Happily divorced with two kids and a growing business, Nina Harris Fuller has everything she worked so hard for. The only thing missing is the man of her dreams by her side. After enduring a devastating heartbreak, Nina focuses on what she has instead of searching for a love that she may never find.
Victor Ellis knows heartbreak all too well and became the friend Nina needed. As the manager at one of her restaurants, he's grown to love her from a distance. Finding a way into Nina's heart is not easy, but Victor's ready to step up and be the man she needs.
Renée is from the best city on the planet--Houston. She resides there with her three kids. She writes fiction based on African American characters. Renée loves creating stories with relationship drama that can easily be found in many households. She wants readers to see themselves or recognize someone they know in her characters. If she can make you laugh, gasp, think, or even cry, then her mission will be accomplished.
Omg, this was so refreshing. Loved every second. Victor wanted Nina and this man patiently waited for her. Nina was divorced and a single mother who was working on rebuilding her life with her babies and her company. But deep down, she has it bad for Victor. But she has a thorn in her side...Mekhi. I'm sorry, but what in the hełl is wrong with that man? His behavior was highly comical. How can a person be this delusional? He was like a dog with a bone who just wouldn’t quit. But, I loved the book. This is the 5th installment in the series and I read it first. So it kinda felt like I missed some stuff with the other siblings and some banter and jokes. So definitely going back to the other stories. Second book by this author and I love her style.
Victor&Nina💕 (Glad I copied my review cause Amazon on that bs, again🙄)
Queen Reneé this was the perfect ending to such a drama filled, lying, cheating, bitter exes, mixed with a whole lot of laughter, hot nasty sex and love series🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Whew Chil that dang Mekhi irked every nerve in my dang body. He mad it so easy to hate his a** cause he just got worst and worst with each installment to this series. He made life for his babies so much harder with his bitter ways. I mean if bitter baby daddy was a person😂😂😂. He moved on and stated dating several different women without a care or thought for how it would effect his children but, the moment Nina a** FINALLY decided to give love a shot again she's selfish, and wrong for bringing "randoms" around🙄🤔. That motherfudgesicklestix was a selfish, controlling, narcissistic grade A a**hole and I thank God she divorced his a**. The way he threw his weight around like he was running ish😔, Victor chin checked him real quick and that really check Nina gave him when he tried to make her choose between him and Vic😳😂😂😂😂. Karma got that a** and I have no sympathy. I love, love, love getting an update on the other couples and their mom's. Victor was definitely the perfect man for Nina. Although he wanted her from jump, he respected her marriage and accepted his role as her friend. The moment she finally decided she'd give love a try, he didn't disappoint. The way this man loved on Nina and her babies, being everything they needed and more. Now Nina irked my motherfudgesicklestix nerves allowing Mekhi mitch a** to continue manipulating her into putting her love life on hold cause he couldn't handle her moving on. Bay-be when she finally realized that that mitch wasn't changing regardless of her relationship statues I was like yaaasss sis let him have it😂. That ending was the perfect way to and this series💕🔥
I could not be more ecstatic for Nina! She is my homegirl who experienced such a tragedy in her previous relationship. When I tell you she came thru like a champ! And held her business and family together while having her life turned upside down, so proud of her. I can't forget those lil critters of hers. Both of them are so loving and caring. They really look out for their mama 😘
I love where she is today. How she has upped her confidence in her career and in herself. Nina is "doing the dog-on thang". This is why it's always good to have "Someone" in your corner to support you when you're going thru to help keep you encouraged. And that "Someone" is the most caring, supportive, loving mentor a women can ask for. Love this family
The follow-up story gave me a reasonable conclusion to this couple's complex relationship. Mekhi showed us who he really was, and it wasn't a good look. Nina was ready to move on, and although she allowed Mekhi more leeway than he deserved, things happened for the best for them in the end. Victor was the Victory... Yeah!
This sister went through hell and now that she is free from her ex, she finally has space and opportunity to just be - a boss, a mother, sister, friend and DATE - happy! But Mekhi her ex doesn’t know how to let her go - he’s a hater, delusional, selfish, and plays the victim - so he’s always with the drama. There’s a man who’s been patiently waiting on her and he won’t fumble her heart. Victor is God sent for her!
This book showed the difficult position mothers are placed in while trying to protect their children. She sacrificed so much and put up with too much from their father. Get your blessing girl!
Yessssssssss I've been waiting for Nina's HEA since book two "I Thought I Knew You". I'm so happy Victor was the one to give Nina what she truly deserves true love and support. Mekhi Nina's ex husband did what I expect which was to show his a$$ but what you can't do is stop the blessing of someone especially when you were the one to break them.
I loved seeing the progression of this Harris sister they all have come into their own since book one. I hate to see this series but I enjoyed every bit of this journey.
Lawdamercy, Nina!! That woman needs a gold medal for the sacrifices she made and all the bs she put up with in making sure her kids had a healthy relationship with their father. Her ex, Mekhi was so far out of order, out of pocket, just straight up out of his darn mind! He had a lot of nerve carrying on the way he did after he's the one who destroyed their marriage! Everytime he popped up, he acted so stupid, I wanted to pop him in his mouth! Please sign Nina up for sainthood because whew, baby, she deserves all prizes for not jumping on Mekhi and knocking him upside his hard head!😂
But lo and behold Mr. Victor Ellis! That man had a lot of patience! He waited for his soul mate to be ready to receive his love and was dedicated to providing unlimited friendship and support however long Nina needed him. At one point, I wanted to smack Nina for allowing Mekhi to dictate how things were gonna go and almost walked away forever from the best thing to ever happen to her. However, I understood her need as a hardworking and devoted mother to secure her kids' happiness and protect their mental health. Mekhi was so wrong for even putting her in that position. Yet Victor continued to offer his time and support. Mekhi could never!😤 (Ole selfish, petty, immature, stubborn, hard-headed jack @$$!)
Anyway, I loved Victor and Nina together! I loved how their humor played off of each other. I found myself grinning through their conversations because they were just too comical and too cute! And how adorable were Nina's kids pulling Victor aside and letting him know how they love seeing how happy he makes their mom! Awwww!
As for the rest of the story, I laughed so hard, it was crazy! The mamas, sisters, friends, all the side characters are hilarious! Not gonna lie, the epilogue really had me laughing til I had tears in my eyes! Nina calling Lyric "TG" was the icing on the cake! What a great story!
This is my first book by this author, and she has a new fan! Now I need to go back and hit up the other books before this one in the series! Thank you for an amazing story!
The way this book began…we got action. The way it ended…I was laughing and smiling. I wanted Victor to be with Nina so bad from previous books in the series. His love is so pure. She is so deserving. Mekhi was pissing me off tough. I love their extended families and their connections and commitment to one another. When one win , they all win. I feel like a proud friend watching my best friends win. Awesome book by an awesome author.
