The Alternative Dictionary: What these words REALLY mean
Do you ever look at a word and pronounce it how it looks instead of how its intended to be pronounced? Do you then come up with an alternative definition for that word based on the new pronunciation? And then make a stupid drawing to go with it?
You're normal, you say? And this is too many questions? I mean, probably. About the question thing. I don't know you well enough to say whether you're normal.
I, however, am NOT normal and in fact do all of the above. In fact, I've finally done it enough to fill an entire book! The Alternative Dictionary takes over 200 ordinary words, pronounces them differently, and gives them an all-new definition. There are more than 20 "professional" illustrations peppered throughout the first half of this book.
That's right, this book has TWO HALVES! I know, right? Like, holy cow! What a bargain! I use the second half to begrudgingly reveal the true pronunciation and definition of all the words I defiled. Don't think that I don't put in my two cents on every word, though! We can't have the second half of the book be a snooze fest, now can we?
So, if you like humor, and at least occasionally like words, this is the book for you! If not, you should buy it anyway. I have bills to pay, you know. Anyway, plus ultra!
