3.5 smut-scale stars!
Jax finally finds his mate in Ruby's friend Chrisinda! He can't wait to make her his but not only is she unaware of the shifter world but she lives with her evil stepmother. This is Cinderella style romance with steam and a HEA! Enjoyed it.

Jax (H), a wolf shifter who looked for his fated mate far and wide, is shocked when he scents Chrisinda (h) when Ruby asks him to check on how her friend is doing. He quickly realizes that she’s being mistreated by her family and wants nothing more than to protect her. Chrisinda is unaware of shifters and fated mated but luckily for Jax she sees something in his eyes. Lovely hot and steamy fated mates shifter quickie with a side of drama. A reimagining of Cinderella with some shifter love.

My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.
Chrisinda is the Cinderella of this story, her father is always working and her stepmother and stepsister use and abuse her terribly. The story picks up sort of from the previous book, Marking Red, she had to leave Ruby and return home when her stepmother called. She’s been stuck there for a month, the hero from Marking Red asks his friends to go and check on her. Jax and Sayer both wolf shifters arrive at her house and see her in worn dirty clothes working while her stepsister is laying out catching some sun. When Jax sees her he thinks she’s beautiful and smells her scent he knows she’s his mate. He’s not happy at the way she is treated and won’t leave until he can see her again. Sayer is the one to talk to her and she assures him she will be leaving the next morning. She leaves and the guys follow. Back in town he visits Kade to find out where his mate is, she’s with Ruby at her grandmother’s house. Ruby has talked Chrisinda into leaving her terribly family and move to town and the two will start their Etsy business. She agrees and Jax shows up, they decide Jax will drive her back home to pack her things, and Ruby and the guys will bring the moving van.
Back home her stepmother refuses to let her take anything and her stepsister attacks her, she wants Jax for herself. Jax saves her from the stepsister and takes her back to his car. She says she only wants one thing from her room, her mother’s scrapbook and necklace. Jax sneaks into the house and gets it from her attic room. On the drive back to town she asks him if he is a shifter. Ruby told her about shifters and she really hopes Jax is one and that she is his fated mate. He tells her he is and invites her to dinner at his house. When she arrives he explains that she is his mate and they have their first time together. More sexy times, her dad calling to chastise her but Chrisinda isn’t alone anymore, she is loved by Jax and has friends now too. She tells her dad off and cuts all ties with him. I love yous, more sexy times, Jax proposes, and an epilogue five years later with two kids and her dad still trying to talk to her because he knows Jax has money.
We did not see Jax shift for her even once. Did his wolf not want to meet his mate?

Argumento:

Mi humilde opinión:
La historia de Jax y Chrisinda está basada en el cuento de Cenicienta.
Chrisinda es una joven atrapada por la maldad y manipulaciones de su madrastra. Un personaje que ya apareció en el libro anterior y es la amiga de Ruby. Esta le explica sobre los shifters y por eso está preparada para el reclamo de Jax. Él solo quiere su felicidad y protegerla. Me gustó que finalmente se sintiera valorada y querida, y que después no quisiera tener nada que ver con su familia.
No es un retelling distinto a los que ya leí antes pero tiene un giro diferente porque no solo estaba la madrastra y hermanastra para maltratar a Cenicienta/Chrisinda sino tambien el padre que es un hombre desamorado. Eso no me lo esperé.
Es un romance rápido, dulce y sexy sin complicaciones y súper insta. De mesita de luz como le digo yo, cuando se quiere algo rápido para leer
El epilogo a 5 años es muy parecido a los de los otros libros, con dos niños y una reunión con todos los amigos de libros anteriores.

Jax is a wealthy alpha male wolf shifter tasked to check-in on Chrisinda, as her best friend Ruby hasn’t heard from her in a couple weeks. He’s stunned to learn that this mistreated beautiful girl is his fated mate. He devises a plan - take her away from her awful family, make her fall in love with him, and spend eternity together. He promises to worship her and never let any harm come to her again. Their chemistry is undeniable and neither fight their desires. Even though Chrisinda is human, she takes to the shifter world quickly and handles it well. Jax shows her in every way that he will meet her needs and more. There are a few bumps on their journey to a happily-ever-after, but they get there and it is so sweet!

This is the 3rd book in the Once Upon a Shifter series featuring the sweet and sexy shifter twist on Cinderella. Jax is the Alpha male and he hasn't found his fated mate yet and although he's wealthy money doesn't make him happy he wants to find his mate. Chrisinda is a nice and innocent young lady with a miserable home life her father is oblivious and never around her stepmother is mean and her stepsister is a stuckup princess. For years they've treated her like a servant in her own home having her live in the small attic space. Jax has been tasked with checking in on Chrisinda since her best friend Ruby hasn't heard from her in weeks and he's shocked to discover that the beautiful girl who's being abused is his fated mate. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this sweet and sexy shifter twist on Cinderella to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book and I'm looking forward to the next book in this wonderful series.

I loved Mating Cinderella Book 3 of Once Upon a Shifter. Chrisinda can’t escape her evil stepmother and stepsister. They work her to the bone, take all her money and make her sleep in the attic. When Ajax realizes she is his fated mate he will do anything to rescue Chrisinda from her nightmare. He must be careful as he isn’t sure what she knows about shifters and he doesn’t want to scare her. Chrisinda Leaves in the middle of the night and runs. Thanks to her friends and Jackie she is free from the evil but how will she respond when she finds out Jax is a shifter? This was a super cute story and I love the characters. It is a quick read. I would definitely recommend this book and the series. Can’t wait for the next book.

This is book number 3 of the Once Upon a Shifter series and focuses on Jax and Chrisinda. Jax has spent years looking for his fated mate to no avail. When he is asked to go check in on Chrisinda and make sure she’s okay, he doesn’t expect to finally find his mate. He knows he has to get her out of the awful living situation she is in due to her step-mother and step-sister. Jax wants to free her from the life she’s been living and give her all the love and protection she has been sorely lacking in her life. He knows he is the person meant to care for Chrisinda the way she deserves and is determined to win his mate over as soon as possible. This was a great story and a great addition to the series.

Oh God! This book! This book is AMAZING. I would totally recommend this novella to anyone.
Jax was so adorable the way he wanted to be with her but his friends needed to hold him back to not scare her. Also, Chrisinda was amazing. I loved these two characters a lot. They had such a great relationship and their spice scenes were immaculate. I'm so sad I don't get to experience this book again for the first time.

I absolutely love the newest book in the Once Upon a Shifter series. This book is based on the Cinderella fairy tale. We first met Chrisinda in Ruby's story, and she is a slave to her stepmother and step sister. When Jax and Sayer are sent to check on her, Jax realizes she is his fated mate. I absolutely love their perfect story, and I really adore this series. Skye always gives us the greatest shifter stories.

Jax finally gets his turn finding his fated mate. Only Sayer remains without a mate and the poor guy is the one who really wanted one! We'd met Chrisinda in the previous book and knew her home life wasn't great. Her stepmother and stepsister were horrible people who managed to tear her down every chance they got. Jax was a sweetheart. I enjoyed watching him squirm as he tried to figure out how to tell Chrisinda what he was and who she was to him.
After her lifelong poor treatment, the question is whether Chrisinda will be able to trust the love of a fated mate is forever.

This was a short yet sweet and steamy read. Chrisinda and Jax were wonderful together. I loved that Jax was really sweet and protective of Chrisinda. Chrisinda has had a very heard life but that all gets changed when Jax comes into her life. These two are really sweet yet steamy together and I loved the connection and chemistry between them. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

sweet shifter romance
No one does sweet shifter romances like Skye Alder and I love the Cinderella retelling! This third book definitely builds from the previous ones so don’t sleep on those. They’re all quick, sweet, fairytale retellings too with a shifter twist.
I loved how hard Jax feel for his mate, Chrisinda. I mean, that’s the whole deal with shifters, but Jax was pretty sweet how he swooped in and saved the day and built up Chrisinda’s confidence too.

Absolutely wonderful story! Jax went to check on a Ruby’s friend for her and realises straight away she’s his fated mate. Now he needs to get Chrisinda away from her awful family so he can show her how loved and special she is! Sweet, steamy story with amazing chemistry, true love, lots a romance, a wonderful, protective, loving hero and a beautiful HEA.

Chrisinda has a hard life thanks to her stepmom and stepsister and her negligent dad. A friend of Ruby’s, Ruby sends some friends to check on her. With one sniff, Jax finds his mate. Chrisinda and Jax are the perfect couple, the storyline is wonderful - what a great read.

This was a great fated mates romance. I’m really enjoying this series of fairytales retelling the shifter edition. This was a Cinderella retelling and I loved it. Jax and Chrisinda had amazing chemistry and I loved how quickly she accepted the shifter side of things. Great story.

A fast paced novella of searching for his mate, only to find in Windy Pines, next to his small town of North Star. Liked the similarities to the fairytale of Cinderella, with some major differences that play an impact on how Chrisinda decides to pursue the rest of her life.

A very sweet retelling of Cinderella, Jax easily and swiftly takes on the role of Prince Charming. Sin's stepmother and stepsister are awful but what is truly criminal is that her father allowed her to be treated terribly. Sin didn't hesitate to leave her painful past behind her for a brand new life with her mate. I adore the family this friends group is creating, its truly precious.

I loved this story! There was some uncomfortable moments in the story, just like the famed original story. But all it did was make the sweet and happy moments mean so much more. Super sweet, fits the Cinderella story line perfectly. I loved Chrisinda in Ruby’s story so I was glad to see her get her happy ending with Jax. He was perfect for her, I loved that he wanted a lifetime of taking care of her. Minimal action, sweet heat.
