A routine transport goes wrong, and the country is thrown into the Worst Case Scenario.
Ambushed in New Mexico, a Department of Energy convoy loses all their escort personnel—and six nuclear warheads. The President orders all law enforcement, military, and intelligence agencies into the search. And because the warheads need to be located before word is leaked to the public—or worse—Troy Bishop with the Proactive Preemptive Group (P2OG) is dispatched.
The weapons have disappeared without a trace; the Department of Defense and FBI have turned up no viable leads. But Bishop’s chance encounter with a Native American woman offers a slim clue. What first appears as a serious risk to national security soon becomes an all-out race to stop a madman with the will and ability to take down the government. The deeper Bishop investigates, the more disturbing the threat.
The clock is ticking down to a holocaust, and there may not be enough time to stop it.
Fans of Tom Clancy and Brad Thor will feast on this fast-paced political thriller from the man who has been on the inside, retired Secret Service agent Larry Enmon.
Larry Enmon is retired from the U.S. Secret Service, where he acted as liaison between the USSS and FBI, working in the Joint Terrorism Task Force. He also received training from the CIA in the investigation and production of weapons of mass destruction.
In addition to his political thrillers, he is the author of the Rob and Frank mystery series. Larry lives in North Texas with his wife, and they both enjoy getting away from it all at their East Texas ranch and North Carolina mountain cabin.
“Biowatch”, “Worst Case Scenario”, and “Class III Threat’ are three novels by Retired U. S. Secret Service Agent Larry Enmon. Similar to Michael Conneley’s background as a crime reporter, Larry’s experience working JTTF and WMD assignments gives his thrillers a reality that most writers simply can’t create on research alone.
I’ve just finished reading two of the three books in this series (though not in correct order - which doesn’t seem to really matter.) From the first pages, they are tough to put down. If Hollywood can stick to the story, these could become terrific big screen hits, someday.
Larry Enmon’s Troy Bishop is a classic hero. Fearless, tough, and smart as he can be. Worst Case Scenario puts him in his element with time ticking down to a monumental act of terror. Bishop is the one person who not only knows how to stop it, he puts himself in a place to do it. As a former Secret Service agent, Enmon possesses the insight to give credible detail to the intrigue of the main caper, and his years of experience at the keyboard allow him to do a masterful job of balancing suspense and danger in a way that fans of the thrillers will greatly enjoy.
Another fine thriller from Larry Enmon. Three-dimensional characters, realistic suspense. makes one want to keep reading. Can't wait for his next effort. You won't be disappointed.
