They say opposites attract, and Kash Bennet has decided to test the theory.

I’ve built my life to perfection—the perfect boyfriend, the perfect apartment, the perfect career planning celebrity weddings. But when it all implodes, the gardener at Longbourne is there with a plan to make it better, offering deliverance by way of his beastly arms, roped and corded with muscles, gleaming with sweat and peppered with dirt.

They say the best way to get over someone is to get under someone new, and Kash is ready to prove that right too. The plan is simple enough: let him sweep me off his feet and into his bed, and when my heart is mended, that would be that.

What wasn’t part of the plan? Falling in love with him.

They say there’s no such thing as perfect, but he’s as close as I’ve ever come. I have everything to lose, and it’s all in his hands.

But I was a fool for believing anything they say.

And I never should have tested the theory with my heart.

I was the kid who stayed inside to read.

As a four-eyed nerd with a bad perm, I was no one’s dodgeball pick, but I had a lot of friends. Frodo and Bilbo, for instance. Kristy, Stacey, Claudia and the gang (iykyk). Once, in the third grade, I wrote a teen murder mystery inspired by Christopher Pike. On solving my mystery in twelve pages, I decided I was a terrible writer and should never, ever do that again.

Fortunately, I didn’t take my own advice.

I write romance for that feeling you get at the end, like you’re standing on top of a mountain with a backpack full of hundred dollar bills. I write romcoms because is there anything better than banter and grand gestures? I write because I love to create and I love words. I love books, and I love stretching my imagination. I love love, and if you do too, bring your coffee and have a seat. I think we’re gonna be friends.

Gilded Lily is the second book in the Bennet Brothers series and I was so happy to reunite with this family. This is very much an opposites attract/slow burn romance and I ate it up!

Kash Bennet is the Bennet brother most like his father. He's the gardener, the one who's never left his family, and the most laid back and even tempered. That's why he's tasked to deal with Lila Parker. Lila is Ivy's sister and a high class wedding planner. She's the opposite of Kash in so many ways, and at first, she clashes with him some, but she can't help but to be won over by his charms and easy going demeanor. They end up working together a lot through the florist and when Lila goes through a bad break up, Kash is there.
“The reason rebounds exist, why they happen so often, is that when you’ve been hurt, a distraction makes you forget the pain. And I’ve been told I’m an excellent distraction.”

Their story starts with a good old fashioned rebound. No one is looking for anything serious, they even have rules. But rules are meant to be broken when it comes to matters of the heart. With just a short amount of time, these two start to fall hard for one another. And who could blame Lila? Kash Bennet is an easy guy to fall for.

Kash is for sure my favorite Bennet brother so far. There was so much to love about him. I also really loved Lila, too. I love heroines like her. She is a boss babe, a hard worker, and a little high strung but in a good way. I loved how much she cared for her sister, and how she could remain tough and stoic even when faced with adversity. As much as loved them both separately, they really shined when they were together. They complimented each other perfectly.

Staci Hart always writes the best feel good romances. She never fails to put a smile on my face while reading. Gilded Lily is a heartwarming romance that is equal parts sweet and sexy. I'm excited to get more of these Bennet Brother books, especially reading that teaser chapter for Marcus's book! I NEED!!!

Staci Hart...
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways...
You have created this series that has taken me from my everyday life and given me a place to revel in...You have given me a family to root for and think about...Parents who did their best during trying times and sons and daughters who rallied around to resurrect the family business against all odds.

And most importantly, you have given me love stories that are simple but also complex...where each character had real understandable reasons for their shortcomings and when they finally understand the "Big Picture", they take action.

Which brings me to Gilded Lily...OMG, this is a true gem.

At first glance, it is the opposite attraction theme. Lila is an A-Type personality to the extreme that is perfect for her profession as a wedding planner.
Lila has been working all her life to become The Wedding Planner. She worked her way up from the lowest of low during a stint in Los Angeles and then because of her serious success in climbing up the ladder out there, she was able to land her position at the only company she wished to join in New York City.

Lila was on track but there was only one obstacle that made her life miserable, her immediate boss. The owner of the company seemed happy with her but the immediate boss delighted constantly in making Lila's life difficult. She would change the timetable of events to throw Lila, she would micromanage events Lila devoted all her talent to only to take credit for them, and she would do anything she could to break the steel professional calm Lila presented at all times.

Because Lila would not allow anything or anyone break her. She had her goal firmly in place, her eye on the prize and this witch of a woman was not going to stop her from doing what she loved.

She was not about to let the other road bump in her life destroy her goal either...After all, finding your perfect long-time boyfriend bonking the reality star sister of the wedding you are planning was NOT going to kill her determination of making this Reality TV event the best she had ever done.

Lila goes to her sister, Ivy, who is part of the flower shop she is using for the event. Sympathetic and understanding, Ivy listens and hears all Lila has to say...and shares how this ex never met the needs Lila had. That this ex may have been picture-perfect but was far from it in reality. Ivy shares with Lila that in order to get over somebody is to get under somebody new...

Kash Bennet's life has always revolved around the family's business. He was the one who followed in his father's footsteps growing and nursing all the blooms of Longbourne. Working the soil, planting and growing beauty made him appreciate more than most.

He also had a life-changing lesson early on as a young man...He fell hard during high school for a girl from a well to do family. They were The Couple and he planned on visiting her at her college on the weekends, continuing the love. Little did he know, that was not her plan, teaching him a very important lesson...Society girls liked to play with him but didn't want to stay with him.

Fine, he would be the good time guy and never ever get involved. So when Lila, who pushed every button he had, seems to need some getting over her ex...he is fine with helping her out.

Kash told himself he would be strong enough not to let his secret feelings for her surface, his delight in her feisty nature and perfect grooming. He will be the man she needs until she doesn't...

OMFG! This book is so good. The chemistry, the smarts, the care, the feels...all of it worked so well for me. I loved every minute of reading this. What made this wonderful was all of the surrounding parts of this love story. There was the continuing family dynamics of the Bennets and their business situations, there were the continuing insights to the other siblings giving us major hints of other stories to come. All of these elements added to the beauty of this couple. Everything fit.

So Staci Hart, how do I love you...Continually and thank you for this amazing series.

4.5 'Can I get that in writing?' Stars!

These Bennet brothers.. Staci Hart surely knows how to write and create some deliciously charming heroes that will steal a girl’s heart in less than a heartbeat! First Luke and now Kash. I am loving this new series and these outstanding characters! Who wouldn’t knowing they are based in Austen’s beloved characters? Kash and Lila’s story definitely did not disappoint!

So, Gilded Lily is the second installment in Staci’s Bennet Brothers series and it now focuses on Kash Bennet and Lila Parker. Lila has the perfect life: job, apartment and boyfriend. She wants to keep it that way and get her much deserved promotion. However, she catches her boyfriend cheating and everything turns upside down. She needs a distraction. Enter Kash Bennet. Hot gardener, momma’s boy and the perfect man for “no strings attached” sex. Right? Right. What happens when feelings start getting in the mix?

Lila Parker was unhappy. I wondered if she existed in any other state.
Subsequently, I wondered if anyone had ever tried to make her happy.

Ah, another sweet, sexy and funny romance from one of my auto-buy authors and Staci definitely did not fail us. I believe I said this in my review for Coming Up Roses but I adore families like the Bennets. All the family interactions and the love between all the members it’s an aspect I very much enjoy in a romance. I loved how it was even more developed in this second book and how Kash and Lila fall right into it.

Hot was my desire, pent up and tugging at its chains. And Kash held the key in the palm of his broad hand.

Obviously, I also enjoyed a whole lot this couple. Two people who seem quite opposite but simply work so well together. What starts as hilarious banter and sexual tension becomes so much more. I loved how Staci developed this love story and how Kash and Lila could not stop themselves from falling in love for each other. I loved their chemistry and how strong they are as a couple and as individuals, I am so happy they found happiness together.

She was everywhere, in the air, under my skin, living in my heart.

Therefore, I am rating Gilded Lily with 4.5 STARS because I loved how it developed even more on the Bennet family and how Kash and Lila find love in the most unexpected moment. I love Staci Hart’s writing so much and how easy it is for me to fall in love with her characters. I loved this sweet and sexy story and I cannot wait to read the next one in the series (that teaser at the end gave me life!). Highly recommend this one!

Lila knows she wants to use the Bennet families business, Longbourne, for flowers for the wedding she is working on. Not only is it for THE celebrity family you see on TV nightly, it's her chance to prove that she is ready to be on top in the wedding planning biz. Too bad her boss and the youngest celeb sister are out to get her and she doesn't need daily interactions with Kash and his stupid t-shirts on top of that. Everything seems to be going great until her perfectly curated life comes tumbling down. The only stress relief she really needs is a good rebound and Kash is there with his easy charm and offer of no-strings fun. She never realized how good looking he is, how smooth, how complicated this could make things.

Kash is the easy brother, the one who likes his greenhouse work and feels more connection with the flowers and dirt than with the sassy Lila and her white suits. Nevermind that he's pictured her all mussed up, relaxed, and beneath him. Working together is one thing, even being her rebound is alright, but when his feelings just can't be buried anymore he challenges Lila for more. What he isn't ready for is just how different their lives are and just how much he doesn't fit in. With wedding season underway and a family crisis bubbling to the surface, Kash and Lila must decide whether opposites truly do attract or if the blossoming romance is destined to wilt.

"And I had to admit it was nice to be handled just a little."

Talk about not only an incredible retelling, but just an incredibly well-written, magical book. Staci Hart absolutely knocked it out of the park with Gilded Lily, it's just beautiful to read. Like a bouquet, this is a romance that blossoms with time; Kash and Lila's story is an opposites attract story line filled with character growth and emotions that reach out and touch you. It's filled with chemistry, heart, and life. Kash and Lila are easy to like, their goals, dreams, and struggles are so relatable and the added elements of the Bennet business just bring it all together. Plus, somehow Staci Hart managed to write the most beautiful smut scenes I have ever had the pleasure of reading. Seriously, they are works of art.

"The longing and quiet envy I felt struck me in the softest of places."

Gilded Lily is a story of passion, both for one's dreams and for another human. Kash and Lila are both so intense, but in such different ways. Despite their differences they fit together very well. Their coming together is certainly a choice made of convenience, but in time their intensity overflows and along with it their emotions. It's a chaotic time though and Staci Hart brought the wild ride that is a celebrity wedding to life, I even had anxiety. The dialogue in this book felt natural, the settings so easy to picture, and the characters are just so perfect. I love how the characters, including the secondary characters, band together to tackle issues. There is no issue too big for the Bennet clan to tackle and those friends and loves they've added along the way are just as much a part of the family.

"It was anything but casual. And I didn't know just what to do about that."

With the Bennet Brothers series, a Pride & Prejudice retelling, Staci Hart has given us characters with family values, realistic issues, and love stories that play before your eyes like a movie. Gilded Lily had just enough heat, heart, and quirk to keep me turning the pages long after I should have been asleep. I even cried, yes, that's right I cried and no one is surprised at all. I was that attached to this book, it's not even angsty, but it sure did feel like I was physically there! I absolutely recommend this book, this series, and always, always this author.

“I promise to carry you through life, to comfort and protect you. To keep you safe. You asked me once what my passion was, and I’ve finally found it. It’s you.”

Gilded Lily continues the story about the Bennets, focusing on Kash who works at the Longbourne greenhouse and Lila Parker, one of the most sought-out wedding planners.

Lila Parker is one of my favorite female characters now. I instantly gravitate towards characters like her. As said in the book, “She was strength and power, determination and will.” She also keeps her feelings locked up; she hides it to protect herself.

Kash Bennet is also such a good male lead and love interest. He has such a good heart, he cares deeply about his family and Lila. He’s always doting on her too, wanting to make sure she gets what she deserves.

Their relationship is really something else. I’m such a sucker for the kind of dynamic they have. What started as a friends-with-benefits situation in an attempt to get Lila a “distraction” turned into so much more. They set rules to keep things casual but they start to disregard those rules as they start falling for each other.

Lila seemed indestructible but she trusted Kash to show him that little crack in her armor. Kash saw through her, he made Lila feel understood and appreciated. He became her safe place.

As usual, the Bennets are a highlight of this book. Another conflict regarding Longbourne Flower Shop, their family legacy, was introduced here which will get resolved in the next book so I’m looking forward to that. They are such a unit, I love how they always have each other's back. I also enjoyed reading about Ivy from the first book and she definitely has more scenes here since she is Lila’s sister which I’m thankful for!! Her relationship with Dean is so cute too!

If there's anything I didn’t like, it's all the drama with Natasha and Brock and how the conflict between Lila and Kash was dealt with. I still loved the book despite that, though.

This is my favorite Staci Hart book to date!!

"That kiss was a meeting, a linking of self, a connection of body and hearts. It was chemistry, alive and deep, the programming unbreakable."

This is romance pure. I love how the author is able to spin off these Bennet Brother stories paying tribute to Jane Austin. Reading this book was pure bliss. Every character so well drawn and executed, it was so easy to fall for them. This story spiked with a minimum but real felt drama held my interest from the first page to the last.

"Everything about her was an exploration, her body, her mind, the enigma of her demanding. Commanding."

With Gilded Lily Staci Hart delivers another outstanding romance in the Bennet Brothers Series. This book will sweep you off your feet like a feather.

Staci Hart's writing shines in this poetic installment to the Bennet Brother series. The characters were fresh and real, the story was absolutely captivating, and the romance was simply put: perfection. I fell hard for this family, these brothers, and this mesmerizing love story. 5 stars really isn't enough for the beauty in this book. Trust me when I say this is a romance you CANNOT MISS!

4.5 “distraction” “sideways smile” “Can I get that in writing?” Kisses

Oh…my…GAHHHHH!!!! I should really stop being surprised that I have this kind of reaction to Staci Hart’s books…because it seriously happens every time…but I guess I like to be consistent! After I experienced the magic that is the Bennet Boys in Coming Up Roses…I knew I was in for the long haul. I need every single one of their books – and their sister too! That family is pure gold and in Staci’s capable hands, I am down for anything and everything. Luke and Tess were ah-mazing in Coming Up Roses …so the bar is set pretty high but when I saw that Kash was up next, I took a page out of his book, sat back and let the good times roll. And Kash and Lila totally lived up to any and every expectation I could have wanted. That being said…the novels in the Bennet Brothers Series can be read as standalones…each book is about an individual couple and while there is a tiny bit of overlap as far as the characters are concerned, nothing is spoiled. But I do highly recommend both books…you do not want to miss the Bennet’s!

Kassius Bennet…oh my lumberjack lovin’ stars, this man is a million different kinds of wonderful and he doesn’t even realize it. Kash is…understated. I don’t mean that in a bad way at all, it’s actually something I very much appreciated about him…but he is very much about being strong, steady and reliable. He’s not a show off, he’s relatively quiet (compared to some of his other siblings) and at the end of the day…when everyone else moved on, he stuck around. I loved that he and Luke were Irish twins and the bond that it created between them…in a big family I think it’s easy to get lost in the shuffle and I especially felt that vibe from Kash. I loved his passion for gardening…he’s like Dr. Frankenstein with flowers and it’s so freaking cool – I have a black thumb so I geek out over people who can keep plants alive, let alone breed them and make super cool ones. I especially loved his soft and tender heart…he’s built up a strong wall and a lot of coping mechanisms to avoid getting hurt and repeating past mistakes – I totally got that, but that didn’t stop me from worrying over him. He pulled at all my little heart strings and there were many times I wanted to cuddle him and put all 6’2” of him in my pocket to keep him safe. Luckily enough a feisty redhead knows exactly how to take care of him.

‘There weren’t many people I flat-out didn’t like—I got along with everybody and, other than my siblings, avoided conflict unless it was over a thing I had passion for. Lila Parker was my exact opposite. Where I was unruffled, Lila shook her tail feathers like a peacock. Where I’d rather have a beer together than argue, she seemed to argue as her primary mode of communication. And yet, here I sat, wondering over her, curious as to the fire that had forged her and the person who’d lit it.’

Lila Parker…hell on heels and boy if she doesn’t know it. I loved the perfectionist in Lila…that spoke to a deep part of me. She’s a force to be reckoned with and if you wanna see the real fire come out, tell her she’s going to fail. She’s got an extremely strong work ethic, she will not settle for anything less then the best and she’s driven with a capital D to achieve her goals with her career. I was definitely in awe of the boss bitch that was Lila Parker…but my heart ached for her to want more for her life. Outside of work she didn’t really have much and that made me very sad because all work and no play leaves Lila orgasm-less (trust me…that’ll make more sense when you read the book!). I loved watching Lila transform over the course of Gilded Lily - not that there was anything wrong with her but a different perspective is never a bad thing and I feel like Kash showed her possibilities she never considered for herself.

‘The moment we were free of them and nestled in the near darkness, I turned her, cupped her face, and descended for a kiss in a single motion. Surprise stiffened her lips, but in a heartbeat, they yielded, softened, opened to meld to mine. We were a knot of arms and legs and heavy breaths before either of us knew it, and for that brief stretch of time, nothing needed to be said or decided or discussed. It was just the simple truth of her and me.’

Kash and Lila were opposites attract to the max and I was here for every second of it. They’re chemistry was offfff the charts and pure magic. She is a perfectionist and everything about Kash gets under her skin and he doesn’t let any of her persnicketyness bother him…I’m telling you it was absolutely fantastic. And as much as they may not have in common…it was beyond amazing seeing at how well balanced that made them. Once you strip away all the things that don’t matter, they truly have this effortless vibe…he was the calm to her storm and she gave him the peace and control he didn’t know he needed in his life. It’s funny because I realized about half way through Gilded Lily why I loved Kash and Lila as much and as quickly as I did – they were giving me maaaaaajor Joel and Annika vibes (from Tonic ). That is no way, shape or form a bad thing – I loooooved Joel and Annika big time, so if anything that’s a compliment and clearly Staci knows how to write opposites attract exactly to my liking. There are a lot of little moments that added up to me falling so hard for these two…a lot of small, possibly minor things that all added up to a genuine connection that shot straight through my heart.

“There was no lesson to learn, Lila. She should have known better.”
“No, it was an important lesson, the most important lesson I’ve ever learned — people will manipulate you, if you let them. And no one will save you but yourself.”
Sadness touched his face, smoothing his lips, his eyes, his brow. But he didn’t disagree, didn’t pity me or tell me I was wrong. He just watched me for a long moment before finally saying with a quirk of his lips, “Think I can prove you wrong?”
A relieved laugh slipped out of me, along with the phrase of the hour, one I meant more deeply than he knew. “If anyone can, it’s you.”

Well…Staci Hart strikes again! I mean, honestly at this point I’m beyond giddy any time I pick up one of her novels, because I know I’m going to walk away from it insanely happy and for a book worm like me, that’s a recipe for a good time. There is just something about her writing…I know I say that a lot but it’s truly impossible for me to do it the justice it deserves. Her flow and pacing is perfection…her emotions get me every single time…her characters are truly impossible not to love – like I almost challenge someone at this point to not fall in love with her hero’s and heroines. They’re majestic I tell you! She is by far and away one of my favorite writers and I love getting excited to read her books. I know she is going to transport me…take me away…make me feel all the things and fall in love and I live for it. I looooove what she is doing with this series and the way each book is building off of the other and I have complete faith that she will do the Bennet’s proud. Also – I know I’ve mentioned this before in other reviews, but I have to say it again – I L-O-V-E that she does chapter titles. It’s small…it’s random…but it makes all the difference in the world. It’s a small added detail that gives the book just a little bit more character and makes it all the more special.

‘I turned to press a kiss into her palm. “You didn’t do flings? Well, I don’t do serious. And I’ve realized I am very serious where you’re concerned.”
“Well, lucky for you, I’m a pro,” she teased, giving me the words I’d given to her what seemed like ages ago. “And for the record, I’m very serious where you’re concerned too. I’m not going anywhere, Kash — I’m afraid you’re stuck with me.”
“Promise?” I asked with a sideways smile.
“Promise,” she echoed, stretching up to seal it with a kiss that washed my worry away, leaving only my trust and faith in her. In us.’

The ending was…interesting. I liked that I was kept on my toes…it was far from predictable and yet it stayed true to the characters (even if I wanted to wring ‘someone’s’ little neck just a tiny bit!). I loved every single one of the little twists I didn’t see coming…they were completely original and it was the best. Everything was perfectly orchestrated to give Kash and Lila everything they deserved…so obviously I couldn't be anything but happy about it. I don’t think I stopped smiling for one second. I loved there was a little hint dropped at the end about Marcus’s story and then…it got better! There is a sneak peak of the first chapter of Marcus’s book at the end – I die!!! Mum’s the Word is the next book and holy bananananana’s – I cannot even! I’m so ready, I’m already insanely hooked on him and Maisie and I’ve barely gotten a taste but I can already tell, it’s going to be super juicy and angsty!!! #BringOnTheBennetBrothers

This book was an amazing little suprise.
I connected with the characters so fast, so naturally, and so fiercely, I have to give it to the author for a job well done.
Only wish there was more story, and more of the outstandingly strong female character that was Lily.

Did you love Coming Up Roses? Then you'll probably love Gilded Lily even more.

These Bennett Brothers are sure turning out to be pretty awesome. Kash is definitely my new favorite. He's so sweet and just adorkable. I loved how he wanted Lily even when she was a mean b**ch to him. He wanted to unravel her and he got his wish and so much more.

I love how these two were always so much more than friends with benefits. Kash was there for LIly in every aspect of her life, he was her defendor, protector and her lover. And watching these two fall in love was amazing. Lily's life was full of drama and mean girls who wanted to ruin her and she showed just how strong, bada** and stoic she was. I love how she never showed how everything was affecting her and never let those girls win. She made me proud and I'm so glad her client's sister never got what she wanted.
In the midst o it all, with the help of Kash, Lily realised her worth and that she didn't have to endure everything she did just because that had always been her dream job... dreams change. Even after everything, after all she was put through, she showed how great a person she was when she gave a second chance to someone who had always been out to get here.

Yup guys, it's definitely true. I do love these two more than Luke and Tess (runs and hides). I loved seeing them again and how happy and in love they are. And the whole family too, they are a beautiful family who loves each other fiercily and is willing to do anything for each other. I'm scared about the future of the Longbourne flower shop after the bomb that was dropped at the end of this book but I'm sure Marcus will find a solution to their problem and oh boy his book already sounds so good. Oof, I can't wait!

5 REBOUND CROWNS

Book two, Gilded Lily, in the standalone Bennet Brothers series is another must read from Staci Hart. I absolutely adored this couple, their romance, and them as individuals. As always, Staci Hart's writing is beautifully crafted, adding an extra level of charm to this already amazing story.

Kash, with his subtle and calm nature, will captivate your heart. He is accepting and kind, and I loved all of the silent support and encouragement he gave to the heroine. What was refreshing about his character was the insecurity he possessed. I would venture to say that his feeling of not being enough, of being the forever rebound, is one that we often see in woman, and yet, Hart was still able to portray as masculine and swoon-worthy. It allowed readers to empathize with him and fall in love with this contemplative gardener.

Lily has a tough exterior, one built to protect her very fragile heart. I found her to be very relatable, as a woman who felt she couldn't show her emotions on the outside and often reserved her sadness for her times of isolation. I enjoyed her evolution most, and found that many themes could be taken away from the lessons she learned - being passionate about life, being less focused on perfection, finding someone to share the quiet moments of life with. I loved who she was a person and who she became with Kash.

This story truly had it all: the sweet intimate moments between a couple in love, the steamy moments that heat up e-readers, the hilarious scenes with the secondary characters, and story line that keeps readers engaged. While the characterization and exposition and rising action will have the reader predicting the conflict, the manifestation of the conflict and how the climax came to be was fantastic and a bit unexpected. The ending. My God, the ending was everything romantically perfect. And the sneak peek for book three! I am here for it. All of it.

This standalone series is shaping up to rival the RLC series (my absolute favorite from Hart), maybe for different reasons, but they are both equally brilliantly written with captivating stories and characters, wholly romantic in the emotional and physical aspects, and profound in the themes that are developed through each book. I am absolutely in love.

Staci Hart has a knack for dramatic flare and lyrical prose, which Gilded Lily had in spades! This is the second book of the Bennet Brothers series.

Kassius "Kash" Bennet is jaded. He's been burnt by love which makes him distrustful. He's got the gardener gene and the love he has for the greenhouse shows in the beauty he creates with the flowers. He's not shy when it comes to putting Lila in her place or calling her a priss. So naturally, he's the one tasked to work with the edgy wedding planner.

"She was a tree aflame with autumn. The strike of a match, embers and sparks. A sunset that set the sky on fire."

Lilac "Lila" Parker I would say was the character to have grown and changed the most. She was superficial in the beginning with her high heels and white suits (explains the cover)... Until Kash offers her the chance to be her rebound and flips her whole world upside down.

"God, he was massive, a brute made of muscle and sinew. He belonged to the earth he tilled, cut from stone, hair black as a raven, eyes blue as the sea. Beautiful in the rugged, wild way, unpolished and unrefined and unquestionably right just the way he was."

This was very much an opposites attract romance. What started off as a "rebound" soon bloomed into more. Lila dreamt of a different life and in each vision she saw Kash. But with any good relationship there has to be a bit of drama and drama there was.

Its hard not to fall in love with this family... These siblings. Gilded Lily was such a heartwarming story with lots of family dynamics involved. The perfect mix of sweet and sexy. Now, many may say Kash is their favorite but I feel like Marcus might take the cake. That PREVIEW! I need his book today!

“Can I get that in writing?”

I absolutely loved this modern retelling of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, book #2 in the Bennet Brothers series. Kash Bennet is the epitome of laid-back. Nothing seems to ruffle his feathers, he is always calm and relaxed, even where his heart is concerned. He's a gardener for his family's florist shop and he knows not to fall in love because who wants to end up with the gardener? Lila Parker is a wedding planner at the most sought after, prestigious firm in Manhattan and she is the exact opposite of Kash...uptight, hard, cold and sometimes downright bitchy. But, Kash can see the true Lila under the "mask" she wears and after beginning to work more closely together, he makes her an offer she can't refuse. This story has wonderful, well developed characters and I loved watching their relationship unfold. I laughed out loud, I cried and I seriously wanted to reach into my Kindle and throat punch Kash several times(Ugh, hardheaded men)! This is a beautiful book and series and I can't recommend them enough!

I've been reading this book for about 2 weeks with on and off interest. I wouldn't say it was a true enemies to lovers romance, more old acquaintances to lovers, but in the end I still enjoyed the story. It's safe.

I couldn’t wait to get back to Longbourne. That crazy Bennet family kind of left a lasting impression on me. But Longbourne, the flower shop in the Village of New York City, did too. I personally think that Staci Hart has a knack for creating great romances in the most original and unique places. This is why she is one of my favorites.

Kassius, aka Kash, was a great character and more appealing to me than Luke. Kash was more reliable and steady. He was also calm, patient, rational, and loving. I’m glad that Hart didn’t make a too big a deal of his past. It was perfect as it was and everything else would have been too dramatic and too much.
When I first met Lila, I wasn’t sure what to think of her, except for “What a spoiled, rich, arrogant, and stuck up person!” I quickly realized that it wasn’t true at all. On the contrary. She is actually a great and loving person. I had fun watching Lila’s transformation throughout the book.
Lila and Kash couldn’t be more different but somehow they clicked. Lila was always on edge, stressed, and trying to make everything perfect and to please everyone. Kash was her haven of peace. He calmed her like no one else could. I guess that’s why they were so perfect for each other. They not only challenged one another, they also brought out the best in each other.

“If I asked you for more, would you give it?”

I also really enjoyed the subplot which actually began to form in Coming Up Roses already. I haven’t read very many rom-coms that feature a plot spanning over the entire series yet but it should be used more often in my opinion. It’s fun to have an overall plot besides the main plots in the respective installments.

Reading and learning about Lila’s job as a wedding planner was really cool. However, I found the celebrity aspect and the story evolving around it, slightly too much. But that’s only my personal opinion.

I’m not 100% sure but I may have spotted a shoutout to fellow indie author and bestie Kandi Steiner. <3
Gilded Lily was a great book but I was missing that special something to make it a 5 star read. Let’s see how Marcus will do in the spring of 2020.

”She was beautiful because she was mine. In that moment, the woman who gave nothing gave herself to me. To me. And that gift would not be squandered.”

Wow. Gilded Lily goes BEYOND everything that has ever been described as exquisite as Staci Hart’s writing. Gilded Lily in a way is the flower that can’t be unearthed even in the wildest is storms. THAT perfectly indicates Lila and Kash’s love. And THAT is how Staci continuously writes her books.

You guys I can’t even. The story was beyond amazing but with this one, Staci’s writing took the cake. MORE THAN the cake. I just can’t explain Staci’s prose when it comes to Gilded Lily. Everything about me is still nose in the book, pages constantly turning, and feels reeling and I finished this book DAYS ago.

Kash and Lila are the bees fucking knees. It’s enemies to lovers and friends to lovers all in the same mix and if anyone can pull that off while writing a book akin to the best poetry you’ve ever read, Staci can do it. And she did it with Gilded Lily.

”I broke the kiss, turning my face to the sky, hanging on to him like an anchor in a storm. But he was the storm, unbridled in my arms, raw and wild and beautiful.”

I love Staci’s brilliant mind and the way she has transformed Jane Eyre’s timeless classics into beautiful modern day romances!

You still have the timeless love and fated match up but it’s done in a unique and beautiful way! The Bennett family has become one of my favorites and I love how each story is intertwined and connected to the fate of the family business! Each story shows us how beautiful and loving this family truly is and I can’t wait to see what happens with each new novel!

Kash’s story is one full of hilarious witty moments and so mush steam I had to fan myself while reading! The pull between him and Lila was mesmerizing and had me hooked from the first accusation thrown! The way Kash calmly handles her and how his adoration grows just had me wanting a Kash of my own! His cool calm demeanor made his so much more than a pretty face! And Lilas strong personality had me falling for her and her amazing resilience! An absolutely amazing story!

I really enjoyed Coming Up Roses, the first book in The Bennet Brothers series. They each can be read as stand-alones, but it’s more fun to read them in order.

Gilded Lily was pretty much just as enjoyable as the first. The heroine is a Type A wedding planner. The hero works at his family’s garden nursery. Sparks just fly when they are around each other. I enjoyed their story. I love that family is a big theme. I can’t wait for the next book.

You know, I’ve loved Staci Hart for quite some time. This series, though, has to be my absolute favorite series that she’s ever written. There’s something about the world, the characters, the stories, the flowers that is just all round enticing and so completely romantic that it breaks my heart and puts it back together again in such a way that I can’t help but be forever changed. Gilded Lily is the sweetest story of losing control and taking a leap into the unknown and having faith that someone will catch you before you fall.

“For the first time in my life, I wished I was something else. Something more.”

Gilded Lily is the second novel in the Bennet Brothers series and follows Kash and Lila with the former being an unflappable gardener and the latter being someone who needs control. However, when Lila seems to lose control of her life, she decides it’s a good idea to take a page out of Kash’s book and see what cutting strings is all about.

I absolutely love Kash and Lila’s dynamic. It almost turns the damsel in distress trope on its head, with Kash feeling less than and Lila being on top of the world. I also love how completely opposite these two are and how their differences bring them together and bring out the best in each other.

“Can we be more? Will you be mine? If I promise you something, will you do the same? If I fall in love with you, could you love me too?”

Gilded Lily is one of the most romantic novels I’ve read this year. I think a lot of that has to do with Staci Hart’s writing and how atmospheric and dreamy it is. There’s almost a whimsical tone to it, like you’re lighter than air. Hart’s prose is absolutely poetic and it only enhances the romantic nature of the story until your heart is practically melting onto the floor with how much love you feel.

“You are a diamond, Lila Parker—brilliantly shining and completely unbreakable.”

Lila is one of my favorite protagonists! She’s a control freak and when her life gets completely destroyed, she can only do what she does best and that’s control the narrative, even if it results in breaking her own heart. I love her so much because we’ve all been there. We’ve all had things, bad things, happen to us and we’ve kept them inside. I am known to keep my feeling close to my chest, so I absolutely relate to Lila. Of course, I fell in love when Kash was able to unravel Lila. It’s so romantic to think that we put up walls, but find that one person who is willing to knock them down or even find a back door and burrow their way in. It’s rare to find that.

“If I asked you for more, would you give it?”
“Lila, I’d give you anything you asked. I think you know that.”

Gilded Lily is inexplicably one of my favorite novels that I’ve read in 2019. Staci Hart continues to blow my mind with how incredible each book she puts out is. I’m, quite literally, never disappointed with any of her works. Gilded Lily is live now, so check it out ASAP!

Love doesn’t care where you come from, only who you are.

Kash Bennet loves working in his family’s greenhouse, Longbourne, and has an eye for design. He doesn’t do serious relationships after having had his heart broken and he refuses to give it away again.

Lila Parker is a high-profile wedding planner who knows how to get the job done. She has a pretty sweet life until everything goes up in smoke. When her boyfriend cheats on her with a client, she realizes a rebound is just what she needs to get over him.

Lila hires Kash to head up the floral arrangements for one of the hottest weddings in town and they immediately butt heads. There is no denying the attraction they feel though, and when Lila starts thinking about a rebound, Kash becomes the prime candidate. However, with chemistry like theirs, can they keep things casual or will their relationship become more?

This book is a wonderful take on the enemies-to-lovers trope and it is so much fun. From the banter to the sexy times, Lila and Kash keep us entertained. They dive into a causal relationship and everything seems perfect. They fight and bicker and get under each other’s skin, and I loved it. The back and forth only intensifies their connection. They challenge each other and give as good at they get.
Somehow it was a comfort, to know that even when I was at my biggest and loudest and most barkey, he could handle it. Handle me.

They are hot and heavy and know how to have a good time. They keep it light until they can’t deny the growing feelings, and when things shift, Kash and Lila have to determine if what they have is worth fighting for or if they were only meant to be a fling.
There was no way to separate myself from the truth—I was in over my head. I was at her mercy. And I couldn’t turn back if I wanted to.

Kash and Lila are intense and passionate. They fit together so well even though they are opposites. We see how different people are on the inside when they finally open up, and I loved watching they learn to trust again and loosen the walls around their hearts.

There is some angst and heartache that Lila and Kash face but I liked that it wasn’t over the top. The emotions are real and I felt what they were going through. Thankfully, it is not dragged on and everything is resolved nicely with a delightful epilogue.

Overall, Gilded Lily is another entertaining story in the Bennet Brothers series and I cannot wait for more. Mum’s The Word, Marcus’ story, is next and it sounds so freaking good!!

Jane Austen always inspires the best in everyone, and this author is proof of that.

Fun and love bloom in perfect unison in Gilded Lily, and the Bennet Brothers have a singular charm of their own to add to the Austen universe.

Lila is the absolute main character, therefore her life choices and evolution take precedence and the romance is subject to those. That and the fact that they are opposites-she is a flawless and ambitious professional and he is a laid back gardener- make for a very slow-burn romance. Until the moment it really burns which is so hot and poetic it will make you levitate.

I found the whole plot beautifully developed and bittersweet and moving. These two opposite characters agree on a temporary relationship while secretly nurturing feelings and a deep sense of connection and belonging. It is just pure romance, like classic unrequited love. So touching.

The family dynamics are humorous and cute, all defending the flower shop and its legacy. Kash may look invisible, but he is like the scaffolding that keeps everything together.

Despite their hidden longings, Lila and Kash behave with tender honesty towards each other. His patience and understanding are to swoon over, and I loved every aspect in Lila's determined personality with its hard and soft points. She is a queen of control, efficiency and poise.

I laughed with the language of flowers, learned some gardening, felt enlightened by all the selfless generosity of a man who seeks the happiness of a woman in the most vulnerable stage in her life. I fell in love with this couple, and fretted over the impending doom.

After all, the differences in status and goals raise a wall that threatens to destroy the beauty of their relationship. Will her old dreams get in the way of her new self? Will his self-doubt undermine the trust that is vital for their feelings to thrive?
So exciting!

The plot surrounding Lila's job as event planner collides with their personal land mines, and the final chapters are fraught with anguish. The Bennet brothers and a very loyal sister are there to support their loved ones, and the happy ending is full of dreamy love and second chances in life. Such a treasure. The writing is gorgeous, fun and insightful.

I feel proud of this book, guys, and I didn't even write it 😄

Gilded Lily is the second book in the Bennett Brothers series. And my oh my I absolutely loved the timeless retelling of Jane Eyre’s classic Pride and Prejudice in which Staci transformed into a beautiful modern day romance.

Kash Bennett is the gardener for his family’s florist shop. He’s laid-back, calm and relaxed. He’s misunderstood and rather than being his true self he does what is expected of him. He’s an all around good guy and such a sweetheart. He would do anything to help out another person—he’s kind and a genuinely good person. Even though he had that minor mishap, he definitely redeemed himself in the end. And goodness did he make me swoon, I adored him so much.

Lila is a wedding planner and she’s most sought after. She’s determined to prove herself to her boss and her clients. She’s well put together and had a no nonsense personality. She’s calm, cooled and collected. She’s just amazing and I liked her character a lot.

Lila and Kash are fire together. Call the fire department and hose me down—scorching hot. The chemistry between these two is incredible. They brought out the best in each other and helped each other see that they deserved to be happy. I fell in love with their love and they definitely made my heart happy.

Gilded Lily is a rom-com at its finest. Filled with adorable, sweet and tender moments. I absolutely love this world and characters Staci’s created. And I too of course love everything about the Longbourne flower shop. I can’t wait to read more of this series and more of the Bennett brothers.

Gilded Lily is the second book in the Bennet Brothers’ series. It’s still a complete standalone. This one is the story of Kash and Lila. We met Kash in Coming Up Roses, and Lila is Ivy’s sister, who was also in the first book. The Bennet Brothers’ series is Staci Hart’s take on Pride and Prejudice with the Bennets being boys and Longbourne being a flower shop in NYC! It brings a whole new unique light to a favorite story of so many.

Kash is the brother that works in the garden mostly at the flower shop. He’s laid back, messy, and a character that you definitely want to hang out with. Lila, on the other hand, seems perfect in every way. She doesn’t mess up, doesn’t show emotions, and she’s always put together. In reality, she’s suspicious, wary and it comes off as snobby and perfect. They are complete opposites in every way, yet they bring out the absolute best in each other. Lila is a wedding planner, and her clients were the worst, yet their hijinks were hilarious. The Felix sisters, in general, were awful, but still entertaining. Kash became her protector, giving her a respite from her exhausting life.

The character development in here with both the main and secondary characters was so well done; It’s hard to even think that they aren’t real people. The writing, pace and storyline was fun and kept me entertained throughout. This is another great book in this series, and I eagerly look forward to Marcus’ book next!

Gilded Lily is the second book in the Bennet Brothers series and the moment I started this I immediately remembered why I love this family. It can be read as a complete standalone, however, I would HIGHLY suggest that you read Coming Up Roses because it is an amazing story.

Kash Bennet is the oldest sibling and the one in charge of running the greenhouse. Lila Parker is a wedding planner and Ivy’s (she works at the Florist shop) older sister. Lila is fresh off a break up and looking for a rebound. Kash is the best distraction possible. However, things change between them, rules are broken. Will they confess their true feelings?

I absolutely LOVED the first book, but this one completely blew it out of the greenhouse for me. I loved Kash’s laid back attitude and Lila’s hardworking personality. They were complete opposites of each other but so incredibly perfect for one another. Their chemistry is there from the start, despite the fact they have the enemies vibe.

Gilded Lily will have you laughing (I was dying over all the gardening puns!), smiling and just feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. This is a MUST READ and one of my favorites for 2019!
