What would you prefer to do while you relax? If you ask me, I would either curl up with some book & coffee or groove to some good music. But there's a better idea than that. How about reading a story and then listening to a song which relates to that storyline, to give you a fulfilled experience? Yes, we have a book for that too.
Nine by Vineet Singh Hukmani is a collection of nine interesting stories each with a QR code at the end to take you to that dedicated song. Each of the stories is very different from one another. My favourites are "So new" and "Hurry". "So new" is a love story while "Hurry" shows how the use of psychology can be practically used to influence the behaviour of people around us.
The book's stories are intriguing, mysterious, suspenseful, engaging, and so on. It's a compact book that's easy to handle and carry. The book's cover is both appealing and mysterious. Every narrative, concept, and story is distinct. Every narrative has a new plot that keeps unfolding. The plot structure and narration are both excellent. In addition, the language is fairly standard. It is simple and straightforward. The stories are well-narrated, and the book's narrative is full of surprises.

As I'm a working woman so I don't really get much time to read single long story novels that'swhy I choose it to read on a metro.
Even though I didn't have many expectations with this book but all those 9 stories are written so well that I missed my stop 😂
Another thing which intrigued me about this book is all the 9 optimistic songs which are given in the end of each story & you can access them by scanning the QR code.
In a nutshell, I would say all those short stories are enough powerful that someone will make a whole novel on each but I loved the way Vineet keep it short & interesting.
Loved it!! Looking forward to read the next one from the same author.

Nine, as the name suggests, was a collection of nine stories written with the poetic dexterity very few people are capable of. I adored the songs which succeeded every chapter. The lyrics seemed like they were custom-made for the story. As much as I wanted the book to keep going on, it came to an end and left me with a bittersweet feeling of longing and inspiration.
The short stories despite being different from each other, were equally enthralling. Sure, they were a little predictable at times, yet, they managed to keep me hooked.
Recommended, surely!

Vineet Singh Hukmani’s short story collection Nine presents nine contemporary short stories involving various themes and varieties.
I like the initial stories, Dreaming Out Loud, Nine, and Turning Back Time, to name a few. Later on, the graph of the engagement level went down for me and I felt more and more detached from the stories.
I don’t find these stories thrilling; rather, all are very light and have an optimistic ending. I am not much of a person who likes to interrupt their reading in between to check out the songs, so I am not going to comment on the songs given after each chapter.

I read the blurb and I was too excited to read it because the caption says that it has nine stories as well as nine songs. So I was eager to know how it is. Nine is a collective of 9 thrilling stories based on 9 optimistic songs. I will briefly discuss one or two here that will give you idea about the book. The very first story is “Nine”. It’s about Kramer couple. Jennifer noticed that one day her husband Dwayne left unannounced. She filed a missing person’s report. They had teenager kids too. He was closely associated with CIA. I liked how author incorporated “nine” in the story along with operation name. The story is intense an fast paced. I was eager to read end. I liked the ending if the story. The reunion and the second chance concept is quite motivational for the readers. Now the main discussion. At the end of each story, author provided a QR code that will lead you to the songs that author wrote/performed. I loved the songs more than all the stories. Stories are good but songs are amazing. I can listen to them on repeat mode. Author has rocked both the genre, stories as well as songs. My another favourite story is “So New” because if the psychology aspect author covered because when I didn’t learn psychology, I always had questions like can you control human behaviour if you learn psychology. So I could relate to Debbie’s question. I won’t discuss everything as it will lead to spoilers. I loved the concept of the book. All songs are amazing. I liked the stories. They are different in nature from one another. Stories are fast paced that holds the interest of the readers. Author has tried to simplify certain complex things or terminologies for all the reader. So anyone can pick it up. The narration style of the author is captivating. And quite unique plots of all the stories. Overall I enjoyed reading and listening it. Recommended from my side.

The book is of collection of nine stories and with surprisingly 9 songs too. after completing each story it gives us a great song...using QR codes we can get into the author's album and listen to his songs...I liked this new concept..
The book we can complete in one or two sittings...very great with the flow...each story is unique, which makes you think what next??? I have some personal collections or favourites from his nine....
In the first story Nine where Dwayne takes a step in his professional life and his personal life .how he balanced both and survived with both...
I pray -which gives you the storyline always believe in yourself...which makes you more confident.makes you to feel nothing is impossible in this world.jenny you are best example of that.

This book is written in fast paced and it's very interesting will make you turn pages. Plot is well portrayed and storyline is really interesting. Now coming to characters development it's also pretty good. And language used for writing this book is simple, easy to read hence reader of age group 13+ can also read it. One can also find stories related to sci-fi genre in this book, so sci-fi lovers can also pick this book. If you're fond reading psychological thriller stuffs then you should get this book for yourself cause it has some great amazing stories related to it.

To be very honest, I didn't like anything in this book.
Let's begin with some ( and only) bullet points :
1. The cover isn't engaging at all.
2. The blurb is boring, it seems like NCERT where there is a QR Code for reference at the end of every chapter.
3. The stories don't catch you in the beginning / middle or end.
4. The writing style needs a lot of improvement.
5. The stories were too long, boring and predictable.
6. The length of the book wasn't worth my time. I couldn't relate to the stories at all.
7. It seems as if the book is present to promote the songs and not the songs to enhance the book and reader experience. (Reader's POV)
Overall, this book wasn't worth my time at all. Won't recommend this to anyone. I'm sorry, dear author. 😞

'Nine' is the author's debut book, a collection of nine short fictional stories compiled together with his music album. As advertised in the blurb, each story ends with a song underlining the same theme.
The stories definitely carry original concepts. They are definitely optimistic, and most of them contain a twist delivered at the end. My favorite was the one titled 'Turning back time', it packed some good humor elements. I wouldn't go so far as to term them thrilling though. They make for a comfortable read and the language is pretty simple. The music and the story together form an entertaining combination, each complimenting the other. I loved the author's dedication at the start-very compelling.

The book Nine by Vineet Singh Hukmani is a compilation of nine unique stories with a link to amazing songs at the end of each story.
-> The first story is the same as the name of the book. ‘Nine’ is about a husband who is also a father who left his family and was like an undercover agent. But when he realises that his family could be in danger he had to think and act fast so that he can save his family from the unfortunate fate. The story is with twists and turns and gives you a feeling of suspense till the end. When the suspense is finally revealed you would be shocked to find out who the amazing ending is.
-> The second story is all about talent, determination and how true a person can be to their selves and others.
It is about a race between two athletes and a person who is given a formula just to win the race. A person used in the marketing of a product. Between the two athletes, one is overconfident that he will win the race and can go to any extent to do so while the other one is disciplined, confident and true to himself. The result is what makes you realise the importance of knowing your worth and why it is important to have faith in yourself.
-> The third story is about living in the present and enjoying it rather than thinking about the past.
When a man is disturbed by his present situation he becomes aware of a way to go back in time to relive his memories and when he does so he doesn't wish to come back to the present. Everyone tries to bring him back but he is adamant about living in the memories until there is one person who makes him realise why he has to come to the present and how important it is to accept your present or try changing the situation if you can not accept it.
-> In today's world where everything is so superficial, relationships are online, people don't wait to explore new things or get to know each other they leave one person and move on to the next, the moment they find some problem. This story shows you why we should not run away at the first sight of a problem but try and find a solution to the problem. Support the other person and stay with them. Eventually, all the efforts are worth it when you become aware of the fact of how far you have come.
-> Psychology is a subject that has held my interest for a long time now. It tells us about human behaviour, why they behave in a particular way and so much more.
The story raises a question in our minds, ‘Is everything truly in our control? Can we or any person manipulate the algorithms of our mind or our situation?’ As the story goes on you find answers to your questions and that too in the best possible way! The story is filled with twists and turns.
-> The next story is about a girl who dreams about what is going to happen in the future. It is like a message she receives but she is afraid of those dreams. Her parents wish to take her to a psychologist but before she goes there she again has a dream and in that dream, she finds a solution for her fears. The solution is, ‘to pray.’ She realises the importance of prayer 🛐 and now whenever she is afraid of something she knows what she has to do and she does just that. She PRAYS.
-> This story is about a heist of cryptocurrencies from a billionaire. It reminds me of the series, ‘money heist’ but well that was completely different and this is completely different. In money heist, they are successful in their mission but here their plan goes in vain and they are busted. This is an amazing story and the turn of events turns out to be very interesting.
-> Can you imagine a world without hate and evil? What will it be like if there is no hate, no crime and everyone lived peacefully?
Well, this story is about a scientist who wishes to spread love everywhere and remove hate from the world. The only problem being there are people who do not want this to happen and try to be a hindrance in his way. Will he be successful in his mission? Is that possible?
To know the answers to these questions you have to read this wonderful story.

In today's world where everything is turning digital, this last story also talks about a group of friends who have a company that sells digital life insurance to people. Their employees are wonderful and the targets are achieved always! But when they plan to celebrate the success of their company they come to know that their employees are in danger and all their friends are helpless as they can't do anything. During this situation, they become aware of a few things that happened in the past. They try to rectify their mistake and save their employees in the end, by learning a very important lesson.

NINE is a new innovation in books. I found it interesting when I got to know that the books contains 9 thrilling stories along with 9 optimistic songs. Until I received the book, I was just thinking about how would have the author added the songs in the book, but not to forget, this is the era of innovation and technology.
Okay, so you can listen to the songs after each story, scanning the QR code, a link will open and you can play the song.
The first story of the book titles: NINE. The story shows how a man fulfill his responsibility for his family. It's a kind of emotional, kind of thrilling, mixed with actions story. Well researched terms have been used in the story. It was an interesting one but coming to the end I felt like the story could have been more thrilling and suspicious, it was easy for the readers to predict the end.
Next story is Dreaming Out Loud. Here you can see author's wide imagination. Everyone wants to stay young for whole life. Although science is not that advanced yet but anything can happen in imagination. But practice and willpower can leave such innovations far behind is the lesson we get from this story. This story was a sci-fi type one. "My dreams are all the drugs I need", I loved this dialogue from this story.
The third story is Turning Back Time. As the name suggests that the story revolves around time. One can go in the past to re-enjoy sweetest memories which can be comfortable in the hectic present. But past is not where you can live forever, you have to come out of it and live in present as you are important for someone.
Next story is Hurry. It's about a dating app which rates the relationship between 2 people besssed on their interaction. This story shows today's reality. Everyone is in a hurry to get love but only few wants to give time and explore love. Social media is important but not everything there is true. We need to understand that there is life beyond internet.
Next story is titled So New. The title itself is so new. It's kind of a emotional rollercoaster type story. This story teaches us "You reap what you sow". Psychological terms have been used in this story.
6th story in the row is I Pray. This is a story of a little girl who gets nightmares and is differently special. The story tells us that if we have faith in God, we can survive any worst situation. This is the story I loved the most out of the nine.
Next story is WTF-Where's The Fun. There's a new concept the author came up with, through the protagonist of the story- JUDB-Just Use Don't Buy. And the protagonist let others use his things for a day. A money scam goes in the story and the protagonist handles it smartly with the help of his team.
8th story in the row is Jab The World. The concept is that feelings can be controlled by intaking harmone as a treatment. There is action in the story. It's quite suspensive story. The idea, that hate can disappear when love takes over, is beautiful, but, by using a harmone intake, is funny.
The last story of the book is Party From Home. Truth is said in the story that young people hardly care about life insurance. And it is shown in the story how some people take advantage of normal people, playing with their emotions and lives. Many such scams are taking place in the world. The incidents in the story are written smartly.
Taking an overview of all the stories, I would like to conclude that these are some sci-fi stories, full of action, written by Indian author but non-Indian stories. I found grammatical errors somewhere, like 'her' in place of 'Him'. Stories are well crafted and beyond imagination.
About the songs I could only say they are to be listened and enjoyed and not judged.

Short Summary -: Nine is a anthology book . It is collection of 9 different stories with different characters and timeline. The author has given a thrilling touch to each of the story with a QR code at the end of each chapter which on being scanned will take you to a song related to the same chapter ( This was actually fun and unique). The chapters are set in the modern day era with the use of modern day tech in them.
Things I liked -:
1. Each chapters are well described and illustrated in a very good manner. The writer must have given plenty of his time for each of the story as while reading i felt the connection between the stories which can only be done if the book has a well developed storyline and characters.
2. The characters are also well portrayed in each of the story. Each of them has different story and you'll get the time to understand each of them because the character development of the book is great. Each character will make you feel more and more connected with them because of the well developed storyline and characters
3. Even after being a lengthy book it actually didn't feel like a long book just because of good story illustration, simple and easy to understand language .After reading a few pages you'll find yourself comfortable with the book and it won't feel like a long book.
4. I found The timeline of the story to be connected with the modern era, which make this book & the characters relatable to the real life and hence make it more fun to read.
Things I didn't like -:
1. Everything about the book is good but ill say that the stories could have been more unpredictable as you may found the stories somewhat predictable beforehand. But i won't say they were not good. Each character was unique in its own way.
2. I actually didn't like the book cover that much. (My personal opinion)
Verdict -: Overall a great book with a unique way of representation of each story with a song at the end. The stories were good , easy and also filled with natural human emotions. This book can be a great start for new book readers as it contains all the good things which a reader want from a book. I'll definitely recommend this to everyone

As the cover and title says, this book incorporates nine exceptional stories. I loved the vast majority of them.

Page after page, every jotted thing brought me, millions of feelings.
This book, a completely refreshing one which can be winded up in less than a day with book length easily acceptable to the limit which is based on what the author has experienced in form of inner emotions over the decade plus ages of his matured life.

The concept is held very beautifully throughout the book as the forms are raw and made me find a part of myself stuck somewhere in the messages the book broadcasted.

The title was the first thing that attracted me to read this book. I was curious to know what will be these 9 thrilling stories. And when it said along with songs, it became kind of unique for me. Being a book lover and music lover, whenever I read a book I mostly need a song in the background and this book already provided a song for each read to me. It was perfect fit for me.This thriller is extremely interesting and takes the reader to a different level. The characters were pretty much good. The narration is very well paced.The Execution of the author's Imagination is done superbly.The Plot is Intriguing. After reading certain chapters I couldn't even let down the story and it urged me to complete it as fast as possible.

Nine is collection of 9 different stories. all based on different aspects and values. Yes, I feel like each story here gives you a meaningful learning through it which is actually presented in a unique way.
"we must learn to accept there will be days we feel like new and days where we don't, but circumstances should be that way only because of our own doing!"
The plot, storyline and definitely those unexpected twist and turns is something new, not sure i have seen this before. The way that the author has given it a unique technological touch makes it a bit interesting to me. Every chapter here is based on certain advanced technological aspect that shows how humans are entangled to it and what impact it makes on our living. The concepts like fond memory catcher or the dating apps where you get suggestions on breaking up too or a cure that converts hate into love ; all this makes it more interesting and keeps you hooked till the end.
Not just this, it is also a perfect pack of action and thriller even with a bit of emotional connect to it. The characters are very well written and the writing style is also very easy to understand. Thinking about picking few of my favorites from these collection was quite a difficult task as each story seems to be perfect than earlier one yet the ones which i would like to mention would be -
story02 Dreaming out loud where the author explains the life of 2 athletes who are trying to showcase their abilities, prove themselves and achieve success but the genetical aspect plays a major twist.
Story07 where's the fun in which a huge cryptocurrency heist takes place which gives you a perfect thrill.
And now talking about the songs, at the end of every story you get a QR code embedded which takes you to a site where you can either listen to the audio or prefer a YouTube video enjoying both audio and video. I enjoyed listening and watching video related to first story - NINE and also PRAY.
All these songs were super fun and enjoyable.
A perfect light read, full of action, thrill and fun is recommended to everyone out there!

The book 'Nine' consists of nine thrilling and jaw-dropping stories. And the unusual thing is, which I was quite unfamiliar with, the fact that these nine well-knitted, amazing stories are juxtaposed with original songs. Such is the powerful blend of the two, that the divine experience is still embedded in the very soul of mine. That doesn't mean that the stories complement the songs in its literal sense, but the author beautifully lets the uniqueness of each radiate, such that it scatters the distinctiveness into one's own auditory experience. To participate in this rare and divine experience, one just needs to scan the QR code given at the end of a story which will take you to the song based on the content.
Talking about the thriller stories, how beautiful is this line:
"Life can be a mean sprint or a well-timed marathon but how you choose to run is up to you"
The whole content of the book can be summed up in one line: Be it an estranged husband who rise out from the ashes like a Phoenix, and a literal race of life riddled with manipulative implications and devious acts, and also how in the competitive race of this digital arena, only one application would have to make its mark in a list of technological advancements and to make it happen, one chooses immoral ways. It is also to be mentioned how people are in a 'terrible hurry' and jump from "one game of love to the next" and this medium of Technology has so digitalised love that makes easier for one to lose faith in love, in the process.
However, some stories kept me intrigued so much that I couldn't help myself reading these stories in one go. But for other stories, I didn't get the feel, had to re-read but they weren't just as exciting as the stories I was talking about before. But the songs helped me in delving deeper into each of them, and all I wish that it could have been a collection of more than nine stories. Read this book, for the uniqueness of it will make you hold onto the thrill till the end.

Have you ever questioned whether a book might provide the same kind of experience? Yes, you did hear me correctly! A book that incorporates music as well as words.

Yes, you're up for a cinematic experience. How it will turn up depends on how good your imagination is.
Nine short stories make up the anthology "Nine," the majority of which are sci-fi and have a straightforward writing style. They also incorporate a race against time from Dan Brown's suspense novel. Somehow the lack of diversity in the stories is my sole criticism. I wish the author could have added a few more fresh ideas. The fact that the subjects he tackled are so pertinent to our day is, nonetheless, laudable.
My personal favourite story is "Turning Back Time." I adore the way the story ends.
Here is one way I suggest you read this book: one story a day, for nine days straight. By the end of that time, you will have fully experienced the book. With a few exceptions, reading will usually require ten minutes per day.
And if you are the type of virtuous person who is satisfied after just one piece of chocolate from a chocolate box, never tempted, until the following day, by a second, then perhaps you will be able to savor the book in a similar restrained fashion. If, on the other hand, you are like me, then you may find yourself, after the first ten minutes, reading on for twenty, then thirty, gobbling up one tale after the next, eventually looking up and realizing that a good portion of your day has passed. And I don't think you don't mind doing that.
I would say pick this one up for this weekend. And get lost in the gripping narrative of Vineet Singh Hukmani.

A disastrous realisation of four friends who run a successful digital life insurance start up. A perfect blend of humour, darkness, corruption and human psychology.

✨The two story that I loved the most is "Turning Back Time" where a man finds it more enjoyable to live in his memories through the help of a newly invented technology a hilarious situation arises when his family tries to bring him back to reality, being someone who oftens zone out into fictional scenerios created in my head I loved reading this.

✨And the other one being "Jab The World" here a scientist invents a vaccine that cures hate but will the government allow him to put his creation into use in a world where economic and power system are build up on inequality and disaffection, we have seen many a times World leaders giving speech on world peace and unity but do they infact want peace and unity to sustain.

✨Overall Reading this book was a delightful and interesting experience it is also written in easy language which can be comprehended by anyone and with a fast pacing narration with well developed characters and nicely written plotline and this book also provides a whole playlist of songs that one can listen to after each story as the link is provided the song matches with the theme of the story giving an enhanced reading experience. Overall I really enjoyed reading this book and will recommend to everyone.
