Mediocre friends…✔️ Mediocre love life…✔️ Mediocre job…✔️ Mediocre everything…It's my norm. I've gotten used to living the same mediocre life day in and day out. It's simple, there's no drama and I'm free to do as I please. But when a new job opportunity presents itself, I do something out of the ordinary and go for it. Little did I know this job would put me down a path I've been shielded from my whole life.
My mediocre life isn't looking so bad after all…
Sullivan
Fame…✔️ Fortune…Cha-ching$$✔️ Fancy house…Duh✔️ Living the best life…far from it. Growing up I wanted nothing more than to be the one behind the camera, to live a simple life. But my mother had other plans for me and set my path for me at a young age. I'm ready to live the life I want to live. That is, until Celeste walks in. If staying at this job is what it takes to make it work, then so be it. But when her troubled past comes to light, I'm not so sure it was meant to be.
Can I look past these demons and love her the way I should?
I’m going 3 star here because I really love the plus size representation. It would be really helpful if the author got an editor/a better one/or better Betas. The plot is there, the concept is good, and it’s got lots of potential. But the character’s responses and personalities are all over the place, the pace isn’t great, and the emotional timing is off. No one is doing anything that makes sense. Why is a PR manger also a manger, a tour manger, and a personal assistant? Why is a guy that owns a car service also the head of security? Why would a money hunger emotional abusive mother care about hiring someone cause she’s a black woman? Why is a PR pitch you telling the client how you got hoe’d at your last job? Why are there so many love interest and I’ve seen nothing that makes me think this is RH? I just have a lot of questions lol

The book blurb did not do this book justice at all. Spoilers coming because this book blew away my expectations and I have to explain why, but I'll let you know some non-spoiler stuff first
Celeste - big, beautiful, and used to pretend friends taking credit for all her brilliant work. I loved this woman. She was neither overly self-conscious nor overly bold for a plus-size woman. Bigger heroines tend to swing between bold, brash, and dgaf or shy, introverted, and stumbling over how anyone could love their curves. T. Ashley wrote a perfect, real, woman. Celeste knows she's smart. She isn't afraid to wear sexy clothes, although she can get concerned about how others view her in those clothes if the situation changes. Just like a real woman would. She's charismatic and the kind of person you'd like to befriend because she gives things her all but also has boundaries in place.
This is my first T. Ashley book and I appreciate how body-positive and sex-positive it is. Body rolls and form-fitting clothes were not negative things nor were they fetishized. Guys may have liked Celeste's size, but they fell for the full package and didn't act ashamed of that. T. Ashley also had no qualms writing about masturbation, safe sex, or consent in realistic ways. None of it broke the mood of the delicious and downright panty-drenching scenes the author set up. I applaud that kind of talent.
OK now...spoilers ahead
All good? Okay.
"Three men, mama! Three!" - I giggled when Celeste said this because that's 100% how I felt about her uber sexy collection of men. I went in expecting one main man and was so happy to be wrong.
Sullivan - the singer needing a PR revamp. This man is smooth chocolate mixed with bitter feelings from a toxic relationship with his psycho mother and former manager. All about treating a woman right. Chaz - the entrepreneur/chauffer/head of security. Damn did he say all the right things and have all the right moves plus a little extra talent. All about consent. Luis - the bodyguard with boy-next-door vibes. The only white boy in the mix, Luis is ready to jump in the ring, but also willing to stay just friends if that's what Celeste needs. All about being there for her.
I follow this author on Tik Tok and she mentioned that this book had been a straight up contemporary romance that took a magic turn. I can totally see where this happened and yet it didn't break my enjoyment one bit. I was down for pr/manager stuck on a bus with her hotter than hell but off-limits client and his super-sexy security. We were well on our way and then the gods got involved and our contemporary suddenly got way more interesting.
Totally loved and now very interested in seeing this series grow.
I love Celeste, she’s a strong character that finally gets the attention she deserves. She gets the attention from three men so get ready for spice. She is stalked by someone and secrets surface. I did not see the ending coming but was pleasantly surprised.
This book took me on an unexpected ride—in the best way!
Celeste is doing the thing in the corporate world while her friend takes all the credit for her work. When opportunity knocks, she jumps at the chance to make her mark and represent a bigger-name celebrity. But with this opportunity comes the possibility of romance, drama, even a stalker—almost guaranteeing you’ll devour this novel in one sitting!
This book features a strong, unapologetic main character in Celeste who catches the eye of the men around her. Expect the unexpected when you sit down with this genre-bending read, and the cliffhanger? ::chef’s kiss::
I received an ARC of this book via the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Wow!!! I was not expecting any of the hotness or awesomeness that I just read!! T Ashley has completely blown me away with this story!!! I did not see any of the twists or turns that were revealed in the final chapter!!!
The heat and passion between Celeste & Sullivan and Celeste & Chaz is OFF THE CHARTS!!! I don’t know about you…but I definitely ended to pause and regroup after a few parts of this story.
I need to know what comes next!! Who ultimately gets the girl??? What is the real deal with both Elaine and Fiona? I have so many more unanswered questions that I need the answers to!
I highly recommend this book and can’t wait to read more from T Ashley!!!!
I absolutely LOVE Celeste and hope I can follow her around in multiple books in the future. This story is set up perfectly and really drags you in before you jump right off that cliff into the action. My only complaint is that i wish the action lasted longer. Drew me in a bit deeper into the drama. Made me feel ALL the things! And only when i thought all hope was lost, it would wrap me in a warm blanket and whisper happy endings into my ear. 😏
I truly didn’t know what to expect from this book, so I have to say there were lots of wonderful surprises.
Celeste is such a great character and I’m thrilled she got to shine. And shine she did with three men showing her interest, so know that there is some spice in there! :)
Also, be forewarned that it ends on a cliffhanger so don’t fight me! Hahaha
I really enjoyed this book. I did not expect fantasy to come into play at the end, but I am here for it. I think my favorite part was when Celeste was realizing Elaine wasn't her friend even before Elaine showed who she really was. That intuition was correct! This was a fun fast read and I can't wait to read more!

I wanted to read this book due to the plus-size lead and the reverse harem trope. I was not expecting there to be a bit of a mystery included in this story but I wasn't unhappy with it.
I did think some of the interactions were natural and the story plots were rushed at best. A bit more work with the plots and interactions between all the characters
It was hard to determine who the main villain was because there was more than one of them. I also wished there were more spicy scenes and a bit more details in the ones that were written
With some more work, I think this could be great. The foundation is there - it just needs some more work on the plot, character interactions and the spicey parts
This is my first why choose romance novel but it was the best introduction to that trope. It has a well developed plot but it felt a bit rushed towards the end. It is a cliff hanger which I didn't know when I started reading it.
I greatly enjoyed it and the description of Celeste is so befitting but I wish she was a bit bolder and more confident. That's the only thing I did not like. Chaz, Sullivan and Luis are all interesting characters because none of them is like the other but the common theme around them is Celeste.
This is much more than a love triangle plus. I didn't see the twist coming at the end. Speaking of the ending, when is the second book coming out. It was just getting good and it ended aburptly with a cliffhanger. This kind of annoyed me when I don't know if the story is going to be continued or not.
Celeste's story did capture me, but I didn't feel it was written to its best. There was a jump in time that wasn't clear until almost the end, and I felt like the characters connections were not developed.
This was not what I thought originally...Please be aware that it has some mythological elements in it, but T.Ashley integrated them very smoothly, that you don't notice them at first. My only issue is that it ends on a cliff hanger and I need the CONCLUSION NOW :)
How did I end up here? this book started out normal, and then turned into something totally amazing. I was not expecting the twist and turns of a story, and I’m excited for book two.
I really enjoyed this book. It started a bit slow for me, but then it picked up! I knew something was up, but the twist?! I was NOT ready for that! I certainly hope there is a follow up.
