I'm a wife, mother, and author! Writing has always been a passion for me, and publishing my first series is a dream come true. I drink too much caffeine, never sleep, and my imagination is always churning out ideas. Eva and her men have been in my head for awhile, and I'm so glad to finally take you with me on this journey!
3.4 stars. This duet was fun, and smutty and all…but the relationships just never, got there. You know? They just didn’t ever get to the point that I wanted them to. We were left with things still feeling really unfinished and surface level. Plus there was a huge jump made from the beginning where all the monsters were thinking in their POVs about how she doesn’t mean anything to them except a ✨food✨ source, to the end where they’re all possessive and professing their love…it just didn’t feel like enough I guess.🤷🏻♀️ Still a fun time though. I loved the humor and the cooking, and Ash’s sweetie pie honey bunch behavior..🥹
After reading book 1 I immediately went into this one, book 1 was ok but left on a cliffhanger so my little curious self had to find out. And glad I did because enjoyed book 2 even more! This delves deeper into the darkness behind each of the monsters, and it was very heartbreaking what they went through that while angry at a certain act (trying not to spoil) from the past it made sense- or harder to still hate. You do have to read book 1 or will be lost in book 2, and yes both have just so much s8x, but book 2 is more emotional than just feeding for power.
I don't know if its the monster porn, or that the entire plot of the book is basically sex (it was a sex scene around every second chapter). But this was not my cup of tea.
This is straight up just smut, which I’m a fan of, but to get it to work the characters and smexy times need to be top tier and it just fell a bit flat
A big pet peeve of mine is when the more kinky stuff is referenced as happening off page… this is a monster romance and it was surprisingly very vanilla
Little plot, which again I can be on board with, but the little plot there was was convoluted, not explained well enough, and ridden with plot holes. It made it a little frustrating, id rather them forgo the civil unrest plot thread completely and focus on the character’s relationships (and by that I mean ANY kind of relationship would have been great). This is very much instalove, the characters had very little chemistry, but I think that’s mainly down to the fact that the characters have already been boning for 3 years so we miss out on a lot of initial relationship building
Monster's Obsession is book 2 in the Monster and me duet. In the last book all of the loose ends weretied up nicely with some outstanding plot twists as secret & lies coming to light. With some jaw dropping results especially for me!! It was definitely a cracking ending and I loved readingit so much
Monsters Obsession is the second book in the Monster & Me duet. I can't believe this is the final one😭😭😭. Lawd have mercy, this was HOOOOOT!!! This was pure smutty goodness that gave me a feeling I didn't want to end. I'm so happy Blake and her monsters had their happy ending. They definitely deserved it! When I say this was pure filthy smut than I definitely mean it! All of you monster-f*cker/br*3der reader out there, NEED to drop everything right now and read this series.
I loved how this ended. It's starts off from book ones cliffhanger, and it was a bit of a shock learning what happened. I really liked Blake. She never gave up on her guys. My heart broke for guys and what they went through. Learning some of their history was tough. I absolutely loved the epilogues, and I'm excited for the next story in this world.
Beasts and betrayals 🙈 I couldn’t put this down I read it in one sitting…there’s a lot packed into this last of the duet! After being left for death Blake has an unlikely saviour comes to her aid, yet said saviour has more and more secrets building up that could potentially rip everything apart 😮😳 moreover her lovers are at odds with Steele being accused with the Death of the Red Queen and facing off against his former brothers Blake’s being torn between them 😩 not only that but these damaged monsters have their own issues to overcome before they can accept that the actually do love her 🙈 but oh when they let themselves love her wow these monsters obsessed, dedicated to keeping their human and breeding her 🥰 and phew 🔥🔥 straight up monster smut 🔥🔥 Can these fractured beings overcome the betrayals and brokenness to save their world and get their HEA?! ❤️
This was a really fun and quick RH read. There's a whole lot of kinky monster sex, drama within the kingdom of Wyld and a harem that's always wavering on unsteady. What bothers me is the end of the book when a whole bunch of unnecessary scenarios occur and I'm left with a whole lot of unanswered questions now.
It's rather annoying and childish how quick each of her monsters are to turn on one another. Not to mention they figure they’ll deal with her emotions after the fact if one of them is hurt or killed. As if they’d survive should they kill one of her mates, everyone should fear a pissed off and broken hearted woman. I get their monsters but hot damn they are hot headed and completely oblivious to the old ways of their queen. They still hold her in high regards which is rather insulting to the heroine if you ask me. Luckily none of Blake's men are killed but it's still wrong how they have no problem turning on their brothers. OK duet just wish the end was a bit better and that the 2nd epilogue would just be included rather than requiring you to sign up for a newsletter.
This book was FILTHY, absolutely the wrong book to read when you're staying over at your aunt's and uncle's 😂 There was still some plot going on, but it was a lot less consistent and clear of where things were going. Stuff got resolved to quickly or it barely got resolved and then they suddenly mentioned it being taken care of, which was weird. Overall not a bad duology, but I doubt I'll be recommending it to anyone.
Book one was fine. It is what it is. But book 2? I am not sure what it’s purpose was and why it was around 100 pages longer than the first one. Book one could have been easily extended and encapsulated the minimal plot, if we are going to call it that, could have been made into a standalone.
There were no questions answered, not really. I was hoping we would get more information as to why the energy that the circle is providing is not getting to the people, we did not get that answered.
Not a huge fan of how the monster with 7 demons living inside him is represented. I don’t know what it is but it doesn’t feel right. The way they talk about his personalities and him being in ‘that mood’, again I don’t know what it is, nor do I feel like I know enough to speak about it but it just doesn’t feel right.
This might have been from book 1 or book two I cannot remember but one of the monsters is blind and the FMC makes comments if he can “actually” see her, or how “she would run into things and she could SEE”, like she couldn’t fathom how he’s able to function without sight even knowing that he has heightened hearing and sense of smell.
This book was published in 2022, there’s really no need for a Harry Potter reference here. 🙄
The reason she got thrown in an “insane asylum” in book 1 was because of her father, the governor, and her seeing something she shouldn’t, aka an orgy that her father, a woman, and 2 men were participating in. She says this line and maybe it’s just me but it feels very problematic. Blake says this in chapter 17, “My parents were assholes too–beyond assholes. I was in that asylum in the first place because I walked in on my father fucking…not only his secretary but also his male chief of staff…and our gardener…at the same time. Even now, the image makes me want to puke. But…I think there are just evil dicks in the world who enjoy hurting others. You know, my father once said to me that the evil that exists in the world lives in the shadows of each one of us. I actually think he was talking about himself, acknowledging what an awful person he was. When he died…I didn’t feel an ounce of pity for him.” When Blake mentions the male chief of staff, there’s an emphasis (it’s in italics) on “male”. Why is that? Yes, her father is a piece of shit for many reasons including how he treats his daughter and cheating on his wife but like idk this felt icky. There could have been a better way to write that whatever both the authors were intending with that line.
I don’t know what else to say, other than honestly just skip these.
This duet was awesome and took me by surprised on how much I loved it! C.R. Jane makes sure to answer any questions I had in this ending. We also get a look inside the next book that will take place in this world.
Picking up after the cliff hanger in book one, Blake is steadily getting used to the world of Wyld and the creatures in it. She's growing closer to her monstrous men, but the challenges they all face are still there and they're not going away any time soon.
This is the final book in the Monsters and Me duet and it was a great ending to Blake's story. We see all of our lose ends tied up, our connections formed and stronger than ever, and we even got to delve into some of our monster's pasts. Getting back stories and learning more about them made their actions make a little more sense in the grand scheme of things.
I didn't like how a particular person tried to kill Blake and she just immediately forgave them. It made her feel weak as a character and didn't reinstate how much of a baddie she is.
This is a hard review to write for me as I'm conflicted. firstly this is a monster smut book with all the interesting peen and worth a read. I enjoyed the world , the monsters and most of the characters (tempest needed a lot more grovelling). The FMC was a little too 'well adjusted' for me after spending so long in an institute and coming to terms with her 'dreams' being real, anyone else would have had some mental health issues and the book would have been better if she was a little on the crazed side or some mental health issues explored. The book itself was disjointed in quite a lot of places and was like multiple different people wrote specific bits and they didnt merge well in my honest opinion. I would really get into a chapter and then the switch would happen leaving me disappointed, which was why its taken me nearly twice as long to read. Now I come to the smexy scenes throughout. I love the amount in the book more than 70% of the book was pure smut but..... Some of the scene's were on point I particularly enjoyed a scene with Ash. But some of the scene's were quite poor I can't put my finger on it, I don't know if it was some of the wording. There was also a few grammatical errors and a random letter in a couple of chapters someone might need to proof read it again and update to fix. What really annoyed me though in this smutty book is when they went to the 'smex club' the second time and we basically got a 'fade to black' all the hype of all the guys coming to meet them and 'showing off' on a bed under a glass roof but all we got was .... she woke up the next day and couldn't really remember. With the amount of smex in this book, this could have really been the place to put it. You could have made this part really good and missed out on a couple of other scene's that weren't really necessary. I don't say this lightly as I loved that this book was mostly smex but sometimes one really good scene makes up for 2 or 3 poor ones that feel a little like your trying to make up the word count. A few tweaks here and there and this could really be a 5* monster smut book.
One wild ride! The first book set this up to be a killer of a story. You must read in order to truly love and understand Blake and her males or should I say monsters. I love Blake. She may feel like she is loosing her sanity some days with the emotional issues her monsters have. But she is able to handle it and throw it right back. Her devotion to the monster realm means an insane amount of hotness that is always finding a way of surprising what these males will do. But she must feed the masses and I don’t think she will ever complain about it.
Monster’s Obsession is book two in the Monsters and Me duet and I was so ready to find out what happened after the cliffie at the end of book one. All loose ends were eventually tied up and I loved the ending. I was worried about her monsters and if they would shape up, but all worked out in the end. If you are looking for a super spicy book that is morally gray, look no further than this duet!
I have absolutely loved this duet! My favourite monster romance to date!! wyld was such and awesome world with so many creepy and crazy monsters!! I loved all of Blake's monsters but I do have a fav shhh xx I can't wait to read more into this world 🖤🖤🖤
YES YES YES loved this book!! Bring on the monster smut 🥵🥵🥵 Loved this duet, I think it's an interesting concept. I need more "dream demon" type recs. It was very nice to get some more back story on the monsters and their history with the read queen - plus the truth FINALLY. This was a great conclusion to the cliffhanger we were left on from book 1. I did feel like parts of the story in book 2 were very fast. They felt almost too fast for the moment. I didn't love how understanding Steele was - I wanted his "brothers" to grovel more. But alls well that ends well! Loved this story, loved the duet, and I wish there was more. I cannot wait to read what C.R. Jane and Mila Young write next!

The book was a fun read only issue I had with it was there was so much time skip between chapters it was a bit difficult to follow but if you only really here for the smut scenes then you will enjoy it
So this isn’t really any different than the first book, just longer. I think the authors tried to rally up some more plot and character growth which was nice. It’s still just really lacking. The writing isn’t cohesive making it super clear that two people wrote it and they may not have always been on the same page.
Ultimately though, the same thing that kept me from liking the first one more applied here too. Tempest. He became more repugnant this book and the authors relied on his *tragic backstory* to excuse his shitty behavior. Lazy and gross. I’m not even talking about the queen stuff or blaming Steele. He tried to kill h and everyone shrugs it off because of his sob story. GTFOH.
Reverse harem w języku angielskim, o ile takie rzeczy was interesują :)
watch out holy shit balls on the monster | recently purchased your sprayed pink edges set on a whim and lady... I am so glad I did this duology had me gripping the book jaw dropped panties bloody melted and my eyes wide.... Booksta if you are looking for some Morally Grey Monsters who can shape shift into men, who fuck you in you your dreams and feed you chocolate salad... look no future than the royal circle right here from visiting sex clubs open polyamory and open sexuality this alternative world our FMC finds herself in is freeing and all about treating this woman like a queen! There's action, there's humour there's some pretty gross food but I found myself unable to put this down and had me going " how does one put themselves into the positions for these.. okay we're just gonna go with it!" Spice rating alone so so worth it! You won't regret it!
