In a town where everyone seems to want to be with or want to be one of the Delaney Brothers, Olivia is just trying to settle in. Being the new teacher in a small town isn't easy, especially when Amos Delaney, ex NFL star, reining champion and all round nice guy keeps flashing his famous smile in her direction. She'd be lying if she didn't get butterflies in her stomach whenever he was around and he seems to find excuses to be just that all the time. So why hasn't he asked her out on a date yet?
Amos would be blind if he didn't notice his kid sister's new teacher. Cute with a sweet as pie look that he just knew hid a sassy interior. With Levi having settled down, maybe it was his turn? But having been burnt once in love, he's not sure he has time for it now. There's the reining futurities he has horses to prepare for, the ranch and now with helping to local high school football team, well life might just be too busy. Then why can't he stop thinking about her?
Once he gets a taste of her sweet kisses, Amos might just need to reconsider his priorities. But only if he can convince Olivia that sometimes you need to ignore the gossip in a small town. When rumours threaten to pull them apart can he convince her that their love will only make them stronger?
When love is the only thing worth fighting for, will it be strong enough to hold them together or will it pull them apart?
Edith MacKenzie or Eddie Mac to her friends is an Australian author of sweet and wholesome contemporary cowboy romance. They say in literary circles to write what you know and Eddie has certainly taken that to heart. Before embarking on a writing career she trained horses professionally and brings that wealth of knowledge to her writing.
Now a mum to a boy and girl, as well as wife, she delights with her tales of strong cowgirls and rugged cowboys and their adventures in finding love. When not weaving the love stories of her characters, she enjoys hanging out with her family and animals, as well as reading, fishing and camping
Amos ~The Brothers of Creekside Ranch #2 by Edith Mackenzie. Well, what can I say other than this is truly a remarkable read. That is excellently written with charming characters and a wonderful plot. I have been reading Edith's books for a little while now, although I do not have them all, (I'm working on that:)), but Edith, is now one of my go-to authors.
We are following the Delaney brothers -Triplets:) the first book was Levi and Bella, yes Bella the English aristocrat, who is Freddy's sister-Freddy is from another brilliant series from Edith's Billionaires Lonely Hearts Club Book 3.
Now we have Amos, a former NFL player who no longer plays, and the new school teacher Olivia, everyone in the small town has eyes for the Delaney triplets, but Amos only has eyes for his younger sisters' new class teacher.
This I think is my favorite book in this amazing series! I just didn't think that Edith could write anything better than the previous book. I felt like I was actually a resident of this sweet, dreamy town, the story kept me glued to the pages all the way to the end!
I highly recommend this book and of course the others in the series. Thank you, Edith, for this truly exceptional read, I loved it, and I look forward to reading many more to come.
I love A good hot cowboy story and Amos definitely fits the bill. The author does a great job of introducing Olivia to the series and the connection that you see forming between Olivia and Mrs. Applebottom really brings some depth to the story. I enjoy that the author brought back Mrs. Applebottom and that this author has all characters from the first book playing equal part in this story even though it is about Amos. So often an author just takes characters and shift them to the back burner instead of letting them be an Integral part of every story.
The camaraderie between Olivia and Bella is sweet and I really like the fact that there’s no cattiness just two grown women enjoying each other‘s company and slowly becoming friends.
I find it beyond amusing how Bella has overtaken the house and the men. I love how much they’ve grown to respect her, become afraid of her, and have excepted her fully into their home and family.
This series feels like coming home to a little cabin with the fire going, blankets around your shoulders, Hot chocolate in cups, and being surrounded by the people you love most in this world. It has that type of cozy, warm feel to it that you just want to enrapture yourself with.
Just like with Levi, this story has some action and suspense. It was a great twist to see how far one character falls. I hope that at some point we get a little more background into each of the ladies pasts as I don’t feel there was enough history given, but Edith MacKenzie is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Don't miss out on this series especially if you like cowboys, strong women, and a clean wholesome romance.
This is book 2 of the series. This story is about Amos who when he meets the new teacher is smitten. She also likes him. This is also a story of family, helping others , and protecting those you love. Clean romance.
Edith Mackenzie has a gift for creating characters that make her books come alive. I love the back and forth bantering between Amos, Elijah, and Levi. Her women are strong ladies who can, and do, hold their own against these strong willed men. I especially enjoyed Mrs. Applebottom's role in this book. It was gratifying to learn about her earlier life and see her softer side. Well done, Eddie Mac! They just keep getting better!
I received an ARC from the author. The opinions expressed in this review are solely my own.
I think there could have been a bit more drama behind the pictures and coach but it was still a good read. You can tell that the author is not from the USA only because there is some terminology that we don’t use here. I, however, still did enjoy the read very much. Clean and beautiful romance.
