So I forgot about the night I spent with Sylvie Davis… big deal. Listing all of my one-night stands would be impossible. It’s par for the course for any man who decided early in life they’d rather enjoy a buffet instead of a single entrée. But now my boss has ordered me to accompany her back to her hometown. His words: She needs a little help. Translation: I think you could fall for this girl. Leave it to the MC president, and every other chump in this club, to think I need help where women are concerned. They think love is the final answer in this game of life. If you don’t have it you’re losing. I know they’re wrong, but find myself grateful that I agreed to go. It doesn’t take long for an ex to come sniffing around. I say he’s bad news. She says I’m jealous. With the vibes I’m getting from this guy, I find myself hoping she’s right. The alternative is bad for everyone concerned.
Marie James is a mother of two boys and wife of 17 years. She's spent most of her life lifetime living in central Texas, with only short stays in South Carolina, Alabama, and Florida. Her passions include reading everything under the sun and sewing, although she doesn't get to sew much these days!.
Writing has always been a passion and she's enjoying every step of the journey!
I just love these Cerberus guys and their wonderful, strong women.
We meet Spade, the forever bachelor, one and done, no returns….a night to remember that won’t be repeated…. We also meet Sylvie, totally on board with the no strings arrangement, she also is quite happy in her single life.
But, as they are forced to spend more time together feelings grow and a friendship develops….but which one has the courage to admit their true feelings or will they both remain in denial and try to convince everyone they love the single life with no commitments!!
With some real heart pounding moments and hints at some awful events this will have your chest aching as you try (and fail) to comprehend such horrendous acts.
It’s such a treat to be back with these brothers, their wit and banter together has me chuckling, I love the little hints to future stories as we try to figure out each of the guys. I also like the whole nickname and reveal of their given names as we get each individual story!
Oh but I can predict a real heartbreaker of a story from Aro, I’m so looking forward to the next escape!
4.5 star Review Spade (Cerberus MC #23) by Marie James
Marie James, drew me in and held me captive from the first chapter to the last. This is Dylan "Spade" Pratt and Sylvie, the woman who brought him to his knees story and it was a story that you cannot help but become invested in.
Sometimes when you get to book twenty three in a series there is a concern that the story and the characters will become stale but that is not the case with this series. The characters are engaging and Spade ticked the boxes for me.
Slade isn’t a man who believes in relationships and Sylvie knows that when she agrees to hook up with him for the night. Fast forward a few months and he asks her out again which hurts her feelings as it is obvious that he has forgotten the night they spent together.
There were moments when I wanted to bang Spade and Sylvie’s heads together, they were both so stubborn and frustrating at times. The journey they embarked on was rocky, emotional and entertaining.
After spending a night with a woman how do you forget you spent that night together especially when both of you enjoyed the connection as well as the time in bed. Sylvie couldn’t believe when she had seen Spade again and he acted like it was for the very first time. That’s a sure blow to your ego so she does what she has to by ignoring him.
Sylvie is best friends with Legend’s wife, Faith so when Sylvie has to go back home to straighten some things out Spade is sent to go along with her for protection even if she didn’t think she’d need it. Boy, was she surely mistaken.
Now Spade and Sylvie have this push pull thing going on with neither of them willing to put their heart out there first. There so many twists and turns with surprises galore. As with the rest of the Cerberus men Spade made me fall for him. This is another in this series that I highly recommend.
This is the 23rd book in the Cerberus MC series. Don't worry, they are all stand alones, but I've loved every single one of them. I give it a 4.5. This is Spade and Sylvie's story. These two are a lot alike. Neither want a relationship. They just want the fun. Spade can be sort of an idiot when it comes to feelings. And maybe a little bit of a coward. Sylvie does second guess and overthink things. But she does go through a lot in this book. She deals with a lot of guilt. There is a lot that happens after Spade escorts Sylvie back to her hometown and they return. If they would have just talked to each other, things would have worked out a whole lot sooner. I do love them though. Poor Aro, I can't wait until the next book.
Spade is the twenty-second book in the Cerberus series, WOW 22 books!!! I freakin love this series. The men are strong and the women even stronger! Space is a confirmed bachelor, the kind that is one and done. Sylvie also agrees with that, she likes being single. Spade asks her out a few months after their hook up, she's hurt. He doesn't remember their night. But they begin a friendship that grows into more. There's some drama, I don't want to give anything away, but it will hurt your heart. Overall this was a phenomenal read that is well written with catchy pacing.
It was supposed be a one night stand. No strings attached until he didn’t even remember the night. It burned her and the game of cat and mouse starts until they both realize there all they ever needed.
I still love this series, Marie James keeps writing stories that are unique and with all the elements I love in romance. I love a good long series that you can sink your teeth into. Loved the characters and the story. Another winner for me

This book was sweet spade the wham bam kind of guy became the one woman man but instill don't get how he could of forgot the first time with her. I felt as if something was missing that I couldn't put my finger on as well but it was an okay read
3.75stars-- SPADE is the twenty-third instalment in Marie James’ contemporary, adult CERBERUS MC erotic, MC romance series focusing on a group of former members of the US Armed Forces. This is former Marine Dylan ‘Spade’ Pratt, and Sylvie Davis’ story line. SPADE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Spade and Sylvie) SPADE follows the second chance, frenemies to lovers relationship between former Marine Dylan ‘Spade’ Pratt, and Sylvie Davis. Months earlier Spade and Sylvie had a one night stand, a night Spade cannot remember or why. Believing Spade had ghosted her, and she meant nothing but a fling, Sylvie struggled with what she believed was rejection by the man that stirred something within her heart but when Sylvie discovers her grandfather’s medical bills hadn’t been paid, she must return to her hometown, a return accompanied by our story line hero. What ensues is the building but acrimonious relationship between Spade and Sylvie, and the potential fall-out as Sylvie’s return home may have unearthed a secret that is about to target our story line heroine.
Sylvie’s grandfather aka Big Daddy is in a nursing home but Sylvie has discovered his bills have not been paid. Returning to her home town finds our heroine coming face to face with her past, a past that isn’t quite what they present themselves to be. Spade suspects something isn’t quite right in Sylvie’s home town but his suspicions are ignored, and Sylvie is about to pay the price
The relationship between Sylvie and Spade began as a one night stand that our hero cannot remember. In the weeks that followed Sylvie’s immature attitude and bitterness threatens any possible future with our story line hero; her adolescent behavior is off-putting and constantly places Spade on the defensive. Spade doesn’t do relationships but something about Sylvie pulls at his heart but Sylvie continues to radiate malevolence and animosity whenever they are together. ˇhe $ex scenes are intimate and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and familiar secondary and supporting characters including most of the Cerberus MC. We are introduced to Sylvie’s grandfather Big Daddy Davis, as well as her cousin Naomi, and childhood friend Will Varon.
SPADE is a story of family, friendships, relationships and love; betrayal and trust; heart break and misunderstanding; acceptance and love. The premise is engaging and captivating; the romance struggles in the face of our heroine’s inability to let go; the characters are determined but constantly at battle with one another. Saying that, Sylvie Davis is a difficult heroine to like-her less than stellar attitude, immaturity, and reluctance to forgive and forget, gets old pretty fast.
After 22 previous books the romance and action is still as fresh and emotionally engaging as ever! When two people who don't believe in commitment find themselves growing closer together after their one night becomes more, events turn scorching and suspenseful to bind them together and keep readers glued to the pages. From the first page to the last readers are once again pulled into the world of the Cerberus MC, a world that's becoming increasingly dark and dangerous with each new book.
Dylan "Spade" Pratt is the playboy of the club, the one whose motto is "one and done". When a recent one night stand returns though his life takes a very different turn...if he can just listen to his heart and embrace the promise of forever she brings him. Spade's another delicious hero, the kind who's experienced lots of loss in his past and doesn't want to experience more, so he keeps his heart from getting involved. When Sylvie enters his life though he can't keep from getting involved, especially after meeting her ex who sets off all sorts of warning bells for Spade. Bits of danger, lots of push/pull, and flashes of jealousy soon lead to steamy encounters that slowly have him wanting more from Sylvie.
Sylvie Davis is a tough and sassy heroine, one who's equally okay with not committing to any one guy. When being friends with one of the MCs wives has her falling under their protection she's brought back into close quarters with Spade, while dealing with threats from her past, which slowly has her battling her heart for a future with him. Sylvie's a likable heroine, one who easily goes head to head with Spade in a connection that sizzles in erotically-charged encounters that made me blush a time or two.
On a whole this was another winner in the ever evolving, and increasingly darker, Cerberus MC series. The storyline is going places I never saw coming as the workings of the club and its members is being dug into deeper and more emotionally. The main couple had a crackling connection with encounters that sizzled, and though I was sometimes frustrated by the push/pull between them, for these two bruised souls it made sense. I also enjoyed seeing so many of the Cerberus brothers again, seeing the witty and brotherly banter between them all, as well as glimpses of stories to come as there's many sexy brothers left to take center stage. With this book's thrilling conclusion Ms. James has definitely left readers clamoring for the next installment in a series I wholeheartedly recommend!
I was pulled right into this story. The story has pain, secrets, and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first Kincaid (Cerberus MC, #1) SINdicate (Cerberus MC #1.5) Kid (Cerberus MC, #2) Shadow (Cerberus MC #3) Dominic (Cerberus MC #4) Snatch (Cerberus MC, #5) Lawson (Cerberus MC 2.0 Second Generation, #1) Hound (Cerberus 2.0 #2) Griffin (Cerberus MC #8) Samson (Cerberus MC #9) Tug (Cerberus MC #10) Scooter (Cerberus MC #11) Cannon (Cerberus MC, #12) Rocker (Cerberus MC #13) Colton (Cerberus MC #14) Drew (Cerberus MC #15) Jinx (Cerberus MC #16) Thumper (Cerberus MC #17) Apollo (Cerberus MC #18) A Very Cerberus Christmas (Cerberus MC) Legend (Cerberus MC, #19) Grinch (Cerberus MC #20) Harley (Cerberus MC Series #21) Landon (Cerberus MC Series #22)
This is Sylvie and Dylan’s story. Dylan does not do relationships at all. He does one nights and one night only no second nights. He and Sylvie had one night, and he moves on. Later when she asks her out for a night, she realizes he does not know they had a night already. She is hurt and upset about it. When he is ordered to help her out with an issue that is when things get a little hairy. She is still mad, and he still wants her. Can he figure out how to get her without hurting her more? What happens when she fights the pull, and he does not? Can they figure out their own issues before danger comes at them to take them out? Will he lose her before he gets a chance to prove he wants only her?
SPADE is the 23rd (I think?🤔) instalment of the Cerberus Club series. When I signed up for an ARC copy, I didn’t realise it had so many interconnected stand-alones before and and I was really worried. HOWEVER, this was written so brilliantly that I didn’t feel like I was missing parts of the story, but also left me wanting to go back and read the rest of them 😂
Spade is a hard as nails, no strings attached, bang-em and bin-em kind of guy, which is kind of at odds with how much he cares for his work in the club. Spade’s attitude to hook-ups lead him to a not-so-meet-cute (part 2) with Sylvie. Sylvie takes no shit and has no problem telling him where to shove his new advances. Until shit hits the fan and she has to return to her hometown that she left years ago.
With the towns and family history, it’s not the safest idea to return alone and who out all of Cerberus club gets assigned to accompany her… you guessed it Spade. Having hard conversations with family and meeting old friends, their time together ends swiftly, and the two S’s are in a comfortable “I’m going to deny my feelings for you cause I’m so strong and don’t need anyone” kind of sexlationship, until they realise their trip home didn’t go as simply as planned when crimes of another end up on Sylvie’s doorstep.
Can Sylvies overcome the bone deep guilt she feels and let Spade back in? Can Spade get over his past and get his head out of his arse to win her back? Read it and find out x 💕
I was kindly offered an ARC and am leaving an honest review of my own accord.
Marie James was a new-to-me author when I stumbled upon her first Blackbridge Security book, Hostile Territory, a couple of years ago. It sucked me in, and I couldn’t help but hang on for the crazy ride that comprised the entire series. I’ll admit that the MC genre isn’t my thing, but with a hangover from the Blackbridge series looming, I decided to give this one a try. All the books can be read as standalone titles, and for the most part, I’d say this held true for Spade. There are a lot of side characters, and sometimes I lost track of who was who and who was with whom, but it didn’t detract from the plot at all. I’d love to say that the first chapter pulled me in, and it hooked me from the beginning. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen right away. I honestly felt there wouldn’t be much emotion or plot beyond some crazy sexcapades. However, I hung on, and somewhere around the 25% mark, it had me hook, line, and sinker. Digging into Sylvie and Spade’s pasts was gut-wrenching. When their pasts were fully revealed, I had no clue how the author would take these two to a HEA. It’s a romance, so of course, she got them there. But it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows, and the setup for the following book has me more than curious. If you’re a fan of MC stories that are gritty and raw, you’re going to want to dive into this one.
I’m looking forward to the next in the series and can only imagine by the last chapter in Spade that it will be a doozy of an emotional roller coaster. Bring it on!
Spade is a one and done, love em and leave me kind of guy. He wants no attachments and has avoided them for years. When he sees the beauty at the Care Home, he can’t help himself but flirt with her, but he doesn’t know why she is mad at him or shoots him down.
Sylvia Davis is a woman that is not into attachments, she’s lost a lot in her young life and does not want a permanent relationship or a man to have to answer to. The only man in her life is Big Daddy, her grandfather that raised her. When she has to return to the hometown she left years ago to settle her grandfather’s property, she finds more than she’s looking for. Being a close friend to a Cerberus woman, Sylvia has an escort that she is not pleased to have.
Spade and Sylvia had an encounter months ago, but only one of them remembers it. When they are pushed together for Sylvia to return to her hometown, Spade is still a bit confused as to why she is mad at him, when the night they shared comes back to him, his feelings change. Sylvie is determined to keep her distance from Spade because she’s had enough pain in her life and she doesn’t need a broken heart on top of it. This story has tragedy, cautious H and h, great characters and a secret that threatens to break Sylvie further. I love the story and the characters are always great in the Cerberus MC books. This book was no different. It was an emotional read, but it was great. I give this book a 5-star review and can’t wait for Aro’s book. I love the Cerberus MC books.
Here she goes again pulling me through so many emotions and taking me on such a journey in the pages of just one book. From the very beginning I was invested in this story if for no other reason then to find out how on earth Marie James was going to take these two characters from the epic cluster that was the forgetting moment to a HEA. I knew she had her work cut out for her, but I also was made a believer long ago so knew I just had to sit back and enjoy the ride as the story unfolded.
As usual, I wasn’t disappointed. But it was the way everything happened and all of the emotion it brought forth that really made the story what it was. There was so much I didn’t expect. Tie ins to what the Cerberus members do that I didn’t see coming. Family baggage creeping up to sucker punch the characters from nowhere. And of course, wondering when Spade and Sylvie would get their acts together so they could finally be happy.
But if that wasn’t enough, Marie James had to go and hit us with an ending I never saw coming. These books have definitely been changing and evolving with time. Getting a bit darker and deeper even. And I’m all for it because after so many books she’s still managed to keep it fresh and new for readers like me who have been here since the beginning of the Cerberus books. But I still didn’t see this coming. And I can’t even begin to imagine how everything is going to change for the club or for certain characters. But I also can’t wait to find out.
Spade and Sylvie had an one night stand a few months ago. He blocked that night out of his brain without even realizing he’s doing it, for a specific reason. Sylvie had the time of her life that night without expecting anything afterwards.
When their roads crosses again and Spade doesn’t even remember het, it crushes her ego and feelings. She ignores him all the way and he’s just trying to figure out why she’s reacting like that to him.
Shortly after they see each other again she needs to go to her home town for financial reasons, but she needs protection. So Spade is forced to go with her. They have a rocky start, both with high walls built to protect themselves. Spade and Sylvie break through each other’s walls to get a look in the heart as they go along.
Things get more complicated when Sylvie’s ex comes back into her life and they find secrets that he’s been keeping from the whole world.
I love the way they broke through each other’s walls. Starting to let down their guards. The best and most beautiful thing is how Spade protect Sylvie no matter what. All those nights he spent with her in her bed with just comforting her and reassuring her everything will be ok.
What a sweet story!

Recommend: If you like a love story where the male character is the alpha male and so protective over his people this book is definitely for you!
Sylvie & Spade hooked up in the not so distant past, but when they come face to face again as the book started, he couldn't remember it. She wasn't so happy about that, and I didn't blame her because she wasn't any sort of clingy girl but since she couldn't get it out of her mind, she felt very offended like she wasn't enough. Spade couldn't figure out why the beautiful woman was so pissy with him, and yet, his brothers definitely knew so they had some funny reactions. Things took a turn when Sylvie had to go back home to deal with some things, and Spade was tasked with going with her & they ended up in bed again. See, they had serious chemistry that became undeniable, but despite the rules, feelings were getting caught. There was a ton of hilarious moments in this book with the supporting cast, especially Big Daddy as he stole the show. It was a back & forth situation as she turned Spade's life upside down, and all of a sudden, Spade wanted something he swore he didn't need in his life. Of course there's trouble brewing so the twists were coming in hot & Spade was there to protect her. Once the trouble is over, will these two be left standing in order to have a future together?! You'll have to hit those one click buttons to find out as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
This is the question I asked throughout this read. Why? I admit, getting into this one was a bit slow for me, because of their history and how it made me feel. I think it turned around for me about a quarter into the story, and then I tore through the pages.
Having read all of the prior characters' stories, I get that they are all stubborn - both the guys and their women. But Spade frustrated me so much. Sylvie is just as tough as he is, so the friction between these two is understandable. Their chemistry is great and the steamy scenes are very entertaining, but it frustrated me that they wasted so much time and were apart instead of addressing the feelings!!
I love this club and the support they extend to the people who are in their "world". I wasn't prepared for all of the twists in the storyline, but that is one of the reasons I love this talented author. Every story is extremely suspenseful and addictive. I cannot imagine what is coming next!! But I am totally here for it!!
Please read this story in the correct reading order to get the most from the story and series. I highly recommend reading the companion series (Blackbridge Securities) as well. Worth your time!
The bigger they are, the harder they fall...or in this case, the more in denial they are, the harder they fall...in love.
Dylan "Spade" Pratt is a perpetual playboy, never getting close enough to anyone to form a connection that may be ripped out from under him. He's had too many people taken from him and decides if you don't let anyone in then you can't get hurt. So no close friendships and no repeat performances in the bedroom, just a si.ple one and done.
Until Sylvie.
There's just something a out her he can't shake, aside from blocking their one night together from his memory.
When he's tasked with escorting her to her hometown to finalise the sale of her grandfathers house and their one night becomes two and that first night hits him in the gut when the details of their first night start to pick together bit by bit. Then trouble follows them home in the form of one of her ex's. Spade moves himself into Sylvia's home and her life, and suddenly those pesky feelings worm their way into the mix.
This book was another great read from Marie James and ran my emotions through the wringer in all the best ways.

A night she couldn't forget and he didn't remember. Wow just wow! How could she think anything but what jerk? She knew his reputation but that night was unforgettable--for her. When his boss sent him with her to take care of some business he didn't expect the feelings when she ran into an ex. He thought the guy was dangerous. She thought he was just jealous.
Who was right?
Did he have real feelings? Could or would he admit it? There was plenty going on with the club. It seemed the single guys were falling like fall leaves and happy about it. Not him. Love was pain and he'd had enough. He just didn't understand why he couldn't get her out of his mind. If his boss hadn't ordered him to protect her he didn't know if he'd have been able to ignore her anyway.
Another amazing story in the series. Interaction with some old friends from previous books adds to the emotional story. Bad guys, history, loyal friends, blood and nonblood family, steam, along with the amazing story. Cerebus never fails to pull on the reader's emotions. Thank you, Ms. James, for another winner 6 star winner--oops they won't let me add that extra star.
Spade has rules. One night, one amazing night only. No repeats. But what happens when you see someone you're attracted to and don't remember having a night with her?
Sylvie had a one night stand with a hot Cerberus member. That's all she wanted, that one unforgettable night. Then after running into him she realizes he doesn't even remember it. It's like a slap in the face. To add insult, he is charged with accompanying her to her old hometown to handle some estate business. When they run into someone she used to know, Spade acts like a jealous lover. He says it's a bad feeling. Sylvie doesn't believe that for a moment.
Lines blur and cross. The attraction is too strong to deny and they're away from home. What's some fun whens you're out of towr? When danger comes for Sylvie, can Spade keep her safe? Will he admit his feelings or walk away?
This is truly one of my all time favorite series. I followed this series from the very first book, and it never gets old and it never gets boring. I absolutely love that we get snippets from the other characters from previous books. I'm always excited for the next installment!
Nothing will grab your heartstrings like a Cerberus MC book by Marie James and Spade’s story does just that and then some. The men that make us Cerberus are more than just MC Brothers. They are all ex-military that now sir on specialized teams fighting human traffickers to bring home as many of the missing as they can. Spade is one of the newer members and definitely a lady’s man. He makes sure the ladies know the score up front, it’s one night and nothing more. But imagine Slyvie’s surprise when Spade doesn’t even remember her or their night together. Needless to say this starts a string of events that will have you glued to the pages. Especially when Kincad, Spades Prez and superior, orders him to travel with her to her hometown and protect her from any unknown harms. Little do either of them know this quick trip is going to change the course of Slyvie’s life forever.
This is an amazing heartfelt read that I highly recommend grabbing up, you won’t regret it. As for this reader, I can’t wait for the next Cerberus book to hit the shelves after the hint Ms James leaves us with of what’s on the horizon.
Twenty-three books in the Cerberus MC series and they are still freaking amazing! Sylvie and Spade had one night of amazingness, the only problem, the next time Spade saw Sylvie he flirted with her like he had no clue who she was. It's true, he forgot everything from their one night together, something that for Sylvie was amazing but she knew that Spade was a player when she met him, so she wasn't expecting a ring after, but for him to forget her was just insulting. When Sylvie has some family drama go down, Spade is sent with Sylvie to make sure the drama gets handled, while keeping her safe at the same time. Spade takes this as the opportunity to get a second chance. But how does someone get a second chance when the other person acts like you're not even there?
I know I said this with the last couple of Marie James reviews, but I keep waiting for the story that feels stale and just already done, and once again, Marie James gives us something different and fresh. I am super excited about the new people and their stories, I give Sylvie and Spade 5 stars.
Spade is a slow burn that kept me on edge and ended with a secret and a shot that shook me. I read this book in one sitting because I was hooked! This story was filled with tension, longing, stubbornness and so much need. But the love that was hidden just underneath the surface made me root for this couple because it was angsty, passionate and a simmering fire that I knew was going to expand out of control once these two collided. While I didn’t blame Sylvie one bit for her icy attitude and I would have been humiliated too, I knew once we found out why Spade had “momentary amnesia” I was going to be all in on this moody, sexy, protective man. This book should be read for the car ride, the house, the shower, the lunch, the guys, the necklace and Big Daddy alone. Can I just say Kincaid reminds me why he’s one of my favorites every time he pops up with his spot on advice and commentary. By the time this story was over I wanted a Spade of my very own!
This is another good one from the Cerberus series. Kincaid is becoming a matchmaker in his old age it seems. I did have a few questions when it finished, however.
1) Why did he forget about their night together? I feel like it was touched on but never really explained. It's one of those things that I wished we got more explanation about.
2) Why did Sylvie take him back? To be honest, there needed to be a lot more groveling after literally forgetting about it.
3) Do we get to learn more about the little girl's story? She was a plot device but I feel like there is a lot of potential for her.
4) WHY DIDN'T ANYONE STEP IN AND TELL THEM THEY WERE BOTH BEING IDIOTS? One of my favorite things about this series is that most of the time we see them tackle challenges together and each couple never really separates. But it seems like the farther we get into the series, the more that happens. It really bugs me that we don't see them officially get together until the final chapter. That just felt far too drawn out.
I loved spade and Sylvie this story was amazing but I wanted to strangle them both at one point. They are both hard headed and stubborn. Sylvie is happy with her life all she needs is her best friend and her grandpa. Spade is enjoying a new job and being single. Both are determined to have one night stands and live there lives but when spade and Sylvia have there one night together it ends with spade not remembering it and sylvie ego being hurt. Spade wants a repeat and Sylvia is dead set on that not happening again but when Sylvia has to go back to her home town spade is sent as her pertector. Lines are crossed and enemies are made. Spade and Sylvia end up spending more time then they would like together and feeling start to shife but neither one of them want to admit it. After the danger had past they both have to figure out a way for them to both get what they want. There story is great but frustrating at time but I will recommend it to everyone
Welcome back to the world of Cerberus MC where we get to see Spade and Sylvie's somewhat enemies to lovers story.
When Spade first sees Sylvie, he slides in with his usual smile and charm. Imagine his surprise when she not only scoffs at his advances but also seems disappointed and disgusted with him. When his team teases him about the night they spent together, Spade realizes that he messed up and has his work cut out for him.
When Sylvie sees Spade again she never thought he would introduce himself to her like a stranger. But that's exactly what happened. The man and the night she couldn't forget obviously didn't have the same affect on him.
Sylvie is determined to stay away from Spade but when her past comes barreling into the present plans change quickly. Throw in a meddling MC and they are bound to spend time together. But can they overcome their rough beginning to find a smooth path going forward.
Spade is the twenty-third book in the Cerberus MC, told in dual POV. While this is the twenty-third book, I hope this series never ends!
Spade is an unapologetic bachelor, he has no desire to settle down. He likes his life just the way it is but when he meets Sylvie things become complicated. He don’t remember her and she can’t forget him.
Sylvie didn’t have much growing up but what she did have was the love of her grandfather. When her grandfather gets sick and his nursing home fees start to add up, Sylvie finds herself needing to head back the town she grew up in and ran from a long time ago. When her best friend insists she needs an escort, she finds herself traveling with her best, worst ‘mistake’.
I love coming back to this series and catching up on all the characters and learning about new ones. Thank you Ms. James for another amazing story and while I can’t wait for the next one, I’m not sure I’m ready!
