Putting out fires is more than just a job, it's my passion in life. There’s no time for anything else but the job...until I meet her. And now I’m on fire for her, only there's no hose big enough to extinguish these flames.

She’s too hot to handle, and I’m about to get burned.

Saving lives is what I do. As a career paramedic married to the job, I’ve never thought much about my love life—or my lack of one, if I’m being honest—until it's his life I'm worried about saving. Now I’ve got a scorching hot firefighter burning up my life and setting my body on fire. No matter how hot he is or how hot things are between us, however, there’s one rule in my life which I refuse to break: Never date a fireman.

This book was 🔥🔥

Hot firefighter meets sassy paramedic. Jake and Jovie have so much chemistry from the moment they meet. She tries to hate him because of something that happened in her past and he does his best to win her over.

If you’re looking for spice this book is for you. Jasinda you did it again with another amazing book! I am a sucker for a good epilogue and the way this one is written is the best I’ve ever read.

Thank you Jasinda, Social Butterfly PR and Novel Grounds for an ARC for an honest review. ♥️

now we are talking. i've been a fan of JW's writing forever. i love her series ...but i know i need to let those go ...but it is hard not to look at her other books and think on them with fondest. Badd series, did you read it yet? if not please check them out. any who ... this book this will give you all the feels in my humble opinion of those men ...in that these 2 characters have such bones ...meaning they have such character ..and couldn't decide who i did love more ...but i wanna know more of each of these characters ...the not main ones that is. we need more i am so trying not 2 give any tidbits because u gotta read this one for sure. i am so happy that JW and her peeps allowed me to read this one. i am so happy and feel so lucky to have the chance. love the cover. love the ads. love the ending. times in this book are sad, in that you feel for their backstories, how they are where they are in this present time of the book, the juice so to speak, i think it is hard to come from you past and not allow it to weigh u down and keep you from living ...but there are plenty of happy sexy moments 2.

Every time I see a Jasinda book pop up on my tablet I get excited because I know that I'm going to be in for a great read. This was Jake and Jovie's story. Jovie (paramedic) had made a rule to never get involved with a firefighter but maybe Jake can convince Jovie that maybe falling for a firefighter isn't so bad, or will she stay away because she is afraid of getting burned?
This is a rom-com that you don't want to miss.

Amazon / Amazon Worldwide / Applebooks / Nook / Kobo / Google Play

Jovie is far less than impressed when a wall of muscles tries to help her with a patient strapped into her ambulance. When that same firefighter tries to get her to go out with him, let's just say she's not receptive to his pursuit of her. She has one vow, to never get involved with a firefighter, and she's not about to break that vow, even for a gorgeous charmer like Jake. But can she really resist him for long when he turns up the heat?

Whew, talk about needing a firefighter to put out the fire!! The chemistry between these two was incendiary. I loved how hard she resisted him, how hard he worked to convince her they were worth fighting for, worth taking the leap, and I loved how ultimately sweet it was when she gave in and finally admitted what we all already knew.

Will we find each other in the flames of this romance, or will we simply add another scar to the collection?

This is the story of Jake and Jovie. These two have so much chemistry that they are on fire. Jovie is a paramedic and she has a rule to never date a fire fighter. Some things in her past made her make this rule. Jake is a firefighter and really loves his job and the two of them live a very low key life and are perfectly happy with living that way. But Jake really can't stop thinking about Jovie and he wants more from her but she has that silly little rule. Can she get over that and let them have the future they both deserve? You have to read to find out because there is just no way I can really say much about this story and not give something away. I really loved this story. I loved the characters and I thought this book was a really great book. It has all the feels, some angst and drama. Just all the things you need to read a perfect little romance that you will not be putting down.

Reading this book felt like I was watching an episode of Chicago Fire - which I absolutely love!

So, Jake is like Chase - he is passionate about work, and he is sweet, gentle, and friendly. He's got his team who are also his buddies and the rock they lean on when things get rough. Jovie is Dawson, she is a tough paramedic who takes no one's shit and gets the job done. The moment Jake sees Jovie, he falls for him - but she basically hates him (?) or at least openly dislikes him.

One thing leads to another and bam. they get together - but is not after some hardcore life experience that makes Jovie question her actions towards Jake, who has confessed that he wants her.

Jake was such a good guy! He is top boyfriend material and his character development was incredible. Jovie, on the other hand, was a little more than stubborn, she border on a real biatch towards Jake at the beginning. And it took some hard work from Jake to get her to even sit with him for lunch.

Great read and can't wait for their friends to get a story!

This was a fun book to read, full of wit and banter, great chemistry and characters that make you want more.

Jake and Jovie had been very happy with their low key no relationship lives they have been living. Married to the jobs as firefighter and paramedic, saving lives is all they have time for. Hurts of the past have keep them on this path.

Sometimes life has other ideas, sometimes the heart wants what the heart wants and there is not stopping it no matter how hard you try. Jovie is determined to not fall for a firefighter as the loss in tragedy is just too hard. When Jake can't get her out of his head, he realizes that maybe he wants more. Will he be able to give them a chance? Will Jovie come to her senses and see what she might be passing up?

I know this was meant to be a standalone book but I am hoping some characters don't stop talking and we might get a couple of additional stories.

This book is HOT!!

A sexy firefighter named Jake meets a beautiful paramedic named Jovie and the sparks fly!!

Jovie tries to fight the attraction and refuses to give in because of a blood pact with her best friend after their firefighter fathers die. But she can’t fight the flames between her and Jake.

Jake wants nothing more than to find out more about the beautiful Italian beauty Jovie, but she fights the attraction at every turn.

When they finally give in, the flames turn into an inferno that neither one of them expected!

This book is sexy, funny, and hot as hell!! I’m so glad these characters got their HEA and I can’t wait to read Lea’s story.

Scorching hot chemistry with these two. Man, Jasinda knows how to hook you into a story and never let you out. The fire (pun intended) between Jovie and Jake was combustible. Their backstory made me hurt, but his devotion to not give up on them was the sweetest. I couldn’t put this book down and I didn’t want it to end. The POV in the epilogue was fabulous and really finished off their story epically. I hope the other guys and gals get their stories.

"Big Hose: A Firefighter Romance" by Jasinda Wilder was a fantastic read. I loved Jake and Jovie's story. This story was full of romance, passion, humor, close friends, hot firefighters, EMTs, entertaining characters, and more. I sincerely hope we'll get to read more about these characters and their friends in the future. Highly recommend it to all fans of romance, firefighters, EMTs, friends, and entertaining characters.

I'm a sucker for firemen. Big Hose was definitely 🔥 Jovi was dead set against firemen, but sometimes you have no choice who you're attracted to, especially when your paths cross frequently. This made the tension and chemistry absolutely 🔥 intense 🔥 I loved Jake and Jovi together. Jake made her look at things differently and Jovi was a bada$$ h. I loved her! This was well written and I loved all the secondary characters, too. Definitely a must read!

I feel like saying Jake and Jovie are hot is an understatement. The chemistry. O. M. G. Beyond Off. The. Charts. It just pours off the pages. No words. I loved the banter, the longing and the deep, so very deep connection they have. Really cute epilogue is a bonus. I’ve never seen one wrapped up in quit that way but it absolutely puts a pretty bow on the love between these two.

I have a hard time thinking that Jasinda is capable of writing a bad book! I absolutely loved this book, I mean what woman hasn’t dreamed of a sexy firefighter right? I really love back and forth of Jake and Jovie and how this book shows so much vulnerability in the most amazing way. Jake was patient, understanding and so willing to wait for her. It’s beautiful and sensual but also hot and sexy. Amazing read as always!

I really enjoyed this one. As a long-time fan of this author, I was thrilled to settle in with this story. It absolutely did not disappoint.

This author consistently provides readers with characters that are easy to enjoy. Jovie and Jake have plenty of reasons why they shouldn't be together, but their connection and chemistry is impossible to ignore. Once they gave in to it, they had some serious steamy scenes!! *whew*

The "will they, won't they" tension is written well and kept me flipping pages. I enjoyed this story, recommend this book, and look forward to reading the next one from this talented author.

These two have had hard pasts and they are both married to their jobs. I love their banter and how their relationship develops. This story was emotional with the perfect blend of fun and heat. Great story!

In mood for some sexy, uncomplicated and fun times? Big Hose by Jasinda Wilder is here for you. This rom com is all about laugh out loud entertainment, steamy goodness and some amazing characters.

Fireman Lieutenant Jake Howson doesn't have the nickname Big Hose for nothing. And this big man is seriously attracted to the curvy sassy EMT Jovie. But Jovie has taken a blood oath with her best friend Lia that she will never date a fireman because she lost her dad in the job and she doesn't want to go through what her mom did.

Jovie and Jake both are very intense and loud characters. Both live for their job as first responders and they never think about the danger once they have a job to do. Bold. Beautiful. And their personalities are colourful. You can feel their electric energy whenever they are in a room. It was a slow burn but also very explosive. I love how Jake is big everywhere. Pun intended. Big body. Big muscle. Big assets. Big heart. Big smile. He has a suitably c0cky arrogance and panty melting charm. And like Jovie, I feel his dedication to his job is a big turn on. Even when he gets promoted to captain, he leads by example. Jovie has a fierce and sassy personality. Sharp wit. Sharp mouth. Sharp sex appeal. Sharp work ethic. She is just amazing. Jake showed Jovie that they have something worthy of exploring but Jovie was scared of getting hurt. Kind of ironical to see our brave girl afraid of heartbreak but I felt her dilemma. They made me laugh so hard and then swoon and then, pant! The whole crew of fireman was just hilarious and I loved their bromance so much. I feel Big Hose is an awesome entertainer that will give you some wild ride.

A scorching hot romance.

I’m a huge fan of this author and when I read the blurb for this; I couldn’t wait to read it.

Jake is a fire fighter and he wouldn’t think twice about running into danger to save someone’s life but he’s a bit more cautious when it comes to his personal life. He’s never short of female attention and rarely sees them more than once but there’s a feisty paramedic who he can’t get off his mind.

Jovie is a paramedic and loves her job but with all the danger and tragedy she sees daily, she tries to keep her dating life simple and that is why she doesn’t date fire fighters. When she first runs into Jake, sparks fly but she ignores them and hopes she won’t see him again so it won’t be an issue.

Jake attends a fire at Jovie’s home and they share a moment that leaves him feeling things he didn’t expect to. When she gives him the brush off again, Jake is determined to show her that she should give him a shot and turns up when she least expects it full of charm. Jovie is determined to stick to the pact she made with her best friend but Jake is one persistent man who is used to getting what he wants so will her resolve finally crack and is she brave enough to let him into her heart?

I really enjoyed this story. Jake and Jovie were easy characters to like and the chemistry between them was scorching. There were some great side characters too and I really hope Erin and Lia get their own books too. This book had humour, heat passion and love and I would definitely recommend it.

-I got this book as an ARC-

Do you ever avoid getting to the end of something because you don’t want it to be over? Well, that was me for like a week…

The story of Jovie and Jake is one of those that trap you and never let you go.

Incredibly sexy and sweet! Jovie, an amazing heroine! In charge of herself and knowing her pleasures. Jake, a sexy firefighter, whom I kept picturing like Adam Demos in my mind, sans the aussie accent, married to the job and dedicated to saving lives…well, both of them really. The way they are described, makes you understand how they feel about each other, the reasons of their decisions in life and in love and about love. How they interact with others and how they feel about their jobs, you end up falling in love with all the characters in this story!

As a non native english speaker, sometimes I find it hard to get hooked on a book, but I gotta say that every time I get my hands on a book written by Jasinda I have no problem at all. I might be a little biased, but that’s because she’s by far my favorite modern writer!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and let me tell you that the epilogue was beautifully written!

I’m glad it’s a standalone and not a series because it gave me an ending and didn’t have to wait until the next one…my poor anxiety!

Anyways, PLEASE READ IT! If you love sexy romance, amazing heroes and an even greater writer, follow my advice!!

A brilliant, well written rom-com with fantastic characters who were meant to be together. Jovie is an EMT who has sworn off ever dating a fireman after losing her father to the job. What a pity no one warned one Captain Jake Howson about that. I loved Jake. He was totally all man but so sweet and teasing with it. It was instant lust when he first laid eyes Jovie but he wasn’t overly pushy about it. To begin with they are more friends with benefits but as soon as she realises her feelings for Jake are starting to deepen, Jovie pulls back determined she won’t be hurt like her mother was. It takes a close call before she realises nothing is ever guaranteed and love is worth it. The chemistry between these two is literally hot enough to set the sheets on fire – good job Jake has a big hose!!! 😉 But there is also a huge fun element to their relationship as well with lots of delicious banter and innuendos going back and forth. When you get past the physical aspects, they genuinely like each other’s company and just hanging out together. When you hear their back stories and all the coincidences in their lives it’s obviously kismet that they met and fell for each other after all what chance does anyone stand against fate! With a fantastic group of secondary characters waiting in the wings I’m hoping that this book will develop into a series

It was my first read by this author and definitely won't be my last one. I loved the banter between Jake & Jovie but also their chemistry as the sexual tension between the two grew. But there were a few things that bothered me as it was too much repetition at times that it annoyed me BUT that's really something personal as some might like to read that kind of thing. I won't say too much as I don't want to spoil it. That said, I liked the writing style and how the story progressed. I am definitely looking forward to reading more of the author's books.

Jake has been a firefighter for as long as he can remember and when an opportunity arises to become captain, he takes the chance with both hands. When he first meets Jovie, there's a lot of chemistry between them but she won't have anything to do with him no matter how hard he tries. Jovie has been through a lot but has great family and friends around her. She loves her job as an EMT carer and just has the biggest heart trying to help everyone. When she first meets Jake, she tries to stay clear of him but everywhere she turns it seems he's always there. The more they get to know each other, the more the attraction grows but Jovie's past seems to be standing in the way of what she really wants. Will they find their way to each other or will be all the walls Jovie has up to be too tall?...

Review: Big Hose by Jasinda Wilder.

I’ve heard great things about Jasinda’s books, but I was in the mood something more leading to fun and spicy, and what better way to bring the hotness than a firefighter story? Yes! It was so good and it brought some emotional aspect, laughs, steamy and even a bit of suspense.

Jovie is a paramedic that together with her best friend, they have a vow to never date a firefighter. It was based in a past family trauma for both of them and it worked well for a couple of years. Until Jake, that gorgeous charming mf firefighter who keep crossing her path and flirting with her.

How long can she resiste him, when he doesn’t give up that easily? When he does everything in his power to win her trust and put down her walls? Jake and Jovie are a seriously hot couple, with a strong mind, who brings the best of each other.

They both have a great support system behind their back, and sometimes we just need to take the leap and believe in what the destiny has on the cards for us. I really enjoyed both of them and who knows, maybe we’ve got some more books in this world? One can only wish.

Reviewed for A Wanton Lover Book Blog

Big Hose is the new romantic book by Jasinda Wilder. In Big Hose, Jake is a career fireman; he is married to his job, works long and often strange hours, and would rush into any dangerous situation to help someone without a moment's notice. Jovi is a paramedic that Jake runs-into at a scene and is in insta-lust with immediately. When they run into each other again, Jovi does everything in her power to dissuade Jake's interest in her but she quickly puts up her walls when she finds out that he is a firefighter. Although the two try to stay away from each other, their attraction and chemistry wins and just when things start to get good, Jake gets called-out. Jovi pulls back when she starts to have feelings for Jake but then in an instant, she makes a choice that will affect their potential relationship.
Big Hose was funny, light-hearted and just a good romantic book. Jake is a dream character and then on top of that, he's a fireman. Jovi is sarcastic, funny, and the life of the party. Jake's and Jovi's chemistry is hot and reflected even hotter in Jasinda's writing. I loved this story and would absolutely love to read a story with Lia and Jose'.

"I think the title says it all, I absolutely adored Jake and Jovie! Jasinda Wilder has done it once again. If you want lots of spice and combustable chemistry with some laughs and tears, this is the book for you.

A sexy firefighter meets the sweet and sassy paramedic, neither looking for love, but can’t seem to stay away from one another. With a terrible tragedy in Jovie’s past, she doesn’t think she can love, but Jake is certain he can change her mind.

Look no further for your next read, Big Hose is a 5+ star story. " ~Stephanie

I have always enjoyed reading men in uniform/firefighter romances, and I found Big Hose by Jasinda Wilder to be a great addition to my collection of favorites. It was a great romantic comedy, but it definitely had some moments that pulled at the heart strings. I have high hopes that there will be at least two more books for Jovie's best friend and step-sister to get their own firefighters. Overall I thought it was a well written book, with great leads, side characters, and a compelling plot of will they or won't they.
Ever since Juvie lost her firefighter father as a child she has a blood oath with her best friend to never date a firefighter and she has stuck to it religiously. But when you're an EMT you happen to run into them a lot. When she continuously runs into Captain Jake Howson her resolve begins to waiver. Her initial assessment of him being a cocky playboy, making it easier to continuously turn I'm down, soon turns out to be wrong and Juvie begins to wonder if she should stick to her blood oath...
Jake has spent his entire adult life working towards his goal of becoming a Captain, and because of that he's never had a serious relationship. Now that he's finally made Captain he still isn't sure he wants a relationship, and then he meets Jovie. He first met the beautiful EMT on a job and since then he can't stop thinking about her and fate keeps throwing them together. The problem is Jovie doesn't date firefighters, but that doesn't stop Jake, he's determined to prove to her that they're perfect together. Will Jake succeed in proving that they're perfect together?

My first book by Jasinda and wow, I can’t wait to read more. Jake and Jovie have the perfect amount of banter, chemistry and sexual tension. Their meet cute and subsequent run ins put a smile on my face. I loved how invested Jake was, even when he didn’t understand why. I also loved seeing the struggle in Jovie. It made her feel more real. I loved the bond that was shown between both the guys group and the girls group. They each had their own village and it was amazing to see how they all worked together to make each other better. I also loved “The Moms”. Women who had already been through hell, but came out on the other side, stronger together and with their families. If you’re looking for a contemporary romance with hot firemen, hot paramedics and steamy treats, this book will be for you.

Jovie made a packed with her best friend Lia.. WE DON’T DATE FIREMEN !! In walks sexy, hot fireman Jake Howson who notices Paramedic Jovie like he is godsmaked right in the face !! He knows and feels he has to get to now her BUT she throws off the get away from me vibe from day one .. BUT that doesn’t stop Jake from trying to get her to like him. He doesn’t know when or how but he will make her his .. at any COST !!

He runs into her more that he thought he would and tries to just be her friend .. buying her lunch, coffee and even a Thermos like the one her dad used to use .. SWOON MY HEART !! Little by little he feels he is breaking down Jovies walls ….

Can he break them all the way down or will a bad fire leave them both devastated …. Omg sooo good and funny too !!
