Jessica Cunsolo’s With Me series continues with Jason and Jackson Parker who are all grown up now and ready to follow in their brother Aiden's footsteps.
Sisters Siena and Gia Amato have just moved to King City. On their first night in town, Siena is almost run over by the devastatingly handsome Jason Parker who’s trying to evade arrest after getting caught drag-racing by the police. While the circumstances of their meeting are less than ideal, Siena can’t deny the instant attraction she feels for him—even if it goes against every one of her “good girl” instincts. When a classmate goes missing and Siena’s life is endangered, she and Jason are thrust together. Suddenly, the stakes are even higher, and more than their hearts are on the line.
Jessica Cunsolo’s trademark blend of romance and mystery will appeal to fans of Aiden and Amelia’s story as well as new readers.
Jessica Cunsolo’s young adult series, With Me, has amassed over 140 million reads on Wattpad since she posted her first story, She’s With Me, on the platform in 2015. Firstly I want to start by saying the With Me series is probably one of my favourite series I’ve read! So when a friend told me there would be a book with Aiden’s younger brothers Jason and Jackson I could not wait!
This book is based on Siena Amato who needless to say has gone through some unfortunate events in her life. But these events lead her to a new town where she will be faced with more challenges and teenage dramas than she was prepared for. But what she truly didn’t expect was this kind, tall, and handsome stranger to help her through her journey as the new girl. I’ll say this book had me at the edge of my seat for the entirety of my reading it and if I could go back in time and read it again for the first time I would not hesitate to do so. In fact, if I could go back in time and re-read the With Me series over again I would do so! If this book intrigues you I definitely recommend reading the first three books: She’s With Me, Stay With Me, and Still With Me(you won’t regret it). But you could read this one on its own as well! I don’t want to ramble on so the last thing I’ll say is…read…this…book!!!
But seriously finally I want to give a huge shoutout and thank you to Jessica Cunsolo for sending me an ARC of this book! I truly and deeply appreciate it and I am sorry it took me so long to post this review! But after waiting so long for this book to be released the joy it gave me was definitely worth the wait<3
Thank you to NetGalley and Wattpad Books for sending me an eARC of this book!
Jessica did it again folks. I absolutely adore the She’s With Me series and I was SO excited to read this book- I was definitely not let down.
Returning to King City was as amazing as I hoped it would be. We got to see a grown up Jason and Jackson, we got so many She’s With Me references, and we got the action mixed with romance that made She’s With Me so good. Jessica put us back in a place we already knew but made it a completely different story, with different characters, and different stakes. It was the perfect sequel without actually being a direct sequel. This book doesn’t need She’s With Me to shine- it shined on its own.
The characters of Siena and Gia were fantastic, they were contradictions of each other and a perfectly imperfect sister pairing. Siena and Gia had their differences but you can tell they have so much love for each other. Siena would always protect Gia and while Gia was a 15 year old who was rebelling, she would always look up to her sister.
Jason and Jackson, the twins we already knew and loved- but they are older now. Jason is… he’s perfect, he’s amazing, an absolute dream. He’s so much like Aiden but he stands out in his own way and he doesn’t end up in Aiden’s shadow. I absolutely adored him. There wasn’t as much Jackson as I’d hoped but that’s okay because every scene we got from him was golden. He’s sarcastic and playful but you can tell how much he loves his brother. You can tell that Jason and Jackson would do anything for each other- and they do. (Also, the twin telepathy is real.)
This story is wild. Jessica gave us a lot of action in this one and a lot of mystery. She gave us a perfect mixture of romance and wild rides. Its unexpected and crazy but works so well.
I highly highly recommend reading this. Whether you have read She’s With Me or not, though I recommend reading that first, this will be an enjoyable book.
Huge thank you to Netgalley and of course Jessica Cunsolo for sending me this ARC in exchange for my honest review! I was so excited to read this book, the Stay With Me series has been on my TBR for a while now but when I saw this brand new spin-off, I just had to dive in. I was not disappointed!
Siena Amato and her kid sister Gia, might as well be orphans. Abandoned by their mother at a young age, they have been living with their aunt, who is definitely no role model. After a horrible incident occurs during one of her aunts wild parties, Siena winds up in juvie. When she is released a few weeks later she is surprised to hear that her father has agreed to house the two sisters. They haven't seen or heard from him in years, he took off pretty much the minute they were born, so this comes as a big shock. When Siena makes her way to the town where her infamous mother and father grew up, it is unfortunately not all white picket fences and family dinners in her future. Their father has zero interest in actually being a father, and would rather spend all his time away at work or just flat out ignoring them. So once again, it seems that Siena is left totally alone to try and pick up the pieces of what has become of their lives since the accident.
She starts her new life, with only three goals in mind: improve her grades, take care of Gia, and stay as far away from the police as possible. However... it's not exactly working out for her...she hasn't even been in King City for 24 hours before she finds herself with Jason Parker, the exact type of person she has sworn to stay away from. Just one look at him and she can tell he's trouble, if his devastatingly handsome face isn't the first indication, then maybe the fact that she ends up in a speeding car with him while he's trying to evade the police, is a better giveaway. This is the exact situation she wanted to avoid! But even after almost getting arrested AGAIN, she can't help but feel a strange attraction towards him.
After a local girl named Lily goes missing, Siena somehow ends up in the middle of the investigation, no doubt because of her past. To make matters worse, Gia begins spiraling out of control, drinking and getting involved with the wrong crowd. When things begin to be too much for Siena to handle alone, she cant help but to lean on Jason for support, especially when it seems like he's always around when she needs someone the most.
Finding herself in one impossible situation after another, she cant help feeling guilty for dragging Jason down along with her and getting him into trouble, especially since she was the one to originally accuse him of being the bad influence. She knows it'd probably be better for both of them if she just stayed away, but she cant seem to let him go. Jason quickly becomes the only person she can trust and that becomes crucial when Brandon, the person she suspects is actually involved in Lilys disappearance, sets his eye on her. Now it looks like she could be in even more trouble than she thought.
I loved the suspense in this book. My heart was pounding almost the entire time. I felt so bad for Siena and everything that just kept going wrong for her. She really does love her sister and is willing to do absolutely anything to protect her. I cant even imagine the relief of having someone else to share her burdens with, especially if that someone is Jason Parker. He genuinely cares for Siena, probably more that anyone else does in her life, something that she's definilety not used too. He is willing to go above and beyond for her, even if that means sitting in the back of a cop car with her. The two of them work great together, I loved their teamwork when trying to wrangle in Gia and also take down Brandon.
If you like action and drama packed books then you'll love Be with Me, it will have you on the edge of your seat until the very end. I hope that this becomes its own series, the cliffhanger in the end will be the death of me, I am so hooked!
Tropes: ❤ Protective (gets into fights for her) ❤ Willing to go to jail for her ❤ Dark secrets ❤ Damsel in distress ❤ Slow burn
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Jessica for sending me an arc of this book. I think I cried…ok I definitely cried (happy tears of course).
But other than that I only have two words…
Jason Parker.
That’s it. Thank you.
No but really, Jessica makes it so easy to love the characters she writes the friends and family of the main characters, the main characters themselves (besides you know the ones you’re not supposed to like lol). The Parker boys are no exception. I loved Aiden in the first three books and it was no different with Jason. And Jackson. These Parker boys carry so much love, loyalty and protectiveness for their loved ones you can feel it radiating off the page. I’m so attached to them it’s scary. Like seriously through the whole book I was like, “please be real, come to life outside of these pages Jason.” Not to mention my love for the main characters of her books, Siena in this case and Amelia from the first three. They’re all just so amazing. Anywaysssss….I can probably write an entire essay about my love for them but I won’t, instead talking about this amazing story (no spoilers of course). So a little backstory… Siena and Gia have moved to king because of an incident that happened and we follow Siena throughout the story as she navigates adjusting to king, the city itself her relationships with her sister, the new people she meets and living with her father. But that’s not without challenges. In true Jessica fashion she manages to add so much suspense and excitement in different ways, that you can’t help but sit at the edge of your seat or pace around your home as you read (I actually did both). This story was captivating from beginning to end. Like I said before so many scenes had me at the edge, but others I found myself holding my heart. This book was everything and more. It was the perfect mix of romance, suspense, mystery and more!! Jessica never fails incorporating different things such as these into an incredible story. I felt like all aspects were perfectly combined and created a journey for not only the characters but for us as we followed along this ride. If you haven’t already I do suggest reading the first three books based on Aiden, Jason’s older brother, especially since this book is almost here, it made the experience more special to me, being able to have that background. But this book can be read as a standalone nonetheless, but I definitely don’t think you’ll wanna miss those first three books because they’re just as amazing. BUT ON A FINAL NOTE I RECOMMEND WITH MY ENTIRE BEING THAT YOU SHOULD PRE-ORDER THIS BOOK AND READ IT WHEN IT COMES OUT, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!
Side note those snippets had me squealing! No joke! <3
thank you to wattpad books and tlc book tours for an early copy of this book!!
i absolutely adored thea and aiden’s story and i first read it when it came out on wattpad! i read their published books and i’m so happy the series continued with a new story!!
siena is such an amazing character. all she wanted was to stay out of trouble, get her grades up, and protect her sister. she’s gone through so much in her life and sacrificed so much to protect the ones she loves. siena deserves the whole world and i’m so happy she has jason who actually sees her.
jason is also such an amazing guy! after reading about his family’s past in the earlier books of the series, he has gone through a lot as well. he also protects the ones he loves and is always there for the people that need him. and he’s the only one who really sees and stands up for siena.
i love these characters so much!! i read this book all in one day because i could not put it down! (also the cover is beautiful!!) each chapter made me want to keep reading more to see what was going to happen next. this writing and storylines in this book is so well done and jessica cunsolo knows how to keep me wanting more!!
When I finished book three of this series I felt so lost and sad that I was done reading Thea and Aidens story😭 but then when scrolling through Amazon and seeing this book I was so pumped to get a spin off!!! I loved every second of this book and could not put it down! I definitely had one to many laughs and smiles and I’m just as sad now. Can’t wait for the next book (and if there isn’t going to be one, than I’m going to be one salty woman).
MY LOCAL B&N RELEASED THE BOOK EARLY AND IM ACTUALLY SO OBSESSED WITH JASON AND SIENA AND THEIR STORY AND THEIR RELATIONSHIP AND THE WHOLE WITH ME SEIRES AS A WHOLE
4.5 ⭐️ What I loved: ✨Small town vibes: perfect setting, where everyone in high school knows everyone, cool kids having the parties, rumors spread faster than wildfire ✨Siblings: I loved both Siena/Gia (Amato sisters) and Jason/Jackson (Parker twins). The sibling relationship is everything you expect and want in a story - love and sacrifices shine brilliantly. ✨Romance: Jason’s white knight personality swooningly balances Siena’s unwanted damsel in distress. You can’t help but fall in love with this slow-burn teenage romance, which is perfectly suitable for the younger YA audience.
Be With Me can easily be read as a stand-alone novel. The drama, romance, and mystery kept me enthralled for 24 hours while I willingly ignored the rest of my life. 😂 I loved this one so much that I now want to read books 1-3. A few threads in Be With Me are not resolved, so I’m hoping for book five. 🤞🏻
*Thank you to NetGalley and Jessica Cunsolo for sending me and eARC in exchange for an honest review!*
Jessica Cunsolo can’t write a bad book. It’s just not possible. I am OBSESSED with her With Me trilogy and this spinoff was everything I could’ve wanted and more. Sometimes spinoff books feel forced or they feel like repeats of the original books in the series. Be With Me was able to keep the same essence of the With Me trilogy while still feeling like an original story. Be With Me obviously still took place in the same location (King City) but Cunsolo was able to bring a brand new feeling to it.
Also, reading about grown up Jason and Jackson?! Wow, I’m in tears. I could go on about this whole series forever and I’m so sad to have finished reading this book. I tried to draw it out as much as possible but eventually got to the point where I just wanted to know what happened. Now I need the next book ASAP!
I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Jessica does it again! This book is different from the first 3 books, since it follows new characters, so we get an entire new story but still the same vibe as the she’s with me series. I was sucked into the story from the very first sentence. This book follows Siena and her sister Gia as they move to King City after an *event* forces them to move in with their estranged father. (Keeping it spoiler free). I loved the way Siena meets Jason Parker, a.k.a. Aiden‘s little brother who is now all grown up from the first series. What I love about the story is that Siena and Jason are their own people and completely different from Amelia and Aiden and what we’ve read in the past. Where Amelia is strong in the sense that she’ll kick your butt the second someone pisses her off, Siena is so strong in a different way that I found more relatable. She’ll do anything for her family and we get to see how she navigates this new world while trying to balance being there for her sister after the backlash of that *event*, managing everyone else’s expectations of her and how they perceive her to be, and the disappearance of her friend. I loved every interaction between Jason and Siena, they seem to be exactly what the other person needs. I loved the drama in this book and also loved the hints of old characters we got without it feeling stale. You do not need to read the first series to enjoy this book, but I loved the With Me series so I definitely recommend it!
This book gave me the same feelings as the She’s With Me series and I am living for it. I missed this universe a lot. The thing I love about Jessica Cunsolo’s books is that, when I am reading, I genuinely do not feel the time go by. 300 pages feels like 40. I could finish her books in one sitting. It’s just so easy to read. The friendly first person point of view feels like the character is speaking to me as if I was her friend. The many relationships we got in this book were so sweet. Siena and Gia portrayed a sister relationship pretty well. I love how even though they fought they were ALWAYS there for each other. I already knew Jason and Jackson but seeing them interact more just made my heart melt. They have one of the purest bonds ever. They do what the other says WITHOUT QUESTION. They trust each other with anything and I AM OBSESSED WITH THEM. It’s super weird to see them all grown up because last I remember they were little kids. I was really disappointed that Aiden and Thea weren’t in this book. I could have loved some interactions. Only one phone call and a couple of dialogues from Aiden was NOT ENOUGH. I was screaming every time I saw his name. Oh and now Thea and him are engaged???? I AM THRILLED ABOUT THAT! I wish they had more books, but I like reading about Jason as well. I am excited for the second book because there is so much to resolve and talk about. I would like to complain about one thing though. THEY KISS ON PAGE 300 SOMETHING??? That is way too late. It was a slow slow slow burn but it didn’t bother me too much because there was so much more happening. Nothing can beat the OGs and their friend group though. I really miss their scenes and Noah’s jokes. We don’t really have a friend group in this book, but I think it is kind of forming slowly. Lastly, I wanna add, I see SO MANY similarities between Jason and Aiden. It is so obvious they are brothers. Jason is super sweet, caring and he is raising my standards everytime he opens his mouth. The fact that he is just ALWAYS THERE TO HELP and his protectiveness towards Sienna made me love him so much.
OMFGGGGGG THE CLIFFHANGER- BRO I WAS GASPING FOR AIRRRRR. i fucking love jasonnnn he deserves the world and more and also jackson makes me laugh so much he deserved more writing time but still i love them smmmm
The amount of times I hear the phrase “I’d sell my soul to read my favourite book for the first time again” among the reading community is insane, and I must admit I have felt that way since I first read the With Me series 6 years ago. And then I was given the opportunity to read Jessica’s spin off book from the series in exchange for an honest review and it was the closest to that feeling that a reader could get.
Being back in this world felt like being home but with exciting new plots, drama and characters to still be refreshing. I absolutely adore the relationship between Siena and her little sister Gia. It was so infuriatingly similar to the relationship I have with my little sibling, that it brought a different level of dimension to our FMC. The love and protectiveness she feels for her younger sister while also feeling in the dark about parts of her life were so raw and beautifully written. And don’t even get me started on Jason. He is the same fun and lovable character with the hilarious one liners that he was when he was a kid and seeing him grown was a real treat. I was living for the banter he and Siena shared from their first meeting and the running inside jokes between them that kept appearing throughout the book. I adored that Jason was able to be there for her in a way that no one in her life ever had been and gave her the love and protection she so easily gives to everyone else.
And of course, it wouldn’t be a Jessica Cunsolo book without the high stakes and slight thriller elements that make it unable to put down the book because you need to know what happens next. I mean the opening line in the book is “No one warns you how much blood there will be when you stab someone in the neck” and it only gets better from there, between missing neighbours, car chases and avoiding the police, I was literally unable to put the book down.
This book in no means needs the rest of the With Me series to shine, however the quick references made in this book to the first three were so witty and made me smile from ear to ear. Whether it was an inside joke or a mention of the past characters, it held such a punch of warmth and nostalgia, I was just so happy to be reading it.
So, whether you are new to the series or have returned home, this book has just the right amount of love, drama and general fun to keep any reader entertained. I loved it.
I have never been so happy to re-enter a world as much as I am reading this story. Like I have said before, this world is my second home. And seeing a fresh new story with new characters and some old was like returning home after a long vacation. First of all, I love the fact that we get to see Jason and Jackson all grown up. It was like watching them grow up in a way. I loved how much they admired and respected not only each other, but their older brother Aiden. All three of them are so alike yet so unique in their own ways. I ate up every conversation that Jason had with Siena about his brother and his friends and what they were all up to at this point in time. Moving over to Siena, I absolutely feel for her. Everyone already has this preconceived opinion about her based off of actions that were not entirely her fault and by who her mother was. Having to mother her sister and watch as she makes bad decisions reminded me of how Aiden had to become the parental figure for his younger brothers at such a young age. I cannot wait to see what happens next but I need to point out the elephants in the room... AIDEN AND THEA ARE ENGAGED AND AIDEN GRADUATED FROM LAW SCHOOL AS WELL AS LECTURES JASON EVERY TIME HE GOES TO THE TRACKS BUT ALSO YELLS OUT TIPS IN THE MIDST OF YELLING AND IF THAT ISN'T THE MOST AIDEN PARKER THING HE EVER DOES THEN I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT... okay I got it out of me. I absolutely cannot wait for the next installment whenever it comes out. Thank you for coming to my tedtalk.
If you have not read any of Jessica Cunsolo's With Me Series....what are you doing with your life?!
The characters are so real. They make you laugh your ass off and cry your eyes out. Don't even get me start on the romantic tension that is in these books. Enemies to lovers? YES PLEASE. This series does it right, just the right about of tension built in with utter sweetness.
10/10 recommend. It will not disappoint. I am not a binge reader, but I stayed up all night reading this series!!
I'm not typically a romance reader, but I picked this one up and found the prose to be quite interesting and engaging. The author has a fresh voice and sincerity that makes you root for the characters and you care about what happens to them. Very good read, and now have to go read the others. Good job author.
Absolutely love this series and I am so excited for the next installment! I cannot wait for this book to come! All the characters are super memorable and relatable! I love how the story is told, the suspense, the humor, and especially the romance! Super excited!
I have been a long-term fan of the "With me" series by this very talented author. Her stories are full of drama, romance, and great characters that I've fallen in love with.
Highly recommend you read it when it comes out! I am totally "with" this series!
- this automatically became a comfort read for me - romance & mystery - protective mmc - high school romance & drama - perfect spin-off novel!! - captivating and fast paced - jason and siena <3 - THEIR TAYLOR SWIFT SINGING FEST IS PERFECTION - this books gives me the urge to lay in the mud while it’s raining - the epilogue left me blankly staring at the wall trying to comprehend what happened
Anything Jessica writes, I will read!! “Be With Me” is so enthralling from the very start and I could not put it down. I feel like I just inhaled this book and it was such a fun, yet suspenseful read. Every aspect of this book was just impeccable.
Love the combinations of different genres seen in this book (romance, comedy, mystery, etc.) I enjoyed reading about all of these characters so much!! They are so effortlessly funny and likeable. This book not only displays Jason and Siena’s flourishing romantic relationship but also brought familial problems and relationships to light. Siena and Gia’s sisterly relationship captures the turbulence and beauty of sisterhood so well.
Jason and Siena’s story is so special and I love the way they get along so easily. Jason is so understanding towards Siena and does not judge her for her past. They also compliment each other so well and have a lot in common, while still serving as foils. Jason always knows exactly how to comfort Siena and they both grow at ease with each other. The scene where they are dancing in the rain together will forever be special to me. Also, as a Swiftie i highly approve of Siena and Jason bonding over Lover.
Additionally, I enjoyed the dynamic of Jason and Jackson’s relationship and how they can communicate on such a personal level. It was similar to their relationship from the SWM trilogy and it was nice to see that they were able to preserve that into their teen years. They are both so sweet and have some similar qualities to Aiden but are also different because of how they grew up in better circumstances than him. Jason and Jackson also contrast each other with Jason being more reserved and Jackson being comedic.
I have absolutely adored the “With Me” series for so long and this new instalment is just incredible. “Be With Me” is an amazing spin-off from the SWM trilogy. It is similar to the original series in some ways, but it is also so different and unique in its own way.
I kind of like how the old characters did not appear directly and were only mentioned a few times because it allowed Jason and Siena’s story to have the spotlight. The subtle mentions/appearances of them throughout the story were really comforting for me because of how it showed that they were happy and thriving as adults. Finding out that Aiden and Thea got engaged made me soooo happy!!
Everything about this book was executed so well. This is exactly what I needed to start off the new year!! I feel like such a proud reader just seeing how far Jessica has come as an author and I can’t wait to read her future novels. I am beyond excited to find out what happens next in “Belong With Me”!!
Thank you so much to NetGalley, Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group, and Jessica Cunsolo for letting me read this eARC!!
I always adore the friendships in these books. As well as the slow burn, the tension. It’s magnificent. Jason Parker is literally WRITTEN BY A WOMAN. He’s so incredible. Like the blue print. The STANDARD. Also Jess has this immense talent when it comes to writing ‘villains’. They’re all so PUNCHABLE. Like they literally make my blood boil. The story is so engrossing. I love how you can just fall into these stories and forget everything else. I’ve been reading these books since Jess was updating them on Wattpad. So proud of her.
Please tell me we are getting another book because I enjoyed this one so much!!! I love thé little crumbs of the friend group from Aiden to Mason and all of our favourites! This book was seriously so good. The suspense, the plot, everything absolutely amazing. Jason and Siena are so cute. They are so cute plus they are two of the most selfless characters ever, Jason and Jackson their twin bond is so fun to read about! Siena and Gia have a rocky sister bond but at the end of the day they love each other and by the end of the book we get to see their bond become a bit more stronger.
rating 4.5- i actually took longer to read this book and i'm glad i did because i loved this one. the romance between siena and jason is so sweet. one day i want a supportive, sweet, and protective guy like him because he really did help siena. this book was one i thoroughly enjoyed but, it seriously could've ended better, since it ended kind of on a cliffhanger. not sure if she's going to write any more books but fingers crossed she does because i love all these character.
What an amazing book and an amazing spin-off to a fantastic series. Seeing Aiden's younger brothers grown up and getting into their own troubles is so much fun. Everything is extremely well written and kept me engaged the entire time. I could not put this book down. I am so excited for the next installment of this series!
unfortunately it just didn't feel the same as the previous books :( i went in with high hopes that it was going to bring me the same stakes and excitement but i just didn't click with the characters or the plot this time ://
