When danger comes knocking, Blade is the only one who can keep me safe.
I knew I’d pay for helping the Slayers rescue my best friend from a mobbed-up marriage.
Now – I find myself trapped in exactly the same situation.
My father is furious and trying to leverage me into joining the family trade in order to prove my loyalty.

When I think things can’t get worse, one of the Slayers, Blade, shows up claiming to be my self-appointed savior. Entrusting my life to a stranger when the stakes are high is a bad idea, no matter how hot he is.
I know I should turn my back on him and protect my heart.
And when my family finds out he is a Slayer and kidnaps him, I wish I had.
Instead, I’m forced into honey-trapping him.

Blade wants me, and my brothers want information about his MC.
The choice is either I seduce the information out of him or stand by and watch my family beat it out of him.

As I nurse his wounds and seduce him to trust me with his secrets, we are getting alarmingly close.
His rolling inked muscles, his captivating smirk, his dangerously intoxicating scent -- everything about him is irresistible – and soon, I’m falling for him for real.

So when my father decides Blade’s time is up, I have to finally pick sides. But will Blade trust me enough to help him escape?
And what will happen after he reveals another secret I’m carrying?

"Blade" is the 9th book in the "Dark Slayers MC” hot and alluring romance series featuring bikers who will remind you why you like the bad boys so much. They’re protective, rough, and running on pure diesel and adrenaline.
Each book in the series is a standalone with a guaranteed happily ever after for the couple, though it is recommended to read them in order for maximum enjoyment.

The MC and The Mob

Sophia came from a mob family but really had no idea the kind of men that her father and brothers were. She was about to find out pretty quickly after she helped Ella escape an arranged marriage only to end being married to Thor who was a member of the Death Slayers MC. Thor had asked his best friend, Blade, if he could go to check on Sophia to make sure she was ok after going against her family.

Blade was more than up for that job because they met when they both worked on getting Ella free of the mob. Now he was getting a glimpse of what kind of life that Sophia was living and he felt he needed to keep an eye on her making sure she was ok.

These two fell for each other but with that came Blade being captured and held hostage at Sophia’s family’s lake house. Things were spiraling quickly out of control for Blade especially with her father coming to extract information from Blade about the Death Slayers MC.

There were many twists and turns in this book that made it a real page turner. I couldn’t wait to see if Sophia and Blade would get their HEA. Well done and I can’t wait for the next book in this series since I have fallen in love with it.

I was pleasantly surprised with the storyline in Blade, it was complex, and though continued the main arc of the series, was unique and made me appreciate some of the characters more. I say some because the rest of the characters you just shake your head at. And Dusty has become a firmly set character that proves you are reading a Dark Slayers novel!.

This is the ninth book in the Dark Slayers MC series and it's another steamy one. It starts out with Blade reflecting on the fact that the Dark Slayers have so far thwarted Don Diavonte's attempts to take over Griffinsford when he gets a phone call from Thor who asks him to go back to LA to make sure his wife's, Ella's, best friend is all right after helping Ella escape from her arranged mafia marriage. Thor explains to him that it'd be a solo mission because Storm won't approve a team to go on this mission. Blade agrees to go check on her, especially since he found out she was twenty-one and not the teenager he thought she was. Now he doesn't have to feel disgusted with himself for lusting after her. He gets to LA and sets up shop across the street from where she lives. He begins to notice that she never goes anywhere anymore. Occasionally she steps out into the courtyard behind her building and that's as far as she goes. He sends for some surveillance equipment from the Dark Slayers so he can get more of a feel for what's going on with her and how much trouble she's in for helping her friend escape. Celt arrives with some electronic listening devices and they walk over to her residence to place them around the property. They round the corner and see Sophia with her dad and brothers waiting outside for a luxury car to pick them up. Sophia's mom joins them and they get into the car but not before Sophia sees Blade and her eyes widen with recognition, a gasp also escapes her mouth. She is grilled the minute they're all in the car about who those guys were walking around their building. She quickly lies to her family saying that she has no idea who those two guys were. Later, Blade hears a conversation, through a bug he planted, between Sophia and her little sister, Ashley, who she's trying to placate because she's upset about the reason her parents don't love her and have sent her away to boarding school. It seems that Ashley is supposedly the result from an extramarital affair Sophia's mother had. Blade is upset over this and is outside his hideout on the back patio pacing out his aggression about the situation. He hears a voice talking to him that he identifies it as Sophia's. He grabs her arm and drags her up to his apartment where he confronts her about her parents grounding her, her father and brothers dressing like vampires and finally her parents shuffling off her mother's affair baby to boarding school. She quickly puts him in his place and wants to know why he is there spying on her. He explains to her that Ella, her best friend who she helped escape the clutches of the mafia, was worried about the repercussions of her doing that so she asked Blade to check on her. She tells him thanks and that he xan go back and tell her that she's okay. He offers her his phone so she can call Ella and tell her that herself. She explains to Ella that her dad is really mad at her for helping Ella. Ella asks her to come stay with her because she's really worried about her. Sophia explains that she can't and won't leave Ashley because she's her defacto parent. All they'd have to do was do something to Ashley to get back at her and she'd never forgive herself if that happened. Ella and Thor offer to take both of them in and she refuses saying that she can't uproot her sister like that. Thor then says that Storm is not going to allow Blade to stay there indefinitely and once he goes she's going to be at the mercy of her parents. She tells them she hopes her parents still have a shred of human compassion left in them because that's the only thing standing between her and a bad outcome. She says that maybe in a few years after Ashley graduates then they can leave together, if her parents don't leverage her into picking a nice mobster husband since it's what they've been pushing for the last few months. Sophia and Ella say their goodbyes. Sophia breaks down crying and Blade pulls her into his arms to comfort her. They end up sitting on his couch where Blade wants to talk about what's going on with her family and devise a game plan. She doesn't want to talk about it any so she kisses him. He figures she did that to distract him and he calls her on it. Here's where things heat up and it's also where I'll leave you. You'll have to get the book to find out what happens next. Let's just say that it's a lot of toe curling steam ahead as well as some gut wrenching situations. Especially since Blade is found out and taken captive by none other then Sophia's three mob affiliated brothers who want a bigger role in Don Diavonte's mob. I can most certainly and without any doubt highly recommend this book. It's got passion, thrills and loveable heros in the strangest places, mainly a motorcycle club. These men are gritty, dirty talking alphas who will protect their women with their lives. It one sexy thrill ride after another with this entire series. I love this entire series and you can't go wrong by getting any one of these books or all of them for that matter; you will definitely not regret it. Kudos to Aria Ray for another five star one for the series!.

This series just gets better and better! This is the story of Blade and Sophia. Sophia is a friend of Ella’s (Thor’s old lady) who helped her escape from being made to marry the nephew of Don Diavonte. Sophia comes from a mob family as well, only she doesn’t realize just how far into the mob her family is. She has been naive to everything. Because Ella was worried about Sophia, Thor asked Blade to keep an eye her and make sure she wasn’t in any danger. Blade was all in once he realized she wasn’t a young 18/19-year-old!

Things heat up between Blade and Sophia, but when Blade thinks Sophia has turned on him, he lands up a prisoner. Sophia’s brothers try to get Sophia to seduce Blade to give out all the secrets of the Slayers so they can hand it over to Don Diavonte. Will Sophia be able to get those secrets out of Blade, or is he on to them?

Secrets, betrayal, violence, and a few twists will have you in suspense as things play out. I have to say that Sophia and Blade make a good pair and only better each other. The way they navigate through everything that is thrown at them, made me love this story even more. I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book!

Sophia knew when she helped Ella escape from the arranged married to the mob boss’ nephew she would be in trouble, she just did not know how much. She is basically under house arrest, having to listen to her father nightly yelling at her.

Thor asks Blade to check on Ella’s friend Sophia as she is concerned what will happen to her. Blade cannot help being attracted to Sophia. When her brothers jump him and chain him in the basement out in the country, he does not know if Sophie sold him out. Next thing he knows she is trying to seduce him into telling him information. What is going to stop her from falling for this man?

While this book is a standalone, I recommend starting from the beginning each book follows a series of events in order. There are some dark and twisted moments but not overly so.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. I have been reading the Dark Slayers MC series and now this is Blade's story. He and Sophia are brought together because she helped her friend Ella escape a horrible man. He is there to check up on her and see what he can learn. There is a connection between them from the start but it's a rocky road to a have a future together. The more Sophia learns of her family, her worry grows.
She wishes there was a way out for her and her sister. Blade is going to be put in the middle and the club in a spin. There is danger, conflict, betrayal, distrust, family, brotherhood, determination, acceptance, passion and love. Another good addition to the series.

So honestly i struggled with this book at the beginning. I didn't really take to blade and i couldnt see whether his love and passion was going to shine through for Sophia. Then came the shift and i wasnt sure sophia was truly into blade until the stealing of the car as we will call it. We moved then to the freedom for both parties and i started to see what i wanted to see all along. Now then ... the father ...not my cup of tea at all. An absolute waste of a human being if you ask me. Did we get what we wanted at the end? Absolutely!!! The shift in power won me over and i found myself not wanting this book to end ever because i wanted it to go on and on and on. Once again 10/10 ... outstanding read!!!

Bad boy biker meets naive young woman and falls in love with her. Blade can't believe his luck that a sheltered, young virgin wants to sleep with him. After giving herself to him, he gets caught by her three brothers. They beat him and imprison him and chain him in the basement. Blade believes that Sophia betrayed him to her brothers. She is so naive that she didn't know that her family was in the mob. She helped her friend Ella run away from home and an arranged mafia marriage. This is a very interesting story, it follows the Dark Slayers MC, and the women that each of the members fall for. This series is a great read, if you like MC's this series is full of love, mystery, and intrigue also plenty of action. Please start with the first book in the series, Storm

Another great addition to the series as Sophia is trying to move forward from helping her friend escape successfully, Sophia’s mafia family has been giving her a hard time for her hand in it. Blade is sent to check on Sophia but is stuck in a situation that gets him captured by Sophia’s family to be tortured. The relationship between these two gets raveled up in a ton of drama between the family and mc. Secrets come out and twists kept me on my toes. A good read to see how Blade and Sophia navigate through all the problems that keep building up.

enjoyable but different

I enjoyed this book and really like this series.

I found this book to be a little more of a departure from the norm and a lot of the book centered around events well outside of the mc, though they did focus on Blade and Sophie.

Mildly disturbing in places ( her brothers!!) I felt there was another storyline brewing here and so wouldn’t be surprised if there was a mafia spin off coming

Enjoyable, and when back in the mc towards the end it contained all the familiar characters interactions you expect from this series.

3 1/2 Stars...Although this book started slowly and is not one of my favorites in this series, it is a solid addition. Sent to check on Sophia's wellbeing, Blade is captured and her family hopes they will get information about his MC. Sophia and Blade get close during him being held and when her father decides he's served his purpose, will she be able to save him. The book is full of steam, action, twists, turns, brutality, deception, and more. Fortunately, the entire Dark Slayer MC series is available to read for free with your KU subscription. You can binge read the series,.

The first half of this book is a slow, drawn out affair. Sophia was a strong, independent woman in Thor, book 8, where she helped her friend escape and arranged marriage. Then in this book she turns into a noodle that her family pushes around. Blade is a decent guy and tries to help her out and is a bit too forgiving. I am interested to see how the dynamic between the Dark Slayers and Sophia's mafia family plays out.

This is another great story about the Dark Slayers MC. Blade has been sent to check on Sophia since she helped Ella escape her arranged marriage. Sofia is basically told to seduce Blade and find out his secrets after he's captured and put in the basement at Sophia's house. With the time they spend together they get really close. Will she save Blade when the time comes? Will she turn on her family? Love the HEA between Blade and Sophia.

Wow so much going on in this book. Spying, double crosses that aren't always what they seem, MC clubs, mafia, and just plenty of action. Sophia helps Ella escape a mob marriage. Now the MC wants Sophia protected. When Blade is the man to do that. Sophia's family wants information and they kidnap Blade and now Sophia has to make a choice on which side is she on. This is just a great story, with plenty going on to keep you interested.

good stories but I got a couple issues

Good stories with minor continuity issues .. and 5 out of 9 books . I have so far read, all have heroines that do things, that make them 2S2L just a heads up. I screamed at them . So apparently the author likes dumb girls who believe their individuality and headstrong independence is far more important than their lives or safety . Putting the men who live themselves and families at risk. Grrrr me personally I don’t like those ‘types”. But if you don’t mind. Great stories.

I wasn't sure I would like Blade but he turned out to be a great hero. His care and attitude around Sophia was wonderful and they were great together. I was a little surprised that Sophia wasn't as aware of her family and their connections. The chemistry between Blade and Sophia was good and the story was very well laid out.

He started out rough but turned sweet when the woman he desired ended up in his arms. Sophia was naive when it came to her family but knew a good man when she met blade. Their chemistry is sweet and their relationship balanced. Their brotherhood is always at their back. Family seems to be complicated but love it when it came together.

Twists and turns in this mafia and Dark Slayers MC story with Sophia who is the daughter of a mafia family and Blade who vows to protect her. All of the books in this series are amazing. Loved Blades book but at times, wished it would speed up! Sophia is a daughter of a mafia family and is being played by her family. Either get what they need from Blade by seduction or with violence? What will Sophia do? Can’t wait for the next book in the series!.

Sophia and Blade

Mafia daughter meets motorcycle guy. Sophia was raised in dysfunctional family with three older brothers who’ve been groomed to follow in their father’s footsteps and a younger sister who is kept in a boarding school.
When she met Blade he was the opposite of what she expected of a MC member and very different from the men she was accustomed to. Somehow that worked for them.

Sophia is Ella's best friend. She helped her escape her family and to live happily ever after with Thor.

Blade one of the MC brothers ex veteran fell head over heels with Sophia when her helped Thor get his girl.

What do you do when you have crappy mafia parents? You fall for the hotter than sin Dark Slayers who was sent to watch over you after you help your bestie escape the Don of course. And that’s exactly what Sophia does after finding out a lot of family secrets. And Blade is the perfect man for her. This is definitely a must read and I’m loving this series
