Lady Juliana, daughter of the Earl of Neavesbury, loves her quiet life in the country. As the Easter Season begins, she decides to take part in the yearly festivities and enjoy herself with her friends. What she didn’t expect though is that during the pancake race on Shrove Tuesday, she would meet an intriguing man who would make her heart beat faster than ever. To her dismay, Juliana will not be the only lady interested in the charming gentleman…
What will happen when Juliana realises that she is desperately in love with the man her best friend has set eyes on?
Lord Glendon Cobham is a shy and reserved Duke, with a very painful past. Even though he is instantly captivated by Juliana, he will soon notice that his friend James tries to push him away from the red-haired beauty. Will Glendon manage to explain his friend’s odd attitude? Will he manage to claim the only woman who has filled his empty heart, despite the forces set against him?
A love that will be challenged in every possible way…
There will soon come a time that neither Juliana nor Glendon will be able to deny their strong feelings for each other. Little did they know that the arrival of an ambitious uncle, along with more unexpected hurdles, would perplex their lives even further. Will Juliana and Glendon manage to conquer this darkness and find true love this Easter? Or will their dream of a happy ending slip through their fingers?
"A Lady's Easter Romance" is a historical romance novel of approximately 80,000 words. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and a guaranteed happily ever after.
A sweet tale. It is a bit of a tangle in this charming and sweet tale. Juliana and Glendon did have their challenges from friends and relatives. They did try to fight the attraction because of the friends and relatives but in the end fate just took over the question is it a good or bad ending? I love how this was written the characters had a realistic feel to them and it was easy to get lost in the story. I am so glad I read this book I think it is one you will like also.
This is a delightfully gripping story, that will bring tears to your eyes. All the characters in this clean and sweet plot are amazing, and have their friendships tested to the max. The extended epilogue gives you a sense of how their lives develop and what happens with their relationships. I read an ARC copy.
The rarity of a love of two young people who are shyly reaching out to each other is heartwarming . This is. Better than an intricate plot. It is real, and the readers can feel an affinity for the feelings of the two lovers. The story is believable and Has a happy ending.this
This story had several good supporting characters, which helped give interest to sections that could easily be slow/boring. The main characters were unsure of themselves at times, but both did their best to make good decisions. It wrapped up nicely at the end. Good editing also!
I love the author's attention to detail! You can tell she's done her research on the era, with her description of the clothes, the china, and the events leading up to Easter.
Lady Juliana’s Easter romance is a sweet story about first love and the conflicts between friends vying for the same boyfriend. It’s a good story that probes motives, family and peer pressure that create conflict and can potentially destroy lives.
I love this sweet historical romance! Juliana is so considerate and compassionate! Glendon is a much deeper person than Juliana ever expects. I love the part when Juliana’s mom talks about the distance between two hearts.
Loved this story and their sweet spirits. Especially loved how supportive her parents were. Just adored her moms description of love! The exciting ending was great! Very good book!
I enjoyed this book very much. The only problem in their relationships was the evil, selfish uncle. Fortunately Glendon and Juliana's love was not damaged.
This is a Easter romance and the characters are realistic and some have jealousy as motivation The story is good and sweet and entertaining well written
This story digs deep into the feelings of our characters. There is a lot of toying with each other's emotions, and it creates quite a confusion at times. The dynamic that friends could do the horrible emotion playing to each other is abhorrent though. To allow someone to manipulate them especially when a young man is not sure of becoming earl, is also evil and abhorrent. It all comes ahead with a duel between the Duke and Victor with an evil Uncle out for blood. The biggest problem with this story is there are more words than action. It gets very tedious.
