Atomic Witch
Long story I’m a lifelong wicked witch, but after the do-gooder love of my life died, I dedicated my life to helping the helpless and, let’s be honest, stupid.
Problem 1: My boss thinks I’m the scum of the Earth who has no place in Dangerous Magic Division. It’s not like I wanna be here either, A-hole! At least he's pretty to look at. Not the point...
Problem 2: I’m pretty sure my boss’s fiance is a dirty rotten spy and I’m going to funnel all of my wicked tendenecies into destrpoying her. Try being a beauty queen when I’m done with your face, Princess.
Problem 3: I was kind of sorta stuffed with more power than any witch can possibly handle and if I use ANY of my powers I could explode and kill everyone around me. Don’t worry about it.
So can I make the good guys like me while destroying a spy and keep from using my powers the whole time? Probably not, but it will be fun to try!

I also own a previous version of this book that I hadn't yet read.
Sonia is a member of a new group within Homeland Security called the Dangerous Magic Division. This is a real switch for her as she was previously on the opposite side of the law. An unfortunate incident has made her a more powerful witch, but she can't use her powers because she had no control over them. Her direct boss is a man who previously spent a lot of time trying to arrest her. Carter Blackburn is not at all happy to have Sonia in his new Division. There are very few people currently a part of the DMD, just Sonia, Nico Vegas who has mad hacking skills, and Flora Cox who is a forensic accountant. The big boss is Melanie Lauren who has put her butt on the line to get this group together. Their first case is a future bank robbery that was reported to them by a psychic who works at the bank. If her info turns out to be true, they hope to recruit her to the team.
I don't want to spoil the story for you. Lots of things going down, not only in the supernatural world but also with Sonia and Carter. And no, they are not a couple. The book ends in a cliffhanger, or maybe you would just call it a teaser.

This is Atomic Witch, book one of Dangerous Magic Division series written by Melody Raven. We have Sonia the snarky and quite amusing witch with glitchy powers as she leaves her life of crime and joins the good guys. She is in a new division of the law and trying to find answers without killing anyone or getting herself or her new team members killed in the process. It’s exciting and fun to read with a huge cliffhanger ending, but….book number two is readily available to us! So see ya later! Going to go read Lone Witch now!!

This is a spin off from another series by Melody, which I loved.
The characters are getting to know each other, and they all seem special and with great potential, blending in what promises to become a formidable team.
I can't wait to unravel their secrets and understand their issues, and live all the drama.
Ends in a cliffhanger, but I just have to know what's next.

Great Paranormal Series Starter
This was a great series starter. We are introduced to the team from the DMD and they work their first few cases as they get to know each other. I plan to read the rest of the series.

what’s She Gonna Do?
Good quick read. How can you loose with a good story, lots of suspense, and a snarky witch partnering a handsome detective. I’m already heading to kindle for the second in the series.
