****3.5****
Let’s pretend I didn’t read this series out of order but it also turns out you don’t necessarily need to read this particular series in order but from now on I am going to try to. Honestly I don’t think you have to give a shit about fnaf to enjoy this particular series, it kinda has a similar vibe to the twilight zone where they just tell a fucked up spooky story.
I’m giving this a 3.5 rather than a 3 because the last story was so fascinating especially the way it ended and I hope they talk about it again.

Honestly kinda sad that "Count the ways" got passed over for a graphic adaptation as it's my favorite one in the first collection. Same with "Lonely Freddy" in this volume. I guess they're more introspective and dialogue heavy than the other stories so maybe they wouldn't translate quite right to graphic, but man those stories were good.
These graphics do feel more juvenile to me than the original novellas, which is probably due to the incredibly middle-grades art style throughout the stories. It was still an entertaining read though.
If I was the kid in "Fetch" I feel I simply would have not been stupid and it wouldn't have been a problem.

Нашою останньою історією є "The New Kid".

Part of the reason why I didn’t enjoy this one as much is because in the real books these aren’t the strongest stories, also the one about Stanley is terrifying with too much body horror for me, and the last one is about an incel, also Justice for Fetch

You'd think that the makers of these graphic novels would have worked out the kinks that were obviously present in the first volume, but no. They're here and as blatant as ever. These comic adaptations aren't horrible, but they're definitely not at a level that I'd expect from a published graphic novel from Scholastic. I could accept wonky arms, fused fingers, irregular shading, and bad framing from a free webcomic, but not from a book that, had I not borrowed it from my local library, I would have had to pay $14.99 for. They also don't adapt written prose into comics well at all; I had to depend on my previous knowledge of the stories to know what the hell was happening at some parts, and why some characters were acting/feeling the way they were. There AREN'T good graphic novels.

It's also clear that however they get these graphic novel adaptations made, there is little to no communication between the different steps of the process. There are moments where, despite the narrative or dialogue clearly stating something (a detailed breakfast order in "Room For One More", a red pickup truck in "The New Kid"), the illustrations don't follow those details (a totally different breakfast being made, a grey/blue pickup truck).

To make matters worse, the description on the back cover is inaccurate! Instead of listing a sentence describing "Fetch", it describes the story "Out of Stock" for the last book. I'm not going to act like I expect brilliance from the book series of Five Nights at Freddy's, but as the franchise's games and even the multiple prose book series have constantly proved, details MATTER. The franchise depends on these details, and the fans expect any noticeable deviation or line out of place to be indicative of a clue towards some aspect of the lore. Books like these almost feel insulting because of their lack of attention to even basic story details. They're clearly just an attempt to wring more money out of fans, not to make an enjoyable adaptation of a story.

A boy wants a dog, and he gets one...and so much more than he could have possibly ever bargained for. An exhausted frustrated lonely security guard finds himself a bit more full of friends than he would have wanted. A lonely abandoned teenager makes a horrific mistake that costs him everything.

Another day, another graphic novel from the world of Five Nights at Freddy's. And once again, I love it more than I have any right to love books from this admittedly chaotic supernatural-sci-fi conglomeration. But once again, I have to honestly admit that I am a huge fan of FNAF and almost all these books. I've read these stories before in their original iterations, but seeing them drawn and laid out this way is an entirely new experience and really draws you in.

The art style is genuinely beautiful and works with the stories, which also gives me a major sense of the creeps. My mind created plenty of images when I read them the first time, but these seriously well done drawings complete the mental horrors. If you're a fan of the FNAF franchise/fandom, I'd suggest picking this series up and giving it a chance.

The book follows the life of three people: Greg, Stanley and Devon.
Greg loves AI, so when he finds a robot dog which could sync with his phone and fetch things, he decides to experiment. Soon, his experiments start going out of his control.
Stanley is appointed as a watch guard at a shady place where the employer instructs him not to let anything get out. Soon, on his ver first shift, he sees a doll who likes him. When he wakes up after dozing off, the doll disappears but his arm starts to ache. This continues for the next three shifts.
Devon is a young boy who is creative at creating horror stories. When a new kid, Kelsey arrives and fits in easily with everyone, Devon feels a pang of jealousy. He decides to startle Kelsey by taking him to an abandoned place he found but everything doesn't to his plan.

The stories were good and nicely illustrated. The illustrations bring out the jump scares intended better than in the original book.

Rating: pg for violence, death, fear. No profanity,
Recommend : jh and up- characters are children

It’s a graphic novel, so it’s not totally horrifying, a little scooby-doo “meddling kids” but there are definitely dark twists and turns, some gore and death.

Ultimately, the problem may be more with me than with the story itself: horror is absolutely not my genre. Fear is present enough with me without adding to to through my reading and imagination. I’m giving 3 stars to the work as it stands, not as my preferred genre. This volume would likely be fine, but further titles get progressively dark, too violent / horror / mature for our library.

Fantastic! One of the best graphic novels I have ever read. If you love horror and gore, this graphic novel is 100% for you!

I mean, the way that it builds it up, and then bam, it ends. Almost like a cliff hanger, where it doesn't tell you what happened to the main character, but you have a clear estimate of what actually happened.

And in the third short story, where Kelsey seems like a really kind kid, and quite smart too. And then, plot twist! At the end he's the one who pretty much murders Devon. But like I said it doesn't tell you that, however it's pretty clear that's what happened

But anyway, 5 stars. Would definitely recommend!!

DEFINITELY enjoyed this soooo much more than Vol. 1. Holy crap the stakes were so much higher, I'm impressed. I definitely need to read the novels after making my way through all the graphic novels.
The only reason this wasn't 5 stars was because the last story confused me a bit at the end... WHAT EVEN HAPPENED?!?!?! I don't know, someone please explain!
I like to rate the short-stories in order of favorites but this one was HARD man.... but here we go before I double-guess myself.
1) The New Kid
2) Fetch
3) Room For One More

Five Nights at Freddy's: Fazbear Frights 2 was a good book! but it had some faults. The stories were not that great in my opinion, they felt kind of bland and didn't have a good foundation to them something just felt missing the whole time. Another thing was the start of the book was such an odd jump, it made no sense, and I personally didn't enjoy it. Besides that, this FNaF book didn't reach my expectations sadly, I only recommend you read this book so after you can move on to Five Nights at Freddy's: Fazbear Frights 3 which is an amazing book. I give it a 2/5

This was so bad!! The story doesnt really make sense and is all over the place. The teens talk how boomers think teens talk now and dont even get me started on the drawing. The first two stories are drawn so badly, it looks like it was made by someone whos never learnt the basics of drawing like physics, faces and depth. If i didnt know id think that some of the pages were made by AI, because theres just so many begginer mistakes. The last story was atleast drawn okay, but the story was also very bad.

*I’ve been reading a lot more than I’ve been reviewing… so knee-jerk reaction time!*

Spoopy but also surprisingly gruesome. The stories don’t always make sense—but that’s kind of par for the course with this franchise. It’s more about the what-if of a scary idea and just giving yourself over to it. And yes, this book does just that. I think kid or tween Sarah would have been genuinely terrified of this book (though to be fair, I did scare easy… and still kinda do, lol).

Fun Read

Five Nights at Freddy’s Fazbear Frights Graphic Novel Collection 2 was a fun read from the FNAF Universe. The artwork is really well done. As for the stories they were all good although I found The New Kid not as great as the other stories. All in all I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys FNAF

My thoughts on each short story:

Fetch: Toy that texts you and does your bidding but in a creepy ass way. This one was spooky. A be careful what you ask for situation. What torment that teen went through!

Room for One More: Lowkey just fills crawling into your body to inhabit your flesh 🤢 Omg so fucked up! And the illustration of them pushing on his skin from the inside 🤢 and all that dude did was sleep. Broooooo.

The New Kid: Incel jealous of new kid so accidentally traps him in a suit, but then gets attacked himself? I’m sorry, what was that last page?? How did that happen?

This was terrifyingly great! The second story was especially good given the lore I am already familiar with in terms of the FNAF world as it is. It just was well written throughout! I enjoyed reading this and I cannot wait to read the others. Scott really has outdone himself with these!

Fetch: ★★★☆☆ (2.75)
Room for One More: ★★★☆☆ (2.75)
The New Kid: ★★☆☆☆ (1.75)

Rushed characters, poor art style, and a story that didn't make sense is the story of this book. Honestly was hoping that they would have been more enthusiastic with the art style for such a crazy selection of stories....but this wasn't it.

The first two short stories were a lot more enjoyable to me than the last one. Though if you aren’t comfortable with a dog being killed then I wouldn’t recommend the first story. I will say they don’t show the dog in any graphic way.
