I got one night with him. One incredible night. This wasn’t a situation where I didn’t know him. I knew his name, Mason. He was deploying the next day and we had mutual friends so… I knew him. But I didn’t know him at all. Then the letters started. He agreed. I agreed. It was a done deal. Pen pals and in the old school way. I wasn’t prepared. The texture of the paper. His words. The ink. He touched what I was holding. The magic. It was a window into his soul. Until, he’s hurt. Until, he comes back. Until, everything changes. Mason needs to decide if he’ll let me in or push me away because I already knew. I’d fallen in love with my pen pal, but will he love me back?

In the beginning of this book, this book reminded me of the movie that had the love story that was in dear John…………. How they pretty much shared A piece of their soul in between each Letter that they had exchanged.
So once again, I’m here in. Oakside military heroes series I went shopping in my Kindle once again as well. I have. Put this series on the back burner due to the fact that, omg, this is such a tearjerker. Of a series.
This might have been a short story, but it took me forever to read it due to the fact that, again, it was a tearjerker
Pretty much almost every guy at Oakdale has a heart-wrenching STORY….. and it wouldn’t be fair for me to share it with you …… it’s best that you read it for yourself and feel both Mason and Paige’s story.
So, I mentioned in my last update that there was a possibility that my friends and I were going to purchase a wine company due to this authors Ability to pull your heart right out of your chest and put it back together piece by piece. ………….. So not only do we own stock in Kleenex company, but we also own stock in wine company
Another mediocre read. I love a good penpal/letters correspondence romance, and this novella kinda did that. And that's it.
It's a pretty straightforward story and I underestimated the power of short books. Because you know, it's helping me power through this slumpy mood I'm in.
I love soldiers !! I love the letters !! I love that Paige and Mason have such a intense build up. I loved everything about this and I’m happy this was my favorite Kaci Rose novel 😻😻!! It’s official I am a fan !!
A fast read, less than 50 pages, but it is packed with romance and heat.
Mason is due to ship out and decides to go out with his friends one last time, and he meets Paige. After spending the evening together, she wants to write him. A friendship forms as they become pen pals. But as soon as she finds out Mason is injured, Paige rushes to his side. Can a one-night stand change your life?
Thank you to the Booksprout and the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
Paige meets Mason the evening before he is scheduled to deploy and they spend one steamy evening together before he deploys. Their relationship doesn’t end there as they exchange letters while he is away until she gets a letter that changes the course of their relationship.
The highlight of Mason’s days are receiving the letters from Paige but when the mission takes a turn and he comes home injured the letter he writes will determine whether they are meant to be a fling or forever.
Paige and Mason take us on a heartwarming journey filled with all the feels as they overcome a little turmoil and find a love that is meant to be.
This was a fantastic story. Mason was about to be deployed and was set up by friends on a blind date the night before leaving. He and Paige connected immediately. They had a wonderful night and when he left she gave him a letter. Months if getting to know each other by letter led to love. The Mason was injured. He came home with both physical and emotional scars. Paige was not giving up on him! Although there were some obstacles to overcome Paige and Mason were so in love they would fight for their forever. Hot, steamy, emotional romance with amazing chemistry and a wonderful HEA.

A fantastic short story. What starts as one night for Mason and Paige develops into more when they continue a long distance friendship. When Mason is deployed, for the first time ever he gets care packages and has someone to write to him, however when he is injured Paige is the one to help him through it. Their friendship turns into more however when Mason gets life changing news about his career he pushes her away. A really great story that will have you hooked from the start with fantastic characters. I love the Oakside storyline as well. Great read!.

Saving Mason is a heartfelt soldier’s story. Mason heads out with his friends before their deployment. His friends introduce him to Paige. They hit it off and agree to have no attachments. By the time the night ends, they decide to be pen pals during Mason’s deployment. When Mason’s deployment gets cut short, Paige is there to help him through his recovery. Will Mason allow Paige to be a help?.

This is a great short story with strong characters in Paige and Mason. T5he author packs a ton in this steamy romance. I loved the characters and storyline. She paints her scenes perfectly and delivers a terrific read. Loved and recommend.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
This one was short, but it packed a lot in. I liked that both Mason and Paige used the letters to get to know each other better and then later because they had that base of friendship, each of them reached out when things were tough. After a bump or two, they eventually found their way to happiness.
Saving Mason is a military romance with a twist. Mason and his group are set to deploy in the morning but tonight he is going out for a couple of drinks with some of the guys and their girls. Paige is out with some of her friends who are meeting the men they are in relationships with who are all shipping out in the morning. Mason and Paige are both single and after getting to talking and having a few drinks, along with a few dances, head out together for a night of toe curling private fun. Mason does not have anyone, as he grew up in foster care, and Paige knows from having friends who have partners deployed just how important letters and care packages can be. So before Mason leaves in the morning Paige gives him a letter and tells him he can write her back if he wants to. What starts as pen pals also has Paige sending packages with things that Mason likes, and had mentioned that one night. When the entire group of men go dark Paige is worried. As it turns out Mason was injured while saving him men and he ends up back state side. When Paige finally hears from Mason with his new address for her to write to him she looks it up and discovers it is a rehabilitation home a couple hours away. Once she is finished with her school year she knows she has to see Mason. Before long she will need to be there for Mason as a real support system in order to save him.

Paige meets Mason when he joins his friends for drinks the night before he will deploy. He has no one to write or send care packages to him, so Paige offers to do so if he writes to her first. They spend an amazing night together and he leaves. But he accepts her offer and they write to each other.
When he sends a letter with a new address but no explanation, Paige asks Fawn, a military wife of one of the guys with Mason, if they came home early. Fawn’s husband had told her there was an issue on their last mission but they are still there. So Paige goes online to look up information about the address. It points to Oakside Military Rehabilitation Center where soldiers are sent to heal after being injured. He is only a state away now and she is off work for the summer. Will she continue writing him letters? And how will he react when she arrives to see for herself that he is okay? Will he push her away?
Paige and Mason have an amazing story to tell. There is so much emotion here. Paige seems to understand all that he is going through and reminds him he does not have to do it alone. She gives him her strength to add to his when he needs it. Is it enough to keep them together when the “big road bump” comes?
This is a beautifully written military romance story. When Mason talks to one of his men they invite him to join them an their girlfriends for a night out before they deploy the next day.At first he's going to say no but changes his mind. When Mason gets their the guys say one of their girlfriends invited a single friend so he has someone to talk to an dance with.At first he's not happy but when he turns around an she says hi my name is Paige she's the most beautiful women he's ever seen. She talk they laugh an they dance finally they leave he follows her home an she's getting nervous.Mason says we don't have to do anything we can just cuddle.Spending the night holding a beautiful woman before deployment is just what the man needs. Will they spend the night making love? The next morning as he gets ready to leave she hands him an envelope she says write if you want an ill answer .They start writing back an forth .then all of a sudden the letters stop.Did something happen to him? There are so many twists an turns to this story you will be riveted until the very last page an leave you begging for more.I can hardly wait to see what's next by this multi talented author.
This novella, which could be considered part of the author’s series, Oakside Military Heroes, belongs to Mason and Paige. They meet the night before his deployment, hit it off and once he left, they corresponded. A sort of friendship developed, until Mason was injured and ended up stateside in Oakside. As with other stories, it’s a reminder of sacrifices the men and women of the military make in order to keep us safe and our nation, a free country. Many return with not only physical but also psychological and emotional injuries. All which affect not only them, but also their loved ones. Though as most novellas it suffered a little with plot and character development, it was still entertaining and a good addition to a much loved series. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
I agreed to meet the guys and their significant others for drinks before deployment as I figured it was better than staying home alone. Paige was a friend who tagged along and to be honest was someone I would like to know if I was not being deployed tomorrow. After a night of partying, I left Paiges home in the morning after a wonderful and rememberable night. She gave me a a letter with her address on it just incase I wanted to write her and she would also send care packages. One thing led to another and I ended up at Oakside. Paige decided to visit me because she knew I would not invite her here. This is a wonderfully written book with wonderful caring characters. A great addition to the Oakside series.

Mason and Paige met at the bar with their mutual friends right before Mason’s latest deployment. The mutual attraction led to memorable one-night sex. They agreed to write to each other. Paige also sent him care packages on a regular basis that made his team members jealous. Mason got injured on duty and was sent to Oakside Rehab Center to recover. Paige surprises him by showing up, since she is on school summer break. She sticks around for a few months and they gradually get their relationship back on track, until Mason hears that he is released by the military. He blows up and sends Paige back home. I am amazed at how understanding and resilient Paige is through this story. She seems way more mature than most of girls that age. It is a relatively short story with a wounded soldier and his recovery in focus.
This short, sexy romance packs plenty of steam and a dose of angst. They meet on the eve of his deployment and spend a very passionate night together. Mason and Paige were not expecting anything to come of their night together other than a memory to look back on fondly, though both are aware that a deeper connection was sparked within them. Writing letters and email, and Paige sending Mason care packages helps to further their knowledge of each other and deepen their feelings hidden their hearts. An injury sends Mason back to the states and sets in motion a change in their relationship. Is there a happily ever after in their future or heartbreak?

I liked this book, its story, and the characters. I enjoyed the plot and thought the plot was unique. Having a one night stand turn in to a pen pal relationship was unique and really sweet. Mason is a man with nobody outside of his military family until he meets Paige. After a hookup they become pen pals which is exactly what he needed, especially when he becomes injured. Paige is so beautiful and pure of heart, wanting to be the person Mason can depend on. Their story is a little fast paced in places but there is a lot of story to fit into a quick read. I enjoyed this book and liked how Mason redeems himself after an emotional situation.

This book focuses on Mason and Paige. They meet the night before Mason deploys and have an instant connection and an even more unforgettable night. When Paige finds out that Mason doesn’t have anybody to send him letters or care packages, she decides that she will be the one who will write letters to him. They end up becoming pen pals which ends up being exactly what Mason needed. They grow closer with every communication between them and when Mason ends up injured, Paige doesn’t hesitate to go straight to him while he recovers. They do have some issues, but thankfully Mason doesn’t plan to give Paige up. This was such a great story!

Paige meets Mason a bar the night before he is deployed. They have a great night together and the next day she gives him her address and asks if her will write. They are great penpals and end up sending care pages, emails and letters. Then the letter stop and she gets a new letter with a new address. She looks it up and finds that it's from Oakside Military Rehabilitation Center. He was hurt on his last assignment. Paige goes to visit and helps out at Oakside. Mason gets a letter and finds that he has been given a medical discharge. He's angry and tells Paige to leave. Will Mason change his mind? Will he go after Paige and fight to win her back? Mason is due to ship out, so his friends take him out one last time. Paige is also out with her friends. Mason ask Paige to dance and then they head back to her place. They both know that it will be one night since he is leaving in the morning. They decide to write each other, even though he is not sure about it. She sends letters and care packages and he always writes back. After awhile his letters stop and she finds out he has been injured and is in rehab. She goes to him and then he finds out he has gotten a medical discharge. He is not happy and says some things to make her leave. He realizes he not only wants her but he needs her. They do get back together and are blue to find their HEA.
Mason and Paige's story a fast read that holds a lot of punch. The night before Mason is about to be deployed, he meets up with friends and a woman that is about to change his world. Paige has some of a understand of what her friends go through when their husbands are out on deployment, and she helps when she can.
After spending a night with Mason, she extends a hand if he wants to write her. Over the time, Mason and Paige get to know each other and become close. When his address changes to state side, Paige is not about to let him go through things alone.
Well written story that will tug at your heart.

This was a story connected to Oakside Military Rehab Center. Mason and Paige met by chance and she started writing him on his deployment. She also sent great care packages to him. When he was injured, he was sent to the Rehab Center. She started seeing him again and they got very close. He had to learn how to deal with mustering out of the service due to his disaibility and it did cause some problems. These story are all heartwarming as these service men find their other halfs and learn to lead different productive lives.

This book was absolutely fantastic and will have you enthralled from the beginning until the end and the storyline flowed throughout the book. Mason is getting ready to deploy and a night out with his teammates and a set up blind date that turns into a pen pal but with more feelings collected, but what more could he ask for? Paige is set up with Mason and they share one amazing night together but when she offers to write him and send care packages could there be more between them? Great story and I absolutely fell in love with them both.

Mason and Paige go out with mutual friends the night before his deployment and after spending the night together start writing one another while he’s away.
Mason gets injured and ends up at Oakside and Paige wants to support him but he has doubts to face in order for them to be together.
It’s a short and sweet novella, definitely worth the read. I do wish it was a bit longer with more detail like the other books in the series but it was still a wonderful addition.
I hope we get to see more of Oakside in the future!.

This was a short story. It was hot and romantic and I really enjoyed it. It is loosely conected to the authors Oakside series as Mason ends up there and some of the characters are mentioned in this story.
Mason and Paige meet the night before he ships out. They end up as penpals that fall hard for each other. When he goes silent and Paige finds out he is hurt well she rushes to his side and thats when the book gets interesting.
This was a short and fast paced military romance with lots of heart and I really enjoyed it.

This was a great continuation of the Oakside series. Both Mason and Paige are relatable and likable characters, who you cheer for from the very beginning. It's a typical and satisfying Kaci Rose read. She knows just how to make you fall in love with her characters, only to break your heart and then skillfully put it back together again. This book is a roller coaster ride of emotions with this couple and their journey to love and HEA. I just can't get enough of these Oakside couples and their stories and love!.
