Twenty-year-old Michael is visited by time-traveller Audrey, who has information that can improve his life.
In this time-travel dilemma, relationship influences are the centre of Audrey’s conflict: what things in life should be left to fate? And if altered, could she destroy everything?
Michael must make drastic changes in his career path, move country, take financial risks and push himself out of his comfort zones. As he struggles to make the changes, he falls in unrequited love with his guardian angel — the perfect woman who returns from the future once a year to offer him friendship and guidance.
But information comes at a price. Michael becomes aware of the deadly way Audrey was pushed back in time. Does knowing the future mean fate can be changed? Does he love her enough to sacrifice the history created with Audrey in the time-travel loop? Will he risk the career he has built for his family’s financial security? Can he save Audrey’s life by preventing the event that caused her time-travel? Can he return her safely to her own time... to the arms of her waiting husband?Could tampering with destiny lead to something else? What are the rules? What are the possibilities?
What would you risk to save the woman you loved, if the stakes were literally everything?
I was so excited to read this book that I put aside another to read this one. I fell into it immediately and couldn't wait have time to read more. The last few pages were, I felt, a bit of a let down and a bit confusing as endings go.
A Time for Everything is a time travel romance filled with suspense, questions, assumptions, and twists and turns.
It was an intriguing book but at times I was a bit disconcerted by the actions of the main characters. And the physics aspect of the story kind of went over my head.
But the book kept me very engaged, I enjoyed it. I will say that if the story ended without that epilogue, I probably would have thrown my kindle across the room. I know the author had always intended for a second story, but that ending would have left me livid. Overall, I liked this story and felt the storyline was very interesting...it made me ponder what I would do if I was sent back to my past.
The plot was a great idea, however, I felt there were missed opportunities; the author played it too safe. I was expecting that wonderful twist—things were not to happen as predicted, but that was not the case. If she had dared to take chances, it would have been an easy 5-stars.
I really liked the book, but like others - I was so confused by the ending. Are they together or not?? This question needs to be answered - maybe in the second book? I just downloaded the next book so maybe it will all make more sense. When I read a book I like to walk away feeling good or feeling positive - while I did like the book, I didn't walk away feeling good.
