“I have a task for you … If you prove yourself worthy, I will give you your own army.” This is the promised made to Ember by a mysterious orange cat who shows up in the middle of the night. The task? To watch over her kittens and “teach them all you know.” Ember is on board immediately, not understanding just how difficult taking care of a bunch of kittens can be. Luckily, he has his normal crew to lend him a paw, but he also has an agent working against him: Ogre, the cat from next door.

My students love this series. It’s a lot of fun.
