This story starts out a bit tragically as Skyler is attacked by Kyotes and Alaster has no choice but to turn her into a werewolf…a death sentence for Skyler, it is forbidden for a Lycan to turn anyone.

Their names are Skyler/Sky/Sun his name is Alaster/Gacy, why I bring it to your attention is that while her name is Skyler and it does get shortened to Sky on occasion he normally calls her Sun and while his name is Alaster, Sun usually refers to him as Gacy. The author has a tendency to interchange these names fairly frequently sometimes in the same paragraph.

For the beginning of the book, it’s just Sun and Gacy as he helps her try to get the wolf and woman to bond. He hopes maybe getting her to control her animal she maybe be able to stave off the death sentence she’s under now if anyone learns of her existence. As we all know that is not going to be a secret for long.

The transitions for me come across as rough when we just go from Gacy and Sun which has its own rhythm of push and pull and
steamy bits, then bam we are hit with other factions that have a lot of moving parts and names to keep track off. Then we head back to Gacy and Sun mellowish, then another rough transition to the other side.

Once we are mostly on what I am calling the other side it’s none stop new person and new problems…where most of it boils down to wanting to end the life of someone’s mate to keep a prophecy at bay. Like killing off another person’s mate has ever stopped a war?!?

Plus, Alaster is actually a guy with a lot of power and pull, so while what he did with Skyler was wrong there are ways that it could work in their favor, if we can get the other factions to stop trying to kill each other and them in the process

Alaster has been alone for a millennia waiting for his mate so it’s understandable why he may not have thought it all the way through when he turned Skyler.

As with a lot of the female characters this author writes there is running and avoidance almost at times to the point of being a bit petty.

A big NO, for me is the male who has been professing that she’s the ONE then when she got tired of his high-handed ways and said she wanted to end it he goes and dips his quill in someone else’s inkpot? A big ICK for me and does not endear that character to me. If she’s the one then figure out how to woo her and get her back don’t go drilling down on some other piece. This is not a harem this is one male to one female mate scenario.

I would have like to learned a bit more about the other characters, they all came in ready for battle and as such wasn’t able to connect with any of them.

I liked that Sklyer owned her plus size measurements, so we didn’t have to deal with the self-esteem issues. When it was just the two of them, I enjoyed the story more.

There is a lot of potential here, smooth out the transitions, give us more information of the new people that have been introduced, give us something to connect with emotionally for us to care if someone lives or dies.

This Book 4 in The Dark Immortal Flames Book Series and will have you hooked right from the start. Once again we have endearing characters and an engaging story line. Alaster( Les or Gacy ) makes an unusual God type character and changing his fated human mate ( Skyler or Sun ) into a werewolf. It is an error that he doesn't regret. There are many misunderstandings, twists, turns and danger. I really enjoyed this view on Lycans and werewolves and I liked the description of Les as an older Jason Mamoa. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves werewolves, lycans, dark and paranormal romance. Read it, Love it. You wil not be disappointed.

I enjoyed this story, and what I liked is it was so varied and unpredictable. It's a fated mate story and the tensions that occur in it. When Alaster does the undesirable to save his true one from death and turn her into a werewolf, things get really exciting. The storyline and build-up are perfectly done and so are the characters and their characters. Everything connected and flowed into each other nicely, keeping your attention glued to your book from start to finish. I can tell you how it ends or continues, but I advise you to find out for yourself by reading this book, it is highly recommended!

I am a big fan of the paranormal and this is one such story with Lycans. To save Skylar, Alastar uses his supernatural powers knowing she is his mate. The story deals with her coping with Alastar and her new life changes while danger is close by and more attempts are made on her life. There are many ups and downs in their relationship and they almost don’t make it. There is a lot more going on in this story which makes for a great read. I would highly recommend this book.

What a brilliant story which I totally recommend to all readers who enjoy characters that are so unpredictable. Alaster makes an unusual God type character and changing his fated human mate into a werewolf is an error that he doesn't regret. Following these two people overcome their differences and mistakes that many make, makes this book so interesting and riveting.
