This was a sweet Instalove office romance without drama and with a sweet HEA😍😍😍 Petra is working at a temp agency and now has to work for Mr. Shaw as an assistant for the CEO. Jack is smitten as soon as he sees her and his obsession starts. He thinks he can't claim her right this second but boy is he J/P obsessed when another man talks to her 🤣🤣 Instalove, sweet, fun to read, romantic, steamy and safe with a great HEA😍😍😍😍 Can't wait for the next story in this series 👍👍
The audiobook is just as good😏 The narrators were doing a great job to capture the emotions and the gist of the story. 😊

This short read is insta everything - attraction, declarations of love and getting into the smut.
And from there it was sex all the way.
I found the introduction of some characters and plot points a little confusing because things weren't completed.
Once the H and h got down and dirty any plot went bye bye.
Recommended for a quick low stress read.

I really enjoyed this office romance. Jack was completely taken by his new assistant, Petra but had to proceed with caution since things could end up in a lawsuit. The only problem was Jack couldn't handle his newfound possessiveness he felt over Petra. Meanwhile, Petra just quit her last job because her boss was a little handsy so she was scared her new, grumpy CEO boss, Jack Shaw was going to fire her.
These two were so cute with all their inner monologue, Jack's grumpy behavior and Petra speaking without thinking. Through it all Jack was determined to make Petra his, there just wasn't any other option.

This is a sexy , hot office romance between Petra and her boss Jack. Lusting after each other but each holding back, her in fear of being fired and with him fighting his obsession of her. The author brings a drama filled story with tons of heat and delivers an entertaining quickie. It's well written, moves fluidly and I enjoyed reading.

The spice factor is off the charts in this book and I do love a insta love romance.

He absolutely hates when other guys try to talk to her so he turns into a controlling, possessive, jealous caveman and ends up coming off like an a**hole!! He runs hot and cold with her and she is so confused by it but gives as good as she gets with him..

This was a perfect love story, Jack was the perfect amount of possessive, protective, and over the top. This was a great start to the series and i wasn't disappointed at all.

This novella tried to pack everything into 2.5 hours, and honestly…it felt a bit off. I don’t mind insta-love, in fact, I prefer insta love vs long drawn out slow burn…but this one didn’t hit a sweet spot for me. A virgin giving up her V-card in less than a month came across less romantic and more like gold-digging situation…especially with her inner monologues, which really didn’t help her case. On top of that, she lies, the I can’t keep my mouth shut I’m too honest (to the owner of supposedly big corp) to then she can keep her mouth shut 🙄 felt conditioning, manipulating and self serving so, overall I just didn’t like her character. She came off as selfish too and not even that good of a friend.
I really wish there had been a time jump, maybe 6–8 months later, at the very least, to make the relationship feel more believable. Especially with her holding on to the v-card 🥱 at the very least, if she came off as with a “this is the person I’ve been waiting for” vibe, I would have bought the plot a bit…It went from zero to everything lightening fast. Ok, can’t forget her character, I can’t stand the fake nice person and hate it in books, I would be ok, if it a side, side character and not main.
The MMC wasn’t much better, to be honest. The only character I actually liked was Petra’s roommate. Though, knowing how these things go, if they get their own book, their personality will probably change completely anyway.
Worth it? 🧐it depends? I can’t complain too much though, it was a free read… so I’d say if you are stuck somewhere and need a quick book or trying to meet your reading quota, I guess it wouldn’t hurt…?

Oof - I started this fully knowing it was a novella, and I'm not sure what I expected but what I just read was NOT it. This story is absolutely rushed.
- I felt zero connection to either main character and found them both to be confusing and annoying. Is he sweet and doting or is he a total possessive and controlling jersey? Is she sweet, innocent and forgetful or a spitfire who speaks her mind and clearly communicates her needs? They both bounced back and forth and even in this very short story, I found myself ready to be done with their annoying selves before getting to the epiloge.
- I knew this story was of the insta-love variety before starting it, but this was over the top and completely unbelievable. I found myself rolling my eyes at how quickly they both "fell in love" without any personal or meaningful interactions apart from "I forgot my hat and gloves on the train" followed by a surprise new hat and gloves on her desk later that day. must have been some amazing accessories!
- I could not take anything for about 2 paragraphs seriously after each time "meat" was used as a euphemism for a penis. I was grossed out the first time and then apalled that it was used AGAIN in such a short book and then it just felt like a joke when it continued to pop up. Blech!!

When she is brought to his office by another coworker, Elliot he gets grumpy. She’s his no other man should be near her. That is the theme of the book, every breathing man wants Petra and Jack goes OTT jealous possessive every time. He runs hot and cold with her and she is confused but gives as good as she gets with him, she not a shrinking violet. He makes it so she has to attend a conference in Vegas with him, of course men hit on her there and he gets all growly and grumpy, he Cant stand the men looking at her and carries her out over his shoulder and marries her at a drive through chapel. The sexy times were steamy and plentiful she’s a virgin and he’s not a manwhore. I love yous and two epilogues, one year later married and five years later with three kids.

This was a perfect OTT, possessive alpha story! Jack was the perfect amount of possessive, protective, and OTT. This was a great start to the series and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the series has to offer.

the mmc is quite aggressive with his approach, he's also controlling, possessive, jealous and very much a caveman. usually i don't have problems with that most specially in novellas, these traits are expected. however, with the mmc acting out on every turn being a dick to the fmc one minute then being a territorial ass another hot minute didn't work for me. he also kept growling whenever someone approach her, and of course she has to talk to them cuz it would be rude if she didn't.
the fmc was wishy washy too, she's afraid of him and hesitant then she had a 180 wanting to seduce him. she's a also a virgin which annoyed me, why do fmcs have to remain untouched? for someone who doesn't have an experience all of a sudden she became this sexy vixen who isn't afraid to go after what she wants.
overall, this is supposed to be a 3 star read for me but the mmc kinda ruined it so i'm bumping it to 2 stars

It takes Petra’s friend interfering in her wardrobe for her to understand that her boss just might be interested in her. Jack is an alpha male that is more than ready to get rid of all the competition. This is a steamy read.

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
My pet is the first book in the ‘’a dirty boss’’ series.
This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. When Petra gets a new job she doesn’t expect to find love. Jack is a successful businessman. When Petra becomes his personal assistant, he wants her.
The chemistry between Jack and Petra is clear to see and I loved them together. I loved how possessive Jack was of Petra.
I liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I look forward to more books from this series.

The narration by Marie Hawkins and Hector Carrillo who are both new to me was entertaining. They brought the characters and story to life for me.

This is a great way to kickoff the new Dirty Boss Romance Series with Jack and Petra steaming up the pages. Jack is the perfect blend OTT alpha with a heart of gold and he knows as soon as he sees Petra that she's the one for him. Petra has been assigned to work for Jack as his new assistant and she's attracted to him too but she doesn't think that he wants her. You really need to read this short and steamy story to see what happens. I would definitely recommend reading this steamy book and I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.

I listened to the audiobook of this and tbh, it was a waste of time lol I expected more despite knowing it was a short novella. It’s like within a page or two, after an hour of useless backstories, they just decide to hook up in Vegas even though neither of them have shown any interest towards each other ??? He’s in the elevator kissing her saying “you’re mine” and she didn’t even know for sure if he liked her or vice versa in the scene prior??. I usually like insta love but this felt like the author had no clue how to make them come together other than just going “boom here they kiss and fuck the end !”.

OMG My Pet was an amazing OTT steamy, stalker romance by C.M. Steele. Its book one in the series, A Dirty Boss and I can't wait to read the next book. Petra needs her job working for Jack Shaw after quitting her previous job. Mr. Shaw has the reputation for being grumpy and very difficult to work for. But when Mr. Shaw lays eyes on Petra he is determined to claim her as his own. If you like possessive, super jealous alphas that fall hard and fast for their woman, you will love this series.

I thought that this was a fantastic book. I loved Jack and Petra with their amazing connection and chemistry. I love the Petra speaks her mind and Jack isn't afraid of growling at anyone who gets to close to his pet. I really hope we get Val's book in this series. I would highly recommend this book and Ms. CM as must read author.
