Laylah loves reading, but she particularly loves a good romance with some seriously alpha men. Protective, possessive men with large hearts. Writing has become her passion and she hopes her readers enjoy her stories as much as she does writing them.
There’s something about Laylah Roberts’ Daddies that seperate them from other Daddies… They’re all Dominant, and they all have a certain darkness in them, but will do everything they can to make their Littles happy. If that means they’ll have to be patient because those Littles need them to be,then that’s what they’ll do. If that means they have to be stern to give them the boundaries they need, then that’s what they’ll do. If they have to be playfull, even though they’re rough men, then they’ll be as silly as their Littles want them to be. Boss Daddy is no exception….and that’s why i’m so happy with the ARC of Markovitch’ and Dahlia’s story. Because it was heartwarming to see how careful he was with her from the moment they met.
Markovitch has closed his heart behind a big wall after his wife was killed and his daughter taken. He spent a long time finding out who was responsible for her death, and searching for his daughter. Having Emme back gave him a little peace, and knowing Reyes was as protective over her as he was, helped. But having another woman in his life? Not going to happen. Until the new waitress at his bar,The Suck ‘n Blow, fell into his lap, smashing the drink she just gave him out of his hand. Her behaviour was…strange….and her explanation worrying. And when he left at the end of the evening, she was at the back of the bar, warning him about men with guns. That was twice already that this girl saved him,and he decided to make it up to her by taking her home. But leaving her there,in a place that clearly wasn’t safe, didn’t feel right… And as it turned out,she wasn’t….so taking her to his house was a logical step, right?
Dahlia had a tough time being close to people, but she was doing better, right? Working as a waitress at the Suck ‘n Blow wasn’t her brightest idea, though, and she regretted taking the job. Seeing the bartender acting strange with the boss’s drink didn’t sink in until she’d brought it to him. And after his first shock, once she’d managed to explain, the boss was glad she’d smashed the glass out of his hand. Only the manager had a different view of the reasons why she was laying over his lap,and she was fired. Those men hiding in the bushes behind the bar when she left, worried her,and warning the boss when he came out the backdoor, felt right….again. Only when the dust settled, and she was alone,in her RV,everything that happened hit her like a ton of bricks. Things only got worse from that moment….not only did she lose her job,and gotten her bike stolen, the camp ground owner where she stood with her RV,Lady Marmelade, told her she had to leave. And then she was kidnapped….good thing Markovitch had left his number in her phone
Dahlia clearly needed someone to take care of her,and once Markovitch and his men found the toppled over RV with a dead body laying nearby,he was going to be the one to do exactly that…once he managed to find her! But when he did,he found she’d regressed to her Little and wasn’t talking. It broke his heart to see her that scared, and he was relieved when he finally got her to take his hand and allow him to pick her up. There was a reason she didn’t want people touching her,and he was determined to find out what it was. And when he knew,he was going to make the ones responsible suffer, that’s for sure!
But there was more at play, and he needed to get to the bottom of things. He’d hired the Fox to find the ones responsible for his wife’s death, but he could use him to find out what else was going on,too…. His men were already searching for the bartender, and once they had him, they’d learn who was behind the attempts on his life…right? What happened was something entirely different than any of them could’ve imagined….and what was going on with the Fox???
This was a heartbreaking story…Dahlia had been the victim of a man that should’ve kept his hands to himself. Not only when she was still a child, but when she was a young adult, too. And the one responsible for her,the one that should’ve stood by her,her own mother, scolded her! Ridiculed her for acting like a child, scolded her for accusing the man responsible for the abuse! Markovitch didn’t know the reasons why she acted the way she did,but he was a patient man. He cared enough to give her the safe place she so badly needed. He may have seen himself as a bad man,but he wasn’t,not with her! In fact,he was the perfect man for her, even if he was a lot older. I loved how he was with Dahlia, and i loved how Dahlia blossomed in his care!
This is the eighth book in this series about Montana Motorcycle Club Daddies and their Littles. While the couple meets for the first time here, I don't consider it a standalone since the MMC, some side characters, and important storylines first began in Untamed Daddy. You'll have a richer reading experience if you read at least these two in order. Note: The author provides welcome trigger warnings at the beginning of every book; and the Age Play includes bottles, onesies, and pacifiers, no diapers.
This is an Older Man/Younger Woman (of course) riff on DD/lg as Crime Boss Markovich, searching for the man who killed his wife and kidnapped his daughter, finds the woman he never knew he needed when she literally falls into his lap. Sweet and innocent Dahlia is perfect for him, but will her traumatic past and his uncertain future ruin their relationship before its barely begun?
Ms. Roberts' books are very popular and very formulaic. The aspects that many readers enjoy are present: the consent, the possessive/protective man who will do anything for his woman, the humorous dialogue, the quirky community (which we see less of here) -- all make these books the erotic literary version of comfort food: they're sweet; they're easily consumed; they're simple; and they're instantly forgettable. Even with all the samey-ness, I might still enjoy them if the author's female characters hadn't become increasingly more victimized and less autonomous with every book: they're now little more than collections of neuroses, tics, and phobias -- no longer recognizable as adult women, much less human beings.
3 stars. I do appreciate the Fox, but unless anything changes in the next book (a spin-off series featuring Gray), I won't review any more. They're slow, repetitious (whole pages are devoted to someone finding the courage to simply walk up the stairs, and filled with redundant scenes, dialogue, and monologues), and interchangeable (other than the stuffie du jour, I defy anyone to tell these characters apart). Though I used to like Ms. Roberts, I now skim rather than read her books. While I understand that authors want to offer their fans the popular and familiar, there has to be at least a modicum of difference in each product. Side Note: I'm not one for smexy times with the parents and I continue to wonder why the author depicts every woman who isn't a Little as a stereotypical b*tch.
When you've been binge-reading Laylah Roberts' novels for months and are convinced you've already met you favorite Little, surprise! Meet Dahlia, the Little featured in Boss Daddy, the eighth book in Laylah Roberts' MC Daddies series who shows up and is both deeply troubled yet absolutely hilarious, and the fact that she speaks whatever comes into her head aloud made this one thoroughly delightful read, and it gets 5 stars from this reader.
We find out a lot in this novel, like the identity of Mr. X, which came as a huge surprise, but most of the reveals would be spoilers, so I can't tell you about him, or the other reveals in this sometimes really dark and sometimes really lighthearted novel, but what I can tell you is that there are plenty of triggers, which include: past sexual assault, past child abuse, death of both a spouse and child, and kidnapping, as well as anxiety/panic attacks, so if those are triggers for you, be forewarned.
If you've not read any of the previous books in this series, in the case of this novel, you most probably should--most of the characters in this book have been featured and/or mentioned in earlier novels, and yes, The Fox shows up in this one too, so there's danger and treachery afoot, and from persons and in places you've probably never suspected. It made for some shocking revelations, but Ms. Roberts also included some truly sweet, endearing and funny scenes as well, as Mr. Markovich tries to relate to and deal with Dahlia's many issues.
In short, this novel was a perfect blend of danger, suspense, mystery, and trauma, as well as kindness, sweetness, sexiness, and healing that was sometimes brutal, yet still remained charming, endearing, and even funny. It made for one excellent read, and I'm happy to recommend it.
I voluntarily read an author-provided, advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions stated are my own.
4.4 stars. I won’t lie, this wasn’t what I was expecting, but I still loved it.
First off, I had theories and suspicions about who Markovich’s girl was gonna be and I was totally wrong. Which is, 1: not the author’s fault, and 2: totally fine and I really loved the FMC in this so I wouldn’t want someone else now that I’ve ‘met’ her.
Second, we don’t get very much interaction or even much discussion about past characters in the series besides the ones directly connected to Dimitri. So, his daughter, Emme and her man Reyes, and the Fox. Though even then we don’t get much of. Again. Totally fine, I just sort of miss them so I was hoping to see more of them.
The plot was interesting and full of reveals that ultimately led to more questions than answers for the bigger picture, but it was super entertaining.
Their relationship is adorable, healing, sexy perfection. The thing that this author does so damn well, in my opinion. I loved the way Markovich turns so tender for Dahlia. It’s so sweet.
Like most of this author’s books, I’d classify this as a slow burn. Mainly because the sexual relationship doesn’t really progress much until around 2/3s or the way through. But the emotional and romantic relationship progresses much faster. I think it’s mostly because of the DD/lg aspect of their relationship that Laylah does this. And in this case also because Dahlia has triggers when it comes to touch and Dimitri wants her to be completely comfortable with him before he..proceeds.😏
So I loved all of that. Of course the DD/lg aspect of the book is really well written. I love that she included scenes where Dimitri isn’t sure what to do, and even a scene where he sort of makes a mistake that he has to fix. It was endearing to see him learn and grow along with Dahlia, since this is his first relationship where he’s exploring being a ‘Daddy’. Loved it.
Then there’s the ending. Fuuuuck. I’m just sort of reeling from the information that basically exploded in our faces.
All I’m gonna say about that is that I am crossing ALL of my fingers, hoping that we get a book dedicated to the Fox. I have been wanting one since we first learned about him and with everything we see him do I yearn for it more.
Just. Yes. I loved the book. I’m just sad it’s over and in a bit of a shock with how things ended.
Re-Read: 10/21/22 4.6 stars. I am SO freaking stoked to find out what the hell the Fox is up to! I’ve been rereading this series to refresh my memory on what he’s said and trying to find any clues as to who he’s gonna end up with. It’s been fun revisiting these characters. I love them. 🥰
I am an avid fan of Laylah Roberts for a long time and I have to say that I have loved reading Markovich's story. He was a character that I had wanted for a while to have his own story because of the fact that he has suffered a lot and deserved to have his own happy ending. Well, now he already has it.
However, I cannot give my 5 stars because there have been a couple of things that I did not like very much. And I want to talk about them.
The first is Dahlia, the protagonist. In general, I liked her and I know from the comments that many have also loved Dahlia, but for me she has some weak points. This is a personal preference but when the co-star is a man who has power and some authority (he's the boss of a mafia or the prince of a distant kingdom or whatever) I like that the protagonist who is going to be his wife is someone that not only supports him, but can also be a help to him. And that she is not so helpless and naive all the time. The main problem I have with Dahlia is that she is too delicate and helpless. Generally Laylah Roberts does her protagonists like that and so far I haven't had any complaints, but there is also a limit and it seems to me that Dahlia has overcome it. She constantly trips and falls, or slips out of the shower, or runs away, or forgets to eat, or says things without thinking, etc. Sometimes she's funny and other times she comes off as a little rude. And that's not counting the sequels that her trauma has left her, which make her unable to be touched and a series of other things (By the way, I've realized that the topic of phobias/traumas in the protagonists of Laylah Roberts is increasingly more common). There have been times in the book that have given me the feeling that Markovich was taking care of a five-year-old girl rather than his girlfriend and I admit that Dahlia, although I liked her, also made me desperate at times. She is too sensitive and unable to take care of herself. I prefer other protagonists of MC Daddies, like Jewel, Millie, Betsy or Livvy.
The second thing is that the ending, although it was full of surprises and intrigues that I am not going to reveal, has been written too quickly and hastily, as if the author was in a hurry to finish. Before the last 30 pages the plot was slow and we were just eating scenes of Markovich and Dahlia playing ageplay and fucking, and suddenly we have an ending worthy of a James Bond movie. I haven't had time to process all the information while reading because more and more new things were appearing. I would have preferred Laylah Roberts to have taken it easy on the ending, but oh well.
Anyway, this novel has been good and I am definitely not going to miss The Fox novel, which is one of my favorite characters.
I’ve loved this series from the start and I’ve been a fan of Laylah Roberts ever since!
I am glad to see the series coming to a conclusion soon (I would assume, since it seems Fox’s book is coming up next). I feel like I’ve become a bit less interested with each new book. Part of it is a “it’s me, not you” situation where I want more romance and sexy times but what I got was bottles, pacifiers and non-stop daddy-little time but no adult Dahlia- adult daddy Dimitri time.
Dahlia: (after being carefully changed into a onesie, swaddled & given a pacifier) “I’m a blanket burrito”
Daddy Markovich: “So you are. A delicious blanket burrito.” He pretended to eat her tummy, making her giggle more.
Ok, that is way too cute. But it was pretty much the entire book. It felt like there wasn’t much story except, she bumped her chin and needed soothed. Then she ran and fell and bumped her knee and a whole chapter on getting an ice pack. Then she thought it would be fun to climb out a 2nd floor window, and she needed corner time and to write lines. She decided to dust a bookcase and need to be spanked because she could have fallen and gotten hurt. You get the idea, and it was just too much.
Also, I was not a major fan of this poor broken girl. Her issues had issues and this book needs to have about a million Trigger Warnings slapped on it. Physical Assault, pedophilia/ grooming, sexual harassment, near sexual assault, panic attacks, major OCD, major PTSD, self-harm, and the list goes on. What happen to this girl is no joke, but her level of PTSD seems to far exceed what one might expect from such a traumatic event. I felt like it was making up a large part of the story because there just wasn’t that much story. All I kept thinking was, this girl has been like this for years? She really just needs to talk to someone, like anyone. Maybe get some therapy and get her life back? But nope.
One thing I did really like was that there was a very good introduction and reasoning as to why one might choose to become a daddy-dom and what they actually get out of that relationship. I often find myself cringing at what would be, very NOT sexy, little girl behavior. How does someone (daddy) not find the behavior childish and annoying AF. I found it annoying AF, lol. But I do have a better understanding as to why some might feel that type of relationship is fulfilling.
So basically, down a star for too much ddlg time, not enough romance/ relationship/ sexy time. And down an additional star for huge lack of plot. It was difficult for me to finish which is rare.
This series is more fully enjoyed when read in order, but the story is a stand alone.
I could go on and on about how much I love Ms. Roberts and everything she writes. I could gush about her fabulous characters that both break your heart and make you giggle throughout the entire book. I could praise her steamy scenes and the way she portrays her Daddies and Littles in the most fierce and touching ways. I could describe the excitement that I get when I know she's close to releasing another book that I won't be able to put down. I could talk about this stuff all day long and never tire of encouraging everyone to read her books. She is a master at her craft and I know quite a few people who push everything aside to devour her words. These are the reasons you should read her all of her books.
The reasons, other than those listed above, for why you should read this one are that Markovich is finally getting his Little, and she's perfect even if she is a little broken. And Dahlia is finally going to fit all her pieces back together and find the happiness she deserves. There aren't as many interactions with other characters from the previous books, but this one provides some long awaited answers. It also provides some new questions and takes things I thought I knew and tosses them on their head. It's also a sort of jumping point for a whole new series that I can't wait to read.
The only warning you need is that if you have ever suffered trauma and experienced a panic attack you may be living those moments again through Dahlia's eyes. They are depicted in almost the exact way I experienced them and the memory was difficult. Not difficult enough to make me put down the book because I knew Dahlia would come out on top, but still painful and heartbreaking.
No plot spoilers No real potential triggers although there is reference to assault. There are some errors, which truly irritate the life out of me because they are repeated in every single book by this author. The characterisation is good and the plotline engaging enough to make the errors all the more annoying. Plus, as an experienced author with dozens of books published, why hasn't the author eliminated the errors? Missing words and mixed tense are amateur mistakes that could be easily remedied by a decent proof reader and editor. This is Markovitch's story, and I loved both his and Dahlia's characters. There is some swearing. There are several DD/lg sex scenes. I found the Mr X revelation rushed, with no real indication of what was going on, and the Fox element too forced. I don't know if there will be further books in this series, but I suspect there will be. I'm not sure I will purchase more in the series, mostly because the sub plot hasn't actually moved forward for quite some time. If you are a fan of the genre I have no problem recommending the series but would advise reading from the beginning to obtain the best reading experience.
I’ve been waiting for Marcovich’s story and it did not disappoint. Meeting Dahlia was wonderful and watching these two fall for each other was a treat. There’s a large age gap between these two characters. But even though she’s a little she’s very mature. She’s wounded and has been through a lot. But she’s pulled herself up to the point that she’s trying (if not succeeding) to manage her issues. She needed someone caring and older to allow her to trust. And he needed someone younger to let go of his fierce need to constantly work and just have a little fun. They complement each other in the best way.
There was also some very new information about the Fox. It was extremely confusing information and is frankly just making me want his story even more, but I’m not going to spoil anything. I will say that you’re going to want to at least read through the final few chapters of this book before you read the Fox’s book when it comes out in October.
I would like to that the author for the ARC I received in exchange for my honest review.
I absolutely adore all of Layla’s books and this series in particular is a favourite! I’m confused again about the overarching plot but I had a feeling we weren’t going to get all the answers in this book considering the foxes book is next (I’m so excited!!). Markovich is a character I’ve been curious about since Abby and Kent’s book, I’m so glad we got his full story and he got his happy ending with Dahlia who is such an incredible character, her strength and bravery after everything she’s been though was amazing and they’re perfect for each other. I can’t wait to see what’s coming next in this wonderful world that Layla has created!
I swear with every single book she writes I say it is my new favorite. I have been waiting for Markovich's story since he was introduced and it finally arrived! If anyone deserves a happily ever after it is Markovich and he finds it in here with Dahlia. The twists and turns in this one seem never ending. The plot that has been simmering in the background of the series keeps the action moving until the very end. Our favorite assassin makes more than one appearance and is just as mysterious as ever. The age gap is one of the biggest ones we have had in the series but it suits them perfectly. Dahlia needed an older take charge Daddy to care for her and Markovich needed to be that type of caregiver. He is so deliciously protective. The sibling style relationship between Dahlia and Gray had some laugh out loud moments for me and the set up for his book has me counting the days until the release of his book! Definitely 5 stars. I got an ARC copy of this book for review, but I already purchased it for myself to go with the other 7 in the series.
Laylah Roberts brings her readers another wonderful story from the MC Daddies series. It's a little darker than her other books so please heed the warnings. Right off the bat, we see Fox..............oh yes! I'm so waiting for his story later on this year but he is in a lot of this story. I loved watching Markovich and Dahlia's story grow and develop. This story has a lot of twists and turns that I never saw coming and I was surprised at who Mr. X is when it's revealed. I honestly can't say a whole lot because there would be spoilers but this story is everything.
Laylah, has a gift of making the words come alive and you can not stop reading till you get to the end. There is always the good the bad and the Fox. I did not want it to end I am going to read them all over again and hope the next one comes soon
"Rex t'a laissé passer ?"
« N'aurait-il pas dû ? »
Merde.
Boss Daddy is the eighth book in Laylah Robert’s MC Daddies series. In it, she focuses on the romantic journey of Dahlia Paulsen and Drew “Demetri” Markovich. Dahlia is an innocent Lg living in an RV hiding from her dysfunctional and distant family. She suffers from PTSD from actions of her step-uncle who relentlessly seeks nonconsensual sex with her. She waitresses at a club that Markovich frequents. She safes him from several attempts on his life. Markovich is a local crime boss. He finds himself intrigued and attracted to this young vulnerable woman. She awakens his protective and possessive streaks. She is in danger. Can he keep her safe? Will he vanquish her demons? You must read this book to find out what happened.
This was an enjoyable age-play romance filled with multi-dimensional lead characters. Readers witness the trials and tribulations that plague these two and how they face them. Ms. Robert’s skill with dialog is outstanding. I enjoy her use of a dual POV to help her readers get a better understanding of Dahlia and Drew. Ms. Roberts did a superb job in capturing my attention that I did not want to put this book down. Nicely done, Ms. Roberts.
I was actually not interested in reading Markovich Story. And after finishing the book it definitely wasn’t worth it. The only thing keeping me here was the Fox.
Dahlia is a bit too cringe for me. The whole act of saying something „unhinged“ and than going all „OMG I can’t believe I said that out loud, how eMbArRaSsInG of me 🥺👉🏻👈🏻“ is giving pick me, chose me, love me.
The books are also getting more and more bland, cause the storyline is always the same. The FMC has an abusive past (in some way or another) and because of that needs special attention from the MMC (before they even date). The MMC is super protective and goes all daddy over her and suddenly they’re together. But because that can’t be enough, they endure some kind of kidnapping and the Fox is involved in the situation as well. Like come one the FMC of this story gets kidnapped trice… TRICE! Enough with this bullshit😭.
Please spice up the story lines and don’t give us a taste of nothing with every book that’s continues this series.

Wonderful story, I loved this wonderful addition to the series totally impossible to put down This was simply wonderful addition and I have thoroughly enjoyed every single moment of this book it had every thing I have come love from Laylah Roberts books. The story is simply heart wrenching at time and yet there is humour and love and laughter along with retribution and harsh reprisals for those that were evil. Dahlia had started working at the bar the Suck and Blow and as hard as it was for her to be in this situation, she had been doing her very best and had managed to work for two days and then she had been sacked because she saved the owners life. Mr Markovich was surprised by Dhalia she was he suspected a little but there was also a great deal more going on than he first thought, as the story open you will be astonished by the deviousness of what this woman has lived through and how their lives were actually connected so many years prior with his daughter that had been stolen as a baby. As the story progresses you like myself will be drawn inti this wonderful story with its twists and turns it will hold your attention within its pages and you will be left as always looking forward to future books in this series. I do not want to spoil the plot so will say no more about the three of them, I assure you that you will enjoy every single moment of this book. I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
Reading a Laylah Robert’s story is like drinking a cup of hot chocolate, cuddled under a blanket in front of the fireplace. I know I am getting something that brings me comfort, is sweet and hot! Her books are on my auto purchase list because I am never disappointed. Boss Daddy is her latest and even after reading every book she has written, I still find myself surprised at how good her books are. Each heroine is a Little, but they are still unique and charismatic. The heroes are dominant, possessive and protective which is exactly what you want in a Daddy Dom. I especially loved Boss Daddy because of how fragile yet strong Dahlia was. Life hadn’t been kind but her inner strength helped her survive until she literally fell into the lap of the perfect Daddy. Mr. Markovich had given up on finding love until Dahlia came into his life. As their relationship grew, I found myself cheering them on. Dahlia deserved someone to protect and love her and Mr. Markovich deserved someone to love and care for. In addition to these two, Ms. Roberts continued to give us peeks into other couples we have read about before and even more information about the elusive Fox. New characters were introduced who definitely deserve their own stories and I can’t wait for them.
This story centers around Dimitri Markovich. His wife was murdered and his daughter was kidnapped. Dimitri felt that he didn’t want love after his wife died and his daughter kidnapped. Then a waitress at a restaurant/bar called Suck ‘N’Blow literally fell into his lap. This story also involves human trafficking. Dahlia warns Dimitri about men with guns. He wants to protect this young woman. Dahlia had a bad childhood. She was abused by a family member and her mother didn’t believe her because her mother was an awful person. Dimitri feels that he is t a good guy but there is something about Dahlia. He can’t leave her at her place unprotected so he takes her back to his place where he has bodyguards. Dahlia is very much a Little. Dimitri decides that he wants to be her Daddy and lover. He is very careful and protective with Dahlia. He has a guy that works with him named Gray. She calls Gray “grumpy gramps”. I liked Gray he was quite funny. Dimitri thought that Gray wanted Dahlia but he realized that he was wrong. Dimitri does special things for Dahlia like building a blanket fort in his office for her, buys her cute pacifier’s, onesies and he spends lots of time with her. There are cute moments between Dimitri and Dahlia and spicy moments and sweet moments. I liked reading this book.
I’m loving this series very much and I can’t wait to read about Fox. I had confusing feelings about this particular part of the series.
Dahlia was as cute as a button, but had this weird obsession with hot water and burning her skin constantly, which derived from her obsessive feelings that she was dirty. This kind of made me feel uncomfortable and squeamish throughout the book because I couldn’t really get into the mood of a sexy daddy/little dynamic, knowing that the female character is constantly feeling such discomfort all the time. It’s sort of grossed me out that she’d always be rubbing and irritating herself. I mean I empathize and totally understand that she was abused and I thought she was this lovable character in many ways and I also love how protective her Russian daddy was even though he wasn’t technically a part of the MC. However, it was a bit drawn out after awhile and the scratching and sores she caused went over board. Finally, I also just didn’t like the holes in the ending. I know there may be an explanation for it in the next part of the series but it was quite frustrating.…Otherwise I really have no complaints because it was beautifully written story And I loved how sweet he was to her.
Unlike the rest of the MC Daddies books this one actually takes place outside of the MC club and whilst Reyes is briefly mentioned the focus is mainly on Markovich and his men.
One of the main things I really enjoyed about this book is the fact that Dahlia the Little has a lot of extra issues. Whilst all the Littles in the MC Daddies series have some kind of trauma or past issue none of them have issues to the extent of Dahlia. Dahlia has a lot of sensory issues that apply to everything from people touching her to the clothing that she wears and a struggle to eat too. She has panic attacks and OCD tendencies that lead to harming herself. It was wonderful to read the ways in which her issues were handled. Markovich was so gentle and patient with her and the writing used to describe both her feelings and how their actions affected her was wonderfully done. In a Daddy/Little relationship where caregiving is a main aspect it was important to see how those sensory issues were dealt with.
As with all MC Daddies books there were some twists and very unexpected turns that all added to the drama. A few of the sideline characters such as Gray were really well written and I’d love to read more about him.
Lots to unpack with this one. Lots of PTSD from FMC. It was sweet to see how MMC took care of her because of her past trauma.
The larger story arc wasn't fully here and I wondered why this one was in the MC daddies because Markovich (?? spelling) isn't part of the MC. A scene with Reyes, and a phone call was really the only tie in with the MC. Except this had the Fox and he's been a part of the larger story arc.
The steam was very low, no "bedroom" activity until about 80% into the book. A few kisses and "kisses" earlier but they were infrequent.
I like the Fox and feel that there's always a reason why he does stuff, and he isn't careless.
I'm looking forward to the conclusion, fox had been my favorite since book 1.
The last few books have felt very repetitive; do many similarities that it is hard to distinguish and really separate the FMC characters because their trauma's (while different) make them feel inferior and the inner monologues and intrusive thoughts were like a slight change to a copy & paste.
I've become a little obsessed this series. Wanting to know all the things and how everything ties together. This is an important story for those things. I just felt like it fell flat compared to other couples.
As someone who has dealt with trauma, and had anxiety and PTSD- I feel like this book, represented it so well, it’s so hard to explain to somebody how you are feeling and how you aren’t even in the room anymore, it completely takes you back to the event. I absolutely love the underlying storyline of the Fox, and how each book it ties together somehow it keeps me reading this series over and over, I cannot wait to read Fox’s book. 🦊 I LOVED DIMI 🫣 I didn’t know how I was going to feel about reading about him after reading Emme’s book, but I absolutely loved their love story. The spice in this book was HOT HOT HOT 🥵 It was amazing,it kept me on my toes. I will definitely be making this a re-read. Once I finish the series. I have to say this series and the criminal bosses series are the best series Leylah Roberts has ever done, I’m obsessed.
I have to say that these books do such a good job of really feeling the love story between the characters and not rushing the ending. It all makes it very satisfying. Even if there story continues in books later on.
- who knew i’d be excited for Markovitch’s story?? age play, age gap, praise k!nk! - check TW! - his nickname for her is the cutest - Dimitri is the biggest softie ever😭 i love him sm - the trauma Dahlia went through😭 i just want to give her a big hug - this man has so many names in one book - when Dahlia finally met Emme🥺 acc precious - that came out of nowhere holy shit - I WAS SO CONFUSED - i feel like Mr. X’s identity was a bit anticlimactic tbh - Dahlia’s character development was so so good, i was so proud of her - i wish there was more Emma and Reyes in this book i thought there would be - and no one else was in it!! Livvy and Sav were mentioned like once but that’s it!! no Tabby and Razor🥺 - the epilogue was insane in the best possible way - BUT WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON, IF THE FOX HAS ACC BETRAYED THEM I WILL GO FERAL - like will it be his book next?? he couldn’t of done that tho surely, Sunny wouldn’t forgive him - do we think Gray is going to get a book, that would be ace - i need answers and i need them now
Ok here's the thing. Each book gets longer and that makes the reading worse. There's too much focus on little time and it's not enjoyable. I get that this is a ddlg book but seriously we can only spend so much time repeating all the "little" content over and over. It's not needed. Then the big "secret" to her trauma, well it might sound crappy to say, but it's not as life shattering as I thought it would be. I've experienced worse trauma than that in my life as a teen so I don't say that lightly. Plus, with each book, we start good and interesting - then there's like 20 chapters where nothing happens - then she stuffs all of the "meat" of the story into the last 2 chapters. It just pisses you off because you waste so much time. Then - Gray is a major character in the first half of the book and then he almost completely disappears in the last half of the book. It didn't make sense. So that leaves me here - the Fox is coming and I'm almost positive Laylah is going to ruin it by trying to make this a serious book instead of the fun sexy books that she started the series with.
What a Wonderful continuation of this Series as we join Mr Markovich and the new journey his life, is about to take .You can feel a restlessness and frustration in him as he tries to find the elusive Mr X who destroyed his life in Russia and murdered his wife and stole his daughter .Emme remains the brightest spot in his life Enter Dahlia a broken Woman /Little who has suffered from neglect and abuse in her life she is terribly afraid of crowds and touch especially stranger’s touch but she is also feisty and has learned to follow what her instinct tells her .She ends up saving Mr Markovich’s life not once but twice but by doing so she has put her own life in danger In this book You will find intrigue, danger ,betrayal and Love lots of Love that made this reader feel Wonderful I received an advanced copy of this book but have purchased a copy as well as with all of her other books Ms.Roberts does not disappoint a truly Wonderful Book
Ahhhh Mr. Markovich, I’m so glad you found your little girl! Dahlia is the perfect little for this alpha crime boss. Dahlia has suffered past abuse and feels broken inside, often suffering from panic attacks. When she is stressed or scared her little often comes to the front and she feels vulnerable. Drew is PERFECT for her! He is so patient with her and always considers her needs. He steps back on his work and makes Dahlia his priority! She thrives under his care and love. I found Dahlia to be unique as she is sometimes non verbal when in little space and I love her rescue missions! I’m also glad to see Gray’s book coming out soon! If you aren’t in love with the surgeon after reading this book then there is no help for you although I sure wish I could have seen his reaction to his Christmas gift from Dahlia! In closing I will just say that I don’t care who the fox turns out to be, I love him! I can’t wait to read his book and see him interact with his little/littles?????❤️
Boss Daddy is book eight of the MC Daddies series of interconnected standalones. I have been waiting for Markovich’s story for a while and it was well worth the wait! We get some much awaited answers about the elusive Mr. X but are left with more questions about Fox…I can’t wait to find out his story!
Markovich has been on the hunt for Mr. X since he killed his wife and kidnapped his daughter. He won’t rest until he has brought justice down on the kidnapper! What he wasn’t ready for was Dahlia literally falling into his lap. She is too sweet and innocent for a man like him but he will do whatever he needs to to protect her.
This book has, action, humor, suspense, drama, romance, secrets, betrayal, and spice. It is a slow burn and concentrates more on the plot and characters. I recommend reading this series in order so that you can completely understand everything going on.
