Investigative reporter Jack Richardson returns once more, this time in a gripping story that begins in a tiny Romanian backwater and ends in the centre of London’s seedy underworld.
Jack is working on a story when he receives the tragic news that his brother-in-law has been found dead in his car, after having taken his own life.
Jack has reservations about the verdict of suicide, and so he starts to probe the circumstances, soon finding similarities between his brother-in-law’s death and the story he is working on, both connected to a chain of events which began three years earlier, and over a thousand miles away…
Philip Cox was born and raised in the UK seaside city of Southend on Sea, which lies forty miles east of London.
After graduating from High School, he began a career in UK Banking and Financial Services, and spent the next decades working his way through the ranks, finally becoming a Branch Manager of a major UK bank.
Philip left banking after the birth of his first child to be a stay-at-home father, and it was during this time that, in between changing diapers/nappies, he began to write his first novel, ‘After the Rain’.
Now having written sixteen books, he is based in the county of Hertfordshire, some twenty miles north of London, with his wife and two daughters.
During his spare time (what spare time there is between school runs and writing!), Philip enjoys indulging his interest in Model Railroading/Railways.
He is tall and slim, has a few grey hairs, and wishes he could get to the gym more often.
Graham and his wife had a few drinks but Jack insisted to drive home. It was raining and they thought he hit sometime, possible a deer. He got out to look but didnt see anything. He checked his car the next day and found no marks. But he insisted he seen someone with a tan coat on. He kept searching around everywhere with no luck . His wife said forget it. Later Graham was dead said he committed suicide but his brother Jack didnt think so . So Jack a news investigator looked into it. It took along time to investigate it but eventually started to get somewhere. The beginning of the story was sort of dull at first but really picked up into another part of the story. With shocking ending to it. A really good story.
