, why she came back, what happened in past, how she fell in love, how she lost her love by fates play and how she gets back her love again? To know answers to all these questions read the book and enjoy. A big thanks to "My Secret Bookshelf" for recommending such a nice book and thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
Pros: Narration style is good. Characters look real and easily relatable
Would recommend to all readers who love reading love stories.
Homecoming is another fast-paced romance plus little mystery with a bold and different storyline by well-known author Rubina Ramesh.
Homecoming is the story of Sanaya and Krish. More than the romance and suspense, the point which the author wants to put through is how we react to any situation at that particular moment. Many a time, we analyze a situation and come to a conclusion without knowing the real facts, whereas, in reality, the truth/facts might be totally different from what we have deduced, because, most of the time we react in heat of the moment and we are so blind in anger that we are unable to see the truth.
The author has nicely depicted this instance through the story of Sanaya in Homecoming. Though I thoroughly enjoyed reading this bold love story, I was dejected by the climax of the story which, after so much ups and downs of suspense seemed abrupt.
Other than that Homecoming is definitely a must read.
The storyline is written well while keeping the reader on edge with just the right amount of apprehension as Sanaya fights with her past while ironing out her present with Krish to a happily ever after!
So, I picked 'Homecoming' one fine day when I was travelling a long journey, and it made my lomg journey look shorter. Yes, it is gripping love story.
The author has broken a stereotype in relations which might not look right to a few. But I enjoyed it.
Sanaya was called back home from another country by her step mom. When she reached back, her world is shattered to know her ex has forgotten her completely and is going to marry someone else. What happenes next? Read it and know.
The story is great with a few nice twists. Short enough to complete in one sitting but packed with right emotions and characters who change and grow.

Brief Review: Talking about the title of the book it is perfect for the story as Sanaya is coming back to her home after 12 years. The cover of the book is ok, I think it could be better. The language used throughout the book was very easy and you will never find difficulty while reading it. The whole book has two timelines and the author had managed it so well. The narration was quite interesting and smooth with the well-crafted flow throughout the story. The book was actually medium to fast pace I must say. The story is not so new it is just like any other typical Indian romance/love book. Each character in the book is strongly built. This book is full of emotions I must say. It is a short romantic story which can be completed in one sitting. You will never be bored throughout the story because the story will make you imagine the beautiful world around you. Just as the saying goes, "Love always wins"! same is the case with this book the climax of the book cannot be more perfect than this.
Homecoming is a short adult romance read. It was a breeze to read through. The book being the length it was and the quick turn of events made the book more enjoyable. I didn't actually care much about either of the leads. The female lead - Sanaya is not only selfish but lacks empathy toward other characters unless it benefits her. Scratch that, she just lacks the empathy that you have by default for people you love, point blank period.
Her behavior, though she always tries to justify it or is self-aware about her insensitivity toward every person's feelings, still makes me dislike her as a person. I wanted to like her but blaming her behavior on everyone while doing nothing to change it is the kind of bullshit that makes people dislikable.
The male lead - Krish existed because the story needed him. He wasn’t why the story existed, the story was why he was included, does that make sense? As if his purpose was to move the story forward and give Sanaya something to react to. Other than that, I didn't see any part of his personality that made him feel like a character who was actually going through turmoil. His actions aren't justified, there is no rhyme or reason to most of the things he does.
The major things he did that drove the story forward made no sense whatsoever. He kisses the daughter of his employer on his first day. It's like he knew he was the main lead in this novel so him doing this was perfectly okay. The thing that irked me the most was that he knew that his mom was going to marry Sanaya's dad, he knew all along that they were going to be step-siblings soon and still chose to kiss her the first day he met her.
Not only that, they lose virginity to each other, after Sanaya acts like a complete bitch by insulting him and his mother in front of their friends. Krish just forgives her. Like what?
Later, Sanaya's dad springs the news on Sanaya about him and Krish's mom. Her being pissed is justified because nobody told her. Her dad chose to declare it in front of everyone rather than talking to her in person knowing she overreacts over everything. Krish who knew everything and complicated the relationship by getting into one with Sanaya had the audacity to be pissed with her and slap her when she was rightful distraught.
When he wanted to sleep with her, her actually using disrespectful words about his mom was okay. She didn't even have that good of a reason then. She was jealous of some girl and acted out. Yet, that was okay. Here she has a genuine reason, she isn't as disrespectful as she was earlier, yet he acts like a jackass and hits her in front of her dad. Like what?
Later she moves away, has commitment issues, loses touch with family. When she returns she is told about Krish losing his memory and she finds out he is engaged. And the scenes after that follow the same pattern. Sanaya is still better developed as a character than Krish is. Krish's character falls flat, he does everything that the guys do in books like this but still, it doesn't sit well. We are never told why he didn't tell Sanaya about their parents and started a relationship or why he was on the highway. He loved her so he was on the highway - super vague. Sanaya doesn’t want those answers after years of pain, she just wants him back. Totally makes sense. *facepalm*
Even after all of this, I enjoyed reading it. The author mentions that she wanted to write erotica but couldn't ever find the right words so she settled for writing romance, because of that I wasn't expecting the detailed sex scenes. I think she definitely can write erotica if she ever decides to.
One more thing that bothered me was that this book had numerous beta readers and proofreaders yet something as basic as the lead character's surname being spelled differently throughout the book missed everyone's attention. Some places it is "Verma" and some places "Varma."
Overall, I will recommend reading this when you are bored and want to read something that has a fast pace and is just pure daily soap entertainment.
Have you ever been in the position where you have buried your past to start a new life? But, every minute feels dreadful? Reminding, the one person you want to forget so badly?
Sanaya, a career freaky psychological doctor hides her past behind her career, pushing herself with more work to keep her more occupied.
But, will one call from her dad saying her mom is sick, after twelve years, will revert her life back to the past? Yes, it does. She has to go back to the place where she had left everything. Her life, Her Love. But a bitter truth awaits her arrival. Krish, the love of her life, the son of her step mom, because of whom she left her home, doesn’t even remember her. She understands the truth of his accident after she left and that a part of his memory where she belonged has been wiped off. Her mom explains her that she will not be opposing their relationship as they are not blood related and she wants her son to have a fair chance in the decision he make out of his life as he is already engaged with a girl he doesn’t even love.
Will she be able to bring back his memory? Will she be able t0 make him understand their past? Will she connect the missing pieces in his life?
Read this amazing short romance to know the story of Sanaya and Krish.
I am compelled to compare the writing style to the god of romance Nicholas Sparks. I thoroughly loved this book ♥️
The story starts with Sanaya getting a call from her father after 11 years asking her to come back home else her foster mother... With bitter memories and a thumping heart, she makes her way back home To Kerala from United States , unsure what to expect amd the ghosts of the past tormenting her
The reunion scene is beautiful, until in enters Krish , son of her home maid Tina and her sweetheart from young times ..
From there things quickly take a spiral, as Sanaya tries very hard to stick to her profession as a Physiologist and avoiding letting her feelings show for Krish as he is about to marry another girl Will the love in the hearts win or will Sanaya lose all her loved once more , grab your copy now to find out Kudos to the author on writing this gem of a book 📚

My review: A short romantic story which can be completed in one sitting. Language is easy. Author has written in two different timelines which sometimes cinfuses the readers but in this book it went smoothly. The story flows while the protagonist deals with issues from her past and tries to deal with the love of her life forgetting her In an amicable manner. This book is short and sweet.
This was such a cute little love story. The writing style was so easy and breezy. The characters were very strong and well developed. I loved stories about re-discovering love or remembering a lost love and so on and it was a delight to read this book!
The title can be a little misleading but it's pretty apt once you're done reading the book.
The story development is kind of wonky. It continuously moves from the past to the present time. And the MC is very egoistic and acts extremely privileged by putting others down. Whoch was an extreme minus point for me. You can call her spoiled. All the other characters were pretty nice and kind of tried to put up with the MC.
Moving on to tthe story it's a pretty cliché story and has a very common storyline as many romaromance books have. So romance buffs you surely will enjoy this one. I'd say it's a one time read and can be finished within an hour or so. A very very light read.
Review: Homecoming shares one such tryst with destiny.Sanaya and Krish, meet, fall in love and dream of their happily ever after when something unexpected happen which throws their life, dreams out of gear. Cut to the present when Sanaya is a successsful pyschatrist, who has to come back to make peace with the past, her family her dad, step mom and sister with whom she severed her ties and went to US. She comes face to face with the person whom she loved all her life Krish, but the shock comes when he refuses to recognise her. He suffers from partial memory loss. How would she cope up with this? Will he regain his memory? How does Sanya and Krish handle the complexities of their relationship? Read the book to find out. The narration is simple and beautiful. The suspense is well built and maintained till the end. The author has handled the complications of the relationships well and also balanced them with breaking of stereo types. A commendable job. I would rate this 4/5 for the bold story telling style.
[REVIEW] Homecoming By Rubina Ramesh Homecoming is a short and sweet romantic story. Contemporary novels are always welcome. I love reading contemporary and it even helps me get out of reading slumps. This book is a great mix of love and heartbreak. It follows Sanya and Krish, who were crazy in love with each other. But due to some circumstances they grew apart. Time goes by and when Sanya returns home, she finds out that Krish lost his memory. He lost his memory and doesn’t remember her or what they had! It is a really good book. It has all the ingredients of a good contemporary book. You will feel the love, loss and heartbreak. Well written and simple language. Very intriguing narration. The cover could have been better. Overall, I rated this book a 4/5 🌟 and is recommended.
Written in first person (that struck me especially since I haven’t dared to write any book in first person), Homecoming is one more winner from Rubina’s pen. It is the story of Sanaya, a successful psychiatrist practicing in the US and Krish, a self-made man settled in Kerala. They used to be crazy about one another, until destiny throws them apart. When fate hands them a second chance, will they grab at it? The emotions are raw and well-etched by the author, the romance tugs the reader’s heart. A must read for romance lovers.
Life is unpredictable . You never know what is coming next and it's changes in a blink of eye. Homecoming by Rubina Ramesh is a short romantic novel. It's a fast paced a d heart warming storyline. The title simply reflects the story. The story is of sanaya and krish. Sanaya staying away alone far from india for 12years. A simple call from his father took her back to home and when she back , she finds her love has lost memories. What makes sanaya to leave his home ?
To know more grab this beautiful copy. The story depicts emotions, pain , love, regret and many more . The author enfolds the story perfectly. The climax is interesting and the cover is refreshing too. It's a good read for me.
Homecoming by Rubina Ramesh is an amazing love story of a girl who lived away from her home for 12 years and now want to go back home. Story is uncommon with great narration. Reader floats easily between two different times. All the emotions are so beautifully depicted that reader feels them as part of own life. If anyone wants to read a good love story with amazing plot and beautiful show of human emotions one must read this. At some point it made me smile and at some shade tears. For me an amazing read.
Homecoming by Rubina Ramesh The author tells us about Sanaya a rich spoilt brat and Krish a self made man. They meet at the tender age of seventeen and fall in love. But something happens that drives them away and Sanaya leaves the country. 12 years later she returns to her homeland and runs into Krish who has lost his memory. Will they able to catch up on the lost time or will thier love remain lost forever? The plot is short and jumps between 2 time lines. The writing is goof and engaging. The characters are relatable. The book keeps you engaged and ends with a good climax. I however found the jumping between the 2 timeslines a little abrupt and confusing. Overall a good romance book to read.
