Bar Harbor Summer Nights sizzle with jazz music, late-night dance parties on the beaches of Maine, and a belief that new chapters begin whenever you say they do. It's a summer Angie and the rest of the Harvey Sisters won't forget.
Angie's life has revolved around one thing and one thing only: music. As a new Bar Harbor resident, it's up to her to cultivate a jazz group that rivals the one she left back home in Chicago -- on that fills her heart and soul with music. Lucky for Angie, Bar Harbor has several skilled musicians, including a handsome stranger that leaves her captivated.
Meanwhile, Nicole's daughter, Abby, strikes up a beautiful friendship with Angie's daughter, Hannah. Hannah is on the brink of motherhood, far away from anyone and anything she's ever known, with limited funds to give her baby a good and healthy life. Together, Abby and Hannah become a strong and powerful force, joining together to forge a business that will set Hannah and her baby up for prosperity.
Abby, who struggled in the wake of her college graduation, soon finds a surprising path of her own. It's her brand-new life in that gorgeous town of Bar Harbor, tucked between glittering Frenchman Bay and Acadia Mountain. Her story is just beginning.

Family trials, challenging tribulations, a cast well defined and colorful characters are intricately woven into this storyline that will keep the reader enthralled from the start to the end of the book. The well written story where the author is able to weave together a read that will take the reader on a fast paced adventure Into many lives. I volunteered to read Bar Harbor Nights. Thanks to the author for the opportunity. My opinion is voluntary and my own.
I don’t know how she does it, but Katie Winters sure knows how to spin the perfect tale! Bar Harbor Nights is another spectacular book with a wonderful storyline; a great set of characters that play off each other in some amazing ways; plot twists and turns that leave you scratching your head; and the ongoing HEA that has you moving from one set of happy couples onto the next. This is a fantastic read that I could not put down! Y’all need to grab your copy today!! (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and totally loved it!) ❤️❤️❤️
This book has strong women characters: Hannah who has an unplanned pregnancy and her mother Angie who is struggling to move on after her husband’s betrayal.
The pair struggle financially and are trying to come up with creative solutions to make ends meet and help finance memory care for Angie’s mom. Family love and support runs throughout the story line
Meanwhile criminals and fake love interests complicate life
Thank you to the author for this ARC. This voluntary review is my honest opinion.
This is primarily Angie’s story, although Hannah plays a big part. Angie’s love of music and performing has been silenced by her ex-husband’s betrayal. But with much determination and the need to increase finances she begins her process of performing again. More drama, suspense and possibly a little romance could make it’s arrival for Angie. Another page turner. I received this arc for an honest review.
I love that Katie Winters addresses tough issues in her writing, in this case, Bar Harbor Nights, she addresses, deadbeat jobs, an unplanned pregnancy and its cost, support of a new found biological mother with some newfound job opportunities, friendships, and love. Always with strong women to carry the story to success. However, one thing I found infantile and inappropriate was the sticking out of one’s tongue to another adult in jest or displeasure!
The next book in the bar harbor series. I love reading about Angie and seeing how her relationship with her brother Luke develops as well as her relationship with a new dude. Also seeing Hannah and Abby begin a new career while Hannah is waiting to have her baby. I would love to read more about Hannah and finding her a guy to love. But this was all about Angie and discovering her music and herself again. Great book for sure!
Angie and her daughter Hannah have moved to Bar Harbor to escape hurt from Angie's ex husband. He left her for one of their band members, Hannah is pregnant and unwed but putting her life back together. Angie meets her Mom that gave her and her brother Luke away when they were young and their brother Leo. You will find hurts, weddings, bank being robbed, day to day living, new careers and a new love. Read, you will enjoy it.
The unstable weather in Bar Harbor, Maine seems to mimic the unpredictability of life for the main characters, Angie and her pregnant daughter Hannah. Katie Winters entrances the reader with her characters and unanticipated story lines. I really appreciate how vividly the city and the characters are developed. I really love series, and this one never disappoints.
A*R*C for honest review with no compensation 4.5 stars
Bar Harbor Nights is book 6 in the Mount Desert Island series by Katie Winters.
