در این اثر از فاسبیندر فرم و شیوه‌ی روایی خاصی را مشاهده می‌کنیم که با معرفی شخصیت‌ها در آغاز و با پیش‌رفت داستان در امتداد آن مواجهیم.

وسط خیابون هفدهم و در انتظار، در کنارش «مرض مرگ» رو هم بازخوانی کردم، چه انتظار طولانی‌ای. بارون و کسی که باید می‌رسید هم تقریبا همزمان اومدن.
