I was in the mood for some nice, dirty, monster smut. What I got was 20 chapters of ridiculous introspection, a lot of running about, some light swordplay, a belt whipping, and one brief sex scene in chapter 21.

Aaaaaaaaaa, its hard to know where to start.
Ok, first this was a DNF for me .
Sometimes you don’t have finish the date to know they just aren’t right for you.
Meet for a drink or some kind and if they don’t have you wanting more politely leave .
Barely two chapters in ,I was confused about too many things, uninterested in what happened next and if it were a date I’d have been rudely sprinting for the door . Fat body or not .
Here’s a girl ,at what 10,11 ? (Sorry,but I don’t wanna go back and check) Loses her mother in tragic accident ( or was it?) and is left to decide whether to stay with two deeply strange/weird/abusive cousins ( possibly in an incestuous relationship) in her mothers house . For some reason. Now if all that wasn’t strange/weird enough ….
The place sounds insanely huge and yet in like eight years or something she can’t even once pull a Kevin ( a la “Home Alone”) and get away from them and get the best of them ? No one checks on her? On her safety ? To see even once why she’s not in school ?
Nothing ? Because all that sounded quite odd and it wasn’t really explained and she smirked her way across the house,like she was secret bad A ( which clearly she wasn’t ) ,while she’s telling us about how the only time she touches herself are the few times her horrible cousins are gone. Ok, one , I didn’t need to know that . I honestly had NO reason to care. I don’t know you ,I don’t care what your touching habits are. I’m barely into the book ,why are you telling me this. Two ,what? Do they watch her in the shower ? Or when she’s in bed at night ? Why can’t she do it then ? Ugh 😣. This girl was turning me off with every word she vomited my way.
She seemed 21 going on 12 and while I can guess why she was emotionally stunted,it wasn’t the sexy basis you need for starting a small RH. Anyway, she come off as emotionally stunted,well, not dumb but not that bright,I mean she has access to YouTube to try and “learn” how to pick the locks on her mothers rooms but yet NOTHING to help her get help in her day to life? Nothing she can use escape ? Nothing ?
No friends or anything ?
No world building . Nothing to really make this extremely odd situation make sense,just her oddly self congratulatory attitude and smirks as she gets into her mothers dark rooms ( never thinks about a light switch) and finds three big reptilian “men”.
And like any classically clueless TSTL all she seems to notice is what looks like big packages behind their leather looking loincloths . Seriously?
They expected more from her. Psst, so did I. Well, kinda,sorta. Unlike them though,I don’t find idiots sexy and I just couldn’t couldn’t continue with this unexplained idiot any longer .
How this is highly rated I know not . Writing isn’t easy I know , and I wish this one all the best. I really do. I knew this was supposed to me sex than anything when their equipment is mentioned in the books desc. I still need to care about the MC’s and I just couldn’t. Sorry.

Sadly, Hailey’s parents died in an accident and she’s lived in her large house, with her cousins as her guardians, for about 7 years. This is her family house, the home where her mother was raised.
Her cousins are much more interested in Hailey’s inheritance than Hailey herself, and this story begins in the eve of her 21st birthday. This birthday is Hailey’s legal and financial freedom.
With her cousins out of the house for once, on their final hurrah (on Hailey’s dime) she finally has the opportunity to investigate the forbidden and locked up wing, and search for her mother’s childhood room… changing her life forever.
This story is a fun RH, with a strong h and monstrous H’s. Longer than what I consider a quick read, but easily completed on a Sunday morning. I’ve read this author before, and it was fun to dive into a more paranormal, fantasy read. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for more in the Midnight Monsters series. I received a copy of this book and I’m voluntarily leaving a review.

Zero out of 10. I read this because I thought I was getting some dirty monster smut and maybe a little story. Nope. I read through like 20 chapters for a bunch of rambling, barely coherent plot and some spanking.... Really?
The first 19 chapters are basically just random world building and spankings and I was not impressed. The heroine acts like she's twelve, there is a whole random magic system and this thing with her cousin and lore we don't care to know and the actual smut was lame. You're telling me she slept with THREE huge lizard monsters and the cocks just "slid right in" and it lasted like 1 page

Monsters in My House
Wow, this book is amazing. I was intrigued by the tile but as I started reading I was hooked all the way til the very end. I absolutely love that Hailey is very smart, determined and fighter. I also, have to give it to Zel, Rivan and Usel for being understanding to Hailey’s predicament. I do love test Hailey seems to have a knack for knowing her Ourobori me without them telling her anything. Most of all I love how she got rid of Vanessa in style.

This book is proof they'll publish just about anything, there's barely a cohesive plot, the girl is "cum-drunk" just from the friction of her panties and the thought of being "naughty" 😒 I have no idea why I continued on with this book other than it was put on text to speech when I started my commute and I was stuck with it until I got home. unfortunately for me, they ended at the same time.

Not my usual read. Someone recommended it to me.
It was not what I was expecting. There is a storyline (more fantasy). There is more foul language than sex. But the foul language works with the story. You take the book for what it is and it is rather enjoyable.

Well, this was unexpected! I was expecting much more naughtiness and less of a plot and got a good story instead. It was really fun! Not so much heat as teasing with a really great scene at the end.
