I liked it, but it wasn't all it could be. It just had different escape rooms that needed specific pieces. It probably needed easier to build puzzles, and maybe an explanation on how you can link the puzzles together in a different theme or escape room. It also needed more puzzle options, because after you make a couple for you family, they catch on really quick. I understand that LEGO can be a hard medium, but it's also quite diverse. However, it was fun to do and I absolutely recommend it. I may list all of the bad things, but there are plenty of good things that you can find out for yourself. :)

Do you own a bunch of LEGO's and want to try something new?
Do you enjoy puzzles, games, codes and ciphers?
Have you ever tried an Escape Room?

Simon Hugo gives you the tools, themes and inspiration to do just that!

While the themes are fun and the games intriguing, there is just ONE big flaw to this book, you pretty much already have to own a bajillion Lego sets or pieces, and I don't mean that in a bad way. Otherwise, the book is disheartening for those who do not have them.
The Escape Puzzles are too complex (in terms of pieces) and there are very few activities that allow them to be adjustable or to be any less than a nearly professional level.

Again, the ideas are inspiring and fun, but disheartening if you don't own every Lego set ever.

Each section begins with a comic strip showing someone going through that escape room. It then breaks down how to build the escape room and all the Lego pieces, pointing out that you can modify the creation with whatever pieces you have. Finally it charts the path through the escape room. A section in the back of the book shows additional puzzles, encouraging readers to create their own escape room.

Fun ideas to build with Legos. The only thing is that the builds are small and escape rooms are usually big; you would need a bit of scenery to make these interesting.
