This is a great start to a new series.

Violet is recently divorced and has kinda been shunned by her family cause of it. What she craves most is to actually live life, feel adventure only problem is she doesn't really know who she is at the age of 24. She just know she craves more, enter Jagger!! The second she meets Jagger she knows he brings out emotions in her that she's never felt before and it scares her, she didn't love her husband and is petrified of what truly feels for Jagger. Jagger on the other hand keeps pushing her boundaries even though she rejects him every chance she gets.

I found myself very intrigued by Jaggers character. He was mysterious, yet open at the same time. He was charming and very patient with Violet. Even during his outbursts at her he really just wanted to make her realize what she felt. Even though Violet is slightly older then Jagger in many ways cause of her upbringing she seems much younger. I think she was so hung up that he was 21 she psyched herself out to much, its only 3 years difference but, I think it made her nervous cause her first marriage her husband was so much older she didn't know how to rationalize his age, even though she's also young.

Another steamy romance from Ford

I like Ms. Ford's books and this was another yummy romance. Violet was not my favorite lead girl. She's hot and cold, rude to Jagger and I can't understand why she's thinks the age difference between them is such a big deal, considering her husband was 15 years older than her. I did really like Jagger. He's smart and knows what he wants. I hope Violet gets better in book 2 and we get to meet Braxton!

Violet is 24 and divorced. Raised to expect to married to an older man, already settled who can provide a comfortable life. Love and sex were not talked about or taught. In most cases they were irrelevant. She soon realizes, she is mentally older than her years added to the insecurity of being emotionally and physically inexperienced to deal with a lot of life. She can not continue to live her life like this. Enter Jagger, who she initially has contact with in an elevator at her work. He's 20 (soon to be 21) and physically built to make any woman feel flush and tingly. Cocky and confident, Jagger makes her feel things she doesn't know how to express or come to terms with. It gets better when she finds out he's her neighbor! Shayne Ford has captured the epitome of what if looked and felt like being a female born in the late 50s, growing up in the 60s. This was a great read and I'm looking forward to following Shade and Violet's story to see how things work out for them.

Heading: Part 1 of 5. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC copy of Jagger by Shayne Ford.
Good book. Decent story. Ménage stories aren’t usually my forte, but I love Shayne Ford as an author, so I’m sure it will grow on me. Jagger and violet seem very emotionally unstable. I’m hoping that will round out in the next couple of books. On to the next…Happy Reading!
Side Note: I see great potential for a spin off with Liv’s backstory. Maybe a 2nd chance romance with her first love…. just saying.

A great start to the Wild Heart Series. Shayne Ford is a wonderful author and her books do not disappoint. Starts slow because this story evolves through all the books in the series. I have finally gotten this series and Jagger book 1 of 5 did not disappoint. I was hooked from page one and read it it one sitting. I have read a few of Shayne's series and this one was just as I expected hot and sexy, can't wait to see where the story leads me

Hot, hot...

Lovely written, this first book tells the story of Violet and Jagger. She's twenty-four, raised in a very traditional environment that puts very little to no emphasis on chemistry and sex. Married at a very young age, she has recently divorced from what her family coined as the perfect husband.

Jagger is a twenty-one-year-old who's good looking, sexually adventurous and has never fallen for a woman before. Despite his playfulness and age, he's mature beyond his years and very skilled at coaxing her to give him a chance.

Although she's never been in love either, Violet is not so much interested in using her newfound freedom to find the next man as she is to discover her true self.

Charming and persistent, Jagger peels her reservations and eventually convinces her to let him love her. He becomes her teacher in many ways while she gives him a taste of a woman's feelings.

This book is mostly about the two of them and could easily be read as a standalone. I love the story, the writing style, and the hot sex.

A few points to make:

Although he's barely twenty-one, Jagger comes across as mature and insightful, and that's a nice bonus. The book also delves into family dynamics, touching few interesting topics such as restrictive parenting, dominant spouse, the quest for self-reliance and personal freedom, etc.

It's a layered story, much more than what you'd expect from the typical menage romance.

If you like your erotic (menage) romance with a story, this book is for you. If you look for three-way smut from the get go there are probably other books to satisfy your taste. The second man makes a brief appearance at the end.

I can't wait to read the next book.

A great start to this series. Well written story with great characters. Violet is a 24 year old divorcee trying to find herself and she struggles with her connection to 21 year old Jagger. When these two get together it is hot and cold. But the chemistry is explosive and very hot and steamy. Towards the end we are introduced to Braxton who is Jaggers best friend. Can't wait to read more of Violet and Jagger's story.

I seem to be the minority in not having enjoyed this book very much. its the story of a young 24year old rediscovering herself after having a very conservative upbrining followed by a boring and unloving marriage. She then meets a younger man and falls madly in lust but is conflicted about letting it become more. on paper it sounds interesting but in reality it just dragged on and it wasn't until the end that i realised the promise of a third person is not going to happen until a later book... nothing i hate more than not getting what i was promised. this book really reads like the into to the next one and probably could have been summerised down to 3 chapters. theres a lot if repetition, a lot of hot and cold from our main character, a lot of mystery and maturity from the 21 year old Jaggger (which is felt was out of character for his age and life of privilege, usually that level of maturity comes from facing challenged rather than his seemingly charmed life and a real missed opportunity by the author to create some interest and backstory) and not much action until the very end. all in all there's not enough there to make me pick up the next one not even the promise of Braxton the elusive third making and entrance.

This was a quick read, it however was not that great of a story. It didn't have the depth or details to be a good story. We know Violet is divorced due to being in an unhappy and unsatisfactory marriage but other than that no actual details about her and her ex husbands life together. The sex scenes while they are steamy are just repetative. There is a 3 year age Gap between Violet and Jagger and Violet acts like it's a huge deal that he is so "young", when in reality 3 years is not a big deal. This is not a book I would consider a must read. If there was more of a story behind it I think it would be a good book.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Shayne Ford's writing continues to evolve and improve. It's been interesting to tag along on her journey and Jagger is a great example of how amazing her stories have become.

Jagger is riveting but it doesn't come without it's drawbacks. I believe certain scenes were hard to follow or truly understand and the dynamic between the main characters sometimes felt a bit forced. Other than that, I can't wait to read the next installments of this story to see how everything goes.

Interesting read.

This is a very good read with lots of chemistry and emotion. Violet a 24 years old divorced was raised in a home where sex was never mentioned.Realizing she need more in her life more than a security she left.Then she met 20 years old Jagger who makes her feel things she can’t express.Would illegal be able to let go of her doubts for a chance with jagger.

It was Steamy

It was a good book & I can relate to Violet's insecurity but I guess since I'm getting older, I got a little upset with her running away instead of confronting Jagger! She's learning though!! Not sure how I feel about Braxton yet. We'll see what happens in Book 2!!

The book starts out slow. It starts to get interesting over 3/4 the way through. The end is nice. But it ends with a to be continued.  The characters are way to childish and in mature for my taste. The description of book was misleading. I'm a little disappointed.
