I LOVE THIS FIC SM. LITERALLY SO BRILLIANTLY WRITTEN, I CRY AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK THINKING ABOUT DRAMORA. IT'S CRIMINAL HOW WE HAVEN'T GOT A CULT LIKE DEAR DRACO OR MANACLED YET!!! IF YOU'RE A TRAINING WHEELS GIRLIE, PLEASE LET'S BE FRIENDS FOR THE SAKE OF HUMANITY. ✨✨

anyways !!! this is my all time comfort book so i will be raving and ranting abt this, hope you understand 🫶🏼
first and foremost: amora amora amora amora amora <33
i love love love amora so much. she is best girl above all else, she is princess, she is angel, she can do no wrong. sweetest girl to ever exist, she deserves all the good in the world. when everyone in the comment sections turned against her, i was there to defend !! they could never make me hate you, baby ! went through hell and back and still didn’t let it take away from what she knew was true and right. her sunshine personality was done so well, she didn’t act like a toddler at her big age which is something a lot of authors can take notes from btw. her growth while still remaining strong in her morals was so refreshing i just cannot. if amora has no fans, i am dead. this is the epitome of perfect fanfic oc.
now onto #THAT man…
disclaimer is needed for those that know who this fanfic is about: i read this longgg ago back when #HE was popular. sadly, i did indeed fall victim to that phase and it will haunt me forever. however, this fanfic held such a special place in my heart that i still reread it to this day even tho i want #HIM dead (not “him” in this fanfic cs that’s my baby but #HIM in canon—and that weirdo actor that shall not be named cs ew <3)
d**** in this fanfic is my baby i don’t care. so far removed from reality that i consider him a whole different character on his own. like THIS is MY d**** totally unrelated from the actual canon one. they are two different people that have no connection to each other, it’s true !! his character development so well done but also actually made sense for the way the story was progressing.
now listen, he fucked up that’s for sure… (#THAT scene with daphne ……..) but he was soooo pathetic for amora oh my god i wanted to abolish myself. especially after they broke up (for the 86th time) and *SPOILER* amora was taken to malfoy manor…. THE WAY HE WAS SO CARING AND GENTLE AND LOVING PLEASE SEDATE ME.

so buzzy and comforting to me idk girl i’m mentally ill. when i say these two put me through the trenches then brought me to the highest heavens, my god. i don’t even know what to say but BRAINROT !! technically, it’s labeled under “toxic / unhealthy relationships” and…. well, yes ! but trust, it gets so so so much better if you ignore the fact that they broke up about 82 times. they had such sweet, wholesome moments that made me truly understand the love they had for each other, which a lot of fanfic authors neglect in favor for more angsty moments that tend to fall flat because i can’t see the love. like atp y’all are just fighting to fight but not my amora & d****. that love was real and heart wrenching. i’ll be at the nearest mental hospital if u need me, xoxo 💋💋
btw, the friend group was the best thing that has ever came on my back. backshots from all of them. (girl ??) sorry, what i mean is: i luurve all of these characters down and the friendships were so cute and wholesome. the moments when they are all together and even just moments between them individually… crying for 37 hours straight challenge *successful*
one of the biggest things i love about this fanfic is the neglect of all the typical tropes that follow #THAT man. no slutty manwhore tendencies (virgin mehe), no scumbag treatment to princess amora (if there was it was early on and trust she got her lick back), no nasty not-like-other-girls, and no “badass” main characters that were really just assholes with no emotional intelligence.
heavy on the first one. idk what’s up with fanfic authors and making the H the biggest manwhore that has ever graced this planet ??

~ no real owd *complicated* (very long fanfic with a very long relationship development that has one hiccup in terms of owd. when they’re broken up, amora antagonizes d**** about being with harry—even tho she lied, it’s okay girlie i support you—and d**** got super hurt and jealous so he kissed daphne in front of amora to hurt her back. he had no interest in daphne and literally did it just to be a dick, plus he said he never wanted to do it and kissing her was like “kissing a fish” 😭. amora got her lick back and doubled it so even tho this does happen, no criticism for either d**** or amora will be allowed and their little messy moment)
~ omd (lurveeee triangle !! nah not rlly, tho harry does want her baddd, and i mean BAD. typical jealousy that i was giggling from cs i love to see men jealous and suffer. she may have kissed him a few times but #womansrights and #womanswrongs so idk leave her alone. also, mehehe…. there might be an instance where harry spying on them goes very wrong for him and i mean VEEEERY WRONG. let’s just say exibitionism and voyeurism. d**** and amora were hilarious for that idc idc)

i know this is a fanfiction but it was better than all the best books i read last year COMBINED! so so so so so so so insanely good, i’m genuinely speechless. i absolutely adore fanfictions like this because it doesn’t change the story too much but adds so much depth and additional plot, which enriches the harry potter world so much! this is the PERFECT portrayal of draco malfoy with the most deserved redemption arc. also amora buckley is the greatest addition to this world a long with side characters like leon, kathy and the more in-depth portrayals of cedric, blaise, theo & pansy! i loved the discourse of how unfairly slytherins are being treated and i was very invested in the levels of dumbledore’s and snake’s involvement during the war. the writing is fantastic & so engaging - i absolutely could not put it down. NEVER discredit fanfictions because you’re seriously missing out on some MINDBLOWING literature!!
