Her Ghostly Savior

Rate this book

There is no pain like losing a child. That is something Blaze knows all too well. It explains why instead of celebrating the first birthday, she’s sitting in a cemetery with balloons holding her grief when she wants nothing more than to be holding her son.

She should share her grief with her husband, Dominic. But that’s hard to do when deep down, she can’t help but think he had something to do with their son’s death in the first place. The only comfort she can find is in a ghost buried near her sweet boy.

The more Blaze and Dominic’s marriage dissolves, the harder her gut tells her something isn’t right. One trip to a pawn shop with a piece of jewelry he gave her and her entire life as she knew it unravels. Dominic is anything but what he seems, and those gifts aren’t gifts at all…

They’re trophies.

Lucas has to crossover. That doesn’t stop him from watching over Blaze and guarding her against a monster she doesn’t know is right on her doorstep.

But when her husband comes for her life, Lucas won’t even let the supernatural veil separating them stop him from making sure Blaze remains unharmed.

And acts of love like that certainly have the power to defy even fate.

This book is very different from my norm. Blaze started out as a weak, timid pushover but found strength in the least likely of places. Blaze was married to a horrible man but because of her rose-colored glasses she never saw the REAL Dominic. It wasn't until the death of her 4-month-old baby that Blaze started to question things.

I've never disliked a character as much as I despised Dominic who turned out to be a Vile, Ruthless Serial Killer Rapist. He was absolutely deplorable and irredeemable. Dominic didn't care about Blaze or the death of their son. The only comfort Blaze found was in the cemetery during her visits to Little Billy's grave. While visiting her baby she would often sit and talk to a neighboring grave that she felt a connection too. Little did Blake know that the occupant of that grave would mean to her more than she could ever imagine.

Lucas was unable to crossover into the afterlife. Full of revenge and anger; Lucas couldn't rest until those responsible for his death were dealt with. When those who wronged him were all dead Lucas realized that he had another reason for not crossing over into the afterlife. Ever since the day of Billy's funeral Lucas has been drawn to Blake and became her source of comfort. Once Lucas realized the type of man Blaze was married too, he made it his business to protect her and keep her safe.

This story put a little twist on all of those beings who go bump in the night. This book is filled with a bit of everything: Serial Killer, Angels, Fallen Angels, Vampires and Demons.

Take a journey into Blaze and Lucas' second chance romance to their HEA but strap in because you are in for a wild, emotional, infuriating ride.

I absolutely loved this book! It was so hard to put down. Blake had the perfect man in Dominic. Or so she thought. He hid the monster that he was from everyone for years. And what he did to Billy!!! How could a father or anyone do that? At least she met Lucas, although he was dead, she had someone to talk to. The ending was beautiful, everyone got what they deserved!

A Ghostly love story

A ghostly love story where a second chance at love involves fallen angels, vampires and demons. This second chance at
love brings to life a community where helping each other is key. Thoroughly enjoyed the story line.

Her Ghostly Savior

I really enjoyed how this story just pulled me in right from the very beginning. I really liked the FMC, Blaze but my heart hurt for her because she was married to a total narcissistic psycho, Dominic. Dominic played Blaze from the very beginning with his good guy act and once they were married he let his real colors show and kept her friends and family away from her.
Tragedy struck Blaze and her world fell apart after her son's death. Her only happiness and comfort came from visiting her son's grave for hours everyday. After her son's death Blaze would visit the cemetery and talk to Lucas, (the name of the tombstone next to her son's grave) for hours.
Her Ghostly Savior isn't just a story about pain, loss and distrust but also about a second chance for love. I felt such a connection to Blaze and what she went through because of the way this author was able to write this story, making you feel like you're the one experiencing all the emotions first-hand. I couldn't help but root for the Blaze and Lucas and pray Dominic meets the end that he so desperately deserves. I truly enjoyed this book so much and I can't wait to read the next book by Promothesus Susan.

"If you love Criminal Minds the first chapters will hook you up! You ever thought you know what a monster thinks? Think it twice because Dominic was like no other psychopath I've ever read. Guess it's true that you never truly know a person. Anyway, I don't want to sound mean but part of me was fascinated of what him did. Not in a "admire" way more like how smart serial killers actually are and that's so scary!! Back to the story, Blaze at first seemed weak and a little stupid, sorry but I was waiting for a strong minded woman and she wasn't like that at all. Ever heard about characters growing up throughout the story? She was the case after meeting Lucas. Help came from unexpected ways when you need them the most and lucky for her, she found Lucas. Keep in mind the paranormal aspect, it will make 'sense' sort of lol. You never know what a savior might look like *blink blink* if you know, you know."

This is the first time I'm reading from author Prometheus Susan. I just found my next new author. This storyline had so much heart and compassion that I was hooked. When I first started to read this book, I was trying to figure out how a ghost was going to save her .... Well turns out there's more to this story that meets thee eye. If you love a story with a strong minded heartbroken female with a Alpha Male who would risk it all and I do mean all... Internal life and damnation. Also lets not forget murder, ghosts, and vampires with a HEA then this book is definitely for you. You won't be disappointed.

What an Amazing book. This book is based off Blaze and Lucas’s love story. Blaze is married to a horrible man who happens to be a serial killer, but she does not realize the man that he is married to until their son is murdered. During her visits to her son’s grave, she meets a man Lucas who has not been able to cross over to the Afterlife. Through their conversations and connections, they develop feelings for each other, and he ends up having other reasons for not crossing over to the Afterlife. This book was completely different than I am used to reading, but I completely enjoyed it and was unable to put the book down. I highly recommend reading this book.

I had no idea what I was getting into when I started this book, but it was pretty good!
Dominic was the perfect man or so Blake thought. Dominic hid the monster he was from everyone for years. But then he really messed up with Billy. In walks Lucas, who even though he’s dead, he still makes a very good person to talk with.

This story was an intense second chance romance with fallen angels, vampires, and demons. And through that second chance romance it brings together a whole community tying it all together nicely.

So there is a lot to offer in this book Lucas from the other side keeps watch over Blaze. She doesn’t trust Dominic and that keeps her holding back and he is the devil in disguise. There are supernaturals galore from the demons, to the vampires to the angels. Something for every PN lover in my book. New author to me and I enjoyed being sucked in kind of makes you go hmmm. I wonder.

This one was a tough one for me, the story and the characters are great it was just the POV that made it difficult to read at times. Being told in third-person omniscient POV means you know how every character is feeling but sometimes you would jump from character to character in the same paragraph.

Anyways, overall a good PNR romance, angels, demons and vampires in a twist of the afterlife.
