Oh how I adore this author’s humor & the way she incorporates it so perfectly into her stories. I fell in love with precocious twin brothers Benji & Alfie in Andrew and they quickly became my favorite of her characters… well, next to Felty & Anna Helmuth and Bitsy Weaver. Anyway, the youngest Petersheim brothers are once again up to their misguided (not to mention hilarious and infinitely endearing) matchmaking efforts, and readers won’t be able to read this one without a huge grin on their faces.
(I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book in a novella collection which I purchased for myself.)
If you’re looking for a Christmas story that blends humor, heart, and a touch of mischief, look no further than A Peanut Butter Christmas by Jennifer Beckstrand. This delightful novella, part of the Amish Christmas Miracles collection, brings back the lovable troublemakers Alfie and Benji Petersheim in a holiday adventure that’s as sweet as it is entertaining.
What I love about this story is how it captures the essence of Christmas, hope, forgiveness, and the joy of bringing people together. Mary and Jerry’s journey toward reconciliation is touching, and the twins’ unwavering belief in the magic of the season adds a layer of charm to the narrative.
Beckstrand’s writing is warm and engaging, with a perfect balance of humor and heartfelt moments. The setting of Amish country provides a picturesque backdrop for this festive tale, making it the ideal read for cozying up by the fire with a cup of hot cocoa.
In conclusion, A Peanut Butter Christmas is a delightful addition to the Amish Christmas genre. It’s a story that will make you smile, laugh, and perhaps even shed a tear or two. Highly recommend for fans of sweet, romantic holiday tales with a touch of mischief.

This was a fun read. I was a little annoyed with Mary to begin with. As A Peanut Butter Christmas progressed and the twins worked their magic, I got over my annoyance. The twins are very entertaining. This was a very enjoyable read. I look forward to more books in this series.
Cute little story. Typical boys will be boys. Nice to see the couple, Mary and Jesse, coming to terms with a hurtful past and their reconciliation. OH, the peanut butter, YES. Received for joining with the author.
I love this author's voice. The book was a 5 chapter "tween" story in the Peanut Butter Brothers series. Such fun. Enjoyed the closure on one who "jumped the fence" and the woman he left behind. Thoroughly sweet and satisfying.
A cute Christmas quick read. Mary is unhappy since her biyfriend, Jerry has left the community. Slide and his twin brother Benji, have been told there is no Santa but Alfie isn't so sure. They overheat that it will take a miracle to make Mary happy again. And so it begins!
A cute Christmas story set in an Amish community. A fun book to read. I loved it! Perfect book to read when you need a break from stories that are serious. This story will make you laugh.
