Solomon Grundy. Victor Zsasz. Madame Crow. Copperhead. No, these are not this year’s nominees for sexiest maniac alive…they are the new recruits for Task Force Z! What does this mean for Red Hood and Bane? Will Mr. Bloom’s Lazarus Resin heist spell certain doom for the Resurrection Twins? How many rhetorical questions can I possibly squeeze into one paragraph’s worth of copy? 1) A lot. 2) Yes. 3) Three.

"I haven’t always been a writer. My parents are writers and my brother is a writer, and I resisted that as long as I could. When I was 17, I hopped in a band’s van and I went on tour for a summer, and that was it, that was what I wanted to do. I ran a record label for 10 years, a small indie punk label. I did everything in music that you can do that doesn’t involve having musical ability. Eventually the music business, probably in a similar way to comics, will just start to break your heart, and I realized one day that I kind of hated music. I was resigned to thinking, if I’m going to be involved in music forever, I’m going to hate it for the rest of my life. I just stopped. I stopped having any sort of business with music, any involvement.
I read comics my whole life, so I just naturally fell back into another medium that is marginalized and hard to make a living in."
I've been enjoying this series for how bat-shit crazy it's been, but this issue just kinda goes round in circles and gets us back to square one again, in a really meh, boring, kinda way. It's almost like there's no real end-game to the story, so it’s just stretched out to make the series last longer.
I liked this issue. It pushes the story forward really well, and it leads to yet another great ending that makes me want to know what happens next. I'm really curious about how this will all come together now that there are only a few issues left.
Also, the whole 'Jason Todd naked' scene comes back and his nightmares are just... rough. Especially the whole feeling like a child in a man's body, that's a whole mood right there.
