The visit to Teira brought more questions than answers for Asterios and his companions. But, the things they discovered provided them with a strong lead. In its pursuit, they headed towards the Demon Continent, visiting Grea and Tina on their way to the coast. Receiving a request from Guildmaster Suanori to take a look at the port town Nebula during their departure, Ast's party arrived right in front of it just to notice something unusual from the distance...
Asterios and his friends might learn that Guildmaster Suanori's worry isn't completely unfounded as they dive straight into a conflict none of them could have expected. Will they be able to push through all of their issues and reach their final destination safely? Will they require the help of a new summon, or someone even more powerful to solve them? What even is the nature of the conflict troubling Nebula?
They are soon going to see for themselves.
This story includes: Mystery of the past looming in the background. Sudden strength gain with progressive development. Mild romance with a shy but strong girl, a mischievous refined lady, and a very determined colleague. Caring and devoted protagonist, albeit serious and decisive when confronted. Slowly developing unconventional relationships. Chill and quite relaxed adventure story with a pinch of unabridged intimate situations.
Not a bad read, but I was a bit disappointed with the first half of the book, which seemed to be mostly a procession of monsters and how to kill them. The second half was more interesting and the fights were interspersed with a range of other interactions.
Introduction: Greetings, fellow readers. I am Kiba Snowpaw, an Alpha Male Ice Wolf from the icy realms of HowlStrom. With over 36 years of experience in the world of gaming and literature, I bring forth my review of "Rise of the Weakest Summoner: Volume IV" by J.R. Saileri. As the snow blankets my homeland, I find solace in the tales of adventure, drama, and action. This particular volume resonated with my icy heart, and I am here to share my thoughts.
Basic Plot Summary: Asterios and his companions, after their intriguing visit to Teira, embark on a journey towards the Demon Continent. Their path is fraught with challenges, especially when they reach the port town of Nebula. The looming mystery of the past, the sudden surge in strength, and the intricate relationships make this a tale worth diving into.
Analysis/Evaluation: The narrative is a blend of drama, action, and furry-style adventure. The author masterfully intertwines the elements of mystery, romance, and camaraderie. The progression of the story is well-paced, with each chapter revealing a new layer of the plot.
Characters:
Asterios: A caring and devoted protagonist. His character development is commendable, and his interactions with his companions add depth to the narrative. Guildmaster Suanori: A character shrouded in mystery. Her request sets the stage for the unfolding drama in Nebula. Grea and Tina: Their roles, though brief, are crucial in guiding Asterios and his team.
Structure: The book is structured in a way that keeps the reader engaged. The transitions between chapters are smooth, and the build-up to the climax is well-executed.
Impact: The tale left a profound impact on me. The struggles of the characters, their determination, and the underlying mysteries resonated with my own experiences in HowlStrom.
Hook and Thesis: The visit to Teira and the subsequent journey to the Demon Continent serves as a perfect hook. The thesis revolves around the challenges faced by Asterios and his team and their quest for answers.
Praise and Critique: The author deserves praise for crafting a world that is both intriguing and relatable. The character development, especially that of Asterios, is commendable. However, I felt that certain parts of the narrative could have delved deeper into the backstories of the supporting characters.
Evaluation: Overall, "Rise of the Weakest Summoner: Volume IV" is a masterpiece. It offers a perfect blend of drama, action, and emotion. The furry elements in the story added a unique touch, making it a must-read for enthusiasts like me.
Comparison: While the book stands tall on its own, it does remind me of some classic furry tales from my homeland. The blend of adventure and emotion is reminiscent of the legends of HowlStrom.
Conclusion: In conclusion, "Rise of the Weakest Summoner: Volume IV" is a gem in the world of literature. It offers a roller-coaster of emotions, action, and drama. As I retreat to my icy abode in HowlStrom, I carry with me the memories of Asterios and his adventures. I eagerly await the next volume and hope to see more of J.R. Saileri's brilliance.
May the icy winds of HowlStrom guide you on your literary journey. Kiba Snowpaw, Alpha of HowlStrom
Saileri is a pure master of stories! This series keeps getting better and better. It already started off as a 10 yet somehow reached a 15 in my opinion. I love Asterios as a main character. He’s super OP but he still has flaws and weaknesses. He still has to rely on his companions to get things done, even though he’s not a slouch by himself he’s the total package with his mates and Umbra at his side. I cannot wait for the next book. The cover alone seems insane and I can only imagine if that comes from the blood 🩸 summons? If so what does that also say about his bloodline and heritage? Could it be wrong about who his mother is? We kinda figured that what he has running in his blood 🐉 but if that shows up too? My oh my the mystery just goes so deep. I can read so much more of this series. One thing though, I MUST mention… I do think Saileri reads the reviews like he said…maybe he doesn’t but the one thing I find hilarious is the protection spell always differs… stone skin, steel skin, iron skin…. NOW, unless he’s actually using different spells okay then the folly is on my part but since it’s not differentiated I would assume (I know what they say about assumptions 😂🤣) it’s the same spell and he’s just not noticing it while in his writers flow. Who knows? Also, Grea 😂🤣… Saileri’s humor is funny. I laugh so much in this series. Also, Silvia will totally be joining the harem. I can see this and so can her “daddy” 😘. I’m curious if Suanori will fall to the harem 🤔🤫. She’d make such a good catch and valuable member of the team. Onward lads!
At my request I received a copy of this audiobook in order to give a fair and unbiased review
Genre: Fantasy harem summoner OP MC
Power dynamics in harem: Girls adore and serve the MC their summoner Explicit/adult material: Explicit.
Summary: Asterios are heading to the deamon continent, but have to take some time to help people in need along the way. Time to clear a dungeon.
Narrators Voice diversity: Very well done. Characters voices have their personality shine through. Pacing and intonation: Well done. The action, the romance and the explicit scenes are all told in a way that keeps the listener engaged and brings the world alive. Sex scenes: Very well done. Overall: 5 / 5 stars.
The book’s strengths. - The writing is fun and the world is deep. - Once again the group is not fighting alone but has some temporary allies at their side. This time an old friend and it is fun to see how she fits into the group dynamics. - The girls are interesting and cute. And I love Umbrah and his role in the group - The narration. It is really great.
The book’s weaknesses. - Maybe the power creep? The MC is getting OP and fast. But it works for me.
Overall: 5/5 stars One of the best harem series I have read, and this book is no different
More adventures seem to find him at helps him to expand his skills an strengthens him physically .
Asterios an his companions continue to search for answers to the origin of his birth parents an whether they are alive or not is yet to be found out . He is officially welcomed into his mother's family by his grandfather an sworn by oath to protect the family honor for which it stands for . Asterios an his companions lift a curse off from the village that he was rescued an found from when be was an infant . Then he an his companions are sent on a mission by the adventure guild to investigate an monster infestation on a neighboring port city . recommend reading excellent series .
It seems like Ast’s harem is slowly growing with several females hinted at possible additions as he makes his way slowly towards understanding who he is, as well as the Demon Continent. He is getting more powerful, as well as his companions/summons. Several battles ensure the reader gets some dramatic action, a sex scene chapter which I decided to skip this time as I wanted to get further into the story. Really enjoying this series and starting to worry about catching up to the author, as its good as a binge read, and I often find myself dropping series after waiting ‘for the next book to release’.
At first I was a little disappointed by the double sidetrack of the MC's voyage, but after getting into each minor sub-story i found myself very much enjoying the turn of events. Sailed has not disappointed with the length of this volume either. It is very subtle but noticeable that at, I believe, chapter 21 this volume could and may have even been planned to be split into two. As I have stated in other reviews Saileri has found the perfect length(approx. 600 pages on my kindle fire hd 8) for this genre of books.
The MC finds out more about his heritage or rather his bloodline. Of course this occurs during battles while fighting for their lives. On the relationship front, Miria and Selene are getting more comfortable, and not just at full moons. Tina will graduate soon and there also are hints of interest from 2 more ladies. The group also gains the attention of royalty as valued allies in not one but two realms. The MC is not just, no longer the weakest summoner but the most powerful.
There's a certain amount of over explanation and what I think some would refer to as mansplaining about specific facts about dungeons and how things work, also about simple feelings that most authors are able to portray by the language that they use that projects a certain intonation so it doesn't need the explanation. Plus the perfect perfectness of the main character is a little sickening at times. He's the strongest he's the best he's the smartest he's the most noble almost makes you want to gag sometimes.
It was exciting to have the additional of international political forces coming into the series this volume. The new characters joining this story were vivid and original so as not to feel empty or bland. I’m voracious in reading each volume in this series, which is as good a sign as any that it has me hooked and I need to know what happens next.
A bit more intimate and steamy content in this one; some of it slightly tamer than previous volumes but most of it at the same level, which I’ve touched on in prior reviews.
Book one and two provided a solid set up. Book three provided a direction. I expected book four to fill out that direction, it did not. It seems more fluff and filler to placate till a proper story is continued in book five. Since I already see it as pending, I am quite disappointed in this installment.
The series is still a great read. I enjoyed this episoded. Love the growth of the MC and His partners. I really appreciate the author separating the sexy time into separate chapters so they can be read optionally. I find my mood berries so it's good to skip by sometimes or enjoy others. Off to get the next book.
Ast is becoming the Strongest Summoner. Even the guilds strongest are much weaker then him. Between the dungeon dive and the evil cult, his team still kick asses.
The entire story is full of fights and sex, then more battles and more sex, its all fun.
The weakest -> the overpowered! Ast is a joy to read and this volume has plenty of good action and was hard to put down. Gonna read the next one as soon as it comes out!
I quickly fell I've with this series it's by far one of my favorites and I can't get enough when I start reading it it always ends so quickly it seems cuz I fly right through them
This series just continues to impress me!!! A wonderful story of an uniquely entertaining world!!! I for one can't wait to see what happens next to this wonderful family of adventures!!!
The story has been entertaining and the character development has kept me waiting to see what happens next. The world building has been ok but I would like to have more time spent on how the party is interacting with other people.
I’m really enjoying this series… This one has a lot more detail in the fighting… Which I could take or leave… but the storyline is still interesting and developing. I’m excited to start volume five.
Last and his lovely ladies thought they were in for a nice trip to a new continent but fate had other plans. He says he doesn't want to.be a hero but he just keeps being one.
As always I rate books by how much I enjoy them. Even though I have spent a lot of time lately reading HaremLit and while I thought I had a favorite author chosen. This series is seriously making me reconsider that. The characters in this series are fantastic.
So far the books are exponentially better than the previous ones. The plots ans subplots are getting more and more interesting and complex. New characters are pretty cool and bad ass. Shaping up quite nicely. Will continue to read!
