Carly has a gift that is not easily understood, her partner, for example, doesn't want to listen to or know about it. This story is rather interesting as it involves a few strange characters and paintings. No Way Left has a good plot, it's fast-paced and well-written, it has solid main characters, and leaves the reader wanting more!
## This one was a tad weird for me. Don't get me wrong, still a good read. Especially if you're reading the series in order. I think I would've been a little lost had I not just read book 3 (which I recommend doing first). HOWEVER, the whole "monster" thing was a bit far fetched for me. I don't mind a little paranormal. In fact, Carly's visions usually make things interesting. Honestly, at first I thought the author jumped the shark with this one. Coming at Carly was a monstrous beast with huge saucer eyes, ears like a bat, twisted horns, scales like a reptile, webbed feet, and saber-like teeth. Say what now? It's gaping nostrils and fiery breath had her frozen in fear. Huh? But it all came together in the end, and the author explained what this beast represented. Anyway, other than that, a good solid read.
I did not enjoy this one as much as the first three. I agree with others who’ve said maybe it’s just getting old and repetitive at this point. This one was also a bit weirder than the others.
This series is like potato chips, you can't stop at one book. The plots are still fresh and more insight into the character and their relationships. I just can't seem to put these books down.
