This one was pretty fast and sorta tiny retelling of little red ridding hood.. and this wolf really does eat his girl ;).
We met Kade in his friends book he's alittle jelouse his friend already found his mate and he wants that, he spots someone when he's walking home and his wolf already knows its their mate. There first meeting wasn't to bad just alittle awkward, but he tries again and it goes good Ruby is sweet but she's dealing with the death of her grandma and moving her things this is what Kade doesn't want.
So he woos her into dinner and explains to her what a shifter is no drama in that no real drama between the couple only drama is the problems Ruby's friend is in. But that's with her family and one of Kades friends. Which we shall see next. These two are sweet as sin.
No ow/om drama, no cheating, slight secondary character, sexy times, both virgins

Marking Red is a loose retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. Kade has searched for his fated mate for quite some time and isn't happy that he hasn't found her. Luck is on his side though and he finally catches her scent. He discovers Ruby at her grandmothers packing up her belongings after her passing.
Kade is determined to be there for Ruby and be the shoulder to lean on. He is determined to show her what being fated to a shifter means. Both Kade and Ruby were enjoyable characters but they did feel a little flat.

Kade is a wolf shifter who has been looking for his fated mate for a long time. When he had no luck finding her, he decided to return home for a break. He is thrilled when his best friend finds his mate in a human and his wolf pushes him to go out searching again. Before he could decide to leave, he is surprised to find the scent of his mate coming from the house next door. He meets Ruby his mate and finds out that she is in town to empty her grandmother's house to be ready to sell. He will do everything he can to convince her to stay and mate with him.

Argumento:

Ruby James.
Su pelo rojo, esas curvas, su risa contagiosa. Todo es como un canto de sirenas para él. Uno que es incapaz de resistir.

Marking Red es la historia de Ruby y Kade basada en Caperucita Roja.
A diferencia de la historia anterior, la heroína es humana pero me gustó que supiera de los shifters y que aceptara a Kade. Sin conflictos allí realmente.
Los momentos de Kade con su lobo eran divertidos. Me encanta cuando los shifters muestran ese lado y lado animal. Me gustó que fuera comprensivo y paciente con Ruby.
La historia era linda, corta y sexy pero sentí que nada más sucedía.
Tuve un momento con Ruby de "¿Es en serio?!" Porque me pareció totalmente estúpido su pensamiento cuando se aleja de Kade, que lo conoció hace dos días, que no puede pensar claramente con él cerca, que tiene una vida en otro lado, que no sabe si lo suyo puede ser para siempre. LAS PAREJAS DESTINADAS SON PARA SIEMPRE! Lo sabía, se lo dijo su abuela y de lo dijo Kade! Te mordió Ruby y te dijo que eras su compañera! Qué pensaste que significaba? Por qué creía que dolía alejarse de él? Me pareció que no entendió nada. Y todo para qué? Para decidir al final que odiaba su trabajo y su vida en Windy Pines.
El final feliz está con un capítulo a 5 años después con los niños visitando a los tíos Chrisinda y Jax. Al parecer la amiga no era la compañera de Sayer.

Rudy has come to town to pack up her recently deceased grandmother’s house, her grandmother was the one who raised her after her neglecting parents died. Her bestie Chrisinda has come to help, but she is over worked by her stepmother and stepsisters who constantly need her and has to leave.
Kade is a shifter, while out he spots Ruby’s red hair and his wolf gets her scent and he knows she’s his fated mate. He goes over and they talk for just a moment before being interrupted by Chrisinda. Ruby can’t get over how handsome he is and feels such an attraction to him.
Tired the girls decide to start fresh tomorrow packing up the house. Kade covertly watches Rudy, his friend comes by and is happy Kade has found his mate. Now Kade needs to tell his mate about his wolf and get her to stay with him forever.
The next morning he brings over breakfast, Chrisinda needs to go home to her step family, leaving Kade and Ruby alone together. While looking adoringly at Ruby she notices Kade’s eyes glowing, that reminds her of a story her grandmother told her when she was a little girl about shifters and how they mated for life. Their attraction to each other is intense, especially since the mating moon is that night. He’s trying to tell her about his wolf when she comes out and asks him if he is a shifter. He shows her his wolf and after they have their first time together. Lots of sexy times and very little drama or angst. What little there is is caused when Rudy goes back to her grandmother’s house, she actually solves it herself by internally talking it out and deciding to stay with her mate.
I love yous and an epilogue five years later with two kids. A sneak peak into the next story for Chrisinda and Kade’s friend Jax, it’s a Cinderella retelling.

LOVED IT! The Skye Alder pseudonym duo of Cameron Hart and Shaw Hart scored another winner with Ruby and Kade's story. We are introduced to him first and see he and his wolf are longing for their mate. Kade's been traveling around searching for her but to no avail. He's returned home from another trip, still with no mate.
As he heads back to his place, he sees Ruby. She's in town b/c her grandma has passed away, so she's arrived to pack up her grandmother's belongings, and sell her house. Once Kade sees her, he and his wolf recognizes her as their mate. They are ecstatic but wary because Ruby is human. What follows is a low angst, high heat love story. The sex is explicit which I find hot ❤️🔥🔥. Beware if it's not your thing. But the sexy times are not the main focus. Alder also does a great job at character development in a short amount of time. She also sets up the storyline for Ruby's best friend, Chrisinda. It's clear Chrisinda's story will be book 3, and I can't wait!

Kade is a calm and collected wolf shifter that yearns to find his fated mate after years of searching with no luck. When his mate’s scent suddenly hits him, he is thrilled to find a red headed curvy bombshell not far from his cabin. She’s absolute perfection and his wolf is going crazy to claim her. Except he has to control his behavior around her since she is a human and has recently suffered a loss. Kade is the big bad wolf (not really bad…) and Ruby is little red riding hood. Ruby is smitten with Kade upon meeting him and floored that someone so handsome would be interested in woo’ing her. This short story was fast-paced, sweet, romantic, and super steamy. Kade wanted to give the world to Ruby, especially after her past traumas, and I just adored their connection!

I loved Marking Red Book 2 of Once Upon a Shifter. Kade is happy his friend found his mate but he’s also a little jealous. He longs for his mate. Ruby is sad, she’s cleaning out her grandmothers home to sell and it’s breaking her heart. When a stranger shows up she has an undeniable pull to him. The second he saw Ruby his wolf started going crazy, he found his mate. Now he just needs to find a way to explain about shifters and mates and hope she doesn’t run. Will Kade and Ruby have a HEA? Loved this book and the characters. Can’t wait for the next in the series. I would definitely recommend this book.

Kade loves the North Star pack but he's getting lonely as he hasn't found his fated mate yet. When walking home, he smells her and is frozen in place. He doesn't know how to proceed because she's human. Deciding to knock on her door, they are both shocked. He knows that she's meant to be his. Eventhough Kade is gorgeous, she doesn't understand the instant attachment she feels toward him. Can Kade convince Ruby that they're meant to be together forever? I'm loving the fairytale theme in these books and this was an amazing red riding hood-ish retelling that stood out of its own. I really liked how it opened up and how you could feel the moment their connection started come alive on the page. Their first interaction was great too, it started slow and then next thing you know they are getting super serious and you know that some delicious stuff is on its way! I loved how it still fit in with the previous book and also how it opens up the next book and the rest of the series and of course leaves you craving more! This was a perfection of shifter romance where you know how it's going to end but you also know your going to enjoy the journey to get there!.

Book two of the "Once Upon a Shifter" series brings Kade to the forefront as he finds his fated mate, Ruby. Kade is as clueless as the other guys as to how to woo a human. I loved the characters in this book. Ruby had goals and she was determined to attain them. Kade was supportive of her which is one of the reasons he was perfect for her. I worried about Ruby's friend, Chrisinda and we'll get some resolution about her in the next book. The epilogue at 5 years out was a nice touch but a bit of a spoiler for the next book.

This is book number 2 of the Once Upon a Shifter series and focuses on Kade and Ruby. Kade has been searching for his fated mate for years but was having no luck finding her. Things change in an instant for Kade when he comes across Ruby’s scent while she is in town cleaning out her grandmother's house. He immediately knows that he has finally found his mate and is determined to win over his woman. He is not willing to allow anything to stand in the way of them getting their forever. This was a great story and a great addition to the series!

If you like, little red riding hood, Facebook is nothing like it. There is a wolf, but he is a wolf shifter, little red, is a human female with red hair and a curvy body. When Kade first sees Ruby, he knows she is his fated mate and he sets out to win her. Ruby knows that there is something different about Kade, her grandmother told her about shifters and fated mates, when he tells her that she is his, there is no denying it, and they live happily ever after.

Ruby is visiting her grandmother’s house in the woods and she’s found by a big bad wolf. Only this big bad wolf is a hot shifter named Kade and Ruby is his fated mate. These two find their happily-ever-after quite quickly. Marking Red is a very steamy, recommended read.

Really cute shifter story! I am loving this new series. Kade catches the scent of Ruby as she is in town cleaning out her grandmothers place. He immediately wants to claim her but doesn’t know how to explain that he is a shifter. Ruby feels the unexplained pull for Kade and wants to give in but doesn’t know how she is supposed to give up her life when she was just in town temporarily. Luckily they end up with a very cute happily ever after and I am anxiously awaiting her friends book next!.

Kade has been searching for his mate for a long time, so when he stumbles upon her one evening, he is determined to win her over. Ruby is in town to pack up and sell her grandmother’s house after her death. She knows a little about shifters, so she is not not completely surprised when Kade explains that she is his fated mate. She is actually excited to be loved and cherished the way shifters are with their mates. Another entertaining, quick read in this series and I liked this one better than the first. Beware it is definitely smut for smut’s sake and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

I loved this book! I couldn't put it down and finished it in less than an hour. It is one of my favorite books I've read so far. They were so cute together, and the spice was amazing. They were able to connect very quickly and would listen and care about one another. I loved them together.

Kate and Ruby were fantastic together I really enjoyed. How Kade was willing to do anything and everything to keep ruby by his side. Even when Ruby started To question what happens next Kade made sure that she knew that they would always be together and he would always try to make her happy. I cant wait for the next book in this series.

This was a fantastic fated mates romance. I loved this take on the Little Red Riding Hood fairytale, it really got turned pretty much upside down. Ruby and Kade had amazing chemistry and I was completely invested in their romance. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

This was such a sweet Little Red Riding Hood reimagining. I'm enjoying this fairy tale series. Ruby was packing up her grandmother's home when Kade caught her scent. He couldn't believe his luck in finding her, but what would a human think of a shifter? I loved their story!.

I liked this one. I thought Kade trying to hold himself back was interesting when you consider the instalove obsession these guys have for their mates. Ruby was struggling with her loss and I think Kade helped heal her. It's a great mix of sweet and steamy, loving this series so far!.
