I really like this one and it was a fun read but I found that some of the parts didn't make sense to me. I felt like I was missing part of the story with how far it jumped in time In a couple of parts.
But a cute read.

⭐️⭐️⭐️

The saying, “Don’t judge a book by its cover.”, really needs to be considered here. This cover, is one of the weirder ones that I don’t like at all. They give me the ick looking at them in my library. But anyways, moving on.

This book was quite a short, but cute read… I guess? Plot wasn’t too difficult. Ellie gets dumped because she can’t have kids, then gets hired by (omg) Weston to teach his psycho daughter (Teagan, who is 5) ballet. And then, plot twist, Ellie gets preggos when she wasn’t supposed to be able too because she is magical! (Jk she’s not, her doctor is just dumb). So, plot was alright, but can I say, Teagan was the best.

Is that even how you spell Teagan? Is it Tegan? Hm. Let’s go with Tegan. She is the best character by far. She is the moment, she is the star, she is the girlboss. Yeah, she may be selfish. But sometimes, you gotta be selfish. Plus this 5-year-old is super cute.

Proposal at the end was the stupidest one ever. Biting into a cupcake and then finding the ring. It’s a no for me.

Now onto the most important part. Is this book Maya readable. Absolutely not. Don’t read this one. Tegan’s so cute, but Weston is #weird

This was a good read. Ellie is a dance instructor and is hired to teach Weston's daughter dance. They hit it off and sparks fly. I loved the interactions between Ellie and his daughter. Thankfully after a misunderstanding between Ellie and Weston everything works out and they get their happy ending.

A great love story. Crystal Monroe did an excellent job on this story.
Ellie was trying on a wedding dress when her phone rang, her fiance, Andrew, was calling to tell her he had been having dreams that he was surrounded by many children, he need to be a father. Because she could not have children, he was not going to marry her. Ellie had been in a car accident that left her unable to conceive. Ellie is a ballet instructor, due to the accident she had to leave her professional ballerina career.
Weston's wife had left him years ago and he was raising his 5 years old daughter, Teagan, by himself. Teagan was taking ballet, and when he got there early to pick her up, she was waiting for him. Teagan told him she had been kicked out of the class for joking around. Weston had to find her another instructor because Teagan wanted to go to The Los Angles Performing Arts Academy and she had to prepare for her audition.
Weston found Ellie and after her lesson with Teagan, Weston asked her to teach Teagan in their home dance studio and to move into his Guesthouse until Teagan's audition.
Teagan and Ellie become very close. Weston and Ellie become more than just friends. What will happen between Weston and Ellie? Will a miracle happen?
Please read this book. It is one that you don't want to put down. I hated to see the story end.

Weston, a single dad raising his strong-willed daughter Teagan, is in desperate need of a dance teacher for Teagan prior to an elite ballet academy audition.

In enters Ellie, an ex-professional ballet dancer who is struggling financially after her insensitive fiancé dumps her due to her inability to conceive after a life altering car accident.

When presented with the opportunity to benefit financially while continuing to dance, Ellie at first, tries to ignore the mutual attraction she and Weston experienced during their first introduction. Their chemistry continuing to evolve the more time they spend together, leads to complications once Ellie becomes pregnant with a miracle baby.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were strong, believable, and well written. It was an easy read and I found I was invested in Weston, Ellie and Teagan's outcomes.

Readers who enjoy sweet romance, second chances, miracle babies, and a straightforward story will definitely enjoy this book.

Heart wrenching to heart healing...
Loved the hero, a rich techno whiz, but wanted to smack some sense into him at times, his actions & words could be unkind & insensitive. Yes, he was stressed about work & raising his child single handidly but he didn't appreciate how lucky he was to have such good people around him. The heroine taught ballet to young children & was hurting from being dumped when she was trying on wedding gowns for her forthcoming nuptials. A road accident robbed her of being able to have children. Hired by the single dad to coach his precocious daughter she moved in to a guest house on his property & as they interacted he became increasingly attracted to her. No more spoilers but you will likely become deeply invested in their journey. Highly recommended. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.

Cute story

This is a pretty good story. Few typos but nothing that takes away from the story. *** Spoiler*** the only thing I would have changed or added is Ellie and Weston running into Andrew when she was very pregnant or after having the baby. A must read when you need a sweet HEA book

Dreams of Dance and Love—Past, Present and Future

An adult ballerina didn’t awaken one morning, and as a young adult and decide, at that advanced age, that she would become a ballerina. Rather, an adult ballerina, as a young child and with the support of the adults in her life, began to study and to adopt the habits that would permit a childhood passion to become an adult profession. Ellie Stanton made those childhood decisions so that as an adult, her body’s fitness and training would allow the childhood passion of the lithe blonde haired, green-eyed woman to dance and to teach ballet.

But when Ellie was 27, one drunken, speeding driver ended not just the child’s dreams of dancing, but also the adult’s ability to have a career as professional dancer—a career that might have lasted another 10 or 15 years. And while Ellie continued to be involved in the world of dance as a teacher of others with the dream of dance, she lost forever a dream she did not even appreciate as a child—the dream of becoming a mother. While her life was spared, the accident not only destroyed her dreams of dance, but the internal damage and scaring left behind removed her ability to conceive and to carry a child.

And, 2 years later, Ellie has learned to shift her dreams—the dream of dancing became a dream of equipping other young dancers. Similarly, her dream of parenthood could be fulfilled by fostering or adoption. But, when Andrew, her boyfriend and later fiancé, drew closer to the day of their wedding his professions of devotion began to alter. And, with exquisite timing, he finally reached his decision. As she literally was with her besties trying on wedding dresses, he called to inform her that he wanted to not just be a father, he wanted to be a biological father and since she could not carry his biological child, he could not move forward with their wedding plans. He was withdrawing his marriage proposal.

So, once again, Ellie’s life plans changed. She packed her clothes, rented a studio apartment near the dance studio where she taught, and once more, began to adjust her dreams for herself and her future, this time, without Andrew. But, living on her salary as a dance instructor was challenge. So, when a new client was very late to her introductory lesson, Ellie waited—she needed the new student.

Weston King, the tall, 37-year-old divorced dad is doing everything he can to assure that his 5-year-old daughter’s dream of dance be fulfilled. But, the bright, energetic young dancer is too much for her current teacher, Miss Angelica, an older woman unable to manage her energetic pupil, and so, has kicked the young ballerina out. But, the blue-eyed, chocolate brown-haired CEO/IT entrepreneur dad is willing to do whatever he can to allow his sweet girl to follow her dreams. And so, the billionaire divorced dad has searched for another talented teacher and Ellie Stanton’s name has been recommended.

So, finally, dad and daughter arrived late, but the meeting of young student and potential teacher had gone well. Since getting the 5-year-old to her lessons will be difficult, after meeting the Miss Ellie, dad has a proposal. Perhaps the teacher can come to the child since dad has built a studio where is only child can dance. But, since her accident, she doesn’t happily drive anywhere. Her current sad studio apartment is only acceptable because she can walk to the studio. But dad will do anything for help his only child achieve her dream of dancing and starting school the next year at the Los Angeles Performing Arts Academy. So, he offers a compromise: for the months leading up to Teagan’s audition for the performing arts academy, Ellie will reside at the Kings’ Malibu home, living in an apartment attached to the dance studio that has been built for Teagan’s dance dreams. And to sweeten the pot, Weston will also cover the rent of Ellie’s LA studio apartment. Ellie can’t say no—and she doesn’t want to say no. And so the lessons for the aspiring dancer will begin as well as the partnership of father and teacher to support the dreams of Teagan.

This book has everything
...or almost everything

This is an enjoyable book, it delivers the emotional beats one would expect, the steamy times are steamy although a little short, and the characters are believable considering the short time we spend with them.
However there's a few things i hold against this book, things that stop me from really liking it, namely:

I don't feel like I got a strong sense of the physicality of the MCs, yeah she's a blonde green eyed dancer with a hot bod and he has blue eyes and brown hair, muscular, maybe massive with a "toned yet cushiony" ass and that's it. All this spread across the whole book so by the time your reading these descriptions you might find you've been picturing the characters in the wrong way. Add to this the lack of "bossiness" on the page from the supposedly "Bossy Single Dad", is as if the author forgot that a) he wasn't actually bossy within the story, or b) this book was supposed to be called that. Maybe "Guilty Caring Single Dad", although more appropriate, doesn't sell as much. Also the 5 year old daughter doesn't really sound like a 5 year old.

There's one particular subplot that's barely mentioned after its introduction, leads nowhere, and could have been easily scrapped

Finally: The main conflict that leads to the resolution of the plot feels unexpected in a very forced way, like you think the story is trying to make you see this trope is about to happen but the characters themselves have done nothing to support this theory so it can't possibly happen but then it does happen and it gets resolved a few pages later in the limpest way possible and then we're back on track to where we knew the story was going from the very beginning which is probably why we picked this book in the first place.

In conclusion this book either needed a few more pages to earn the denouement it has or those 2 plot points could have been replaced by a few more scenes of the MCs spending time naked and we would all be happier about it either way

It might sound like I'm complaining about a lot of the text but I did enjoy it.

Ellie is standing in a wedding dress at the bridal shop when she gets a call from her fiancé Andrew. Ellie was a ballet dancer until she was in a car accident. The accident destroyed her chance of ever being a professional ballet dancer and she can never have children. Andrew was okay with that until Ellie got the call from him at the bridal shop. Andrew broke up with her on the phone. Ellie wasn’t completely upset because she was having doubts about the relationship anyway. Ellie now teaches ballet and she loves it. Weston is a single dad to 5 year old Teagan. His ex wife left them when Teagan was two. Weston is the CEO of an IT company. When Weston went to pickup Teagan from her ballet class he found out that Teagan had been permanently banned from the class because of her hijinks. Weston was at the last ballet class that had any vacancies. When Weston saw Ellie dancing through the window he was immediately attracted to her. Ellie agreed to teach Teagan private ballet lessons to get her ready for the elite dance school that Teagan wants to go to. There is only one problem Ellie has a hard time driving and Weston wants her to teach Teagan at his home. Weston offers Ellie the guest house for two months to get Teagan ready. The chemistry between Weston and Ellie is outrageous. Since they had both been hurt before they made a pact to not fall in love and that they can have sex and not become attached. What will happen when Ellie finds out she is pregnant with Weston’s baby? Will Ellie tell Weston after he told her he didn’t want anymore kids? Will Ellie fall in love with Weston? Will Weston fall for Ellie? Will Teagan want to have Ellie around? Will Weston and Ellie find happiness and love?

Ellie is an ex-ballet dancer, after an accident she was no longer able to dance professionally and it left her unable to have children. She ends up being dumped by her fiance while trying on a wedding dress when he realises he cannot give up being a biological father. Luckily, Ellie was having reservations about the wedding anyway, so even though it was hard for her to get over it was also a relief.
Weston is a tech billionaire, he has a 5 year old daughter who loves to dance. After she is kicked out of her ballet class for being too disruptive, Weston needs to find another dance class for her. He books a private lesson with Ellie and after the first class asks her to teach his daughter exclusively for the next 2 months to help her prepare for a dance academy audition.
Ellie agrees to help teach his daughter and is even offered his guest house to live in during the 2 months as Ellie has a hard time driving after her accident. But even though it is an unusual offer, she accepts and it helps her decision that Weston is attractive.

They are both attracted to each other and even though they try to maintain a professional relationship, it doesn't last. They agree they cannot fall in love with each other after both having been hurt by past relationships. But now something Ellie thought could never happen has happened, she is pregnant with Weston's child. Will Weston be happy about the new baby, is this something that can help lead them both towards a happy ending and will they finally allow themselves to fall in love again.

I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it.

4.5 Star Romance

Loved this romance about Ellie and Weston. She’s a former ballerina who has had to resort to teaching dance since a drunk driver hit her and her injuries ended her dancing career, and her doctor has determined that she will also be infertile because of extensive scar tissue from her injuries. t also ended her future with her fiancé Andrew who determined that he wanted children of his own. She’s living in a small efficiency apartment and working non-stop when she meets Weston, a single dad of adorable Teagen, a five year old aspiring ballerina. He’s also a wealthy businessman who will do anything for his little girl, and offers Ellie a two month contract to teach Teagen dance, and also a generous salary as well as housing in his guest house. Ellie and Weston sizzle and fall into each other’s arms. They both do not want romance or marriage and are happy with satisfying each other’s sexual desires. When Ellie’s interaction with Teagen has the little girl thriving, Weston realizes she isn’t the only one affected in a positive way by Ellie. I could not put the book down, however there was just a bit too much angst as the main characters fought to resist each other and deal with a surprise that is thrown in their way. I felt the book dragged a bit in the final chapters but was otherwise a sweet romance.

Weston King is the owner of an up and coming IT company and a single father to 5 year old Teagan. Teagan loves dancing, especially ballet and has her heart set on going to a pretentious dance school. However, her recent ballet teacher has kicked Teagan out of her class. Weston finds Ellie, a dance instructor and former professional ballerina. Due to a horrific car accident that almost took her life, Ellie is told that she will not be able to have children. Ellie's fiancé suddenly decides to break up with her leaving her unprepared for living alone and scared to trust that someone would want her since she is unable to have children. The sparks fly between Weston and Ellie from first sight. They try to fight the attraction but ultimately give in and decide to have a secret fling. Then Ellie gets the surprise of a lifetime. Will Weston and Ellie be able to allow their love and devotion to each other overcome the surprise or will it tear them apart?
This book contains no cheating with a beautiful HEA that brought happy tears to my eyes. I highly recommend this book. Another great read from Ms. Crystal. .

Ellie is in a wedding dress at a dress shop when her fiancé calls and ends things with her over the phone. Devastated because he used something she can't control as the reason to ends things. Ellie throws herself in giving dance lessons. Weston is a single father to five-year-old Teagan. Teagan loves to dance but her current class isn't challenging enough for her which has her acting up. When Weston goes to pick her up, he finds her outside crying, and he isn't happy when he learns why. He doesn't want her to fall behind in her practice of dancing, so he found the studio Ellie is working at. Ellie and Teagan have an instant bond. However, he wants Ellie to come to their home studio to teach his daughter. When she tells him that she can't travel like that he offers her his guest house. Its not long after she takes the job that things heat up between her and Weston. Yet when something happens that is a miracle for Ellie she worries how Weston will respond. Can they have a future together?

This is an amazing story once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

What happens when two single adults, each nursing painful wounds from a previous love, decide to hook up and agree to not catch feelings? They catch feelings!! Complicating matters, he's a single Dad with a five-year-old prankster daughter who's determined to get into a prestigious dance academy. She's a retired prima ballerina with a tragic backstory who agrees to privately teach his daughter for her audition for the dance academy. He's immediately attracted to her and agrees to her pact while insisting that she dance for him so he can focus on his work as a CEO of an app company. They live and work together daily while building up to secretly enjoying hooking up on the regular, while each denies their feelings for the other. Secrets, major life changes and a near tragedy will either bring them together or have them going their separate ways. A sweet romantic build up with hot scenes makes this a perfect escape read.

A Second Chance in Many Ways

Ellie was in a severe car accident 2 years ago where her bright future had evaporated & wasn't quite as rosy as her dreams have been until that fateful day. Her fiance breaks it off as he cannot envision adopting children. Life goes on until she's hired by Weston, a billionaire single dad who is looking for a ballet teacher to teach his 5 year old daughter. Instant attraction & a growing love for each other as well as Ellie bonding with his daughter, Teagan.

This story has all the 'good feels' of a love-at-first-sight relationship of a boss/employee scenario, turning into second chances, a miracle & a HEA. This novel is one where you are captivated with the characters, drawn into the story of their romance & being a witness to their love blossoming. This is one of the love stories which lingers in your heart & mind for a long time. This is my first novel I've read by Crystal Monroe & I'm looking forward into reading more of her novels.

I loved this sexy steamy book. It kept my interest and I kept wanting to continue reading it.

After Ellie had her car accident, she was told that she would never dance professionally again. Also, because of all the trauma to her pelvis, she would never be able to get pregnant. Her fiancee "dumps" her whilst she is trying on her wedding gown.

Ellie now teaches ballet. She is struggling financially. She meets 5-year-old Tegan and her sexy single dad, Weston King. Weston employs Ellie for two months to teach Tegan at his mansion. She can live in the guest house.

Weston and Ellie are drawn to each other. Then Ellie finds out that the doctor was wrong. She is pregnant, but Weston has said several times that he does not want any more children.

Ellie has to tell Weston, but something always gets in the way.
What will happen when Weston finds out Ellie is pregnant?
What will his reaction be?

You need to read this delightful story to find out.

The story does have a lovely ending.

Ellie was a ballet dancer until a severe MVA destroyed her dream of dancing professionally. She was also told the accident destroyed her chance of becoming a mother. While wedding dress shopping, her fiancée breaks off their engagement over the phone due to her inability to have children. Weston a single parent whose 5 year old daughter dreams of attending a prestigious dance school. Due to his demanding schedule, he has issues get her to dance class and instead hires Ellie as a live in dance teacher. Once under the same roof, the tension between them is tangible. Due yo their pasts, both have a negative outlook on relationships. Can they overcome their hurdles to achieve the HEA? Their story was entertaining and read in one sitting. Personally, I would have loved an event or epilogue with both of their ex’s receiving their comeuppance!

Gentle romance with some lovely characters. As a result of a car accident before the story starts, ballet dancer Ellie has lost her career and the ability to have a child. The reader’s sympathy is immediately aroused as the story begins with her fiancée ditching her shortly before their wedding. I really enjoyed that way Ellie and Weston meet with his cute little daughter in tow looking urgently for a new ballet teacher for her. The main characters are extremely likeable and as a reader, you find yourself rooting for them. I liked how the plot develops with Ellie moving to Weston’s guest house and her preparing little Teagan for a stage school audition; I loved how Ellie & Weston’s feelings develop with the proximity – leading to, for Ellie anyway, a miracle. The writer takes the reader through the ups and downs of the relationship towards their lovely HEA. A really enjoyable read.

This is a great book, I thought it sad in the beginning loosing her parents and her sister moving away. Ada finishes school and now is invited to her sister's wedding. It did not go as she planned but it was a trip that her sister paid for. On the way back she is bumped up to first class where she meets Grant but gives him a fake name. There is weather and they have to land, and her seat mate is just a great character and very snarky. They get along great. Since they are grounded overnight he gets a room and talks her into sharing it with him. She did not get his last name to let him know the news. This is a great story with plenty of action and ups and downs. This is a great book and the character's interaction was well written and so entertaining. .

Fairytales Can Come True Sometimes

Great book. Though I though Teagan, Weston’s daughter should have been In story more. She is the Future ballerina that Weston hires Ellie to teach.
The last few years have not been kind to Ellie. Car accident, where she is told because of the injuries can never have children. Than while trying on her Wedding dress for her wedding she gets a horrible call from her fiancé, sometimes men are truly jerks.
Weston is looking for a ballerina teacher for his daughter Teagan. He finds Ellie on accident and begs her to work one on one with Teagan.
How can she say no? Weston offers Ellie her guesthouse and more.
They are instantly attracted to each other and try to keep it business only. But, Weston can’t keep himself away from Ellie. Nor can she.
It’s a beautiful love story. Yes there is troubles. But, they intend to make it work, together.

I definitely recommend it.

I think Ellie and Weston are my fave couple of this series although it still wasn't great.

Ellie is dumped by her fiance while in a wedding dress (just trying it on) because she cant have kids after an accident (seems harsh)

Weston needs a dance teacher for his daughter Teagen.

The both say they don't want a relationship but they kiss right at the beginning. He is struggling to finish a project and one night while she is dancing near him he gets a lot done and decides she is his muse so pays her extra to dance while he works.

Eventually they agree to no strings/friends with benefits relationship but shes in love with him after the second time.

Then she gets pregnant and its over

I didn't like that there was no communication between them at all. She finds out shes pregs at 50% but doesn't tell him until 80%. Teagen doesn't sound like a 5 year old

There was a bit where she told him she had just been through a bad break up - that's all, no details and after she thinks'i just shared a very personal part of my history' you didn't share shit love. It actually made lol when she said that.

Like i said i think this is my favourite of the lot but still had issues. Why didn't they just talk to each other!! Nice epilogue though. I saw some reviews that said the proposal was childish. Well yeah, Teagen planned it and shes 5 so you know. I thought it was cute!

After a tragic accident results in 29-year-old Ellie losing her promising professional career and later losing her fiancé because of infertility, the struggling L.A. ballet instructor finds herself offered the opportunity and challenge of a lifetime preparing the rambunctious five-year-old Teagan for performing arts school while trying not to fall in love with her wealth LA computer programmer CEO father Weston King.
Contains many steamy scenes, touches of drama, and a happy ending.

This is part of the Bosses and Babies Series but is read as a standalone. Ellie and Weston were both burned by love and determined to never fall in love again. She's a former prima ballerina whose life took a different turn after a car accident. He fiance walked out on their wedding day after learning she is unable to have children. Fate leads her to Weston when she is hired as a live in ballet teacher for his adorable five year old. Their chemistry is off the charts and the book has some steamy scenes. Turning The Tide On Love -
Weston and Ellie has both given up on love because of the trauma they suffered in a previous relationships. However, fate had a different idea and brought them together using a precocious and lovable five year old. Their connections was instantly evident, but their weariness made them place obstacles in their own path to happiness. It would take an incident that shook both of them to the core, to make them realise they couldn’t live without each other.

This is a definite must read for any romance reader looking for a captivating insta-love story, with a heartfelt storyline, engaging characters and intimate moments that will have you squirming in your seat.

3.5 stars. Really enjoyed the storyline main characters were well suited and such a precocious little girl. Right combination of drama love romance but I had a huge issue that Weston went to the pool house for hours leaving his 5 yr old asleep in house alone, this actually took the enjoyment from the book, he didn’t take a baby monitor to Herat if she woke and the danger factor just riled me. He went out for sex and few hours sleep before going back home… big no no for me.
And the other thing I’d have wanted is for Ellie and Weston to have bumped into her ex who dumped her when she was pregnant as he dumper her because they thought she couldn’t conceive…
Overall tho enjoyable and I do love this author.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Ellie Stanton & Weston King. Can two people who have been broken in the past find a HEA? This is a question both Ellie & Weston have to ask themselves. You see Ellie was engaged to be married but because of an accident 2 years earlier she can't have kids so he broke it off. Weston was married but after they had their daughter she decided this wasn't the life she wanted and left them both and served him with divorce papers. One look and they both know there's something there but can they take the leap?

Amazing story by this author. Once you start you won't be able to put it down. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Great read. Weston is a single father of a bright but mischievous 5 year old who loves to dance. After getting thrown out of a dance school for pranking Weston hires Ellie to privately teach his daughter Teagan so she can apply to a prestigious dance school. Ellie was due to get married but her fiancee dumped her while she was trying on her wedding dress as she had been told she couldn't get pregnant as a result of a car accident 2 years earlier and her fiancee decided he did want kids after all. Although sad about the breakup she had had doubts about the wedding. Ellie took the offer from Weston and moved into a guesthouse with a studio to teach Teagan. This is their tale of surprises, miracles and love. I highly recommend this book.

3.5**** stars. Weston, an IT app nerd, hires Ellie to privately teach his five year old daughter a routine for an audition at a performing arts school. Ellie was a performing ballerina until she was involved in a car accident that ended her career and left her infertile. He finds her to be an inspiring muse to finish his programming and they spend an inordinate amount of time together. Thinking that she cannot conceive, they bypass using any birth control. It’s gets complicated when he mentions that he doesn’t want anymore children. Now, there’s a problem….. .
