Ayakashi Triangle is a really high quality josei manga about an ayakashi ninja exorcist (newbie)… and his ayakashi medium best friend. Acting as not only friend but also a magnet to the ayakashi, Kanade Suzu, ayakashi medium, has led an unusual life throughout all her years. Kazamaki Matsuri, her friend, peer, and neighbor, hails from a long line of ayakashi ninja exorcists. After he came of age to begin his training, he learned that befriending the ayakashi can pose risks to humans, most especially of all to Suzu.
Having grown apart as years go by on the heels of the sunrise to his ninja exorcist training, Matsuri has become isolated from all besides Suzu and his family. Meanwhile, while he’s been driving a wedge between ayakashi and Suzu while growing distant himself, Suzu has steadily become a normal girl at their school. But just like any normal girl would, she’s begun to develop feelings for someone very near and dear to her heart… but nothing seems to close the distance. At least, not until a powerful ayakashi casts a gender swap jutsu on Matsuri while he’s protecting Suzu! Just what is a girl to do?

"Anything for post-worthy content."

Matsuri and Suzu have been since they were kids. Over the years Matsuri started to protect Suzu from the ayakashi that always seem to flock to her. Suzu doesn't seem to know why Matsuri does it but she knows that his intentions are good. Their usual routine is upended when they run into the king of ayakashi, Shirogane.

This one didn't grab me as much as I had hoped. Don't get me wrong, there are several pros to this volume. The art is great, the author gives you a lot of information and world building without making it feel too dense, and Shirogane is hilarious; honestly, he's what kept me going for the most part. I appreciated the fast pace however the characters have particular characteristics that don't usually draw me in. All in all, this was a great introduction to a series and the author established the foundation for what could be a great story while giving you a few laughs along the way. I'll be interested to see where it goes if our paths cross again.

Its a good start to this new series, focusing on a guy named Matsuri Kazamaki who is a ninja exorcist and so he fights these beings known as "Ayakashi" and he is trying to save his friend Suzu whose an "Ayakashi Maiden" so that makes her an easy target and this Ayakashi is a cat named Shirogane also king of Ayakashi's and its an ancient powerful being so he has to trap him in some scroll but can only do so of some of his powers but gets transformed into a girl instead. Now he has to deal with being a girl, and help Suzu in school while dealing with other Ayakashi's and Shirogane's mischiefs and attempts to take back the scroll and Suzu trying to befriend the cat. He also makes new friends Yayo and Lu and its hot, the girls are drawn super hot and there is decent action and the concept of Ayakashi are interesting and there is an interesting rival in Soga Ninokuru. And then some romance happens between Suzu and the transformed Matsuri. Its a decent volume and has some hot moments, sets quite some mysteries and has so much potential plus the art is just phenomenal!

DNF - just every possible excuse for an underwear-shot or exposed breasts. The male protagonist gets turned into a girl which means he gets to feel up his own bare boobs AND we get double the underwear-shots -_- and the female protagonist, whose demon-attracting condition of excessive life-force is shown as a honey-like goo coming off her (oh look, more thirst-trap -_-), is determined to get him changed back because she's secretly got the hots for him. The ayakashi king in cat form wants to keep them separated because, out of spite, he doesn't want them to get a chance to rut. So the entire plot centers around horniness.
That's a big, bored, mildly grossed-out 'NOPE' from me.

3.5/5 A fun shonen with extra ecchi. Yup those are my go to. Matsuri is a ninja exorcist who protects his childhood friend Suzu from Ayakashi. Suzu is a medium who is sought after by the Ayakashi because of her spiritual energy. Attacked by the Cat King Shirogane Matsuri manages to seal him in the body of a cat but not before Shirogane gender swapped Matsuri into a female.

The art and ladies are all gorgeous and the actions fun. The story itself is a bit shallow but I’m still having a good time.

Matsuri, Suzu, & Shirogane on the cover of volume 1.

Great new story from To Love Ru artist. This is a gender bending story, I am liking the concept as it seems the author has really developed this thought. Lots of action scenes which is nice to see frog this artist. Definitely for fanservice fans who love a little nip here and there. This has uncensored scenes, however not that prevalent but it still is there and very tasteful.

Definitely continuing this series!!

In this sexy comedy, Matsuri is a young exorcist who dispatches evil spirits using his ninja moves. When his lovely childhood friend, Suzu, is attacked by a mischievous cat spirit, Matsuri experiences an unwanted gender swap curse and is transformed into a beautiful young female ninja. This hilarious series explores both the spirit world and how the gender change impacts both Matsuri and Suzu.

Feels kind of like Ranma 1/2 X Yokai watch. This is a little too perverted for me to continue with; there's a lot of fan service to say the least. The characters are lively, and the demons (Ayakashi) creatively designed.

Read weekly english simulpub on Viz website. Can't say I'd recommend this series, but I'll probably keep reading weekly just because it's free and easy to access.

It's a bit heavy on the fan service but it has some good action shots as well. The story progresses well and builds the world and characters at a good pace.

2.5 stars. I’m going to let this one marinate before deciding if I want to continue with the series. Right now is a soft no tho

If you’re going off this review, the series gets better past the first book.
I love a good gender bend / cross dressing manga so I fairly liked this book. You get a lot of fan service, yes.

Art work was great and the storyline, although odd, was really good. Not for the average reader.
