About the author

L.M. Archer

8 books37 followers
L.M. Archer was first drawn to writing as a way to express my feelings when oftentimes, she found that she couldn’t say them out loud. That’s why her writing is more on the dark side of the romance spectrum. She tends to write in a way that showcases real scenarios and events. Her books tackle mental health, moral values, religion and many other topics that are raw and real.

Archer is not afraid to make her readers look at the darker side of humanity and question the very foundation of life and existence. The topics in her books can be triggering, but she is a firm believer that you need to shed light on certain situations. Keeping them in the dark only hurts more.

firstly I seriously do have to thank you l.M archer for allowing me to read all of your books in this series. I have loved every second of this journey with you, Luca and Harlan.

gentleness in sim is the final book in the take me church series and this is one hell of finale.

when step back into Luka and Harlan‘s lives we are straight back into the thick of things.

Luka is struggling with getting back to a normal life after camp and also his feelings on pretty much everything. He has separated himself from his friends and family and the only thing he feels he knows is what was drilled into him at camp.

Harlan, I literally love this boy. He is soo patient and caring. he has been through soo much but yet is still not willing to give up on getting his Luka back. he takes everything that Luka offers even if it is an insult. He huves Luka his space and continues to be there for everyone including Luka. This boy is incredible.

this book seriously pulls out every single emotion possible. one Minute you are screaming at the book and the next you are crying your eyes out. Trust me when I say this book is soo powerful especially that church scene. You go from being completely gob smacked and fuming to feeling seriously hot under the collar. Wow!!

for me it helps look at things in a way never knew existed but it also gives you different pints of view from each subject that comes up so that you get another look at how it can be conceived.

I was soo soo sad to see this book end but I am forever grateful to have been Given the chance to read each book in this series. L.M.Archer you should extremely proud of yourself as you make the reader look at life in a whole new way.

this book is a learning journey for those who have are Not religious or are a part of the lgbtq community because without this series I would never have known what some people actually go through. Not only that but it makes you look at religion in a whole new light and how some people perceive the writings within the bible.

thank you so much Lena I loved this book even if you did break my heart a few times only to make me cry and be ecstatic when it all came back together.

Gentleness in Sin, the final installment of the Take Me to Church series, is a beautiful culmination to a story self-exploration, love, trauma, and healing. It has made me cry, swear, laugh, and think. Coming to the end of the series feels like saying goodbye to friends that I have seen grow up. On top of being very relatable to me personally, this story is universally one of acceptance, support, and loving your true self. Gentleness in Sin went beyond my expectations and had me hooked to the last page. The rollercoaster of emotions is very worth it in the end.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

absolutely in love with this entire series but this last book you can physically feel the weight lifted off of the characters shoulders. this was such a beautiful, heartbreaking story but i loved it so much. i’m so glad that there are books and series out there like this. the first time i read this series it helped me more than i can even explain. i was luka and this series just opened my eyes to so much more in the world other than just the indoctrination by the christian church. i cannot praise this series enough and i recommend it to everyone i talk to. love love love.

As the last installment of the Take Me To Church series Gentleness in Sin is beautifully written. It shows the journey of healing, forgiveness, acceptance, and change. This series is amazing and I couldn’t put it down! Archer is an amazing author and I can’t wait to read more of her books! Trauma is real, raw, and a rough thing to deal with but Archer does very well at showing how it’s different for everybody and the process of healing is long and hard. This series covers real life dealings with the LGBTQ+ community and is a fantastic read!

I was lucky enough to get an arc of this book and, let me tell you, it delivered. I’ve read all 3 previous books in the Take Me To Church series and I was very curious to know how the author would end the saga and she gave me everything I wanted and some things I didn’t know I needed. My heart broke then was put back together again in the most beautiful way. I laughed, I cried and I adored the way it all came together

It is with great pleasure that I find myself in the wonderful position of writing the first review for this epic finale.

Having read all four books, I found Gentleness in Sin to be a beautiful climax to an at-point heart-breaking adventure. L.M.Arhcer has outdone themselves with making a well-paced page turn that is at times incredibly hard to put down, the suspense is out of this world as we navigate our way through the lingering side effects of Luka's unwilling time a Camp.

Will Harlan manage to snap Luka out of it or will all hope be lost?

only time will tell.

fantastic

This book is the prefect culmination of the story of Harlan and Luca. A perfect description of the aftermath of what happened to Luca and how he struggles with his new reality, or is it? Trust me once you pick this up you won’t be able to put it down till the very end. You’ll cry, you’ll laugh, it’s an emotional rollercoaster but so worth it. Why are you still reading this review, pick up the book now!
